I m not here to rate the masjid but I hope the Imam or whosoever responsible for the affairs of the masjid read this: I called the masjid on Tuesday 2 times no answer ,on Wednesday no answer on Thursday no answer on Friday morning no answer I wanted to ask the time of the Jumuaa prayers and if there is any restrictions about Covid ,face mask .... well no answer on the phone . I was staying in Petropolis wich is a city about 1 hour and half from Rio and about 2 hours and so from the masjid driving but I wanted to pray Jumuaa even if it was 2 hours drive so Friday I went there at noontime for prayers at the entrance one brother had note book with names and he asked me if I was registered I told him no I m a tourist I m here only for couple days . so he said I cant let you in because you are not registered so I explained to him and showed him in my cell how many times I ve been calling the masjid exactly so I dont have this problem. then the imam came and asked me if I was vaccinated I told him no . he said we cant let you in . the rule to travel to brazil is you have to be tested before you travel, they dont require vaccines yet . But the rule in the masjid is different I understand. But at least they have to put it in the website or the voice mail of the masjid so poeple that dont live in rio take notes and either dont come if they are not vaccinated or go to a different masjid.

21 April 2017 Quaint little mosque not far from the Maracana Stadium. Rio does not have a big Muslim community so finding this place of worship for our Jumua Salaah (Friday prayers) was refreshing, especially because it had facilities for ladies. Friendly faces, smiles all around and a welcoming atmosphere. Quraan reading started at about 12h20 on Friday. Ghutbah started at 12h45. May Allah bless this Islamic community to grow, expand and make them of the ummah of Mughammad SAW. AMEEN!!! The bonus...halaal food for sale after Jumua, our first halaal meat in Rio. Algamdulilah!

Dou mil estrelas!!! Estou super ansiosa para conhecer esse lugar lindo! Pra dizer a verdade, nunca fui numa Mesquita mas, sou leitora assídua do Alcorão. Frequentei Igrejas evangélicas a anos e nunca consegui me encontrar espiritualmente nelas. Tenho um fascínio pelo Islã, depois que comecei a ler o Alcorão então, aff! Vejo tanta luz no Islã nossa! Eu amo aqui. I LOVE HERE GOOD FOR KNOWING OTHER MUSLIMS TOO, many Muslims here it is just awesome and brotherhood, you can see blacks and whites hug each other and this is the beautify of Islam. O lugar é incrível, de paz e aprendizado, oferece cursos de língua árabe e religião. No mês de Ramadã as visitas podem participar da quebra de jejum junto de todos e pode vivenciar um pouco do que é o Islã. Eu fui a 3 anos atras para conhecer e fui muito bem recebida, entrei pro curso e 6 meses após o curso me converti e desde então faço parte desta incrível religião que é o Islã. Alhamdullilah.

A partir dos comentários é possível entender porque nos chamam de ''macaquitos''! Ao invés arrotarem preconceitos alimentados de ''noticias fast-foods'', deveria investir um pouco de tempo em conhecer os fundamentos da religião e tirarem suas próprias conclusões. Uma visita valeria, nem que fosse para ver de perto essa arquitetura belíssima. Na lista dos passeios de família!

Lembro de ter ido à Mesquita pelos idos de 2011, a convite de um amigo recém convertido na época, e precisamente no período de Ramadã. Um dos poucos lugares em que fui vista e tratada como ser humano, mesmo não sendo da religião. Muito atenciosos e prestativos a tudo que se propõem a fazer. Quero novamente fazer uma visita, tenho ótimas recordações do lugar.

Very nice little Mosque. I was there yesterday for the Friday prayer. It’s about 50 minutes if you take the metro. I asked the Imam if there is any halal meat he told me no. A Mesquita é confortável e bem receptiva, de certa forma. Recomendo visitar às sextas, no horário de 12h30, assim você poderá acompanhar a oração em congregação (Jummah). Fora desse horário será quase impossível a visita sem hora marcada, já que a mesquita não disponibiliza mais de alguém que possa ficar na portaria.

i visited her today 11/sep/2021 and by accident met the imam. it was a pleasure to learn about the mosque and even i was not expecting it, he have a muslim community of about 100 persons, which is great for Rio. as i will send them my sadaka, every body should consider for him self aswell.

Try to be there before 1.30pm for Jummah namaz. Imam is from Mozambique and very humble as the Imam should be, he can speak English as well. Muslim brothers please visit Masjid and try to donate as much as you can. May Allah accept all our prayers. Ameen

Uma sugestão: por que não resgatam e recuperam uma belissima mesquita abandonada na região de Jacarepaguá? Daria um excelente centro cultural muçulmano, restaurante etc. Quem tiver interesse fica na Estrada de Jacarepaguá altura do numero 1700.

Masha-Allah, a beautiful mosque in Rio. For Jumuah, we arrived at 12:50PM and the khutbah had started. The iqamah for Salah was at 1:30PM
