Very very bad experience. We went inside for purchasing a small towel for wrapping around an idol for worship, on Sunday 16th July 2023. This cloth was covered in a plastic sheet. We wanted to see the dimensions of the cloth, and when tried to take the cloth out of the plastic wrap, we were rudely told by the staff to place the cloth inside and that we should not open the plastic cover. When we asked them to open and show it to us, they declined. When we asked for refund, if the size does not fit the idol, we were simply said "Its your problem". We were also looking for bangles, which we were told that only 2 kids size bangles were available, but when we trodded inside, we could see an entire row of bangles were available, especially for adults. None of the staff were helpful and responsive, and finally when we came for payment, we saw the notice that card payment starts only from 10 GBP and above. Total ripoff. Judging by the past responses to reviews shared by the owner, looks like this has been a regular case throughout

I absolutely love this shop and would highly recommend this place to anyone for all occasions - weddings, festivals, every day life - they sell everything you might need whether it’s garlands to decorate your home or items for a puja. The layout of the shop is beautiful and the decor is a treat for the eyes. coming to this shop really feels like it’s a festival everyday and the staff are always so lovely, warm friendly and helpful. Never want to go there again as lady on the till was so rude, I went their with baby on pushchair and she denied me to go inside with buggy and told me that we don’t have any space to put your buggy so unfortunately you can’t come inside, while other customers support me to go inside and buy the stuff she was being rude with other customers as well. VERY HORRIBLE, NEVER SEEN THIS TYPE OF COSTUMER SERVICE IN UK.

I love going to Maroo store. I have been going there for the past 12 years. I was pleased to see shop has expanded and looks great. Owner is very nice person I feel good shopping there. I pretty much buy anything for kitchen puja utensils items from there and prices are reasonable too. If anyone needs indian cooking utensils or puja items feel free to go there I am sure you will be pleased. Happy shopping. N

The product range and pricing is great! I have always enjoyed going to shop here, there is a huge variety of things you can get and the prices are great. I have things still in great condition almost after 6yrs of using them. I do not fault their customer services. They have always provided great customer services whenever I have gone and would recommend the shop for any of your household needs.

I went to Maroo to buy all the materials needed for my wedding puja ceremony. I came with a long list of things to buy, many of which I wasn’t sure about as I had been given the list by my priest. The staff at Maroo found all the things on my list and helped me choose what I needed for my ceremony - I got everything from one place for a reasonable price and it saved me so much time! Thank you!

Really cheap and rubbish cutlery with no recall to refund or even exchanging for other sensible wares. Once you pay at the till you can say goodbye to any consumer rights you might expect. Really shody customer service, made me feel they were doing me a favor for asking for an exchange for something smaller as replacement for my purchase. Suffice to say will never be shopping here again.

Brought my Mum and Aunt to this shop, what can I say. Catered for everything from quality pans to homeware. Managed to get lots of gifts for various members of family. The staff were really patient and helpful. The manager even went out and got a cup of tea for them, lovely touch. Throughly recommended

I have to say customer service has always been great, lovely items great silver and iv bought many things from here, big and small I am a regular and it's one one of my favourite shops for kichen items and different smelling things, great choice of silver aswell, highly recommended this place.

I called them to findout about a coffee filter. They took time to check and replied on phone. When I went there that evening it was ready for me. Very reasonable prices but very good quality in the area. We bought all stuff for our home. Will come to buy for our new home as well. 5 stars

Staff are always lovely and friendly. We have shopped here for years - great prices and a wide range of stock. I bought mehndi cones from here - fantastic stains and made with natural ingredients. My go-to mehndi cones to use. Will definitely be purchasing them again. Highly recommend.
