I had the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a walk in here. I waited in the waiting room for 5 minutes before they sent me to the tiny room without windows for over 2 hours. An hour and a half in the receptionist asked me for my name ( it probably had been so long that she forgot my name completely) then when a doctor finally came to see me it wasn't even my doctor it was a different one who I had to explain my whole thyroid issue and history to, and just ended up doubling my prescription and sent me home. I didn't even get a paper to go get blood work again for when my medication runs out, so I guess I have to go back and get a paper, to get blood work, to then go back and get another piece of paper that increases my prescription again. This clinic has been such a huge waste of time for me and gave me no comfort in helping me with my newly diagnosed thyroid issue, the receptionist also needs to be friendlier and more personable especially while your waiting people in a tiny room for over 2 hours. She didn't even tell me my doctor wasn't in, didn't tell me how long I'd need to wait, no offer for water, nothing. I would have preferred her let me wait in the waiting room or leave and get a coffee. Absolutely horrible way to treat people. I understand there are many cuts to health care right now, and times may be tight, doctors might not make it in and be sick, but that is no excuse to treat me like they did here. To think I did tons of research to choose such a disrespectful place.

Don’t believe what their Medicare website says about hours and honestly don’t trust the updated by business hours that are posted on google. I just pulled in thinking they close at 8. It’s 6:42pm and the doors are already locked. I tried calling them at 6pm to see if they were accepting walk-in patients and the phone just rang and rang and rang. I tried again 5 minutes later before I just drove over here. Literally got to the door and it’s locked. Patient inside said “closed”. So I called again it rang and rang and rang. I literally see 2 people at the desk. Finally someone picked up at the same time someone was coming out the door. I asked are you closed? She said “yes we close at 7 now”. I said what are you going to do about the patients who just walked in the door? “I’ll tell them”. No word of a lie I saw them fill in the paperwork they accepted the patients. And the lady on the phone ran to the door and quickly locked it. How is that fair? I’m sick. I needed to be seen tonight but I accepted what she told me on the phone. Hopefully when I’m here at 9am tomorrow they will take me first thing to rectify this customer service nightmare. But in all sincerity you should go change the Medicare website that has different hours of operation. I already suggested an edit on google to fix the mistake so it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I have been seeing Dr. Ishfaq as my family doctor for almost a year now, and I am very happy with my experiences with him and his staff. Dr. Ishfaq is a very caring, knowledgeable and professional doctor. He makes me feel like he really listens to me and I never feel rushed. He provides appropriate treatment when needed and quickly refers me to a specialist when necessary. He is very prompt in conducting telephone consultation appointments and even though he's a very busy doctor, I can usually get a phone consult with him the same day. Recently when I called him and said I thought I might have Covid-19 symptoms, he told me to come to his office right away and he would come out to my car in the parking lot and administer a covid test personally!! That is the kind of caring doctor he is! I am so grateful to have him as my GP. His staff are always friendly and professional on the phone and in person. They always greet me with a smile when I come in, and they are extremely helpful with any issues involving appointments, medical forms, and anything else that needs attention. I highly recommend Dr. Ishfaq, he is a great doctor.

Today, due to heavy snowfall and treacherous road conditions, it took me approximately ninety minutes to reach the clinic from work. Arriving at 6:40pm, I was disheartened to find the clinic staff in the process of closing. This was puzzling, as their stated hours of operation should be at 7pm. I persisted in knocking on the door until they open it. I inquired about their early closure, to which they explained that there were already five patients waiting, and they were unable to accommodate any more patients. I explained that my son was experiencing pain and discharge from an ear infection, necessitating immediate medical attention and antibiotics. Despite my pleas, they told me that accepting us would delay their departure from work. This made me confused, if their stated closing time is 7pm, aren't they should have a professional obligation to accept patients regardless of the number waiting. Besides, my arrival time was still 20 minutes before their "closing time". This lack of empathy and disregard for their duty renders them unfit for their roles as medical personnel. Will never go back to this business.

Most disorganized clinic I’ve ever had which is unfortunate because my family doctor here is great. The doctors do no respond to faxes or requests from pharmacies making it difficult to obtain refills, when I called their call centre line (you can’t reach the clinic directly) the call centre told me and I quote “the doctors don’t get paid to respond to faxes so it’s not worth their time”. I then finally was able to speak with my doctor to get a refill and they told me to come pick it up at the clinic, when I arrived the receptionist said they lost it and she can’t print another since the doctor has to write it. It has been 3 weeks of me calling and pharmacies faxing to get my medication renewed. Don’t waste your time with this clinic they don’t genuinely care for their patients

Unknowingly, I had a certain serious disease despite all the clinics I have been, until the day I met Dr Khalid Ishfaq. It was a chance for me to meet him when he detected my serious illness and sent me right to the hospital. Because of him, I escaped death that day. Thank you very much Doctor. And that was not all... Thereafter, by joining his clinic, he found out in me other serious but dormant medical issues that he treated patiently and efficiently. Since I am in Calgary, I never seen such a Dr, compassionate, loving, cooperative and understandable. I highly recommend Dr Khalid Ishfaq to you, people, who want be treated as you deserve. I have never felt so dismissed and uncared for in a medical facility as I did this clinic. I came for a walk-in appointment and the wait time wasn’t bad at all. The doctor came in, did not introduce herself, and did not close the door while she examined me which I thought was incredibly unprofessional. Before she even examined me (which she barely did for the symptoms I had) she “diagnosed” me then tried to prescribe me something that I do not need. I tried to explain my symptoms and she kept talking over me and would not listen. She then tried to tell me “I know you just want antibiotics”, which is actually not what I wanted at all. First and last time at this clinic. If I could give zero stars I would.

Excellent and friendly folks. I booked my appointment over the phone, went in time, and I only waited for 10 mins before seeing the doctor. He listened carefully - a rarity in today's doctors - and went straight to diagnosing my case. When he finished his work, he explained to me what I had, and what was important to me, is that what he explained to me aligned with my own research that I did on the internet before visiting the clinic. He then wrote a prescription, that I filled from the adjacent Shoppers Drug Mart. Convenient. Oh, and I am an out of province patient who was here for the long weekend, and this is one of the best experiences I had with the health care system in Canada. Thank you guys.

Waited for this clinic to open Friday morning, as I was sent home with an awful migraine and this was day 4 for me. I saw the doctor and he was great, but he prescribed me meds in 2 minutes and asked me to stop medicine I had been taking for 5 years with no follow up questions.... My anxiety was so high with this. He then gave me medicine I couldn't afford and the pharmacy contacted him immediately, this was Friday morning before lunch. I still don't have a replacement and it's been 3 days. This doctor asked me to review his business seeing he gave me a doctors note for work free of charge.... But he also gave me no relief for my migraine, as I ended up with no actual help in the end.

A family friend suggested me to see Dr. Ishfaq at medicare westhills location. I have been his patient ever since, he is an amazing doctor. The staff is very helpful and friendly and so is he making every appointment personal. He has a great humor but still very professional. He is very respectful with each visit and has always asked first if I am okay with him listening to my heart rate and lungs. This is something I appreciate and it doesn't go unnoticed. If it wasn't for meeting him and his dedication to help his patients I feel I would of not be where I am today. I am so thankful to have met him. If your looking for a dedicated doctor I would strongly recommend meeting him.

My wife & I have been coming to the clinic for maybe 5 years now.. initially as a walk in but over the course of time we made Dr. Khalid Ishfaq our family doctor.. Doctor has been an amazing human being, works very hard, always patient and accommodating .. We get a sense of assurance when meeting Dr. Ishfaq. Over the years we have seen a lot more activity at the clinic, testament to Dr. Ishfaq's qualities.. At the front desk Harleen is awesome in managing the clients, ensuring smooth flow of patients & when required being stern with unruly patients :-) .. Overall highly recommend the clinic, the other front desk staff are great too like Samandeep.

Very rude receptionist I didn’t feel welcome it was dirty and muggy looking in there there’s a reason why nobody likes to go to this place. I tried to get a check up for me and my newborn daughter the woman was very rude demanded Alberta health card which is impossible to get when she’s five days old . As a new mother it was hard for me to hold my tongue back which is not what I need when I’m trying to look after me and my baby! My best advice I could get the doctor that practices here, fire your receptionist she Single-handedly within 20 seconds made my mind up that I was never going to go to this walk-in clinic again!

Dr Khalid Ishfaq is a good physician. He cares for his patients in the way the would expect. Compassionately, he does it utmost to find the right cure for his patients. Many times he helped me to get through my medical issues. And even today, he continues in the same way... I will never forget what he did for me and my family. I have seen doctors, but Dr Ishfaq is exceptional. If you join his clinic, you will positively experience what I am saying. I strongly recommend Dr Khalid Ishfaq as a physician for you. I shall be calling the AMA personally about this clinic. (And the few five-star reviews are laughable efforts to counter the majority of highly negative submissions, with which l agree.) I was treated with disrespect and as an oversight. I was made to wait three hours due to receptionist incompetence, until it was too dark to drive safely. Their arrogance, including and especially that of Dr. Ovueni (sp?), and incompetence potentially endangered lives, as l was sent home in spite of reassurances l'd be seen earlier. I was sent to drive home 45 minutes in pitch dark, basically impaired. And they didn't care.

Good ol Deborah well came in to get a pregnancy test done seeing that a maternity clinic won’t take me until I did this nonetheless this place closes at 8? Walked in a little after 6 she told me she wasn’t taking anymore patients this lady took one look at me instantly and said that also told me to go to shoppers for a test. Oh my gosh this lady! I was hoping she’d be off or wouldn’t work here anymore but no this rude lady STILL WORKS HERE!! Lol anyway she had no problem helping the 2 not coloured people behind me just fine. Awesome clinic never going here ever again it’s a waste of time every time.

This is the worst clinic i ever went. where u could find this kind of clinic, they open at 9am and the receptionist starts accepting all the patients to register ofcourse. But the WORST part, the patients keep waiting and waiting for the doctor. and finally the doctor arrived at 10am then you have to wait again for 2-3hrs to be called. ( just for a prescription ) they will send u inside the room to wait forever. where could you find like this, the patient will come first before the doctor This was my second time bad experience in this clinic. And i will never comeback

Last night, my son smashed a finger and got a painful black nail. We needed to get the hematoma on his nail drained, and I was worried as we had just gone to another walk-in clinic that blatantly rejected us. But I'm glad they did as we got to come here and receive excellent patient care, starting by the kind front desk lady and then by Dr. KHALID ISHFAQ. Absolutely fantastic! Dr. Ishfaq was incredible. He used a technique that didn't cause any pain to my son when he inserted the needle into his nail, and throughout the short process, he was so amicable and considerate. 100% recommended.

Rude receptionist. Made me feel guilty for not having an appointment even though they take walk ins. Was not informed of the wait. Waited 1.5 hours before being taken to the back - not even a room, a seat in the hallway waiting for a room. Was never informed that I was able to leave while waiting and they could text me when ready. Only found out this information when I overheard the much friendlier receptionist kindly inform others already an hour into my wait. Ended up leaving before being seen by a doctor.

This is my go-to clinic. (Most) Children under 12 are seen first. A full lobby here, with every seat filled will take about an hour. Other walk-in’s were booked out for a week to be seen (not exactly a walk-in). I was seen by Dr. Ishfaq twice. Both times I felt like he had concern for my pain. The second visit (for the same issue) he also wrote a doctors note to the ER for me (perhaps to legitimize the issue? I’m not sure.) My out of pocket cost was $125; then $75 for the second visit. Come here first.

This place is pathetic. They say they are open till 7pm. I showed up at 6:20 pm. Not a single person in the waiting room. I arrive with my 4 year old son who is experiencing severe discomfort and they are turning us away. This is a walk clinic and they are turning away patients at 6:20 pm yet say they are open till 7:00 pm. Where is the logic in any of this? Very disappointed in this clinic. Would not recommend this clinic. Very poor patient interface. 1 star rating is very generous.

Is your receptionist glad she is in Calgary and has a job? You would never guess! She's horrible! I listened to her with patients and on the phone....no ethic whatsoever. I have been an executive secretary, receptionist, and worked with the public for decades.....she needs a night job with no interaction with the public. If you want better ratings, get rid of her....but thank you to the doctor that saw me. Receptionist? get another job! This is not the first time....it's every time.

Dr. Khalid Ishfaq was thorough and empathetic with my care. He promptly diagnosed and devised an effective treatment plan. Reception staff was efficient, well organized and compassionate with all families- caring for a very busy waiting room. I witnessed excellence in triage and all patient's being treated with respect and dignity. In this time of recovery from a pandemic, kindness and superb medical care, go a long way to help all of us to return to medical and overall wellness.

My son went for blood tests while studying in Calgary, we never got back the results nor the necessary prescription because they NEVER answer the phone, or the website forms works. If dr Khalid Ishfaq reads this, please ask your staff to grab the phone and really answer it. They grab it and hang off without even asking who is this. This is a complete lack of respect, there's basically NO WAY to get hold of this place, email or phone, they are sure never to get back to patients.

Dr. Ishfaq has been great since I was first treated as a walk-in patient. I’ve moved my family to this clinic and we have been very happy with the service provided. Dr. Ishfaq recently sent me for further testing due to some symptoms I was having and it turned out to be a serious medical condition. Another clinic I went to previously with the same symptoms didn’t look in to them any further than the visit to their clinic. I would recommend this clinic to friends/family.

The worst experience I have ever had with medical care. The wait was long, which is to be expected. The Dr. Care I would give a zero star if I could. I was not treated with respect, I was not listened to at all. This clinic does not care one bit about your well being. They will prescribe any medication to get you out of their clinic as fast as possible instead of actually getting to the root of the problem. The absolute worst care.

Dr. Ishfaq has been looking after my family ever since May, 2020. He has been patient with all of our questions, and advocated for us for any medical needs. We really enjoy how he explains any medical-based concerns to us. He was also very supportive of my pregnant wife. I highly recommend anyone to visit him for his service. We are thankful of him.

I felt so helpless with my last doctor, but when I went to see Dr. Ishfaq he acknowledged my concerns and he worked with me, so we can find solutions for my health issues. He is very empathetic and kind, which you won’t see anymore in many physicians. Waiting time is long especially on busy days, but the staff do their best to accommodate everyone.

I went to this walk in clinic with an emergency concern and I’m glad I did. Dr. Khalid and the female nurse on duty were both amazing and very concerned with my condition. Even though they were really busy; they took their time to give me proper treatment on site which I think easily took two or more appointments time. I am very thankful to both!

This place is a joke, Clinic said it was opened until 2:00 pm,(Sunday) I arrived with 30 minutes to spare (1:30) and got told no doctors were available although the website said open. Maybe don’t send your staff home 30 minutes before their shift is actually over and don’t have false advertisement on your website. Poor service.

I am new to Calgary, and walked-in to the clinic with an emergency without expecting much. I was welcomed by the staff and received treatment by Dr. Khalid Ishfaq immediately. It was so much relief, so I am thankful to Dr. Ishfaq. I look forward to going to back to register with the clinic as a new patient in the coming weeks.

Very quick service and very welcoming! While visiting Calgary with my family, they were so good at still treating us even since we had out of province coverage and helped us out free of charge! Go to hospital and wait 10 hours and don't go to this clinic. The doctor spent 3 minutes to examine our daughter, and gave her anti-biotics. her situation degraded fast, and we took her to the hospital, and the hospital gave her the proper medicine and told us that the anti-biotics was not the right medicine in her case.

Great experience for my first visit! Visited on November 30th for period delay pills presentation. The front desk is friendly and gave good recommendations. I saw a doctor there today. The African lady is very knowledgeable, I showed her a medication I used previously and she immediately recognized it and she knows it very well, like different doses for different ages. I don't say they have smile services(I don't need that), but my problem was well solved there.

Was 5th in line when it opened. Doctor was 45 minutes late and then didn’t see anyone for another 20 minutes. After being put in a room there was confusion over the order or rooms. Finally left after being there for 3 hours and when I left the receptionist said that my name was not even showing on the list.

I highly recommend this clinic, especially Dr. Ishfaq. Every time I come I am provided with exceptional care from him and his staff. He is very thorough and very pleasant to deal with. He has helped me with many health problems in the past and I have never been disappointed with his course of treatment.

Very good walk in clinic. Open on Sundays, fast non-rushed service. When my wife and I went there, the front desk clerk called in sick, but the Doctor still took patients until he could get a replacement. He was fast, efficient, and didn't rush us. I highly recommend this location.

Disappointed with the misinformation such as office hours. Their website says they are open until 8 pm most days but I was told that's out dated and I should have checked Google. When we arrived at 6:20 pm they were no longer accepting walk ins because they were closing at 7 pm.

The medical staff is very pleasant and polite. At the rehearsal, everything was explained to me, despite my anxiety about the child's condition. The doctor examined us after 30 minutes. and prescribed the necessary medicines. Communication is excellent despite my bad English!!!

I highly recommend Dr Khalid Ishfaq. He provided a diagnosis and treatment plan a week after my initial appointment He listens carefully and is very thorough. He ordered x-rays and an ultrasound to diagnose my issues. I am grateful for his knowledge and professionalism.
