I first came to Marion Physiotherapy almost a year ago and I feel like I have been part of the family ever since. After suffering with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue for as long as I can remember--and constantly being met with comments that either discredited my experiences or implied that I should suffer silently--I am so glad that I met the team at Marion Physio. I feel supported both physically and psychologically; I have tools to deal with flare-ups, information to know what is happening when I feel pain, and have been able to watch myself gain function and energy to do things that I would have never dreamed of accomplishing. Marion Physio's "Pain Group" intensive absolutely changed my life. The multi-disciplinary/holistic approach means that you are able to both learn about, and put into practice strategies which consider, the fact that pain and fatigue are part of complex systems that include physiological functioning, mental health, sleep, diet, and even context and social environment. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone suffering from persistent pain and/or fatigue. I am currently in the middle of a PhD and one of the most terrifying things to me was, not the 80,000 word thesis, but the fear that I would have to pull myself through excruciating pain and not be able to enjoy the journey. I am now studying more effectively, preserving energy for activities like tutoring and conferences, actually attending social events (what? Celine? The notorious recluse??) and am learning to actively rest and recover (something my perfectionist tendencies previously racked me with guilt for doing). The practical skills that Pain Group has taught me, like pacing and task modification, have absolutely changed the way I approach living with pain. I have gone from debilitating migraines once a week and fibro flare-ups every day, to something like a third of the frequency and intensity. I am just about to begin the pilates class that Marion Physio offers--something I would never have dreamed of doing even a few months ago! Right from the reception desk to the consulting room, you feel safe and supported. I have never experienced such a thoughtfully and effectively curated team of professionals. Although I personally have worked with Jess, Julie and Ivan the most, I can see that there is no room for mediocrity within the walls of Marion Physio. It is everyone's personal mission to help you get the most out of your experience. Sure, I am still in pain. Every day. Every second. But I am no longer afraid. I am no longer using the pain as a way of punishing myself. I am no longer deferring my life. I am no longer a stranger in my own body. Sure, I am living with pain: but I am no longer defined by it.

If you have long term chronic pain, or even an injury, this is THE one stop physio! Not just a Physio!!! These Physiotherapists are all trained to listen, hear you, validate your pain and then get to the heart of your pain. They then work with you and guide you through a workable plan to help you improve your pain, step by step, goal by goal. They work with you to help you see the whole picture as to why you're in pain. They look from a holistic point of view to work on your pain/injury. I found this physio after a full on week or so of hardcore migraines. I was in complete despair, had to give up work due to all my pain. I couldn't sleep, I was totally lost. I'd seen Physiotherapists before and didn't expect much from past experiences. After just a few visits and myofascial massages too I was migraine free and have only had one or two since. I have hypermobile joints and I'm always going to have pain of some sort, but my pain is now manageable and I'm getting constant support from their team to help lessen my pain. I've been suffering from chronic pain for most of my life. I've tried other physios, chiropractic, specialists, GPs, Rheumatologists and nobody has helped me UNDERSTAND my pain, given me so many "tools" I can use to avoid MORE pain and lessen my pain! Julie and her team actually really care about each and every patient they see. The receptionists are very knowledgeable and more than willing to help in any way they can too! All staff are warm, caring and so very helpful. Since attending this physio my life and lifestyle has literally gone through a 360° change. My pain is much easier to deal with and my analgesic use is now minimal. I now look forward to daily life, I'm back at work part time and life no longer has a big black cloud hanging over my head. If only every other medical centre could be so keen, helpful and knowledgeable! Thanks to Julie, Josh, Jess and the rest of the team! I have my life back on track! Give them a ring, it may just change your life too!

I have suffered with Depression and PTSD for the last 30years. I have never been offered anything but medication, which I have dutifully taken. I felt I was managing. 4 years ago I was a passenger in a car accident, and had a severe whiplash injury which set me back. I was in constant pain, which in turn made my depression worse. I was referred to Marion Physiotherapy by my doctor, who said Julie was very good with my type of injury. I had to wait a long time to get in to see her, but it has certainly been worth it. My husband, who has constant back and knee pain, and myself enrolled in the 8 week course, which we have just completed. This course is a group course and the other participants are in all different situations with pain, but getting to know them and hearing their stories was wonderful. We actually became very bonded over the 8 weeks. The approach focuses on how we deal with pain, our reactions to it, and how we can avoid feeling so much pain. It focuses on the relationship of pain, spinal cord and brain. It is not hocus pocus but information that makes a lot of sense once you learn how to read it. It is scientifically based on fact and requires no drugs. The phycologist, Ivan, is amazing. He gets into your inner feelings about your pain without making you feel like you are a nutter. The other 3 physios who help you through the exercise programme are also very well trained, friendly and great to work with. I think this course is the best thing I have done in many years and I feel so much better for having done it. I feel very lucky to have been able to be introduced to this course.

Fantastic service here. I've been a customer since 2012 as I heard about it through my uni - for a nasty sports injury that left me unable to stand or walk for more than 5min. I've been to see a physio on about 3 separate occasions (shout out to Jon- great with sports injuries) and had an amazing massage from Lyndal. I've sent my partner here for shoulder tightness and mum here for massage. Everyone's been happy with them! I went back last week for a minor muscle tightness on one side and Nicola was very thorough with her questions and exercises to fix the problem. I even got a phone call the next day to see how I was holding up! They've been great with scheduling appointments that suit me too.

Thanks to Jonathan Schubert. He has an extensive knowledge and does his best for the resolution of the problem. We should be able to digest that in one session for the chronic problem that may not be able to be cured . However, I appreciate the effort and extensive knowledge and experience, he has got in his hands to provide the best possible treatment and solution to ease the pain. Thank you very much Jonathan schubert!

If you suffer from chronic pain, I highly recommend taking part in the pain course run by Julie, Ivan and the team at Marion Physiotherapy. Of everything that I have tried and tested to treat my chronic pain conditions, this pain course has been the most valuable. It's not a magic bullet but I came out with a much better understanding of what is happening in my body when pain is present and tools to help manage it.

I used to visit the physio very infrequently, until I was introduced to Jonathon Schubert at Marion Physiotherapy. Always gets my body back in tip top shape. Occasionally Jonathan is booked out, so I visit the many other great physiotherapists they have to offer. Tessa is a stand out in this regard. Front desk is always helpful and friendly. Keep up the great work everyone.

This has been my go to physio for a number of years for many reasons. The service is always top notch and treatment is better than any clinic I’ve been to. The physiotherapists genuinely seem to care and the balance of ensuring you are ok and not trying to just keep you coming back is perfect

Marion physiotherapist approach to my chronic back pain was professional, effective & holistic. The pain management course really assisted me to understand the pain & how to manage it. I had been to other physiotherapists with minimal effect. Thank you to Julie & her team.
