"Excelsior! 1"
"I like the library but the layout looks complicated"
"The library is fine, the problem is the staff"
"It is such a small library for such a rich area; but I guess I should be grateful there is a library here at all; anyway, just make sure you check whether the book you are after is in stock and you should be fine; however, it doesn't seem to have a lot of desks and computers"
"Considering where it was based before, just off the Marylebone Road in a much larger space, it packs in a fine collection of books and the ground floor has kids activities for todlers"
Excelsior! 1. Layout easily navigable; 2. Well lit and the slightly warmer cubicle lighting prevents glare burn outs; 3. Decent opening hours - Mn, Tue, Thur, Fri - 9.30am-8pm, Wed-10am-8pm, Sat-9.30pm-5pm, Sun 1.30pm-5pm. 4. Library could always be arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification System (LC) or Dewey Decimal Classification System. Suggestions for improvements: 1. Water closed (WC) - there is only one upstairs which is for use by the differently abled library users. A second or third downstairs could always help ease the pressure. And attract more recruits. 2. Floor boards upstairs can sound a little horse trotty-like but then again that’s just aesthetics and semantics!
I like the library but the layout looks complicated. It's like going in a zigzag way. There are books downstairs but at times it is forgettable. The added layer of computers and narrow corners makes it small. There is a children's area you notice as you come in through the door and a place to sit including use of a toilet. I don't know if it's for people generally or just for children or the disabled. But the library always have the latest best sellers and staff helpful when needed.
The library is fine, the problem is the staff... They put a sign on the toilet door saying that it's out of order... well: it's not. Both me and others used it with no problems at all, opening the door with our Radar keys. The toilets are absolutely fine, but probably the staff is just too lazy and they don't want to clean it.
It is such a small library for such a rich area; but I guess I should be grateful there is a library here at all; anyway, just make sure you check whether the book you are after is in stock and you should be fine; however, it doesn't seem to have a lot of desks and computers.
Considering where it was based before, just off the Marylebone Road in a much larger space, it packs in a fine collection of books and the ground floor has kids activities for todlers. It has IT facilities and a helpful bunch of staff.
Just ridiculous! Was there for 30mins to print A3 and then told printer doesn’t print A3, after I’ve paid! Website also says that the library can print A3, obviously not! Rubbish customer service
Iove going to the library and am looking forward to when it goes to its new premises. Because the tiny place it's housed now is trying my patience. Love the library hate the building.
The library is nice, however the gentleman staffer at the front is one of the rudest and most condescending persons I have had the misfortune of interacting with.
will not go there as no toilet for use. I did go there and they did let me use their toilet which you must ask key for So top marks and I was too quick too judge
Now moved to New Cavendish St. Self service kiosks not working yet but staff are helpful. Nice bright modern decor. Will be here for 2 years.
Tiny library and no public toilet!!! Apparently only open to mothers with children. So without a child sadly no toilet for us!!! Ridiculous.
Terrible service! Very rude and unhelpful staff! If you ask something they won’t help! Go to another library if you can!!
Hidden gem in Marylebone great for quiet weekend mornings be prepared for the student rush about midday though
A good selection of books and quiet reading tables. Perfect getaway from the city of London hustle and bustle
My favourite library I thought it was closed and they thought I was dead !! Havnt been there for a year !!
Well organised and clear signage for covid. Saw regular cleaning of touch screens and door handles.
Use the toilet and be handed a gingerbread man cutter for the extra tampons inside …
Small but very useful learning for children and information and fiction for adults
It's a safe place to go. Not crowded and track and trace in place.
I often spend my free time here, a nice spot.
Excellent selection of recent travel guides
Helpful staff and excellent resource bank.
