I had a very terrible experience with this tour company. One week before the trip, I emailed to check on the pickup timing and venue but the company kept asking me how long will I be in Melbourne and there was no direct response to my question. I was only informed that there will be no tour going one day before the scheduled trip, leaving me no time to plan for alternative day tours and severely disrupted my travel plans. If not for my constant chase for answer, I would have been very lost. The company did provide refund upon my request but had given no apology at all. After leaving my feedback, I received a nasty email from the company boss that writes: "hi how are you this is Colin may Melb Aust tours managing director I have read your email and disagree with you... 1. you made the booking through book me cause you wanted a discount. 2. we send a request to bookme to get you your money back as I don't want your money .... 3. please speak to bookme 4. we reserve the right to cancel which you failure to do is read the terms and conditions also the bus was just pick up from the work shop yesterday unless you think it's ok for us to drive a bus with a starter motor problem or not safe to drive if this is the case I will be happy to hand your details over to the local government authorities..." I was merely stating my experience as a customer and it is indeed factual that (a) I received no direct response to my question on pick up timing and venue when I emailed to enquire 1 week before the trip (b) I was only informed that the tour was cancelled one day before the trip (c) there is no apology from MelbourneAustralianTours regarding the last minute cancellation even though the company have direct contact with me via email (even till now). The bus starter motor problem was not made known to me. In fact, no reason/explanation was given when I was told the tour was cancelled. And I do not think it is right to threaten customers by mentioning about passing our details to local authorities. While the company reserve the right to cancel the trip anytime, I as the customer, also has the right to share my honest opinion of the experience with this company. The problem I had was not with bookme nor the refund procedure, but with the company's poor attitude and lack of professionalism. And that email further reflects badly on how the company treat negative feedbacks. I sincerely hope that these feedbacks will help the company improve, hopefully get to provide better service to future customers and continue to do well in this competitive tour group industry.

(In response to the owner's response, I will highlight even more that you should NOT BOOK WITH THEM. "Mr. Legal Team", please tell your CEO to go right ahead and take this to court. Not a single thing I said in this review is false and this is just so typical of this touring group's horrendous actions. Throughout this entire situation, as you can see in the two reviews bellow, all they have done in response to their own awful actions is attempt to maintain their image by bribing customers to remove bad reviews and, when that doesn't work, by threatening to "take this to court". You have an awful business model, "Mr. Legal Team". You don't care one bit about your clients. All you care about is making yourself look good and vicitimizing yourself when, in reality, it was my friend who was attacked, removed from the bus and left alone in a strange city. Do not try to spin it any other way. I'm looking forward to seeing you at court.) My review: DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They are absolutely the worst touring company I have ever even heard of. Not only did they physically remove my friend from the bus because they canceled his trip without his knowledge (I assure you, he had done nothing and had merely been on the bus for a second). But they also then attempted to bribe him to remove his review by withholding our group's rightful refund.

You couldn't pay me to book another tour with this thieving, rude, utterly despicable business again. My friend and I booked tickets for a tour, but they forgot to put him on the driver's list and he wasn't allowed on the bus. It was an hour before he heard back from a manager at the company (who, incredibly, was located in Malaysia, meaning they weren't even awake yet when this whole ordeal occurred). They told him (via text!) that it was his fault without providing ANY justification. He had his booking confirmation, credit card statement, and everything. It was irrefutable that they f***ed up, yet they had the nerve to blame it on him, the customer. How are these people in business? They're never getting my money again, and I pray you don't jeopardize your trip by booking with them. You will regret it. EDIT: At the end of the trip, our driver proudly shared that he's a Donald Trump fan. Take that as you will. EDIT 2: The company has threatened to sue my friend due to his review. They have also offered to refund my trip cost if I take down my review.

We were originally scheduled for Thursday, perfect weather but was rescheduled to a rainy, cold Friday. Our tour was cancelled because the van was in the shop, we later heard maybe it was because they didnt have a lot of people going since they combined us with Friday and it still wasn't at max. There was a parade in the city that the driver was aware of, but didnt provide for. We were supposed to be picked up at 1 and we finally got picked up at 4, three hours later. Since we were picked up so late, we missed out on half the tour. We didnt get the chocolate factory, nor did we get dinner. We were also rushed at the animal sanctuary, given 15 minutes to tour the entire place versus the hour advertised. I feel like this tour was a waste of our last day here and also the money spent, since we didnt get to do everything. If we had known our tour was going to start at 4, versus 1, we could have planned for some other things. On a side note, the driver was very friendly

Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff decided to remove me from the tour without informing me, leaving me to arrive at the bus only to find my name not on the roster. The company had knowledge of this, but did not have the basic dignity to inform me of this. After several hours of communication with the company, they finally refunded my ticket. I additionally requested to speak to the CEO, who's correspondences placed blame on myself. Additionally, the CEO attempted to bribe me to ask my friend to remove his negative review of the company. He additionally refused to take additional steps towards determining the source of the error. After I told the CEO I did not appreciate his demand to censor myself, he stopped communication. There are many companies doing tours. I would implore everyone to choose a company who possesses a modicum of respect for the customer.

Locations along Great Ocean Road were just sensational, stunning, photo opportunities galore!! Stopped several times to explore/stretch legs/take toilet breaks/get something to eat. Great Ocean Road Choccy factory was super awesome! Checked out the cute n cuddly koalas chilling out in the trees. Wasn't fussed on the lunch meal at Iluka Motel and Restaurant, bit average, but the icecream @Dooley's definitely made up for it. Richard, our driver, was just brilliant, and it was great to have some local knowledge about where we went as we drove along. 13 days straight doing 90 hours touring with travellers every week, my hat goes off to you Richard! Hope you get a well deserved rest tomorrow. Would definitely consider doing another tour the next time I travel back to Melbourne.

Small issue with te website and my booking that made me almost miss it. That being said: the customer service on the phone is awesome. Our driver was great: the dad of the owner of the company. The road itself is gorgeous and the stops are plentiful and very varied. Lunch and tea is included so it's great bang for your buck! Thanks guys for the tour. 5/5 minus one for the website issue. Highly recommend.

We booked 12 Apostles day trip via them. Prices were competitive and service was good. We got prior notification the previous night on the driver details. Driver Mr Neil was a great guide + driver. He was polite and supportive for the tourists from all parts of the world. Lunch break in Apollo Bay at Fishermen wharf was great. Overall a well recommended tourist service.

Although there was some misunderstanding but I would like to thank Melbourne Australia Tour to take us seeing Great Ocean Road. We have nothing to complain and I must also say that uncle Niel the driver was also nice. Every service delivered was pleasant!. The Phillip Island penguin tour was amazing. We had a great time with the kids. Got to see the famous penguins that make their way to Victoria shores from all the way from Antarctica, truly amazing! I highly recommend Melbourne Australia Tours to anyone visiting Victoria, especially families with kids. Also, the staff were extremely welcoming!

Could have been 5 star review, BUT!!! THE BUS!!! Shocker, in one word. When you spend spend 14 hours on the bus it has to be at least half decent. This was an old rattling thing, with hard seats (no reclining) and ZERO leg room. Suffered every minute in it! Otherwise great tour. Phenomenal tour guide. Great content in Great Ocean Roas Tour.

Went for the one day great ocean drive today. It was a pleasant day tour today. Our tour guide Richard is the best and his jokes and sense of humour is quiet appreciatable.
