5 star estate agent with TR the shining example of what an estate agent should be. After being utterly and completely let down and financially ruined by Entwistle Green/Countrywide rental estate agents and their catastrophically terrible service, my faith as a landlord was destroyed. I decided that letting the house go was the best option. I looked for a family run establishment and came across Marshalls on Smithdown Road. TR was the first person I spoke to. I explained the situation and what happened to me. I was worried and anxious about working with another estate agent because of my prior experience. Tracey was sympathetic and understood quickly what had happened. She explained the sales process efficiently and understandably. She gave me a competitive price. She gave good advice on how to best present the house and refurbishment ideas. For the more difficult tasks I couldn’t do myself she was able to point me to some very reasonably priced local contractors including a great landscaper and carpet fitter. I really appreciated her using her own contacts as I am not from the area. She went over and above to help me. The house is now pristine throughout with fresh paint and carpets and a lovely newly turfed lawn and garden. It’s now ready for sale and I am looking forward to seeing how things pan out. We flagged potential water damage issues before signing a contract on a rental property, and Marshall confirmed via email that the property had recently been inspected and nothing was found. With that information, we signed the lease and moved into our new property. We spent £235 in application/credit check fees, and £140 in moving costs. 3 days after moving in, extensive damp was found in both exterior (structural - illegal) and interior walls by a Marshall maintenance person. Damp that got progressively worse over the course of the 45 days it took to schedule someone to fix the issue because they couldn't sort it out with the landlord. We asked to terminate the contract, and Marshall & the landlord graciously accepted. When asked if they would compensate us for application fees and moving costs since they misled us before we signed the contract, they not-so-graciously declined. So now we're out £375 + fees and moving costs for our next letting, in addition to £750/month in rent, for 2 months of toxicity. But at least they agreed to let us leave.

Without doubt the best Estate Agents I have ever dealt with ! I had a property in Liverpool which was on a lease deal and when the lease had expired the property was left back to me in a situation whereby it was practically unsellable. Marshalls listened to my concerns, the situation and dealt with all the issues, guided me in the right direction, answered calls and emails promptly and with politeness and always understanding . I asked lots of questions and had loads of problems (way too much to put on here), but nothing was a problem for this team. They went above and beyond the call of duty and I will be eternally grateful .I have to say without their advice and help myself and my family would be in one hell of a predicament right now, these guys deserve so much credit Special thanks to Toby, (I know I plagued you ). I recently completed on a house through Marshall’s following months of looking for a property. I have used several local estate agents and I can say that Marshall’s were by FAR the most professional and friendly agents from my experience. Due to the high demand in sales etc since the rise in stamp duty, I have been surprised that estate agents don’t seem bothered in selling the house on viewings. However Marshall’s were totally different. They offered covid safe viewings, one person in at a time (not those stupid group viewings) and the member of staff from Marshall took time to show me around, selling the house to me. They have been so friendly and professional with regards to setting completion dates, and have kept me up to date with any changes/updates. I would highly recommend Marshall’s, definitely the best around the Liverpool area. Thank you all

Called them up this morning after missing a call from Moira last night at around 6pm. Started off friendly enough until we actually were passed through to Moira, who was aggressive and rude from the start. Moira said that if we didn't view the property today at 2pm (when we had University) then it would be taken by someone else due to another viewing at the same time. Moving on from this, we pressed further as we liked the property in question, asking if we could do another time. Moira named a time on Friday that again, we couldn't make because only one person wasn't preoccupied with University. When we said no, Moira immediately replied with 'Okay, bye then' and hung up. Incredibly unprofessional and rude, sure its not reflective of the company but there is no need for an employee to be so rude and aggressive for no real reason.

This company appear to have deleted my negative review of their city office. This is one of the worst and least professional firms I've even borne witness to, let alone had the total misfortune of having to try and work with. Litany of issues with the property we're renting, issues that haven't been fixed after months, as well as embarrassing communication issues between staff leading to our having to repeat ourselves endlessly and act as a go-between for staff that appear not to talk with one another about work. I'll not repeat my previous review in the hopes that the disingenuous manager of the city office is made to make it visible by the owner of the company, who I only pray cares more about us than his ambivalent employees.

I recently put my home up for rent and Marshall are managing this. It has been such an easy process from start to finish. All employees I have met have been so professional and very welcoming, making the whole experience so relaxed. They have kept me updated throughout the process and never missed a detail. I went through them to book an electricity certificate which was responsibly priced and they used reliable people to conduct the work. I had an issue regarding a help to buy loan attached to my mortgage which I was repaying and they helped me so much with this, referring me to a company that could help. All in all Marshall is a great company and am very happy with them.

Rented me a place with severe damp in one of the bedrooms (covered with paint to hide). No smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. No fridge/washing machine as advertised, nor garden access. Bathroom taps were running and can’t be turned off. Multiple attempts of contact and they’ve failed to help resolve-and simply told me to contact a maintenance agency that have also failed to reply or resolve. Legal guidance suggests that the letting agent should assist, but they’ve washed their hands of the issue.I’ve found them untrustworthy as a letting agent, and because of my destroyed trust, would not use them again.

We used Marshall to sell our property - Adam took over our property after us previously having to take it off the market - within a couple of days he had many viewings lined up and within the same week he took over had 2 offers on the table - one of which we accepted and has just been completed. Adam kept us in the loop ALL of the time, was super friendly and nothing was too much of an ask. He really kept on top of things very well and was ahead of the game throughout the process. Super happy with our service and would totally use them again if the situation arose.

From start to finish the service we received was fantastic, we was constantly kept updated throughout the sale by Caroline who was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. It’s not very often we say this, but we had 100% confidence in Marshalls from the moment Sarah came round to do the valuation and continued with Caroline. Well done to Marshalls. My friends still waiting for her deposit to get given back to her after moving out over a year ago. Multiple times they have been contacted and the same story everytime that they will contact us back. Property was rented out not even 3 weeks after she moved out. This was james street garston. Every time contact has been made false promises are being made by the staff to phone back or email but nothing but silence. This is over a year which the legal length a renting agency can hold for is 21 days Think we have past that now.

It’s been a very positive experience dealing with Marshalls in the renting out of two properties. All of the staff at Marshalls are professional, polite, helpful and friendly which makes the process much easier. The webpage marketing the properties was very well designed and implemented, I know that the tenants also valued the quality of the website and the helpfulness of Marshall’s staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marshalls to any landlord or tenant.
