Do NOT park here if you care about your safety, wish to retain possession of your property, and don't want your car vandalised. I have had the misfortune to have to use this car park approximately every 3 weeks for the last two years (son living at adjacent student accommodation). The following ALWAYS occur (no exceptions ever): (1) Puncture risk as the entire park is littered with broken glass/nails/screws/bits of wire. (2) Huge potholes which are never repaired. (3) No CCTV. (4) No lighting. (5) No security. (6) Parking bay markings not visible as they have worn away. (7) Litter everywhere; the place is filthy. The following USUALLY occur (most times I have visited): (1) At least one vandalised/broken into vehicle; often two or three. (2) Gas canisters everywhere. (3) Suspicious people frequenting the area (drugs/alcohol etc). Manchester City Council are VERY quick to issue a penalty charge notice if you are slightly late leaving (assuming your car is even still there), and simply don't care about maintaining this park. NOT recommended if you value your safety and your possessions.

Awful. Unsafe and unsavoury characters knocking about at night. Dark with no lighting. People off their face on spice/other substances hanging about near the machines. Guys hanging in cars. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought well they aren’t out to harm me and it’s an NCP so should be fine. Came back later to find my car had been broken into and an assortment of items stolen. Bizarre items taken against what they could have......My gym supplements and shoes out of my boot went but interestingly they left my sub and car stereo.......... no thanks- won’t be parking here again. Police say there’s been a few issues here so I think it’s a hotspot. I’d give zero stars if I could. Can’t believe I had to pay to park here......

Car was broken into in the middle of the day, between 12 and 3:30pm so in broad daylight. They didn't take anything as there was nothing to take (so nothing to tempt anyone to break in), but we were left with the damage so it cost us £120 to park here. There were some bags and other items scattered nearby so other cars were possibly broken into at the same time. Reading the other reviews and judging by the fact they didn't take some change we had in the car, this was probably not a desperate person but a deliberate criminal act by someone looking for high value items. I can't believe no one is doing anything to try to sort out this ongoing situation. The least NCP could do is install CCTV! Do not park here, it's not worth it!

I wish I had read these reviews before I parked here last night (12th October). Came back to my car after a great day/night to find window smashed and a bag stolen from the boot. Nothing of value in the bag but still so annoying and upsetting to spend the end of an evening before a long drive home having to call the police to report it and now spend the morning trying to get it fixed - which is more than i can afford right now. Seems like no cctv either and although I will call NCP and Manchester City Council to complain from what I have read it will be a fruitless task. Price seems great but I wish now that had paid a few pounds more and used somewhere else. Avoid this place!!!

Avoid at all costs! Parked here from 15:30 to 18:00 on a July Saturday & 3 vehicles, including ours had been broken in to in broad daylight. No cctv. Must be proper bandits running the place too, seen as when we checked reviews it appears to have been a hotspot for vehicle vandalism/thieves for quite a few years! Go somewhere else!! SIP on New Wakefield St. is just around the corner!

Rubbish .. wouldn't ever park here again nor shop at any of these stores . Was fined for parking over the time and I was not even aware there was one . But I did my shopping and took along time at Asda .then went Argos an next doors to argos an other shops . 4 days after for got fine for it . Will go else where for shopping hate these car parks with cameras!! Money robbers

Parked car in the evening 6am came to pick it up and it was broken into. Two windows smashed, blankets, camping equipment taken, all other items cleared out too. No CCTV no cameras, no lights, unreliable and expensive car Park for the amount of damage! Two windows with fixing plus replacement of belongings will end up at £500 mark. Do not park there!

Conveniently placed, but not many options when it comes to chosing parking time. Quite expensive considering how poor quality the land is and how much of a puncture risk it could be because there is much debris strewn about the carpark potentially broken glass and other sharp objects, also there are many deep holes in the soil to navigate.

Parked for an event at the 02ritz came back from a lovely night with my Daugter to a broken passenger window broken glass everywhere all over Childs car seat so they could rob my dash cam …..had to drive miles in the freezing with a small child who was extremely upset wishing I’d checked reviews before I parked here …

AVOID. May 23. Parked for 4hrs & returned to passenger window SMASHED in, car broken into. glass all over baby seat. cheap Dash cam was stolen. Appears they’re still stealing these cams years later. I do wish I would of read previous reviews! Will never park here again! Hope this helps others NOT to risk it!

Would rather leave my car in Blackpool unlocked overnight than this **** hole. Parked here overnight thought it would be nice and easy however I returned to my car with 3 of my windows smashed up and the council still got the cheek to leave a parking ticket, scums

Often parked here, not central, but reasonable walk to various destinations on foot. Parked yesterday and what a shock, £10 just to park five hours allowing time for quick meal and a Bridgewater Hall concert finishing at 21.35. Way too expensive!

Don't know about daytime parking but not safe to park at night. We parked there to go to a concert, and the car got broken into. Apparently this is common at this car park, and the only cctv there is on the entrance and exit to make sure you pay.

Great location for just nipping into the city and avoiding 'proper' city driving. It isn't lit at night and can appear a little sketchy but I haven't had any issues. Plus £10 for 24 hours is reasonable.

You don't think it'll happen to you, until it does. Car broken into in the evening. If you decide to gamble with this car park, don't make the same mistake I did. Keep all valuables out of your car.

Went to a gig at 02 ritz. Everything out of sight yet came back to find passenger window smashed and stuff stolen. No cctv? No warning signs. Don’t use this car park it’s a thief’s paradise.

Thought what a great deal with 10 quid for 24 hrs.. Resulted in £80 damage to my window!! Never again. Beware of this car park unless you have spare money to pay for damages to your car.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Was parked there for 30 mins to go pick a friend up on Saturday night and my window was smashed and the cars built in sat nav was ripped off the dashboard.

Poorly maintained, pot holes all over carpark. Given that it's a minimum of £4 to park, it's not as though they dont have the cash to address this problem.

My car had broken into. The back window smashed and the got the only thing in my car a few pounds change, no security no cctv avoid at all costs.

Someone demolished a building, leveled off the ground and called it a car park. Then charged me £4.50 to park there for a couple of hours.

Great garage. Sells lots of things from wine! Yes wine to salad sandwiches. Toilets available and very friendly and helpful happy staff.
