Used to work here but i guess daytime shift went downhill, bathroom not open even on week days? Watched a poor dad have to take his kid to the bar across the street. People on till aren’t trained well; cause i have a coupon it can’t upgrade my fries? Yes… yes you can its just extra. Food service is slower than ever for simple things like drinks. Seems like front staff aren’t trained to know where everything is and dance in circles when you as for sugar. Watched a poor girl slip today on a mopped floor broke her phone because the employee who did lobby didn’t put signage at the top of the slope. Lucky because that screams Lawsuit. Pop ice has run out every time I’m here customer complains about pop being warm or no ice for the machine etc. I come in on my way to work (anytime between 1pm-5pm) every week or so always so slow or have to correct procedures/orders. I come in to grab food and leave not to wait around and have to explain to a newbie how to do something cause manager is to busy to help the poor kids out. Train your staff and management needs to step up, clear theres been no improvement sense i left due to ignorant management that dont do their jobs and then the employees get the back hand of it. The sweet girls up front are trying their best, but their best isn’t very good because they’re not properly prepped and trained for a busy location such as downtown. This problem is deep. Hope to see improvement.

I went there for the second time in this week since it is near to my apartment, but i am sorry to say that it would be my last visit here and may be to an MacDonald outlet in downtown. We ordered our meal for the family and my 10 years old son wanted to use the washroom to pee, it was 8.30 pm and the staff simply denied using the washroom. Even the manager named Jack refused not to let the child use the washroom. It was told that it's MacDonald policy to shut the washroom by 7pm. If they do so ,why does the store then even take dine in orders after 7pm. No customer respect is there at such places. They should rather close the store by 7pm for walk in customer and take only online orders if such is a behaviour towards family customers. The next door Ramada hotel was rather courteous to let the child use the washroom. The MacDonald team should look into it else they would be loosing loyal customers soon. There's no shortage of eating joints and soon the new generation will loose it's charm going to MacDonald if the standards are not maintained both for food and customer respect.

The screens with the order numbers were great, especially for this location as it has/had two entrances, one from the street and another full the mall. Unfortunately, at some point over the last year or so, the staff at this location have started just clearing all the orders regardless of whether they have served the order or not. I'm assuming this is due to some corporate policy pushing minimum order clearance target times. This idea might be good in theory but in practice this is what you get, stores trying to game the system and the order number screens becoming essentially useless. Worst case, your bag with the order number gets stuck under others and missed and they don't realize they haven't served your order until you mention it after having watched 5 or 6 same orders (just a big Mac and fries) that came in after yours go out first. Whether this is a corporate thing or a store trying to have the system so their stats look better, this is a fail for the customer experience.

Flew all the way to Calgary from California to go to McDonald's. My first Canadian McDonald's. It was very busy on a beautiful warm June afternoon. Ironically, even though I live near Silicon Valley, this is the first store I've seen with self-order kiosks. So I took advantage of that. Many people using them. It was a fast, easy way to place my order. There are screens showing the order process at the counter. The store is a long narrow sliver in a large building, but it works out. Even though it was crowded, I got my order fairly quickly. It seemed clean and well organized when I was there. The menu was somewhat different from the US, but the pricing seemed generally comparable. So great, my first Canadian McDonald's. My friends there are always going to Tim Horton's, but on my own, I wanted a McDonald's.

Avoid this location. The drink machines are always broken, never have ice and now dispense pop that is not chilled. The doors, if you can get to them due to vulnerable populations consuming drugs out front. The access buttons never work, doors are hard to open, if someone is walking in you can’t get out because the space is so narrow. The cleanliness of the lobby alone is the next red flag. No dining area, but if you want your shoes to stick to the floor then this is the place for you. The staff turn over is high and it’s because they are always understaffed. This location continues to spiral downwards and is probably one of the top three eyesores along Steven avenue. My advice walk up one block, just past the winners to A&W

Ordered breakfast via Uber. When the driver shows up he apologizes to me and shows me a picture he took of the bag at the store. They put a broken lid on my coffee cup and decided to still put it in the bag and have it delivered that way. My Uber driver tried to get them to replace it because the bag was wet when he picked it up and they refused. When I called the store, they just talk over you and interrupt, telling me that I'm wrong and that the driver broke the lid. The picture the driver showed me has the McDonald's counter in the back.... magic fingers the driver must have considering the tamper stickers were intact. Minimum wage minimum effort..

If you’re gonna order here go behind the counter and cook it yourself, it’ll be a lot faster. They somehow lost my friend’s ticket # even though we were the only 2 people there. They couldn’t even match up the lid sizes on the cups. They gave us a large cup (when we ordered a medium which is a bonus for us!) but they gave us a medium lid and they were confused when I went back to ask for a different lid. There’s no washroom to use. I’ve seen a 4 year old with more critical thinking skills. I’d give them less than 1 star if I could. I would give them 0.3 stars and that’s only because we actually got our food.

Worst McDonald’s Ever! So dirty, has so many homeless at the front of the entrance (be careful and cautious) and smells so bad inside. So slow and understaff ( it’s stampede week, wouldn’t you think to have backup staff? ). The white girl that was working last night was so damn slow, she moved slower than a turtle. When we told her our food was taking so long, she responded with “ it hasn’t even been longer than 30 minutes “. We ordered our food at 1:20 and didn’t get it till 1:55. That white girl isn’t fit to work in a fast food place.

Came here with my family on our way to an event at Olympic plaza. This place is gross. The service is painfully slow and our order was missing items when we finally got it. I did t have the patience to stand in line all over again to get the missing items. Wonder if they do this to everyone? The place full of homeless people trying to get free stuff. Some of them standing and pacing around in the middle of the restaurant ranting about the government and the size of mc flurries. The door in and out of the place is a pain because people like to stand there to get out of the weather. Not a good place to bring kids and Will not be back again ever.

Terrible, I had to wait 30 minutes or more for an order of iced latte and 2 donuts when they gave me coffee I didn't check my bag of donuts and when I opened it there was a muffin. When I asked for a replacement, they said wait, I waited for about 15 minutes, and they also answered me rudely, the workers are very lazy, and do not do their work on time and correctly, they do it very slowly. There are only 4 people in the kitchen who cannot cope with their work, TERRIBLE.

You have to hand it to them. This location sits at ground-zero of a national opiod epedemic which is constantly in your face when you're there, yet it somehow miraculously continues to operate daily. Despite the chaos they are subjected to, employees diligently work hard to produce standard quality fast food. Orders are served up with surprising speed and efficiency and *close* to what you expect from any other MacDonald's. Not for the faint of heart, but often your only option for very late-night food in the core.

Ordered a breakfast meal to go. By the time I got back to the office, I looked in the bag and there was no hash brown. I had thrown the receipt out but still had the bag sticker, which they could have looked up my order. Went back to check and was told that I didn't order a meal without checking anything and turned away rudely. I haven't been to McDonald's in years, this experience makes me not want to return to any of their establishments ever again.

Aug 2023 update: This is the most disgusting, sketchy Mcd's in Calgary. Today I had to dodge a homeless cart and the guy tweaking on fentanyl. They remove the items from the In Progress menu to artificially prop their order times. When I attempted to ask I was promptly ignored. It was clean today. Service was prompt and the staff did a good job of putting together the meal.

When purchasing through your kios it doesn't provide a receipt and therefore you can't get your order number. I've spoken to them about this. At the pickup counter they still call out order numbers. They don't call out what the order is. What will it take for them to do better? This is what you call controllable. These are issues they can easily fix within store level. Do better pls.

The service was bad. The while place was super unsanitary. I waited for an hour and a half for a order with no special dietary requirements. People who ordered after me got their food before me and by the time i got our food it was cold, mushy, wet, sticky, and my Fry's tasted like rotten fish. If I could give them a 0/5 Stars I would.

Terrible! This McDonald’s is basically a homeless shelter where they just fill up and stink the place up. The staff do not care at all either and I don’t blame them. As a result the fries are cold/hard and the burgers aren’t any better. If you have any other options for a late night meal go there instead.

I've gone here on numerous occasions and each time my order isn't correct or offered below standard. Today I ordered hashbrowns and when I went to eat it, they were fried to a crisp and fell apart. Always double check your order before you leave!!

I swear these mfs have a competition going to see who can mess an order up the most. Double qp and cheese with extra onions - single qp with no onions and extra pickles. Sprite - pure soda water. Mccrispy bacon deluxe - spicy mccrispy. Incredible, it’s a fun mystery order.

Ordered food at 2 am and was delayed 30 minutes. When the food arrived, what we did get was cold and inedible, and we were missing over half of our order. And when I say inedible I mean the "gravy" on the poutine was hardened to the point of looking like brown sugar.

Disgusting! I ordered a big MAC and they provided it to me in 30 seconds. The burger was cold, the breads, patties and toppings were spread everywhere in the box! I couldn’t stop thinking it might be a returned item and they just grabbed it from a trash bin…

Skip the dishes is a curse and the afternoon staff don't seem to know what they are doing. Sick of the lackluster performance. I had to wait 15 mins for my meal. Wrap was done and skip the dishes got the last fries. My wrap got cold. What a lousy eatery!!!
