I have been here multiple times over the years, and it is very hit and miss depending on the masseuse you get (as with most massage establishments!) However, today I am reviewing the Diamond Package as I feel those investing in it could benefit from some feedback. It was $625 (after we tipped, $525 for the package) and included (2) 90-min massages, (2) 30-min facials, (2) foot & hand mask, (2) hydrotherapy circuit, and (2) sitting room/light refreshments. I will review them in that order. Upon arrival I was thinking they would give us some information on the whole process and the timing, but that didn't happen. It was fine, just a little strange based on my past spa experiences. The massages were very different experiences, my partner had a great therapist and really enjoyed his massage. Said it was awesome. My therapist must have been the one reviewed previously where the individual just had a bunch of oil rubbed on them lightly and wiped off with a towel, over and over. There was very little focus on actually massaging my muscles (even though I requested medium to deep pressure) and a large majority of the massage was pulling back on my hair and holding it for awhile. At least 35% of the massage was on my hair/scalp and feet.. and little to no focus on massaging the rest of my body. The time that was spent massaging my body was hardly any pressure and a lot of wiping with a wet towel. As I have had many, many massages.. I typically would stop and say something about it. However, it was a couples' massage and I didn't want to interrupt the experience of my partner's massage so I dealt with it. Unfortunately I didn't feel like I had gotten a massage immediately after it was over. The facials were probably the best part, they were relaxing and enjoyable. However, just a note that this is not a typical facial most people are used to with a light on the skin, detailed explanation of the process, etc. It was in the dark, and just several different products rubbed on and wiped off. However, it was relaxing and beneficial in my opinion. The foot and hand mask was also done during the facial and it was nice. The hyrdro therapy circuit was something we were looking forward to based on friends referring us to it. However it must have changed and/or gone downhill. There is no longer a hot tub, but there is a steam room/shower, cold plunge, and two saunas. The steam room/shower is awesome. The saunas were not hot, whatsoever. They said that they were on and working.. but they both just felt like a somewhat warm room - not like a sauna. So we were a little disappointed with the circuit. The light refreshments were kind of comical.. only because I had heard from a friend about their awesome experience of a nice sitting area, fresh fruit, etc.. and this was literally some Costco snacks on a tray - fruit snacks, chips/cheetos/etc, not really something that fell in line with the price of the package. It wasn't a big deal since we weren't there for the "refreshments" but it was kind of amusing. All in all I am giving 3 stars because they were courteous and friendly, and one of the massages was awesome. But the cost vs value makes the Diamond package absolutely not worth it, there are other spas in the area with the same pricing and much better facilities.

I wanted to give this five stars (because we really did have a great experience!), but there is one overwhelming reason I only gave a three-star. First, I'm gonna start with the good - because there is plenty. We booked the Diamond package for our anniversary which entails (according to their website) "(2) 90 min Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage $220 (2) Hot Stone Treatment $50 (2) 15 min Reflexology $50 (2) Express Facial $110 (2) Salt Body Scrub $110 (2) Private Steam Room $80 (2) Meditation Cave & Refreshments $70 Value of $690 Only $385" Upon arrival, there were a lot of positive notes: *There is a zen/Asian theme which was quite nice. Having been to Japan myself, it was fun. *Our shoes were traded out for slippers to wear throughout the establishment. It added to the environment and got us mentally prepped for our massage. *Our massage room was kept dark; surprisingly challenging for a sunny window in the afternoon. *The massage beds are heated - nice surprise! *The steam room is large and quite relaxing! And finally... *OUR MASASAGE THERAPIST: They were wonderful! We have asked at other massage places for deep tissue... This was our first time actually getting a deep tissue massage! Now for the negatives: *We had soft waves and rain music for most of our massage. It was nice, but as we were getting dressed, the music changed to Asian instruments. We would have liked to have had the music during our session as it kept with the theme. I enjoyed that music more. *THE ONE OVERWHELMING REASON THAT KEPT ME FROM 5-STARS... We paid for a 90 minute massage and that is NOT what we received! Since we paid $385 PLUS tip, I would expect the full massage. How do I know we didn't get the full massage? I'll explain - We arrived at 3pm. On the website, it says there is a "10 minute intake & QA" followed by the massage. After we got ready for our massage and laid on the table, I saw my phone said 3:15 exactly. After our supposed 90 minute massage and advertised 15-minute reflexology, my phone said 4:38. I took a screenshot on my phone and took a picture of the clock in our room. If we had the full time on the massage and reflexology, it should have been 5pm. Even if we have started right at 3pm, it would have been 4:45pm. Either way, we we're shorted time. I don't believe in paying for services not rendered, and for that reason, I gave our experience a three-star.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY I’m so disappointed with my experience at this spa. I’m honestly surprised at the amount of good reviews. I spent a lot of time reading reviews before booking, trying to find the best place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. I made a mistake choosing this one! I scheduled a couples massage through their online booking. I got an email back within a few hours saying the appt was booked for a different time and a different type of massage than I requested. So I had to call & get it fixed. Then the night before our appt, at 2AM I got a text saying one of their therapists called in sick & we needed to come at a different time. I completely understand that people get sick! However, that time conflicted with our dinner reservation. So after many hours, texts back & forth, and rearranging of our plans and other reservations, we finally worked out a time to come in. Up to this point, I wasn’t upset or bothered. I understand things come up & I felt the person I was speaking with was trying her best to make things work! But once we got to the spa, it was downhill from there. We felt rushed from the moment we arrived to the moment we were ushered out the door. It was far from relaxing. There lacked a lot of simple details that make a spa experience. There was no robe to change into or locker room to place our things. We were not offered any water (let alone other refreshments) before or after the massage. There was no relaxing “waiting room” for before/after the massage. The massage itself was sub par. Really nothing great to say about it. I’m glad I asked to upgrade to hot stones because I was cold the entire time. The only positive thing I can say is that she did spend a few extra minutes on my problem area. To summarize, the booking was not smooth. The spa experience/ambiance was non-existent. The massage was nothing to write home about. We felt so rushed. We went in excited & hopeful and left feeling extremely disappointed. All this for $250. (Including a 3.5% fee for using a card that I only found out about after getting my receipt) I’m truly sad we spent the time & money to celebrate our anniversary here. I took the time to write this review to hopefully deter others from experiencing the same disappointment.

Edit: 09/02 better experience this time due to Rachel who was my therapist. Highly would recommend her services. As for the scheduling I went through the online booking again and actually got a response back within 10 minutes confirming my appointment. I spoke with julieta before my left and she listened intently and with care as I explained my frustration and validated me through the short conversation. I can say that I will continue to come here and getting great care from their massage therapist. Previous post: I have been coming to this spa for massages one and off for a few years now. I have always had a pretty good experience however today was not that case. I had set an online appointment before they opened which showed in their website and schedule to be available. I recieved confirmation that I would be texted to confirm, well 45 minutes after they opened I had still not gotten a confirmation so I went in at the time I scheduled which was 1015, I was told by the masseuse at the computer desk that my appointment was not confirmed, I then said you guys open at 9 it is now 10 a.m. why was I not updated with confirmation if my appointment was accepted or not. I was told we must have been busy. And basically that since it was not cinfirmed then I should have known. They offered to schedule me for 4 p.m tonight which does not work. I left and as I was walking out the door I then recieved the text saying my appointment request was not accepted. Each time I come I spend well over 120 dollars plus tip for one massage and I do it gladly, this lack of care from the staff or even acknowledgeing the frustration makes it to where I have to consider coming back again. In the end massages are good customer service not so, i would not recommend.

This was my first visit to Matrix. And I can't wait to go back! I've already scheduled my next massage. The pricing is excellent. You totally okay for their quality and expertise, without paying any markups I've seen at other places. What I received was worth every penny and more. Atmosphere is amazing. I felt welcomed and at ease. It was peaceful and serene. Everything was so nice and clean, and the Covid distancing was easy and encouraged. I got a couple's massage with my partner. The room was nice and big, and the tables were wider than I'm used to at other places. Both therapists were very professional. They listened to my wants and needs. Their instructions were simple and given in a friendly, adult manner. All the things I asked for were given in spades. This is the first time in my whole life a therapist actually respected my wish for soft pressure on my lower back and hips. I can't believe it still. All my covered areas were respected. Rolling over was easy and done with privacy. It feels GREAT. Best massage ever, no doubts. I left feeling so much more relaxed and loose than when I came in. I used to get 3-5 massages a year. But then Covid happened, so I haven't had a massage in over a year. The tightness and knots were no joke. But my therapist worked them out and loosened me up like it was nothing. Like I said, my request for different pressures in different places was honored. I couldn't have had a better experience, there's just no way. Five stars? 100 stars!

I'm guessing we caught them on a bad day. My wife and I scheduled a couples massage here for our anniversary. I called the morning of to make sure all was well. When they asked if we could "come a little sooner" I said sure, thinking maybe they needed us to do paperwork or something. Without informing us, they moved our entire appointment package up 30 minutes. So when we arrived 15 minutes early, we were apparently 30 minutes late on their schedule. We were rushed into the massage room without filling out any paperwork and told that our time would be half an hour shorter than planned because we were "late". Their miscommunication messed up our schedule and immediately stressed us out when we arrived. Not a relaxing way to start a massage session. My therapist, Selma, was awesome and did a great job. The two stars are for her. but the whole experience was tainted because we were treated as if it was our fault. There were also no paper towels or anything in the bathroom for hand-washing.. and the "light refreshments" in our package was literally 5 different types of raisins. .. Raisins?? They were nice, and compensated a small discount for their mix-up and poor communication, but I don't think we'll go back.

My husband and I went here over the weekend and did the emerald package. It was a belated birthday relaxation day for him and it was much needed. I cant remember the name of his masseuse but she was nice and he liked his massage and my masseuse was Audrey and she was amazing. It was by far the best massage I have had. I'm so glad we decided to go with this day spa instead of the others because they would not have lived up to this place. If we could afford it we would drop everything and go again this weekend. And the next. We probably won't get back this year but we will be saving up to do it again as soon as possible. We had such a great time just being able to enjoy each other away from the stress and daily responsibilities outside of the spa. The only downside to this whole place was there was no baths. I know that sounds very trivial- but when I go to a day spa I like to be able to start with a relaxing bath with oils and tea. Maybe a thought for once the management starts renovations in the future! :) All in all this place deserves more than 5 stars. The cleanliness, friendliness, and quality was all great. Definitely loyal customers.

RUINED MY WEEKEND WITH MY MOM. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. MORE STRESS THAN RELAXATION I booked a $400 mother daughter package about two weeks ago on their online booking service. Since I haven’t heard back I called and was told it didn’t go through because my credit card wasn’t on file, there was no data field for my credit card on the website. Few days later they call me to ask if they can move my appointment to a different time that day, it was not an option so I moved it to the next day and made the appropriate changes in my schedule to fit their schedule. Today was the day of our appointment and 2 HOURS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT I get a call to let me know someone called sick and they couldn’t accommodate the appointment anymore and asked to move it AGAIN. Alas my mom leaves tomorrow. And frankly I have no faith in their ability to hold an appointment at this time. No offers, no discounts offered, no accommodations. They asked me to be understanding without considering my own frustration and disappointment. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS THERE EVER. This is the worst interaction I had with any spa anywhere. What a waste of energy and time.

This place had nice masseuses and staff working downstairs at the spa, but I was incredibly disappointed by the front desk customer service they stole $500 from us and turned a birthday present to relieve my stress into an even more stressful situation. My husband tried to treat me to a spa day here and they accidentally charged me $500 for someone else’s package, then told me they charged me for the wrong special after I pointed out their pricing and charged me an additional $300 for the right spa service. I stood around asking when they would refund me and the lady made me feel like it would be taken care of and I should leave and not worry about it and was already speaking to other customers. Three weeks later and my partner has still been charged $800 by this place and has to dispute it with his bank now to try and get his money back they never refunded anything. Don’t go here, they’ll scam you out of hundreds of dollars and barely apologize. Horrible business practices to charge someone AGAIN after not even refunding the first overcharge this could leave some people with overdraft issues on their card. I will not be back.

I came to this place and had the Ultimate spa experience about 5 years ago and it was amazing. So I decided to buy it for myself again for my birthday and it was a terrible experience. The massage therapist was very nice but didn't seem to be very knowledgeable, he put pure lemon essential oil on my face and it burned my skin and now I have a rash then the hydro part of the package they take you to this room that is super cluttered and not very relaxing and the snacks are like that cheap Halloween candy type stuff. It's not what you expect when you are paying over 300 hundred dollars. I was supposed to get a facial next so he told me to enjoy the room for 90 minutes and someone would come grab me. I tried all the sauns etc and 2 hours go by and I don't hear from anyone. So I wonder around looking for people and finally find someone and they are the people who are supposed to be doing my facial and don't seem to know what's going on so they leave to go check. I honestly lost my patience and left. I don't expect to pay that much money and have that kind of experience...

Didn’t even get to go in for my couples massage. We were in SLC for the week and wanted a massage. I called and set up a couples massage for Friday and had to get off work early because it was the only time that worked. When we showed up on Friday they TOLD us they only had booked it for a single person. When we got home we saw they our old email was confirmed for a couples massage. Apparently they had given one of our appointments away so now only 1 of us could get a massage. We did reschedule but once we saw this was the case we were extremely upset and wanted to cancel since we didn’t even need to miss our appointment in the first place. I was NEVER told there was an email confirmation by either employees I talked too. When canceling they told me they will still be charging me 25 dollars for “their inconvenience”. The worst customer experience EVER. Do not go here! Also I am expecting they will still to charge me because that seems like the type of company they are. Without a doubt I will dispute it.

I booked the Emerald Package as part of my husband's birthday gift, largely due to the numerous positive reviews others have left about Matrix. From the moment we arrived, the staff was professional, prompt and curteous. The massage itself was second to none, and both my husband and I have had many massages in the past. My therapist, David, was able to find and focus on my biggest problem areas quickly without me even telling him where they were. Audrey had my husband so relaxed, that he fell asleep twice and told me it's the best massage he's ever had as well. After the massage, we were treated to reflexology and a salt scrub, so it really is a full body pampering. If the massage, reflexology and salt scrub weren't enough, you also get 40 minutes to yourself to enjoy the meditation cave and steam room. The perfect way to end a truly delightful experience. You get so much for your money there. It's clean with a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful staff. We can't wait until we can come back again.

I should preface my review by saying that I have been having true therapeutic massage for over 15 years of my life and have had a variety of very skilled therapists in the past. I visited Matrix about 1 month ago for a massage to use a gift card I had been given. . At that time I had a good massage, I felt relaxed afterward and the massage therapist was good. I returned today and decided to try a different massage therapist. I am SO glad I did. Amie provided me with true therapeutic body work. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and does true therapeutic massage work. If you really know and understand massage, you will appreciate her approach. If you are looking for a massage you can get on a cruise line, this is not it. I will definitely return in the future to see Amie again! My back feels fantastic today and I can really tell the difference in my posture, my neck and my overall energy level. She gave the best massage that I have had in years! Thank you Amie for the awesome massage work.

I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage at the Matrix Spa & Massage for my first visit. I was told to arrive 5 minutes before my massage and ended up sitting in the waiting area for 5-7 minutes AFTER my scheduled time. The chairs in the lobby are uncomfortable to sit in for 10-15 minutes. After being taken upstairs, I was led to my room where I was able to use the restroom if needed and prepare for my massage. The masseuse (Whitney) was friendly and made me feel very comfortable and immediately found a way to connect with me by reading the information card I had filled out in the lobby. The massage itself was wonderful. I have neck, shoulder, and back pain all of the time due to sore and tense muscles, and I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. I would recommend the Matrix Spa & Massage. The only thing that wasn't great was the wait time and the comfort of the lobby.

This place is interesting and my therapist was definitely unique. He only massaged my upper body and told me to breathe into my collar bone and other instructions that I didn't quite know how to follow. My elbow was sore for a day or two after. I do think he was genuinely trying to help, but I would have liked more explanation of what was the rationale behind the movements and instructions. I also would have preferred to have received some work on the legs, but again 60 minutes sometimes isn't enough time I guess. Other members of group liked there experience more and described there massages very positively. The offer to return gratis by the owners in their comments below is a nice sentiment and a testament to how they care for their business. (Unfortunately I was visiting from out of town so cannot do so but again appreciate it)

My husband and I were visiting from out of town. After a couple of days of heavy physical activity, we were aching for a massage, and my sister (who lives in SLC and had been to Matrix before) recommended their early-bird special. For $49, we each received an amazing 60-minute massage. My therapist was professional, punctual, and gave me a fantastic massage with just the right amount of pressure. She did fantastic work which included plenty of time on both large and small muscle groups. After skiing and hiking, I appreciated the work on my quads, calves, and arms, in addition to my back and shoulders. My husband's massage was equally good - he came out of the room raving about how great he felt! I would definitely recommend Matrix to anyone for a top-notch, affordable massage.

If you are looking for a nice, relaxing spa atmosphere - this is NOT it. It’s old and dirt and decorated in dark colors. Furniture is outdated and feels dirty. My kids said “I hope they wash the towels”. That is the feel you get there. We did the hydrotherapy and massage special. The hydrotherapy is a complete joke. A two person sauna that you could use in your home. A outdated, dirty steam room and a Luke warm 3-person hot tub. I don’t think they understand the concept behind a circuit. Basically I paid 135/person for a mediocre 60 minute massage. Tea water wasn’t even warm and they were 15 minutes behind schedule and our massage got cut a bit short. I sent in feedback as they promise customer satisfaction and I received zero response. Save your money. Go somewhere else!

Wow ! My daughter was in town for a visit and we (Olivia, Ellen , and I) all wanted a massage on the same day/same time. We called Monday morning at 9 and all 3 of us were scheduled at noon that day with 3 different therapists. And all three of us had a great ! experience !!! We were greeted warmly and each therapist came into the waiting area and introduced themselves. The facility was clean, warm, and attractively decorated and not overdone. This was the first time for all of us but it will definitely not be the last, In fact, only 5 days later, Ellen has another appointment ! This is a separate review from the one posted above re: my10/11 visit with Sarah. I was treated courteously by all staff, my massage was great! I will be returning Soon !!!! Thanks!!!

Came here for our anniversary and got the ruby package. It was so great to come and relax! the atmosphere was so inviting and relaxing. The massage was amazing, they really went above and beyond to help me stretch my tight hips. We then had the infrared sauna which was just great to sit in and relax. Having the light refreshments was a nice treat too! We absolutely loved this place and are excited that its only a couple blocks away from us! Edit: came here a second time and we got totally hustled that the tip we were leaving wasn’t big enough (it was plenty big enough) and the manager or whoever it was at the front desk, looked at us with absolute disgust and then just ignored us and asked us to just leave. Won’t be going back ever.

I'm disappointed. We got a couples massage with cupping. My husband LOVED his. Mine was the most superficial deep tissue ever. Then I'm told afterwards that she cant/won't do deep tissue like she used to. Um... cool? Considering that's what we paid for. We picked here because it was closer and had openings when our regular didn't. I'll gladly keep driving over an hour to go to our usual lady. I went in and walked out the same. We specifically discussed my back and how tense it was, and how I wanted it deep tissue. I got a a whole body massage after saying I wanted to focus on my back, AND it was NOT deep tissue. She basically did whatever she wanted. Literally said she does everything after I said I wanna focus on my back.

Matrix is simply the best in Utah not only for Massages. It is more then that. The experience you will receive is one of a kind! I have had injuries and am probably the hardest customer to work on. Just ask... I have had a few therapists there and they were all good. Limhi is the best for the hard structural work that I need. He is one of the best I have ever had! He really cares and is great at getting the work that I need done when I come in. I recommend the Expertise Massage. The sauna and steam rooms just make the experience that much better. Honestly, i think all the 5 star reviews here are fake. It was easy to make a reservation, a lady will text you in English. What I received was not a massage at all. I was extensively covered in oil (probably a gallon of it, i am not joking). And all the guy did was rubbed the oil, wiped it off with a hot towel and rubbed it again. And breathed deeply and loudly, while making random chaotic movements. A receptionist lady could have done a better job, as a matter of fact you can massage yourself better. Hated every moment of it. I can go on and on but i am trying not to ruin my vacation. Giving it 2 stars for ease of making a reservation and my husband’s massage experience was better from mine.

My amazing sauna and massage were heavenly! Right from the beginning the atmosphere inside is very calming and inviting. I loved that my therapist greeted me and asked what types of issues or needs I had, so I was sure to get exactly what I needed. Their new sauna is so relaxing and helped me calm down from the chaos of the day and get warm and relaxed for a fabulous massage! The therapist did a great job of making me feel comfortable and checking with me on the amount of pressure etc. I haven't ever had a massage this great before! I will definitely be a steady customer and cannot recommend Matrix and their staff highly enough, you should try it out for yourself, you won't regret it!

Absolutely wonderful experience. We've been to several different massage therapists in Salt Lake, and this place is hands down the best. The experience is unlike anything else or anywhere else. You really feel like you're able to escape from the real world for a few hours. The massage therapist asked several questions before the massage about problem areas and actually listened. It was so nice to have someone that really cares about their work. The steam room is amazing and made a difference for days after the massage. Finishing off the experience in their meditation cave was icing on the cake. Loved everything about Matrix Massage and their staff. Will definitely be going here again!

I have finally found the best place to get a massage and so much more! I have been to several massage placed throughout the valley and THIS IS THE PLACE! If you want to be treated with respect and by professionals, look no further! My friend and I had our first session with the Couples Diamond Package. Josh and Lemmy were our massage therapists. Oh my! Best massage I have had ever! Josh really knows what he's doing! And according to my friend, Lemmy is also amazing! I have been back 2 more times and I will continue to return! Prices are very reasonable, especially because you feel so DAMN great after! They really pamper you. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Bought the diamond package for the mrs. & I and what a great experience we had. From the moment we walked in they took great care of us and made us feel very relaxed and taken care of. The massage was very deep & my therapist nick really focused on the areas I asked him to and he was very focused on getting the muscles how he wanted before moving on to the next spot. Both her and I loved the body scrub and the steam room with meditation cave really sets things off at the end to finally just settle down and enjoy yourself. I would recommend this place to everyone as I know in fact I'll be booking again very soon. Thanks matrix MONEY WELL SPENT

My husband and I booked a couple's massage last weekend at Matrix and it was excellent! Ashley was my massage therapist, and Limhi was my husband's massage therapist. They were both polite, professional, and kind. If at any point any of the massage techniques became uncomfortable or too deep for me, I mentioned it to Ashley and she very quickly adjusted to make sure I was comfortable. She took great care to make sure I was modestly covered with a sheet at all times. A massage is individual and your massage therapist can't read your mind. Communication is key for a great experience. We had an excellent massage and will likely come back again!

I received the Ultimate Spa Experience as a Christmas gift from my boy friend. He did a lot of research on different spas in Utah and decided Matrix Spa had the best reviews and deals. After my massage, I can agree with all the positive reviews. The package includes a 90 minutes massage, facial, scalp massage, salt body scrub, hot towels, private steam room, aromatherapy, meditation cave and light refreshments. Per their website, this package was $245.00, This was my first full spa experience and I loved it. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The private steam room was the best! I would definitely come back. From my first step through the door I am greeted by a welcoming, informative, happy-to-serve-you receptionist. The environment is peaceful, calming, inviting throughout my visit. I have had the privilege of many massages from owner Julieta Hernandez. She demonstrates brilliance in creating a business that develops exceptional therapists in a nourishing environment. Aches diminish. Massages never disappoint. Thank you for the comfort and relief. Unbeatable.

I have been coming to Matrix Spa & Massage for about 5 years now and can always get in quickly. I made an appointment yesterday because I woke up with an extremely sore neck from sleeping wrong which resulted in a massive migraine (that I often suffer from) and I left feeling clear headed and amazing! Frederick Salt provided one of the best massages I have ever received. He took the time to listen to my needs and put real attention and care into his practice. He has a ton of experience in massage therapy and I would recommend him to anyone needing a great massage that’s well worth the money.

I was in serious need of a deep tissue massage so I booked an appointment with Ashley. I showed up a tad early and she took me right back. The waiting area is always welcoming and the massage room is set perfectly for maximum relaxation. Ashley did a great job in making sure to hit all my pain points. She even made sure I was comfortable with the pressure she was using. All in all, one of the best massages I have had in along time. The cost is comparable to what other places are charging, and sometimes with the packages, a bit less. I strongly recommend Matrix for any serious massage lover!

Visited Matrix last Friday and had a deep tissue massage by Brian. Not only was the massage excellent, but Brian was very accommodating and concerned with making sure my experience at Matrix was a good one, and the staff is very friendly. They even found me some eye drops as one of my contacts had come out. Brian did an excellent job! I haven't had that good of a deep tissue massage in so long. My masseur did a good job at working out my knots--she knew just how much pressure to apply at each spot, without making it too painful. The hot stone massage was amazing!!!! I had never had it before, and now don't want another massage without hot stones. All in all, this place will NOT disappoint. You will get your money's worth and then some. I happened to be in Slc area for the day and decided I needed a massage. I booked the 90 minute deep tissue massage and they got me booked in with less than a 45 minute notice to my surprise! There was nice calming music and the receptionist was very friendly. Jacque my therapist was very knowledgeable and professional in her work. She asked about the problematic areas and made sure to put some extra effort into them. That was the best massage I have ever received, you just can’t put a price on the pain relief I experienced I will most certainly be back!

Matrix Spa provides the best and most relaxing experience I've ever had with a massage. The staff are friendly, accommodating and exceptionally skilled. They not only make you feel comfortable, they find all of those bad areas and make them good again. Every time I come to SLC, I stop in a Matrix for an amazing experience. Usually, I head over there straight from the airport and leave my suitcase in the lobby. It's that good. I've told all of my friends and family about Matrix and I hope that they're able to spend some time there too, someday.

My sister and I went this weekend for the diamond package. She had Allison and I had Randy as our therapists. This was our first massage/ spa experience and we both are in love with this place! It was so clean, relaxing, comfortable, and it was basically like being worshipped for 3 hours. Everyone was beyond friendly and approachable, it was a beautiful and therapeutic environment to be in. We plan on coming back every couple of months for sister time. We left feeling refreshed and have been recommending Matrix to everyone now.

I called one morning to ask about a walk in. The receptionist was kind enough to call in one of the massage therapists who was there within 30 minutes to accommodate me. She did a fantastic job on my tense muscles. She knew when to upgrade me to the expert package because of all the knots I had all over my body. I have since had better pain relief since my massage there and I am looking forward to my next appointment. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a skilled therapist who knows what she is doing.

I booked 5 massages for my sisters and I. The staff worked to find a place in their schedule for us and made it such a nice experience. Personally for me, Richard was so phenomenal! He was very professional and talked as much as I wanted but most of the massage I just wanted to relax. He calmly cued me to breath to release the tension of the muscle he was working, giving gentle education. I received the perfect pressure that I requested, which I like a lot of pressure. I would definitely book here again!

Ashley Sadler Gives the best massages. She is very professional and I felt very comfortable with her. She is very strong and keeps the same pressure throughout the whole massage. I loved my experience at Matrix Spa and Massage. I walked in on a cold snowy day and was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff with some nice tea. The spa was lit with candles and it was so cozy and inviting. I had a massage done from Mary and it was wonderful! She listened to my request and followed through. I had some specific needs that she was able to help me with throughout my massage. I would definitely recommend (and have!) Matrix Spa and Massage to my friends and family.

I have had a couple of massages before while on vacation. I wanted to enjoy this luxury in my home city. I got a gift certificate from Clark Planetarium's gala that Matrix had generously donated. I booked the appointment and wanted to just go relax. My experience was absolutely perfect! My therapist, Phil, was professional and skilled. He asked me a few questions at the beginning and then didn't try to talk so I could just relax. I plan to become a regular customer. Thanks Matrix!

If I could give Matrix more than 5 stars, I would. I went in last week for the first time. I had a 1hr deep tissue massage, facial, and salt body scrub. Megan is a miracle worker and my massage was heaven. I had some serious knots in my neck and shoulders, as well as a very sore lower back, when I went to Matrix. I left that day feeling better than I have in months! The entire ambiance at Matrix is relaxing, calming and peaceful. I'll definitely be returning as soon as possible.

I received a 1HR Swedish Massage from Matrix Spa & Massage and was very impressed. Lynn was my therapist and did an amazing job. She was very professional and made sure she was focusing on the areas that I preferred. The only thing I would recommend is having clients change into robes and relax in a calming environment before getting the massage. As soon as I arrived, they had me get on the massage table instead of giving me a minuet to sit and relax in a soothing atmosphere.

I couldn’t be more pleased with this spa. Rachel, the massage therapist I had was incredible. I’ve only had a handful of massages in my life so I went in not feeling super comfortable and didn’t know exactly what to expect. But she explained everything and immediately put me at ease. I did the deep tissue massage, she was extremely intuitive and experienced, she pin pointed every problematic area without me having to say anything. I will be returning, five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've had two really great and one not-so-great massage experiences here. I suppose it depends on who your therapist is, but my one negative experience involved an appointment that went under the allotted (when I pay for 60 minutes, that's what I want!). That seems like the kind of thing that would be standardized in the entire business, not just at the therapist level. Regardless, the majority of my experiences here have been good, and with easy online scheduling.

Audrey is hands-down the best massage therapist I have EVER visited (and I've been to my fair share in all the states I've lived). She does deep tissue work like no other and remains strong throughout the entire massage. Just recently I visited her for 90 minutes instead of 60, and she was powerful and precise throughout the entire experience. I love the techniques and coconut oil she uses in her practice. Her bedside manner is fabulous and she's a gem!

The facility was very clean, staff were very friendly, and honestly it was one of the best massages I have ever received. Best yet, I was able to make a same day appointment! I had a back massage, foot reflexology and foot detox, all were excellent. It felt so great that I have scheduled another appointment for next week. The foot detox was very interesting and seemed to do its job. It has been a week and I feel better, more energy. I also had the ladies package, where we used the steam room and that was great and very relaxing. My gal pal and I spent a few hours there for this package came out like brand new.

I took my wife to get a couples massage for our anniversary. Zach was the one who did my massage. Although he was new, he did a great job listening to my requests and making adjustments. His technique was great and he really worked the areas well on which I wanted extra work. I highly recommend him for deep tissue massage and reflexology. A huge rip off! Do not get any of there packages. There packages are the biggest scam, they shouldn’t even be offering them. Message was okay but there hot tub, sauna, steam room and shower are so ghetto. The sauna wasn’t even hot! Would never recommend this place! It was my first time and I had specifically requested someone (referral from friend) and ended up getting another masseuse (apparently due to an error in booking). The person I received was better suited for a regular Swedish massage. He did not seem experienced with deep tissue. I will give this location another try on Friday and hopefully will have a better experience. The facilities are nice, beds comfy etc.

This was a fantastic experience for me! Karen was my massage therapist and she really focused on the problem areas I pointed out and was able to work out a lot of the tension in my shoulders. My mom and I did the mother and daughter package and overall it was a really awesome experience! The place was under construction but they were able to accommodate our needs, the only downside is I never even knew our massage therapists names and I am kinda bummed about not being able to utilize the hot tub or sauna but I guess that means I’ll just have to come back another time! This was not the case at all. Both Massage Therapists took their time with each service and my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with care we were given. This is one of the more expensive places in town, but my goodness are they worth it. I've worked with three different therapists, and each one has been exceptionally good in their own way. You can get a reasonably good massage for about $50 cheaper a few other places around town, but you're rolling the dice. Here you can be pretty much guaranteed a memorable experience.

This is the worst place ever. I booked an appointment for a 90-minute couples massage, and they put the wrong time so when I got there, they told me they would get me in asap. Richard H. is amazing - I’ve been going to him consistently for years now, and he’s officially the best. I love that his massages are very dynamic. He uses multiple methods to understand your body as opposed to just finding a spot and sticking to it. All staff are so professional and friendly, and each experience is so relaxing.
