I haven't had much dealing with Estate Agents, so perhaps I was underprepared, but I was astounded by the lack of service, care or consideration these ones offered. I felt like they were children wearing business suits pretending to be estate agents, who'd got bored of the game and decided they didn't need to do any work because Clapton was getting cooler and the houses would just sell themselves. The room I moved into was £500/month (in 2014) and covered in black mould, which after a day or two made me ill. Not just a little bit, but full on flu symptoms ALL THE TIME. I had a chesty cough, blocked ears and sinuses and my phlegm was dark green which shows it's infected. It was June at the time and sunny. I arranged for them to come round and take a look. Arriving 2hrs late with no phone call or apology, they looked at the mould and told me it was just condensation and not damp, even though it was wet to the touch and black and mouldy. They said I should open the window. The window was open. They left without proposing or admitting anything, and I felt like I couldn't live this way (perpetually sick) and the struggle i'd have to go through to get them to do anything wouldn't be worth it and the best thing to do was move out. When they found out I was moving out, instead of apologising for the living conditions they were supplying and profiting from, they instead threatened to throw out all the other housemates for the trouble I'd caused! I couldn't believe it, I had to write them a grovelling letter, begging them not to punish the other housemates for my 'fickleness', which was really just a necessary health measure because what they'd provided wasn't adequate. We kept my moving out a secret, and I sublet for the rest of my contract, thinking that perhaps as I was quite sensitive to mould other people would be fine. In fact, two more people moved in and out in quick succession, before that room was deemed uninhabitable (by the housemates, not Mansions). Mansions are the epitome of everything that is wrong with the housing situation in London. I think they are inept, uncaring, money pinching and nasty. I would advise anyone to steer well clear- as soon as you have a problem they could just threaten you with eviction as it's the easiest solution for them. Stay away!

I have been with Mansions for 3 years now and I had the best years there. If any issues I got help immediately and they were helpful when it came to replacing old/broken furnitures. I absolutely loved my studio flat and I was sad to leave. They were helpful through out my whole moving process as well, as I had to leave sudden. Deposit came back to me the day after I moved out and they where never into taking any money from me. I have enjoyed every single day and I would recommend them to anyone that want to live in hip East London.

I rented a property with Mansions for 7 years. Any issues with the property were dealt with immediately, my fridge broke got a new one within 2 days, my oven broke and I received a new one immediately and even when it was smaller things like my boiler etc Mebs would either send someone or come himself on the same day. My point is they are very efficient and caring and always put the tenants needs in first place. I highly recommend Mansions estates and would definitely rent from them again if i ever need to do so in the future.

I was a tenant of Mansion Estates for 2 years. Over that period of time I had a very good experience with them. From the beginning of my tenancy to the very end. They were always willing to help with all the issues I had quickly and effectively. They were prompt with responses, easy to reach, always friendly and with a good communication manner. All the team in there is also laid back as far as their professionalism let them so. I would always remember my experience of being Mansion Estates tenant with a big sentiment :)

Truly terrible landlords. I've lived in London for five years and these are by far the laziest landlords I've had to contend with. It took them over six months to fix our flooding flat, and that was with constant pressure from our side. When we moved out last month they did zero maintenance before moving the next tenants in, despite it desperately needing it. If you are able to, I would definitely find a property managed by someone else.

I recently found myself back with Mansions after renting a property from them around 5 years ago. I was really pleasantly surprised they remembered me and was still as efficient and friendly as ever. No hidden fees or charges, Mansions is one of the rare agents out there that are not cashing in on the rental market crisis right now. Honestly, I'd remain with them for the whole time I am in London if I could! Thank you, Mansions!

I rented a property from mansions from 2016-2017 and I did encounter a number of problems with the property, such as the fridge and cooker being faulty. Once notified I felt they delt with the issues well and quickly and was always very polite and helpful. I would rent from mansions again in the future and only chose to go elsewhere as the rent were I was went up.

The worst estate agent I have encountered in London. Responded poorly to complains of mould in the property, which resulted in one of the tenants falling ill. When we identified a leak and asked for action to be taken, they cut corners and the ceiling collapsed due to the leak. Totally awful and unduly arrogant. Do not usem

Everyone at Mansions were very responsive and polite. I rented through them for over 2 years and never felt like we were being taken advantage of, as with previous agencies. Whenever there were issues with the house they were helpful and got things fixed quickly and I got my full deposit back at the end - would recommend.

The agent I spoke to didn’t have any of the normal information I was asking for, such as a floor plan and become defensive and rude very quickly on the phone. She also asked me very odd questions about my house search. These questions were irrelevant and disrespectful. I will not be using this agency to find a property.

We really loved being tenants with these guys. Louisa is a super star and if ever we had a problem She would help us to get things sorted. Her communication was clean and professional. Sometimes agencies feel so abrupt and formal in London but these guys have a family vibe going on that really resonated with us.

Highly recommend Mansions, in the two years I rented through them, they have been courteous, attentive, flexible, understanding and always professional.
