First off, we used to love coming to this place. The food was always hot; the portions were always big. For the last few months or so, however, the portions have been very tiny and the breading on my chicken tenders has been falling off. It’s not just a little bit, but the tenders are so bare that the oil has been frying to chicken meat directly. On several occasions, they also have forgotten the coleslaw. For what things cost nowadays, we feel we are being ripped off. What’s most disappointing is that this location used to do a good job. Now, it seems like the staff has not been trained properly. This cheapens the experience greatly. We are debating not coming back. We’ve even ordered less frequently lately hoping that coming back, we’d get better food and that maybe the previous times were unfortunate one-offs, but the quality (and quantity) has only continued to decline. You need to do better.

Decent food. Mediocre service. I got the spicy big mary sandwich, potato wedges, and crispy chicken twists. The potato wedges were okay, nothing special; Loblaws’ wedges are definitely more seasoned. The spicy big mary was spicier than anticipated. For reference, it was at least 2x spicier than the Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich. Chicken was crispy and flavourful though! After I ate that burger my mouth was uncomfortable for another 3 minutes, but that might have been because I also drank Pepsi. Service wise, I know this is a fast food place but the server rushed our order and forgot the ranch that went with the chicken twists. I wouldn’t normally write about a sauce but without it the twists were flavourless. He also forgot the napkins. It wasn’t busy when I went but it felt like he was rushing to complete our order so he could get to the next one. I’m sure fast food places can be efficient without compromising service quality.

I popped by to take advantage of the Big Mary Monday chicken sandwich. Overall taste was okay but the sandwich definitely gave me KFC Big Crunch vibes. The sandwich comes in three styles but the deal is only available in two (Spicy or Regular). I asked why the third option (Buffalo) wasn’t available on the specials and they said it takes to long to prep. It’s a shame because I asked for Buffalo sauce on the side and it added a whole new experience to the sandwich. Overall the service was great and quick, However I just don’t know where this chicken sandwich ranks amongst its competitors in the chicken sandwich war. Will revisit one more time before deciding.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW 11/03/2023 So sadly this location is slipping, while the staff is great, the food quality has taken a nose dive. Big Mary's coming with frozen Sysco style patties rather then the hand breaded beasts I was use to, Their chicken tender size the last two times my coworker ordered were also nuggets, not tenders. (about the size of a ketchup packet) So, until they get their food back on track, this Mary's Brown gets the thumb down.

Very hungry. Been to Mary Brown as I heard they don’t use the frozen Chicken unlike other restaurants like McD, Subway etc Ordered spicy BigMary sandwich, it’s not too spicy. It has a deep fried chicken in between with some regular cheese layer. I don’t think they have any non deep fried chicken options. Taste was good and but felt little pricy. Then I noticed this interesting offer…on Monday’s big Mary Brown Sandwich is almost half priced. Otherwise it’ll cost you around 10 buck just for regular size sandwich

Decided to try. Ordered curb side pickup one and a half hours early because I was ordering for a party. Prepaid. Went to pickup. They could not find the order. Then they found it. They only started making it after it was supposed to be ready for pickup. No apology. No discount. No curbside pickup. Service was terrible. Go to KFC instead for the better service.

First time trying Mary Brown's and left extremely satisfied. I thought Popeye's was king, but I do like their spices used in Mary Brown's chicken. I purchased the Spicy Big Mary and the Chicken Pop-Ins and the Wedge Poutine. Wow. I think I have to throw Mary Brown's into the restaurant rotation. MB came highly recommended from a couple friends and it did not disappoint. Thanks for the delicious experience.

Quite tasty food and good deal, I had 6 pieces of chicken with fries and biscuits for 22$ which easily fed my Girlfriend and I with some leftover chicken for later.

Ordered two regular Big Mary’s and when we opened them one was spicy. They seemed a little panicked busy, as there was probably 8 of us waiting for food. Also the receipt says see back for details which I assume is the feedback section however it is blank. Will likely be back at some point as I like the food but really disappointing drive in this time Drove back and they fixed it. Food was great as usual

Ordered via Skip the Dishes (and they were a hole different issue). Chicken sandwiches were good, taters were good. The waffle fries HORRIBLE, undercooked and dripping with oil. It was like they were put in the fryer that was not hot enough for 2 minutes. Had to put them in my Air fryer for 20 min so that they would be edible and still had oil pouring off of them.

Customer service is awesome!! We have been served by the same lady several times and she was always friendly and polite. I actually even saw her send back my fries due to not being hot enough. Great prices we always get the 2 for 20 sandwiches. Great chicken beats any other fast food chicken businesses out there.

Got a spicy and original Big Mary for $3.99 on Monday. It's great value and the sandwiches came out hot and fresh. The spicy one has some heat to it!! Crispy and tender white meat, bites of briney pickles, creamy sauce, and soft sesame bun. Better than a lot of fast food chicken sandos. The cashier was also lovely and social distancing measures were in place.

I always do take out. The place gets too busy with customers picking up their orders that don't make the tables comfortable to sit at. The potato wedges are not very flavourful. You need the gravy to give them flavour.

I heard about the opening of this new Mary Brown’s so we dove over and give it a try. It’s Sunday noon time and there’s no line up. The server is pleasant and she knows what she’s doing. There are coupons on the counter so be sure you use them. The chicken is delicious crispy and hot as usual. The wedges are really good not too salty. 5 stars.

So i guess youre using nuggets as chicken strips now lmao? Absolutely ridiculous, imagine thinking this, fries, and a drink was worth $13 plus tax? What a joke. Not interested in going back to taken advantage of

Delicious and amazing quality. Customer service was great. Ordered on the app and food was ready when I arrived. There was a bit too much seasoning on the spicy chicken so probably will just order regular next time. Can’t even compare it to the disgusting Popeyes near Costco. This is definitely the place to go for fried chicken in Barrhaven!

Always fresh and hot when ordered in store. Kinda small room however and the mural on the wall seems stretched horizontally.

Friendly staff and quick service. Just what you'd expect of May Brown's! The food is always fresh and crisp, and the staff is always friendly. I love the fact that they even bring the food to your table if you're waiting. A true Canadian establishment!

Order 6 chicken burgers and 6 piece. the Buffalo Chicken sandwiches where so soggy and couldn't even eat them. Other 4 burgers where ok but barely any sauce. 6 piece was under cooked and I order regular not spicy. Not overly impressed with quantity

Have been going there since they opened and it's been good service all the time. There is a south asian girl, probably the manager, her service is shoddy but they rest of team is superb. I only get spicy all the time but the spice is not enough.

My order was messed up 2 weeks in a row. Ordered Spicy Big Mary Combo and got a regular Big Mary Combo. Paid fore Pickle chips and Chicken twists but only the Twists were in the bag (no pickle chips). Hopefully the service will improve.

I absolutely love their chicken tenders, so juicy and flavorful! The spicy big Mary hits all the notes, its spice done right. I recently tried the new twist which is definitely what I'm going back for! Overall, my fave new chicken spot.

Food is good and if you use their phone application, there would be some deals available. There are some rooms available to improve the neatness of the restaurant. Must go and try.

This has been our go to chicken place after KFC started to be less than satisfactory. We tried the spicy chicken this time and it was great. Just enough spice to have heat and still be very enjoyable.

Our Family meal came with a huge clump of hair in it and they gave us a hard time when we asked for a replacement. The so called manager was completely unapologetic and seemed annoyed.

Just had Nashville Mary sandwich at 11am. It’s key that it’s fresh so when I try new chicken sandwiches. This was excellent. I will go back for more in the future.
