I went to this ER hospital on 12/30/2022 due to spotting during early term pregnancy (6 weeks). They got me back quickly, and the nurses were very nice, but the sonogram technicians and doctor had the WORST bedside manner. There were two ultrasound technicians because one was new. The more tenured technician kept saying don’t worry she knows what she’s doing she’s just new, referring to the other technician. They took turns poking and prodding me while I was miscarrying. They talked about me and how the new technician couldn’t find anything. They didn’t talk to me until I started cry and telling them how scared and worried I was. The more tenured technician said “don’t worry you’re still young”! She also said if anything went wrong I’m in a hospital with people who could help. She then went on to show the other technician how to find my left ovary and they just kept prodding around while I cried. When I finally got back to the exam room I told my husband and he was livid, but he wanted to keep me calm so he didn’t say anything. The doctor came in not too long after and said, “so you’re barely pregnant”. Barely Pregnant! I was told nothing definitive, just to get my hCG levels read again in two days. The doctor said though I was producing hCG, and my ultrasound showed a sack, I wouldn’t really be pregnant until I was at least 8 weeks and the baby had a heartbeat. It was clear then that I was being treated the way I was because I was early term. To them I wasn’t a mother, I might as well have been passing a kidney stone. They didn’t know how excited my husband and I were or how devastated we were to have the pregnancy end all of a sudden and with no explanation. I do want to say there was absolutely nothing anyone could have done to save the pregnancy, but they definitely didn’t have to add to the emotional trauma. A little more training in bedside manner could go a long way for Dr. Collier and the two technicians.
I will start with the fact that I have not been to an ER in 22 years. I do not take medicine (RX pain relievers). I went in due to ongoing SEVERE pain. I have a high pain tolerance and was at my maximum level of bearable pain. I stressed that it is radiating into my lower back and hips, impairing my mobility. The PA (who was a large male) came in and without warning, started pushing very hard on my abdomin. I explained I also have an auto inflammatory disorder (they didn't appear to know what it was) and one of the PAs made a comment "that I think I have an auto inflammatory disorder". I do NOT THINK I do, I KNOW I DO. I was diagnosed at 10 years old and live with it every day. I also stated a family history of severe endometriosis. After tests, x-rays and a sonogram, the Dr literally came in for less than 90 seconds to tell me I have a cyst on one of my ovaries. He did not elaborate or explain. They did nothing to check for endometriosis. Everything they provided says cyst cause mild to no pain and said nothing about why I would be limited in mobility with hip/back pain. It also states that cysts only last a few weeks and disappear. I have been in pain for several years with it escalating in the last 4 months. I am still in pain. The doctor they recommended I follow up with has horrible reviews, including several regarding killing one patient and almost killing several others. I am less than impressed and feel bad for the few staff members that were awesome. The result, I was diagnosed with one thing, but something else is going on outside of that and they missed it. It was literally like being in a restaurant before closing time.....they were so fast and dismissive. Waste of my time for sure and exactly why I avoid Dr's and hospitals.
I’ve been to this ER on 3 different occasions over the past year for the same issue. I’m not one to go to the ER. This past year (12 month period) was my first time in over 5 years. Overall, my experience with this facility is great. The first time I went in, I felt like I got red carpet treatment. I was seen relatively quickly, triaged, had a CT scan, and received medication / IV for my symptoms. Second visit which was about 10 days ago sucked… I got seen very quickly, triaged, CT and sent home with a prescription (same medical issue as the time before). Third visit- symptoms progressed dramatically (probably could have been avoided if it was addressed better on 2nd visit). On this visit, my complaint was almost dismissed as a “fast track” (treat n street) issue, however, one of the doctors / nurses (Haley Crowe— young blonde lady-hopefully I’m giving credit to the right person) felt it important to get me a room. From there, I got the proper treatment. CT, IV Fluids and medicine, proper follow up instructions. Dr. Solano seems like a cool guy— I just wish he would have done this treatment on my initial visit 10 days ago. Also, on my second visit, I was kept up to date on my treatment plan indirectly (I could hear one of the nurses blurting everything out to either the doctor or another nurse from the nurses station (while my door was closed). Saving grace is that my name wasn’t used… lol They should address “loud talkers” whenever they do their HIPPA refresher. I’d say 2 out of 3 positive experiences isn’t bad. The facility is clean. Everyone is very nice and professional.
Went there for my wife's pain. We didn't know it at the time but she had a kidney infection. They sat her in a room and a couple nurses came in and were chatting with each other for a few minutes about their days, just a few feet away from my wife who's trying her best to keep her composure as she can barely see straight from the pain. The equipment they brought it didn't work and they laugh about it as they slowly move it out of the room. It took about 2 hours of everyone there thinking she was faking the pain before anything happened. The doctor said he could do a sample but he was sure it was just a UTI. Turns out she had a severe kidney infection, and when the doctor brought the news he seemed visibly disappointed, like he was bummed that he was wrong about her exaggerating. He still didn't want to give her any pain meds, because apparently he likes to play cops and robbers in his spare time and thought a girl with no medical history and not knowing the name of a single pain med was a hard-core narcotic addict. The entire experience felt humiliating. We absolutely did not feel like we were working with professionals. We left with some basic anti biotics and nothing for her pain, which she felt for the next week. They did nothing and charged us two month's worth of salary for it. I would not bring anyone I care about to this place.
I would avoid this place if anyway possible. I was transported to their ER in July 2022 & released within a few hours. As expected the bills started coming in and after comparing to my insurance EOB's, I promptly paid them all. Fast forward to February 2023, I received a phone call from their collections company, Medicredit regarding a "ghost" bill that I never received and had no EOB on from my insurance company. After speaking with Medicredit, who stated that I never received the bill because Medical City sent it to an old address from 9 years ago. I found that odd as all the other bills came to my correct address. For the past 3 months I've been trying to get a copy of the bill, but Medical City will not talk to me because they already turned it over to Medicredit. Medicredit claims to have sent me a copy of the bill at my correct address but it was returned to sender without reason according to them. When I doubted this, and asked them to resend it certified mail, they hung on me. I find the entire scenario extremely suspicious and potentially fraudulent. If the bill is legitimate, why won't they provide a detailed copy. I would think Medical City would have a more competent billing department.
This review is for the section where they take pregnant women, unsure of the name. I am 7 months pregnant, I started feeling cramping throughout the night and nausea. I waited a bit because it wasn’t serious yet, then I decided to go around 7 am to get checked out, now my regular OB and hospital is a mile further but I found it easier and closer to stop here. The MA who took care of me was so sweet and caring, I truly appreciated her. The on call nurse/ doctor and I can’t even remember her name, that’s where this review comes in. Took about 30-40 minutes to see her, came in and asked me why I waited until now to come in and why didn’t I go to my regular OB and hospital. I gave her my explanation and she said they’re open 24/7 and they would’ve taken me in, she was basically making me feel unwelcomed. Then proceeded to make judgment of my anemia, swollen gums and chapped lips. After telling me my baby was okay (which I was truly glad) she proceeded to tell me next time go to my OB and hospital, and she is right next time I’ll drive the extra mile because I would not stop here and receive her treatment again. Making someone feel unwelcomed and making those kinds of comments is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
My Roommate was put into the hospital with fungal Pneumonia. He stopped taking his medication that kept him healthy. He was in the hospital for two weeks. I became his designated health advocate. For 6 days we waited on the fungus culture that was supposedly sent to a lab. The lab never sent the sample for six days. The sample was no longer viable per my investigation. In addition he was not allowed or given a sponge bath or shower for 6 days!!! I started asking to have him bathe for 3 entire days finally I had to threaten a lawsuit to have them provide an oxygen tank so he could shower. 6 days in his own urine! I would not take my dog to this hospital. It was a horrible experience and my roommate developed PTSD While in the hospital due to such lack of patient care. The nurses were in a constant state of confusion as to having or not having a limit on water water consumption! It was truly an insane as to how they ignored him when he needed assistance. I tried to contact the Hospital Administrator and I had to make an appointment to see him. I have been hospitalized myself and never had such a lack of care as he did. I would never recommend this hospital at all!!
I had a wonderful experience at this hospital! I stayed for two days (21st-22nd of Decemeber) for a minor spine surgery with my surgeon Dr. Braaksma. I loved my room I was in, it was very clean and had little goodies for self care. When I ordered food the dining services were really nice and the food was fresh and delicious. The nurse that really took the best care of me was the day shift nurse named Bethany (I was in room 520 during my stay). Bethany was so so caring and always helped me with anything I asked her. She was so supportive and kind to me and always checked in on me! The staff during my surgery time were so kind also and informative of anything I needed to know. My surgeon Dr. Braaksma came and talked to me before my procedure and contacted my mom right after letting her know of all the information regarding me (he is extremely caring and an amazing surgeon). I forgot the name of my patient care tech but she was such a sweetheart as well, she worked day shift on December 22nd on Floor 5, my room was 520. This was a great and easy experience for me that really helped me with this surgery. Thank you to Medical City Alliance!!
I have nothing but great things to say about the LND second floor nurses. My wife has been at the hospital since October 27th it’s currently December 8th 2022. My wife’s water broke on the 27th of Oct and they hav been able to keep her pregnant as long as possible. We almost asked to get transferred over to the hospital her OBGYN works at. Staying here is the best thing we could’ve done. The nurses has been ready for baby to come out since day one. They don’t miss a beat. All and I mean All the nurses on the second floor LND have been nothing less then amazing towards us. Yes I know that’s there job but the amount of love we have gotten here is amazing. I have a 3 year old daughter and she coves and visits mom everyday and they know her by name and have snacks and stickers for her. The house keeper has been amazing with us and our daughter. She’s coming by so frequently to clean the room and take out the trash we absolutely love her. The whole team on the second floor are a special kind of nurses the ones that you know your safe and everything is going to be ok. Thank you LND for taking care of us this entire time
You know it’s bad when the food is the best part about your stay. I was admitted for appendicitis, multiple nurses told me that they would probably end up removing my appendix. I waited all night to speak with the surgeon in the morning, only to find out that they will not be removing my appendix, but will have to call in another specialist, to have a more thorough look at what’s going on. I was very frustrated as this contradicted everything I had been told at the ER, (that had my appendix not been swollen I would have been sent home). The staff has horrible communication with each other, nothing seemed to be documented in my chart, and even after all the procedures and tests had been run and the treatment plan turned out to be antibiotics (big surprise) I still could not get a straight answer on when my approximate discharge date and time would be. Overall would not recommend for care or emergency services. I felt that the tests run were unnecessary and the doctors did not care for me as patient. While I understand it was a holiday weekend, I feel my discharge was delayed unnecessarily
Almost Didn't even go into the emergency because every. Time I do they send me home but I decided to go and it's a good thing. I did because I needed surgery so I waited in the emergency room for about 8 hours. Finally got put into a room and then my surgery was scheduled at 4 and didn't happen until 7. In the whole time I have not eaten anything sent 11 PM the night before. So when I was out of surgery I asked if I could have something to eat. They told me no that I had to wait for the doctor to approve it so I waited and waited and waited and then finally they told me. That I couldn't have anything to eat until I went to the bathroom. So I went to the bathroom and then I told them. I went and they didn't believe me and wouldn't give me any food and by now it had been about 24 hours and I told them I. Was going to check myself out since they wouldn't feed me and I did did so it was not a pleasant experience for me. And I'm not really sure how I feel about this hospital. The surgery I had last time to repair an ulcer in my stomach led to me having to have this surgery.
I walked in and up to the registration. They took me in to get my vitals after a few questions and I was escorted to an exam room within 5 minutes of walking in the door. I had an allergic reaction to poison oak and wanted a steroid shot. ( I have to get them) After maybe 15 minutes a PA came to see me and took one look and wanted to give me a steroid shot. Shocker. Normally i have to convince them to give me one. I was so impressed that she knew this was a real thing and not just me whining. I was THRILLED with my visit. Couldn't have gone better. Well other than my dumb primary care physician not having an opening for a MONTH.. forcing me to go to the emergency room. Which in hind sight was perfect. The only reason for 4 star is because the exam room cubicle doors are a filtered glass. I could see the person across from me. Terribly blurry yes, but i know he could see my exposed skin behind when i got my shot! That made me a little uncomfortable. Use white glass or offset the doors!
Anesthesia staff was amazing! They explained everything, they were gentle and kind. All the administration and nursing staff felt like robots. No personal care at all! I truly felt like one of those dummy dolls they practice on in med school. While one nurse was preparing me for the procedure another nurse thought it more important to come in and announce the morning meeting and then continued laughing it up in the hall, then my nurse starts complaining about the meeting! I've never been bothered by my caregivers talking and laughing with each other at their desks, but THAT, bring THAT, whatever THAT is, into my room with you. Don't leave it at your desk! If you can smile and laugh with them, find a way to do it with the other humans you chose to care for, to help in some way. I am human, I am alone, I am scared, I need a gentle hand. What has health care come to, what have we as people come to when we can't even treat people like humans anymore?
I recently went to the Emergency Room at Medical City Alliance. It was after 6:00 P.M. I thought I was having a Heart Attack..I was in fact in Atrial Fibrillation. I have had (5) previous Surgeries and Cannot have any more. They immediately took me to a Room. Within 2 Minutes Eight (8) People were in my room attending to me hooking me up to Monitors, Pulling Blood, Drips in my arm, EKG Machine, Paddles on my chest in case I had a Heart Attack. and Inserted Medicine to counteract the A-Fib. It was SUCCESSFUL..They basically saved me from having a Heart Condition for the rest of my Life. But even then they would not let me leave without Taking Chest X Rays, more Blood and a Cat Scan to make sure i had no Blood clots.. Of all surgeries and Hospitals that I have been in--NOTHING COMPARES TO THE CARE THAT I RECEIVED THAT NIGHT. DR. Chan,Hoi Y was the attending Doctor..But also Thanks to all the Others that made sure my Life is better Today
Horrible experience! I wouldn’t trust this place with my cold dead body. Danielle, my ER nurse was so rude, my second nurse after shift change, Ken, was slightly better but still not comfortable. My Dr was rude and pushy and didn’t take well to me knowing more than him, about my body. He attempted a spinal tap after a consent form was shoved into my face to sign after waking from a 103 degree fever. I was disoriented and I’m had I been in my clear mind, I would have never agreed to that. He was unsuccessful with the spinal tap (no female present) and after having a 28 inch needle shoved in my back, I was completely awake and stopped the procedure. I was then “clinically diagnosed with meningitis and septic” with no supporting labs. I left AMA and went to the medical city of Saginaw location where I trust those guys with my soul.z I can not wait to receive this$100k bill in the mail so I can dispute it, my lawyer is also waiting.
MC Alliance is a great hospital!! This is where my wife delivered our second child, and me as the husband couldn't be more proud of the team that took care of my wife and baby! Our first child was born at MC Arlington, and that was a horrible experience for everyone, would definitely NOT recommend MC Arlington. MC Alliance on the inherent hand provided great care, quality attention, professional attitudes all around towards my wife, baby, and myself! They are a great team at MC Alliance!! Thank you ALL who took time to make sure the 3 of us were all taken care of, from the nurses who took care of my wife and baby, to the doctors who delivered the baby and followed up routinely with mother, to the meal service people who brought my wife food for breakfast lunch and dinner. MC Alliance is definitely the place to deliver babies and the whole family be well taken care of by everyone!! Huge Thank You to Medical City Alliance!!
First time at this hospital ER. Was a little concerned at first, the Kiosk had a sign that scanner didn't work but it did. And despite the wait given my symptoms, the wait wasn't long and I was triaged/tended to fairly quickly all things considered. Waiting Room/Triage Room/Patient Room didn't appear as clean as one would want a hospital facility to be, but they were tidy and the care team (nurses, techs and doctors) were very attentive, timely, and communicated effectively. I was not talked down to by the doctor and in fact, he explained everything in lay terms in a NON condescending manner which I truly appreciated given the gravity of my symptoms and concerns. I felt they did all they could given my situation and was given the appropriate course of care and follow up instructions. Overall, this was an extremly positive ER experience at this facility. I felt cared for and comforted.
The front desk clerk at the emergency room exhibited unprofessional behavior that warrants serious action. When I arrived at the ER unable to speak due to something lodged in my throat, the older black woman on duty ignored my attempts to communicate and pointed me to a self-service kiosk. Despite my urgent condition and attempts to show her what was wrong via text, she displayed an attitude and insisted I input my information into the kiosk. Fearing I might pass out, I reached out to my wife for help, and she arrived promptly to handle the kiosk process. We waited for 15 minutes before a doctor finally examined me thoroughly. I strongly urge you to address the behavior of the older black woman working at the desk during the night shift. It is my sincere recommendation that she be terminated from her position, as her conduct is unfitting for someone working in emergency services.
Worst hospital there is. Doctors do not speak a lick of English and they are so rude! I arrived at 645 via ambulance and didn’t see a dr or speak to anyone till 11 am! My nurse was nice but knew nothing. When Dr sets and Williams actually came to my room they made me feel scared and uncomfortable they did nothing to ease my mind or explain to me. They hadn’t seen me in 4 hours after arriving in an ambulance. They told me they had other people I could wait! We left that hospital where they said I didn’t need surgery and went to wise where they performed surgery and were extremely tentative and wonderful. They also spoke English. I’m off or anyone being themselves but I’m sorry when you work in a business where you are responsible for relaying important information to people who are sick you need to be able to be understood.!
I went in on Sunday morning/Saturday night this week right after midnight. I was stumbling almost unable to walk due to pain in my side, vomiting with diarrhea. They treated me immediately as if I was in serious condition and did a ct scan and ultrasound and found my gall bladder was infected, inflamed, and full of stones. They did emergency surgery the next day keeping me overnight. I firmly believe had I not gone in it would’ve been very different for me this week as I was extremely dehydrated and hungry from not keeping foods down for two weeks. They probably saved my life and I appreciate them greatly from for seeing me right away and not making me wait in the waiting room. I’m finally able to sleep all night long again without pain in my side. Just can’t wait to heal fully and get rid of these stitches in my stomach.
3 STARS/5 STARS - 3 STARS for the hospital. Reasons being: 1 - Inadequate updating on medications and patient info to the point it could cost someone their life. 2 - Assigned doctors not available to authorize treatment in a sudden emergency. 3 - Some (not all) rude, impatient doctors, nurses and staff. 5 STARS for Dr. Weiler Wefaun - professional, attentive, patient and the best doctor I've ever had. Also - 5 STARS for Dr. Wardi and the following NURSES/STAFF who were in the ER and on the PCU floor between June 26th and July 1st: NURSES - Shannon, Jane, Jen, Jackie, Dai, Tammy, Raca, Dahlia and Amy. TECHS - Tommy and Tajeeanna. EXERCISE LADY - Elizabeth. FOOD SERVICE LADY - Tannesia and HOUSEKEEPING LADY - Maria. Many thanx to them and any others who helped save my life and contribute to me getting better.
If I could give this facility a negative star I would. I was sent here from urgent care as I have potential infection in my leg. The urgent care said I needed an ultrasound to rule out things like blood clot and to understand potential source of swelling and redness. She said that they should also do blood work. As this was a bruised swollen area and my leg was only hurt on surface, an X-ray would only show bone issue not tissue issue. Paid my $400 copay to sit in a cubicle with zero privacy, to only receive an X-ray and antibiotics. No running any other tests to rule anything serious out. My leg is on fire and painful. I was told to return if I get a fever. Complete of time and money and I only hope nothing more serious is going on. I had this same issue when I was a child and in hospital for 5 days.
A couple of the nurses are the most unprofessional nurses I've encountered but we had 1 that was amazing. They refused to transfer my teen in county and then said she couldn't be left overnight at the hospital. They called cps and the cops both of which told me I should file a claim against medical city alliance. JpS staff kept my teen and placed her locally with no problems and said medical city was committing medical neglect by not keeping her. Cps said the same thing and that kids in comas don't have parents there 24/7 and medical city should have kept her for me to take my toddler home and come back. Just so every patient knows the nurses sit at the desk and gossip and joke about you (I know because I heard everything going on with multiple patients over the 10 hours we were there)
I'm not sure if this even qualifies as a visit to MC Alliance, but I was seen at Solis in the Medical Building in front of it. Best. Staff. Ever. They made me immediately comfortable. This was my first experience with a mammogram as I just turned 40 so I was a bit nervous, but the second I interacted with them, the nerves went away. The front office staff and the technicians were great. I was warned that I may have to return due to this being my first and they may see unknown abnormalities, but they want to ensure my health is 100% seen to. I do have to return due to something they found abnormal, but they also assured me that I would walk out that day knowing exactly what I am looking at instead of being worried. I would definitely recommend Solis here at MC Alliance.
Don’t see what the other “great” reviews see. Walked in to the ER, told them it was an emergency. My sister was shivering, lips turning blue, and numbness all around. They were slow on helping me get her in. You could see no compassion in their faces as they were trying to help. My sister complained about not being able to breathe and the nurse said “well it’s cause you’re breathing like that”, in the most condescending tone. We came here for HELP and she gave us attitude the whole time she was taking vitals. While walking out the room, she let go of the door as I was pushing my sister out causing the chair to slam against her. Hopefully we never have to come back again, this place is ran by rude nurses who are only there to cash a check with no empathy for others.
The experience started off really well. The nurse that triaged me was so friendly and kind, as well as the financial representative I met with virtually. My concerns came from the rudeness of the nurses at the desk. I approached one to ask where the bathroom was and was met with a rude stare and reaction. This happened twice when I advised a second nurse that I needed further assistance from the doctor who never even examined my leg. An ultrasound tech came in and did a scan of it, but the doctor was ready to dismiss me without even finding the cause of the issues which I am still unclear on. I should have left feeling more confident about my diagnosis but instead felt like they just brushed me off and rushed me out of the room so I wouldn't be an inconvenience.
My experience here was good. The check in process was smooth and the intake person was kind and joyful. The x-ray technician was very kind and very good at her job. She made me feel comfortable and cared for. I was taken back to wait in the waiting room, while the Dr. read the x-rays and told they would come and take me for a sonogram if anything needed further investigation. In a few min, a different technician came and took me to a sonogram room, so I immediately thought "oh no, they found something." Through the masks and her accent it took a few min. for me to understand that nothing was wrong, she just wanted privacy to tell me all was good. I assume all is good since the paper work said come back in a year. No quite sure what I feel about this experience.
I am in beyond disbelief about the service from the moment I walked in to the moment I was discharged. My Dr sent me in to find my iud since she was unable to locate my strings. The lady at the front left me to go see if it was something they could do. The nurse Isaac and PA Whitney Watson were both pretty dismissive of me from the moment they met me. I didn’t want to be there any more than they were anted me there. I got the ultrasound and it showed iud is where it needs to be however my strings are missing. I had to swab myself which I thought was their job? I asked what do I do about not having strings and she said “can’t remove in your own. Which I responded with I know but I need to be able to check it and she seemed annoyed with me. Worst service ever!
I went to this hospital with a severe cough and my lungs would ache every time I cough, he sent me home with a cough suppressant ,my lungs are killing me and I was short of breath, upon the discharge paperwork it clearly stated I was getting an antibiotic. When I got to the pharmacy I was told that the doctor revised the prescriptions and didn’t inform me. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone and I surely wouldn’t let Dr Artur Pawlowicz take care of you. He clearly doesn’t care about you or your health. If I could give zero stars I would. He didn’t seem to care and it felt like he wasn’t concerned if I went home and died. I am also going to dispute the bill when I get it as I don’t feel like they did their job to be paid.
I had a great experience delivering my first baby in alliance hospital. All the staffs are very caring and kind. They went above and beyond! I specially want to thank nurse Mia and Madison from labor and delivery. She is a great nurse. I love her. She help me a lot in my labor process. I also want to thank nurse Cheery, Michelle, Sandra and Haley from postpartum and nursery. They helped me and my newborn so much with love and care. They always came and checked me and my newborn to make sure we are fine. I would definitely visit this hospital again if I ever plan to have another baby in future. Thanks to Dr. Walter for a great care! Thanks to all amazing staff members. I would recommend the Medical City Alliance.
I came here on Valentine's Day with what I thought was "just an asthma attack". After a few hours of getting quality care in the ER, I was admitted to the 3rd floor Med/Surg unit. I received decent care while I was there. While I was there I had a nurse named Shona who really took her time to listen to me and make sure I was being well cared for. She even made sure my wife had clean linens, so she could stay over night. Shona is a shining example of a caring professional nurse and I wish her well. Obviously tho, by my 3 star rating, there are things that could be improved and I have shared my concerns with the leadership here. They took the time to listen so they could get a grasp of what I was saying to them.
Horrible service We waited for 3 hours in a tiny room that didn't even have an actual hospital bed. I had to ask the staff numerous times just for bare necessities for my sick daughter. And they ended up prescribing her antibiotics that are giving her side effects that are causing her to diarrhea even more than before. I hate this place and will never come here ever again. Also the PA who diagnosed my daughter refused to give her IV fluids even though she was clearly dehydrated from having the stomach flu for 3 days. So now i might have to go to different hospital just to get her properly treated since she's now even more dehydrated from the type of antibiotics they prescribed her.
The facility was clean, the doctor was nice. The nurses left something to be desired. I left there feeling the exact way I felt when I came in. I was so disappointed. I sat and cried for over half an hour in my car. I suffer from depression/anxiety and panic disorder. I think it was very unprofessional and unsafe to let me leave in that particular condition. Luckily my mother wasn’t far and was able to come get me. The instructions upon leaving were “if you still feel this way in 24 hours, feel free to come back.” Why? Why would I come back to a place that did absolutely NOTHING for me. However, I can guarantee both me and my insurance will get a big fat bill. I’m so disappointed.
Your staff and the facilities were excellent. I do have one difficulty that I must share. In the paperwork I received at discharge, it was noted that I had an allergy to oxycodone. Despite this notation, my pharmacy received a prescription for oxycodone/acetaminophen. (That prescription was noted on my papers.) When my pharmacist pointed this out to the hospital, she was instructed to issue it anyway. Eventually, a prescription for tramadol 50mg was substituted. You might want to review the procedures that created this confusion. In my case, it would have caused inconvenience of hives treatable with benzedrine. For another, such may not be the case. Russ
Recently broke a hip and came here because it was close by. Loved the ER, loved the nurses and patient care techs. Everyone. Surgeons and operations staff have been great: kind, caring, attentive. Everything you’d expect and want. 5 star place for sure. Couldn’t recommend it enough!!! They answered the questions. Even if they couldn’t know for sure due to me asking too early. Love it. I can not recommend anyone specific due to all of them have been great!! Thank you ER group. Thank you OR Group. Special thank you to the 5th floor (East end) nurses, patient care techs, EVS staff, PT and OT staff. You guys/ladies are the best!!
The staff was amazing. They treated me so well. From the start of my entry til the time I left. Both of my nurses were so calm and reassuring as well as the doctor. Even the guy that came by to do my registration was amazing. I’ve never been to a hospital where all the staff was this great. Everybody’s attitude was superb! They explained in detail everything they were doing and going to do. I left there feeling way better than I did when I came and my pain meds hadn’t even kicked in yet. Lol overall if I could, I’d give this place ten stars! I’d definitely come back to this place a thousand times and recommend others to go.
I had a really disappointing experience at Medical City Alliance. It started at the beginning with the attending medical professional not listening to me. I had pain up my leg, however he did not x-ray my leg, he only x-rayed my foot and my ankle. Without consulting me, he prescribed medication on-site that I was not able to take. The nurse and myself conveyed my inability to take such medication and he continued to prescribe this to an external pharmacy. The nurse was good and attentive. I had suspected I was misdiagnosed. This was confirmed with a consult to an orthopedic professional.
The experience was great except for one incident and that experience was unacceptable. Because of the one incident, I will only give a 4 star rating. Its amazing how one incident can leave an indelible impression and take down an otherwise perfect hospital stay. When I worked in a hospital such an incident would have gotten me terminated without question. Its sad because everything from admitting, the doctors, anesthesiologist and the nurses that work so hard to care for you were fantastic and I will still highly recommend. Its all about the care and customer service.
Last Saturday on October 1 I had to go to the ER with a broken finger and busted nail. Within five minutes I was moved to a small cubicle where the nurse came in and got all my vitals and information needed. The patient registration lady was excellent! Funny and very personable. Well, this goes to the nurses and doctor too. They all were great people to work with. This is the second time I had to go in this Emergency room for different reasons and I have nothing but great experiences so far! Keep up the great work all of you. Thank you for all you do!!! ❤️
My fiancé went in for excruciating knee pain and did not have an good experience with the staff here. He was unable to walk and had to express over and over how much pain he was in and got very little help, and had to ask repeatedly for a CT scan. While I understand a specialist is able to do more, it was the weekend and the ER was his only option. They didn’t even wheel him out to the car when it was time for him to leave. He was treated very carelessly and not taken seriously, which is very disappointing. I would not recommend coming here.
I would like to share that I was greeted by a lady at the entrance that helped me through all aspects of my visit to the hospital. She took me to registration, notified labs to get me and did the same for EKG. Once completed, she made sure that I did not need any additional assistance. This lady was NOT behind a desk, but made herself available to all patients entering the hospital. TOP NOTCH service! I wish ALL hospitals had this lady... You have set the bar for having a concierge in hospitals. #greatvisit #notadrearyplace #greatservice
Update 5/2023: delivered my 2nd son at Medical City Alliance recently. My experience was just as good as the first. Original review 2021: My delivery experience at Medical City Alliance exceeded my expectations. Every day time and night time nurse in Labor & Delivery were highly knowledgeable and respectful. They treated me with kindness and dignity. My health, my needs, and my wants were taken seriously as well as the care for my baby. Mother and baby bonding was encouraged and given. I would deliver here again without any hesitations.
After reading the reviews, I don't think that I was at the same hospital with the reviewers. The nurses who were helping me most of them were not the same as most of the reviewer are saying. Worst ER service visit. It's wasn't used to be like how it's was when I was there the first time. Most of the nurses from my visit are terrible. Will not be going there again if I have to go to the ER. Hopefully, I don't need to in the near future. Should have gone to Texas Health Care. Long but the doctors and nurses there are way way much better.
I wish I knew the name of the Doctor who took care of me at the Saginaw ER location on December 9th (early morning). Although it would have been very easy to blow off my symptoms as muscular, flu-like, etc, he didn't do that. He went above and beyond (in my experience), immediately ordered a CT Scan, and found that I had blood clots in both lungs, very possibly saving my life. I am very thankful that in this day and age of overworked doctors, nurses, and techs, that he took the time to consider every possibility. I am very grateful!
My fault for using HCA. We were there for the kids trick or treating when I started having what felt like severe anxiety attack couldn't shake. Chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness. Anyways left feeling worse than I went in. Heart rate 30-40's, which is apparently why I felt bad, but "anxiety does that". My fault for going here. It was the HCA Medical City in VA that not only didn't treat a seizure eval properly, but gave me c diff. Long story short, take the drive to THR Alliance - top notch and thorough.
My overall experience was good and most of the staff was friendly as well as responsive. The pharmacy seemed a little slow in getting medication in a timely manner but conditions and service were excellent. The staff was upbeat professional and personable. The doctors were quick but made fairly regular updates. I only wish my medical care plan or status was updated or told to me more regularly. Sometimes I didn't know what was going on and the nurses were doing there best to figure it out for me. Thank you .
I went in for abdominal pain, turns out I had appendicitis. I got there later in the evening so I spent the night and the next morning surgery was planned to take my appendix out, I was discharged later in the afternoon. From the moment my husband and I walked through the ER doors to the moment we left was a great experience. We had no wait getting into a room in the ER and all test results came back fast. Every staff member was so kind and helpful the whole time I was there. Highly recommend this hospital.
Medial City really take care of their patients. I recently had surgery about 7 days ago to get a tumor removed and I was only there for 3 days and couldn't ask for a better staff on all shifts. Not only did they do a good job in caring for me but they also took good care of my wife while she was carrying for me. So I can't just give praise to just one person because they all deserve to be praised. This is a wonderful hospital and I truly recommend them to anyone... thanks you guys and my name is Perry....
Absolutely awful experience. I went in to the ER barely able to walk, and they were extremely unhelpful, they mis-diagnosed me, and refused to listen to my doctor; who has privileges at that hospital. The nurse practitioner was extremely unprofessional and their solution was to pump me full of pills and send me on my way. No imaging done, and they refused to do imaging. I will never ever step foot in that hospital, and if you value your health, I suggest you find another facility to treat you.
I'm from a different city, finding a doctor that I liked and felt comfortable with, has not been easy. I decided to try G.I Alliance. I'm glad I did. The staff is great and are always willing to assist. The 2 Doctors I am seeing, are great. They are hands on, take the time to sit and discuss any questions or concerns I have regarding my health and treatment. I was skeptical about finding another Doctor like the one I had back home, but I have. I highly recommend G.I Alliance
Unless you have a life threatening emergency, I’d would recommend going somewhere else. Got admitted into a backroom filled with 8 office cubicles for a migraine, fatigue, and numbness in multiple parts of my body to the point where I can barely open my eyes or walk. No IV, sensors, or medical bed. Just a chair in an empty office cubicle. Was offered Benadryl, Zofran, Toradal, and a liquid steroid. Released within a hour. “Sorry there is nothing we can do for you here.”
My wife had a full knee replacement on Wed the 12th. now today is Mon the 17th and we still have zero physical therapy scheduled. The staff was super friendly but everything above the nurses was super unorganized and very unprofessional. I would not recommend having any surgical procedures at this facility. Not to mention they put the handicap parking out farther so they could put a full roll of charging stations closer for the electric cars. That just blew my mind.
This was my first visit with Medical city since I moved to Texas. I must say that from the time I entered the build to the exit was Amazing. My check in person Mrs T, went over and above expectations. The RN’s Alize and Maranda I think their names were. Just fabulous. I don’t like going to the hospital but if I have to this location will be my first choice. I truly felt heard and cared for. Thank you Medical City Alliance for hiring staff who cares for others. ❤️
The medical staff and nurses were pleasant and prompt. However, the decisions made by the ER doctor go against basic diagnostic logic and made the trip (and cost) completely pointless. They also did not bother to ask my medical history, kind of a great diagnostic tool to simply overlook. If you're bleeding profusely or have a broken bone I'd say go here, but if you are having any issue that is not visibly obvious as to the necessary treatment, go somewhere else.
Some of the nurses were amazing and some other ones seems rude or not talking much. Housekeeping never went once to clean my mother's room. I'm so mad and disappointed of the service at this hospital. In another hand the doctor discharged my mother while having her high blood pressure of 198/92. What kind of doctor is he? There's a reason as to why I'm having to do this survey, right? I hope this gets reviewed and makes the right changes. We were not satisfied.
Surgery patient...Had issues with my IV and it took several people to get a new one placed and then it couldn't be used for blood draws. My catheter was not place correctly either and the nurse kept telling me to drink more water but it wasn't going anywhere but my bladder. Every time I asked a nurse a question I was answered with I don't know and they never tried to find out info for me. The staff was nice enough though just seemed like inexperienced.
I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I was called back after checking in at the kiosk. I left off a star due to waiting longer for the physician to actually enter the room. All providers were nice and approachable with sympathy towards my situation. Overall, I would definitely utilize this facility again if the need should unfortunately arise again. All other hospitals in the area did not seem to have good reviews which is why I chose Alliance.
They were quick and efficient which was great but I felt like it was all about getting me out of the room to move on to the next thing. Not informative on my issue of what it could be just if you continue to have problems you need to go see this doctor. The doctor didn't even sit down to go over the ddx. We had to ask if my issue could be this or this. The response was it could be. No, not that. Didn’t elaborate on anything on my issue.
I'm here right now, and this place is lovely to be a hospital. Nurses are A1 and sweet as peaches. The wait wasn't long, getting a drip while waiting for results to ultrasound and I'm watching Endgame... Nice Update, was here recently and they found a blood clot in my lung. Had yo spend yhe night,I was really scared but the nurses were awesome. The doctors are wonderful and they seem to to be very enthusiastic about your recovery!!!
Very clean facility. Helpful staff. Inspiring interior design. Spacious floor plan with easily self-guided directions. Emergency room facilities has innovated the check-in process eliminating long lines. Whether visiting loved ones in the hospital or arriving as an in-patient; high standard of bedside manner were consistent. Ongoing improvements and renovations are evidence that patient quality and process efficiencies are important
Delivered here. By far the best nurses and doctors! They took amazing care of me and baby and were constantly checking on me to make sure I was doing okay. They were very clear about the options I had for my newborn and were just all around wonderful. I had several nurses through my stay and they were all fantastic, and Vickie in the nursery was super sweet and knowledgeable and treated our baby with such care and compassion.
I had my first baby at MCA and hands down the best medical workers at this hospital. Dr Kodeih is such a wonderful and walks through everything. Nurses were amazing, they kept coming back very 15-20 minute and asked how I was doing. Thank you Nurse Allison, donna, hailey and also to lactation nurse Wendy. Thank you all so much for going above and beyond and making sure we were okay. You’re all gem. Highly recommend for L&D.
Upon entering the emergency room had to self check in and staff was just talking among them selfs a lady walked in and asked for some assistance with her mother and they told her the wheelchair is over by the entrance. And anther gentleman came in with symptoms of having trouble breathing the staff stated ok sir can you go sign in and walked off. So someone in waiting room helped him. What are the staff being paid for.
Total thyroidectomy with overnight observation. Wound up being here 9 days due to complications not caused by the doctors or staff. The nurses are mostly next-generation since the pandemic. The entire staff took exceptional care of me. It's refreshing to see all of these young adults (nurses) stepping in after the pandemic. I don't want to be hospitalized again. But in the event I am, it will be Medical City Alliance.
From the ER to being admitted, my care team took care of me and explained any questions I had. The nurses, techs, doctors and of course the wonderful people who brought me food and juices; were outstanding and made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. It was unfortunate that I had to go in, but if I find myself in a similar situation again, I will definitely return. Thank you for treating me so nicely!
I want to greatly thank everyone who made it possible for our baby to be in the best possible state of health from birth until the day we left this hospital : Catalina, Laura, Jenny, Britney, Heather, Liz, Holly, Michelle, Tegan and Victoria, thank you guys for everything great job and dedication and passion, and for all that see this review I’ll recommend this place with my close eyes %
The staff here do not know how to provide proper care to pregnant people. Women are not incubators, you know that right? They are not vessels. They're people and deserve the same decent and humane medical care you would give to any other human being. If you're currently pregnant and on Medicaid, do yourself a favor and stay away from this hospital. They'll likely kill you with their negligent treatment.
WORST hospital I have ever been to ! Some of the hospital staff were great not ALL . I was there 2 days recorded my whole experience RIDICULOUS I really thought I was being pranked . DR.DIETER WEFAUN is the worst shouldn’t have his DR anything ! If it’s others HOSPITAL IN YOUR AREA GO DO NOT MAKE THIS YOUR GO TO HOSPITAL . MEDICAL CITY ALLIANCE YALL WILL BE HEARING FROM ME . Didn’t deserve the one star
Medical City Alliance exceeded my expectations in the care that they provided me and my newborn. I am a first time mom and did not know exactly what to expect when I began my induction process. From admission to when I left the hospital, the nurses and full team of labor and delivery staff were great. Thank you for a great experience as we look forward to this new chapter with our little one.
First of all I have them my primary care doctor’s name and they sent my records to my old doctor. That is a violation of my privacy. I also had a mass on my liver that no doctor discussed with me and it wasn’t on their discharge notes. The CT scan indicated I definitely needed a follow up. I told them my vein was right and they kept jamming the dye into it and it swoll up like a baseball
This is the best ER - hands down! I have had to go a couple times of year for a reoccurring issue. They are on top of it every time. If they’re busy, they’re taking blood, getting your urine sample, your vitals etc. ahead of time so they can start running labs before you get to your room. They are fast, really listen to your concerns and give reliable treatment. I recommend to everyone!
Very uncaring. I couldn’t walk due to a knee injury and when they brought me back to the room via wheelchair the lady stopped me at the door. When I tried grabbing my crutches I accidentally grabbed the sliding door and fell into the wall and people began laughing. Very degrading and uncaring staff. They continued to call my injury “chronic knee pain”. Would avoid at all costs.
The whole experience from check-in through discharge was very detailed and personalized. The Check-in representative gave great information to assist and get my processed moved along. The nurses assigned were caring and attentive to my husband and his needs. The doctoral staff each took their time to address my husband and cater to his unique situation. We received great care.
Very disappointed with the lackadaisical attitude of the nurses and doctors in dealing with my wife’s existing medication. While we kept on asking for them it took over a day for them to administer. The lack of blood pressure meds now has her blood pressure erratic. They say their goal is to make you feel better but this was not the case on this visit! Extremely disappointed!
On August 16th, 2023 my son was admitted to Medical City ICU. The staff, LD & Fiona were beyond amazing with their care, honesty and lastly comfort. They were determined to save my son. Unfortunately, we did lose him but they were so comforting and amazing through it all. It takes special people to be in an ICU Unit and I can't say enough about the staff of Medical City.
My visit to Solis Mammography was amazing. The staff treated me like family, so sweet and kind. On another note, my sister was recently in the ICU at this hospital. The staff again was so sweet, kind and caring. I have to give them all snaps for how well they treated my sister. They cried when she passed. They truly care about their patients. Much love to them all.
Medical City Alliance was outstanding. They communicated with us clearly and frequently. The tests/imaging needed were very promptly done. We had to have my mom transferred because the GI specialist was at another hospital. The staff updated us every 10-15 minutes as we waited for the transfer. They were all very kind and compassionate. Thank you all!
Excellent till discharge. Dr said between 9 and 10 next day. Turned out 1:00. I know it’s not specific to this hospital (my husband was in and out of Baylor all saints for 3 years befor passing and happens every time) but the waiting for this and then that gets frustrating. But the staff was wonderful. Caring and also very up beat and friendly.
From day one I was treated with total kindness and respect. I came in through the ER and was admitted the same day, had surgery the next as well as spending 5 days in recovery. I never found any nurse, Doctor or any other staff who was anything but perfesional, friendly and always tended to my personal needs. I would definitely recommend MCA.
Medical City Alliance is phenomenal. The ER is fast and filled with a knowledgeable staff. The hospital is even better! I’ve had my baby there and a recent surgery and both time have been amazing. The nurses are the sweetest and make you feel well taken care of and safe. I will always choose Medical City Alliance for my medical needs.
Wouldn’t return to ER . The guy was Laughing & having personal convo while placing my iV , the catheter was so uncomfortable because of this . it was overall just a very weird vibe . I repeat , would NOT return to this ER . Idk about the rest of the hospital. But I promised myself before leaving the parking lot I would never return …
The staff are always very professional and efficient. The offices and rooms are super clean. I have been there on three different times over two years and I am never disappointed. At a time when you are unsure of yourself medically it is reassuring to have the DR, nurses, techs, and support staff all dedicated to your treatment.
Due to the lack of either knowledge or care the ER staff, labor and delivery staff and the OB’s affiliated with this location have, I had a hemorrhagic stroke three days after having my baby due to postpartum preeclampsia. Now the records we have been requesting for nearly 4 now months are both incorrect and partially missing.
I came in after fainting and getting a laceration on my head. The tests were administered quickly, kindly and professionally. I had to get stitches, and they were given as easily and painlessly as possible. My medical team put me at ease during a very scary time, and I thank them for that. I highly recommend this facility.
The doctor's and nurses were exceptional! I was treated with excellent care. They did everything to find out what was wrong with me. I've never had such a better experience than I did at Medical City Alliance! Shout out to Justin my nurse who was the best! Also to everyone who was a part of my care that day , thank you !
I had an outpatient procedure. Registration was different, but went quickly and easily. The Tech I worked with was very nice and knowable. She made sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was happening. The whole experience at Medical City Alliance was very pleasant. I hope my follow ups are there as well.
I was misdiagnosed, pressured to get a vaccine I didn't want (or need), and pressured to get an IV because ‘its standard procedure’ which actually caused a serious medical issue I am still dealing with a week later. The Dr. didn't actually listen to me and my concerns but had her own opinions no matter what I said.
I can’t say enough of the level of care that my Mom and I received from the nurses on the 3rd Floor. Kind, friendly, caring, and honestly not enough could be said for what they provided to us. Thank you all so much for going and above to ensure my Mom’s visits were the best hospital visits we’d ever experienced.
Went in in the middle of the night with a severe migraine that felt like a brain aneurysm! There’s was no wait, they got me right back and started treatment right away! The dr saw me immediately and the nurse I had was kind and fast! So glad we went to this hospital over the others. Clean, fast, and helpful!
You usually never say this about a hospital visit, but it was a great experience. Hospital staff seemed to care, intake was quick, nurses explained what they were doing, doctor was thorough and gave the big picture. Great experience! Facilities were clean and neat. Best medical experience I have ever had.
I drove myself into the ER complaining about chest pains and in 4 hours I had a stent in my heart and was feeling great. I had a heart attack. They were so fast and efficient, polite and kind. Not a thing to complain about and I feel very grateful for their efforts. Thank you Medical City Alliance!
Staff is excellent and the hospital itself is very clean. From top to bottom, the care I received was amazing (I had a spinal fusion surgery with Dr. Jose Reyna). This was an exceptional experience and I have had my fair share of stays in hospital. I would rate this at the top of the heap.
I have ALWAYS loved this ER. I've never had a problem with the staff until today. Ariel the RN in the ER is a total *****. She's rude as hell and makes your hospital visit unpleasant. The 1 star is for the other staff I encountered. They were great, but all it takes it that 1 bad apple.
My husband was pushed off to another Medical City hospital because they weren’t able to handle his issues. Medical City Denton was no better, sent my husband home after 3 weeks only to have him go into septic shock after 3 days. NEVER EVER GO TO A MEDICAL CITY HOSPITAL
My Labor and Delivery went really well! Every Medical City I’ve been to is pretty top tier and this one is no different. So I’m glad I had my baby here, all the nurses I encountered with my few days of being there were so helpful and nice to me, my baby, and my guest.
The staff there got me back there very quickly. I was tested and presented with results (6 broken ribs), given follow up care and released. The PA the Doctor and all the nurses were all working as a team on me it was great to have such thorough care. Thanks again.
Very helpful folks at check in. Minimal paperwork. Not a long wait in the ER and was not waiting in my room as they got to me quick. Best hospital experience I've ever experienced whether it was me or my kids moments in the ER. Professional in all aspects.
It's always a great experience when I get my mammogram. The staff is very nice and the place is clean and efficient. I always feel at ease. However I got an email several days ago and am still unable to get my results. This hasn't ever happened.
Except for the bed (not comfortable) everything was excellent. The personnel were very helpful and experienced. I was well taken care of. The doctors were very informative to my conditions, I am grearly appricative of all the nurses and doctors.
Years after being a client thes Yahoo's allowed my data to be stolen. Rather than prevent the theft they sent me a "Tough Luck Charlie" letter. Told me to "Go Protect Yourself" because we are clueless and can't afford good staff or security.
