Don’t go here, there are plenty of other bars to go with better ethics. The owner is extremely rude to certain staff members and over friendly to others. This is not the way to run a successful bar! We have been going to Marcel’s for about a year now and really enjoyed one of the bar ladies called “ Kat”. She was friendly, she knew exactly what each person wanted and she just kept things going. Apparently the owner prefers giggly, Whiney lap girls above someone who does her job without lowering her morals. This bar is not what it used to be. Kat tried to pull it up after the new owner took over but unfortunately all her efforts were pointless. If you want a boring place to hang out where food is offered uncooked and half cold and where newly trained bar tenders are half asleep then go here. We will follow Kat or find somewhere else to go!

I was pleasantly surprised by this super quaint hole in the wall amazing bar! It was karaoke Thursday, and some of the singers were absolutely lights out! Tremendous talent, and very low key. The drink was okay, it was definitely worth going in, and I kind of think this is a hidden gem. If you want a very low key experience, and listen to some really great karaoke, or even participate yourself, this is a great place to do it! The bartender was super friendly, we weren't really drinking a whole lot, but she still made an effort to check in with us! Way to go! Definitely want to keep this on my short list to be back when I am drinking a little bit more

I've been coming to Marcel's regularly for a few years now. It is such a friendly, welcoming place with excellent staff! I've almost never had to flag someone down for drinks/refills (only ever when it's VERY busy, which is absolutely understandable). In fact, it's too the point that the bartenders know me and my drink of choice, and have it on the table for me within a few minutes of walking in the door (this might mean I have a drinking problem, but oh well!) I've only had a few appetizers, but they are unique offerings that are delicious. Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays is a blast. This is my friendly neighborhood bar of choice, and I know I'll be coming here every Friday for years to come.

Not a bad spot a bit of a hole in the wall bar which in and of itself isn't a bad thing I just wish little bars like this didn't force there patrons to endure karaoke pretty much everyday of the week. I'd frequent this place a lot more if I didn't have to be subjected to drunk people butchering songs I love every time I walked through the door. The service is good and the staff is polite and courteous if it weren't for so much karaoke I'd go here a lot more. It's a shame because as a local bar I'd really like to to go here more and if your one of those people that love to sing and don't mind listening to others then this place might be right up your alley.

We went to this place because of their karaoke bar and we felt like we were treated differently from the host that was doing karaoke. When it came to our turn to sing somehow he didn't see a name and would skip the song. We ordered two rounds of drinks for 4 people. I don't know how they determine the sizes but 1st round we got our drinks in small plastic cups and it was one price and the second round was in tall glass cups and was a different price. We asked but was given a response just that we had to pay. We only got a second drink as we waited for our friends to head to our next destination.

One of my favorite local bars. Lived in the area for years and it's always been a great place to relax, grab a drink, and watch a game. Shannon is THE BEST. Karaoke lately with Layne and Shannon has been one of my favorite things. Enough to get me to sing for the first time ever. Definitely a great spot to check out if you're in the area

Don’t expect a cocktail at this bar. When I ordered an old-fashioned they said they didn’t have any cherries or oranges to make it. When I asked for a margarita they said they don’t make those. When I asked for a martini they didn’t know how to make one. So if all you want is beer or straight up alcohol neat, this way a great bar for you. But if you’re like me and you don’t drink beer not so great. They literally told me that that was a dive bar and they don’t know how to make cocktails. OK now I know. Was not the most friendly place either.

Marcel's has always been a favorite of mine, I'm finally getting around to writing this review. From the time I lived across the street to moving all the way to Peoria and coming out for karaoke, this bar has been the best! Everyone is extremely friendly and amazing here. Definitely a great place to grab a drink, but don't forget to look at their menu too! There are some real hidden gems and everything I've eaten has been absolutely amazing!

Eh what can I say? It's a dive bar. Normal dive bar drama happens. The bartenders are a bit slow for how not busy it is in there. They seem to pay way more attention to the regulars than anyone new so it can be hard to get their attention. The karaoke is extremely loud but there are a LOT of really great singers. It was my first time there on Saturday, didn't try the food but may go back again just to review that.

This is one of the best bars I have ever gone to. The service is AMAZING, and the karaoke is hott!!!! I am so sad that I am moving across town and won't be able to frequent this wonderful place as much as I do. The best way to describe this place is CHEERS! Its like going to a friends party every time you go. IF you don't know anyone that's fine you will feel like family before you leave.

Sweet gal behind the bar! Made a damn good margarita! There is a pool table. And music and jukebox. An old school lottery machine.

This is a fantastic little sports bar, that I had no idea existed. You get the neighborhood bar feel, when you come through the door. Bartender makes you feel comfortable right away. There are Big Screens to watch the games, which I'm going to watch this week. The food there is delicious, and the drink prices pretty cheap.

To many bars to choose from. This is definitely NOT the place to go for evening fun! Rude and condescending evening bartenders. Ya, I get it. If you’re having a bad day maybe call in sick! Daytime bartenders are great! Just leave before 6pm!!

I had a blast. I'm pretty sure there's nothing that really sets this bar apart from other karaoke bars. But the local patreons are great and make for a fun Saturday night. If you are in the area and looking for some fun on a Saturday night you couldn't go wrong with this place.

Liked this place till they decided to restrict some of my people from there without one reason as too why. The patrons that go there are for the most part are great company. But the owner of this place is a narrow minded human. Bar standards is a no, company within is a yes.

Not a fan. Annoyed that postmates says I can order from them after 10am, but when I stopped in they told me the grill doesn't get turned on until 3pm. The Dr. Pepper tasted very strange. Ordered the combo platter. For frozen and fried junk food it was pretty average.

I've been past Marcel's for countless times and decided to stop in last night for the first time. It is your typical neighborhood bar with tons of tvs, pool table, and what were likely regulars. Beer price was fine and people were friendly so give it a try.

It’s too bad there 2 bartenders that have no idea they’re at work. With soooo many choices around, you’d think they’d be more excited for the business they do have. Really great place and I feel sad we couldn’t get service. Used to really LOVE this bar!!

They only know how to make drinks that come out of the most basic alcohol cookbook. Karaoke is super fun here and the people are super nice.

True story: I met this nice, old man at another Karaoke Night in some other bar, right? He asks me if I’ve ever been to Marcel’s before. I tell him no, but that I’ve driven by it many times. He informs me that they ALSO have Karaoke Nights.

Went on a Friday night and honestly just expected better. We tried a couple appetizers that were pretty good. The chicken quesadilla was decent. Prices were reasonable. Service was just so-so, but it seemed like the regulars were being well

Shannon is a great bartender, they have good food and ice cold beer. Thursday- Sunday they have karaoke and some of the most talented singers I've heard. Reasonable prices, great atmosphere and a well kept pool table. More

It's a nice very laid-back environment. Actually went there because I have an old friend that is a bartender there and she's awesome! Haven't seen her in years but would definitely return again to this establishment.
