This service is outstanding! Everyone who is a tourist in Florence should know about it! My husband got sick with gastroenteritis and we desperately needed to see a physician for antibiotics. This service’s information was given to me by a pharmacy at the train station and I am so thankful to have found them! They have in call medical services 24 hr and a walk in clinic right at the heart of the city by the Duomo. You have to call the general number if you are calling after hours and then another number mentioned in the phone recording for the doctor who is on call. As far as cost, it’s $134 Euros for a home consult and $50 Euros for the consult at the walk-in clinic which is very reasonable for a self pay fee! They also give you an itemized receipt at the end of the consult so you can submit the claim to the insurance company in the USA for reimbursement. As far as the medical care itself, it was excellent! Dr. Anna Sara Longo was outstanding! She spoke perfect English, had great bedside manners and was very knowledgeable. I hope you are never in need of medical attention while in the beautiful city of Florence but, if you are, please call them! They truly were so convenient and outstanding in every possible way! I would give Dr. Silberhorn more than 5 stars if google let me. While on vacation in Florence my son had a minor vespa accident but we wanted to make sure it wasn't more serious and get him on the path to quick recovery. Dr Silberhorn paid a house call to our Air B&B and checked him over to make sure everything was ok, then patched him up, loaded up her bags, and ran off to her next appointment. It was amazing and cost a fraction of what medical care back in the states would have cost us, plus she came to us. If you need a doctor in Florence, you've got to call Medical Service Firenze! PS, thank you to all the other reviewers here. I wasn't sure what to do but after reading all the positive reviews of this service, I decided it was a good way to go and it definitely was a good call. Thanks!

Very good non-emergency medical service. Dr. Silberhorn saw me at 7pm after I called for an appointment at 4:45pm. She was very attentive to my concerns. Took her time to check my symptoms. Explain to me her findings and the medications to take for treatment. Spoke good English. The fee was reasonable and they take credit cards. Great location in middle of the old town Florence tourist area half a block from the Duomo. It was a little challenging to find the right address since there is only a small plaque on the left side of a big door in a big old building. Second floor with elevator. Would highly recommend this place for tourists in town in need of fast and reliable medical services. P.S. The medication prices were very cheap compared to prices in the USA.

Brilliant Service. My partner had an extremely painful throbbing ear ache which wasn’t getting any better after with the ear drops we’d got from a pharmacy the day before. We arrived at the clinic out of hours at 4:30pm in a Saturday afternoon and called the number, we were directed to another number (handy hint if you are using a non Italian phone put a +39 at the front of the number given in the message). The doctor arrived within 15 minutes of us calling and provided a very through consultation. His English was great and he had a fantastic manner. We got the prescription for everything we needed and he let us know where the closest pharmacies were. Cheap for out of hours service at €70. Would highly recommend if you need a doctor urgently in Florence.

Developed a rather nasty sinus problem in Florence, which I was trying to power on through but eventually became unable to enjoy my holiday. A pharmacy gave me the details of Medical Service. You need to call ahead, but they saw me the same day. I am so grateful to Dr Smorlesi. He was absolute brilliant. Wrote me a script for what I needed and sent me on my way. I’m already feeling a lot better. He saved my time here! Perfect English, great sense of humour and inexpensive. The consultation was 50 euros. Cannot recommend this practise enough!

Son not felt well late afternoon. Googled and found Dr. Smorlesi from the Medical Service Florence. Called their number and the office was already closed. The greeting asked to call another number which I did and spoke to Dr. Smorlesi. He came over to our Airbnb apartment in about an hour and took care of my son. He spoke good English and appeared to be very knowledgable. The fee was reasonable as well. Glad that I found him.

This is an incredible service. Dr. Smorlesi answered right away and came out to our rented flat in the middle of the night. He arrived in 30 min with everything in hand to diagnose and treat the issue, including injections. His English was perfect and he has an amazing bedside manor. The care provided was spot on, timely, and very economical. This team is spot on if you ever need a physician while in Florence.

My wife had anaphylaxis in Rome. We gave her the epi-pen, but needed to see a Dr. for a refill once we got to Florence. US consulate recommended them. The doctor saw my wife as a walk-in, and we got the epi-pen prescription filled at a local pharmacy. Great service. We did have to pay in cash for the Dr. visit. If I recall it was 40-50 euros.

I saw Dr A. Linari this morning who was wonderful. There was no one there when I arrived this morning at 8.10 as the clinic doesn’t open until 11am. I was able to call the number provided and spoke to Dr. Linari who came and saw me at the clinic within half an hour of speaking to her on the phone. Quick, friendly and thorough service!

While on vacation my daughter came down wiht a sore throat. We did a walk-in to visit this Doctor Smorlesi. He was very responsive on the phone and allowed us to visit his office immediately. He conducted a Covid Test and exam of her tonsils, directed us to a local pharmacy and the charge was very reasonable. He was terrific!

I had a severely clogged left ear which was extremely uncomfortable and disorienting. I walked into the Service and was lucky enough to have Dr. Silberhorn examine me and clean out my ear relieving a vast amount of the discomfort, She also gave me helpful prescriptions so that my ear has continued to improve. Girlfriend and I felt sick on our trip and suspected it was strep throat. Doctor diagnosed us very quickly and prescribed medication and local pharmacy. Very professional, quick, and kind. Excellent English proficiency as well. I recommend this practice to any tourist in the area.

Really fast and good service for expats/tourists! For 80 euros they are doing house visits which I think you can sure get back from your insurance at your home country. Special thanks to Dr. Smolesi, he was really kind, fluent in English and did a great job!

Travelling from Australia and we saw Dr Smorlesi as I required a prescription for antibiotics for a chest infection. They took us in even without an appointment and saw us within 5 minutes of waiting. Would highly recommend for travellers.

Fantastic. Doctor and receptionist both spoke English. Walked in within a couple of minutes of arriving. What more could you want? On 2nd floor with lift.

I scheduled an appointment for the next day. The doctor took me a few minutes early. His questioning and exam were thorough; I was out in 15-20 minutes.
