My experience was great! Last night I went to Mamasushi with a friend of mine and we were greet by a tall build handsime guy lol, the host was a female who guide us to our seats near the street ( Not too transit) it was okay Few seconds later our waitress came introduced herself (her name is Ana) she offer water or mineral water. She came back with our water and I ask us if we want something to drink I looked at drinks menu and I ask her which one of those drinks are from light to strong and she couldn't answer my question but she said ( The bartender use measurement cups but if I wanna a lite drink she can let him know) in my personal opinion all waiters and waitresses should know about drinks so they can recommend which drinks suit your customers needs! Well I ordered the Chinola and my friend had Honey drink; she came back with our drinks She asked if we were ready to order our food and yes we were lol, I had Steak medium well with Tostones and my friend had sushi platter. Omg drinks were super delicious ( Not too strong) and the food speechless.. few minutes after our food arrived they were a large group and they asked us if we could seat near the heater on the other side we said yes and we were glad we did because it was super warm and I think it was the manager he asked us if we want him to turn on the lights we said no because we have enough lights where we were seating (Thanks) they did their best to made us feel comfortable after they moved us to another table. The music is loud but not in uncomfortable annoy way unless you are inside the restaurant After we finished eating she came back to asked us if we would like something else and of course we had our second drinks but this time it was strong made My head spinning lol the Bodyguards were checking for drunkers ... Ana was very attentive, she was checking on us very frequently and how the food was etc she personally likes what I ordered and she mentioned to me ( when she started working there, she had the tostones by self almost every day) yummy Tostones and the steak was really tender. The first time I tried to experience this restaurant I was turned away, forgot the reason to be honest. Years later I tried again and there was no issue whatsoever. Splitting our bill 3 ways each person paid $90 tip included. What really bothered me is how 18% gratuity was automatically included for a party of 3 for lunch/happy hour during the week. We had to get our servers attention multiple times when he should've checked on our table in general (he was clearly seen having conversations at the bar with the bartender as drinks were being prepared) and it wasn't even crowded, so gratuity shouldn't have been automatic and especially not for that percentage. A customer should be able to confirm what they feel their server deserves Based Off Performance, if you want a decent or good tip then be attentive majority of the time, it's just that simple.

Food is decent. Customer service is HORRIBLE. The first time I went here, had a good time, food was good, drinks were good. The second time, a group of us went, there was a dead roach on the table, we spoke to the manager and he tried to fix it by giving us another round of drinks (literally only juice in that rum punch, not sure if he thought we were too drunk to realize) the 3rd time I went here, stood by the door to get seated for at least 10 minutes, was not acknowledged by anyone and decided to leave. The girls working here needs serious customer service training, they just stared us down while we waited. They have some good food items on the menu but really needs to work on customer service, I know it's the bronx and good customer service don't exist here but at least try to be a little nice.

The food here is outstanding!! Really creative and everything was delicious. The sushi is fresh. The drinks are a little light but that may just be a personal taste as I like my drinks rather strong and it is very expensive so be prepared before going. It is definitely worth what you pay though! We had the duck dumplings appetizer and the coconut fried shrimp, both exactly what you would expect. Very fresh and delicious. The real surprise comes when you read through the sushi menu. There are so many unusual combinations it is hard to choose. We had a roll with steak and bacon in it that was delightful. We also got the classic spicy tuna and California rolls both which were very nicely done. Overall a good place to eat. The menu is very large though so maybe take a look before you head out or you might be sitting there deciding for some time.

I had my go to which is the El Montro. Super delicious. It was great as always. I then had a side of chicken chosen which I should have known would have filled me up on its own lol. I started with the chicken bao bun which was also delicious. My friend had a coconut drink, I forget the name but it comes in an actual carved coconut with mamasushi etched in it. It was super cute and my friend loooved it. I love this location because it's more spacious and closer to me.

Came here today on Mother’s Day 05/14/23 and they had a specific menu for Mother’s Day and the manager came and snatched the menu from my brother, mother and me because they did not have enough menus to show others. It is rude to do that to anyone especially a paying customer and that is definitely unacceptable from a manager that should know better. Will not be coming back here. They should’ve printed out the menus on paper if anything to have enough for everyone. Poor preparation and management. The food however did taste good which is why I’m giving the whole experience one. He did not even bothered to apologize. I did not get to capture the names of the plates because of how quickly he snatched it. $140 for 3 plates.

If you are coming with a group of more than five people I would avoid this place. I’ve been a few times and the food is good but this time we had an issue and asked to speak to the manager and he looked at our table and refused to speak to us. We didn’t go during a busy time so I’m not sure why he was giving us so much attitude. Our sever Karina was so nice and tried her very best to help us. The food came out cold and it just wasn’t a great experience for my friends visiting New York. Hopefully that manager learns how to interact with others in the future

I love the attention we were given upon arrival. We were seated quickly after being asked if we wanted to sit indoors or outside. I asked about a certain dish and was given a great description by the waitress. I also asked that I be given a separate glass with ice because I did not want drink to get watered down while we waited for our food. The atmosphere was so awesome, music low light and the beautiful breeze that came from outside was extremely comforting. This restaurant is a bit pricey but so well worth it. The food was so delicious I highly recommend.

Mamasushi is always a great time regardless of time or the group I am with. Happy Hour is such a bonus and the drinks are awesome - definitely can taste the love poured in the drinks. All servers seem to express true desire to provide good customer service. Our server was very attentive but not annoying. The food was delicious and so filling. Such a wide variety, can't go wrong with anything you choose. If you do have trouble choosing, you'll just have a bigger bill. The only con or downfall is the bill, there is an automatic gratuity but the staff deserves it. They offered us hookah but didn't have an opportunity to try it.

Came to eat on a Tuesday night. It was quite empty when my son and I arrived. It quickly filled up. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer and some type of chicharron. The shrimp was very good, cooked perfectly. The chicharron appetizer was difficult to eat. It was like tiny little pieces of chicharron and I think small balls of Mexican crema. They should of added little crackers or bread. We were then served a steak bento box and pan seared halibut. Both were good. the halibut was cooked very well - served with yellow rice and carrots/asparagus. My son loved the steak bento bo. The steak was also cooked quite good. The staff is very attentive. There are lots of them- the staff is quite large.

Food was "okay" and overpriced, couldn't really enjoy it because I was choking on very heavy hookah smoke while trying eat. It should be noted that there was a child in my dinner party and there were other children at the restaurant at the time of my visit as well. Music was way too loud, not the place to go if you're wanting to have conversation with your party during your meal. It generally has a club atmosphere with food, definitely not the experience I expected.

Went for lunch with my family, and while the place was not too crowded, the sushi we ordered took way too long to come. Makes me wonder if they did some fishing before coming to the restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, and that’s probably the only reason to go. A little overhyped on social media for just okay food. Our family is 5 spent $145 on food, which were two rolls each, some had mashed potatoes as sides the rest didn’t. In the end, I’d probably pass unless someone invites you….

I went to mamasushi in the bronx . Everything was delish . I got the fish wonton tacos for an appetizer with a mango margarita that was made to perfection. I came during happy hour so prices were pretty reasonable . The specialty mexicano roll was so delicious and I also had the specialty shrimp tempura bento box that came with a miso soupwhich was also good. I had to leftovers since I ordered so much food for just me. Overall 10/10. Ill be back and I'm bringing friends next time !

The staff was extremely rude and wanted to rush us out 45/1 hour before closing. Only it says they close at 1 and we left at 12:35. I couldn’t even enjoy my sisha I felt so rushed. The staff clearly didn’t want to make us feel comfortable. I will never go back because there are better sushi places and better sisha places that don’t want to rush us out. I also asked the hookah girl for 5 more minutes since it was the first time she came and she just stood there fore 2 minutes and then said ok done. We also had 4 non alcoholic drinks which came out to $30 which shocked me. Never going back.

Every time I've been to Mamasuhi I can't decide on what time pick so many Dominican/Asian fusion meals to choose from! Last time we tried the pu pu platter( a little bit of everything). I love their dish names totally Dominican relatable names, I get a kick out of them. Beautiful Asian decorations, outside seating and great music what else could you ask for. Easily accessible and not far from a major Bronx highway, I can't wait to visit again.

I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews but I was terribly disappointed. As a RESTAURANT that has children dining indoors I'm confused as to why patrons are smoking hookahs indoors. Second the food was subpar and maybe its because the area the food is being prepared in lacks proper lighting. Third why is the music so loud that servers are either yelling to be heard or screwing up orders. Dining out means eating and hopefully conversation with those you are with, so if you are looking for a peaceful meal this is not the place for you.

Took my family for my wife’s birthday. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The host and all the staff were friendly and attentive I had shrimp tempura bento box, shrimp was ok breading a little heavy for tempura. Best thing was the lamb lollipop appetizer and the strip steak. Vegetable chofan could use more flavor and I’m not into the gyoza fried all in all good experience

The only reason it's not getting 5 starts is because I feel the drinks menu was a bit misleading. They showed us a Happy hour menu and then when the bill came and we assumed it's 2 for 1 like the usual happy hour they said no, it's just a bit cheaper for the drink... so we ended up paying for drinks we wouldn't have necessarily ordered. Other than that it was perfect. Food, drinks, service... enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be back.

My coworkers and I stopped in for dinner after work and the customer service from beginning to end was great. Our waitress Elsa was really polite and checked on us frequently. The drinks were tasty and the food was flavorful. This was my first time trying Octopus and I was not disappointed. I had the tempura shrimp roll which was good (it's a safe dish) so I'm eager to go back and try other things on the menu. I also like the music in the background, it gave me a lounge vibe. We were dancing in our seats.

The sushi hits! The vibes are good! Music is great!! But the rice - the chofan rice is hard. I ordered it 2x trying to give it another try and the rice grains are SUPER under cooked. The rice is such a disappointment! I ordered a passion fruit margarita pitcher as well it was just ok. I’ll go back for their sushi!

The place is beautifully decorated inside and out. We opted to eat outside due to the wonderful breeze. The waiter was attentive answering all my questions. The drinks were strong and very good! But the food was so tasty! I had the Mama sushi rolls and the ribs. Let me just say thats my kinda sushi! The sauce on the ribs were amazing. Bae had the salmon Bento box and he kept saying how delicious everything was. Def of you haven't check Mama out with the quickness!

Came here with three teenagers. We enjoyed the Ambiance of the Restaurant very much. The bathroom was standard. All the food was very good. Combination of rolls, bento box, tuna tartare, gyoza. Be aware, the restaurant was actively exercising COVID-19 guidelines so the restaurant was not busy. Our server while very pleasant was extremely slow on with everything. We always get superb service. My wife gets the shimp bento and the apple martini never fail and always is pleased. Our waiters and hostess treat us like family. Been coming here since covid. I get the steak today I had the prime rib which fell off the bone. Top off with cheese cake dessert. Fabulous .

Maraschino has a well decor atmosphere. The service was attentive and I must say excellent service. The food arrived at the right time appetizers during happy hour are priced right. The drinks were delicious. Two was enough to make the day go by without feeling intoxicated. Overall 5 stars to the sushi which was fresh and very tasty. I must go if you enjoy freshness

Make sure you have good company to keep you distracted between the service. Overall, I would go again and maybe be more assertive to be serviced quicker.

Happy Hour is totally worth it! Drinks are tasty and strong, food nice portion. Five stars, but won't be ordering the calamari again, definitely had better.
