It was truly an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the skydeck undoubtedly lies in its mesmerizing glass floor section, an absolute must-see that requires an additional ticket. However, do keep in mind that visiting on a weekend meant we had to patiently wait for approximately 45 minutes before accessing the exhilarating glass floor area. But the anticipation was well worth it! Stepping onto the transparent surface, we were instantly immersed in a surreal sensation of walking on air, gazing down at the sprawling cityscape beneath our feet. It's an absolute thrill for those seeking an adrenaline rush or a unique perspective of the world below. Moreover, beyond the glass floor, there's yet another delightful section where an iron mesh encloses the space, allowing visitors to relish the refreshing breeze while taking in the breathtaking panoramic views. This area offers a sense of freedom and connection with the surrounding environment that is truly invigorating. To add to the experience, the skydeck also features a charming small café and an inviting ice cream stall situated on the 88th floor. Whether you're in the mood for a warm cup of coffee or craving a delectable frozen treat, these culinary delights provide the perfect accompaniment to your sky-high adventure. All in all, the skydeck offers an enchanting experience that goes beyond expectations. From the awe-inspiring glass floor to the captivating iron mesh area and delightful culinary offerings, it's an absolute must-visit destination for anyone seeking both thrills and tranquility in a truly breathtaking setting."

The Voyager Theatre: Was a great experience, however the headset was cutting in and out and not working correctly (the vision and sound cutting out/ lagging). Apart from this, the experience was quite unique and, I would recommend it providing the issues are rectified. The Edge: Quite lame actually, very disappointing, due to condensation we couldn't see out the glass which sucked but that part wasn't too bad, I just didnt think the edge was worth it, especially the long wait. The sound effects were not necessary and were quite lame and ridiculous. I thought it was too overpowering with the loudness and, the ridiculousness of it. VR Plank: The VR plank was good, however, being out in the open is not for everyone and this should be addressed because others are starring while you have no knowledge is a really uncomfortable feeling. It should be enclosed like that Voyager Theatre. As for the view, it was a fantastic view, beautiful and breath taking. Would be great to experience at night time to see all the beautiful lights and sunset. The information on the window was awesome to see how far away Phillip Island and, Launceston is. It gives such an in-depth idea of how far were up in the air also. The Cafe where you can get food and drinks was fantastic. They were friendly and, had good options.

I was visiting Melbourne a few days and decided to visit Melbourne Skydeck in the Eureka Tower and I was NOT disappointed. It has the fastest lifts in the southern hemisphere at 9 meters per second and I got to the Skydeck on floor 88 within 39 seconds. The Skydeck was 285m high making it the highest observation deck in Australia! The views were amazing, even with cloud around I could see for at least 80km in every direction. I could see all of Melbourne and getting there was very easy. There were also things you could look through to see all of the attractions and historical sites around Melbourne. There was also a VR thing in the observation deck where you could walk a plank and it felt very real. There is also a room that extends out from the building that has a glass floor and while it’s safe, it’s also terrifying. I couldn’t take photos of it as no cameras are allowed in the glass room but it’s very good for adrenaline seekers. Overall, I would highly recommend going there if you ever visit Melbourne. There was also a gift shop where you could by cool souvenirs to remember the experience.

This is a fantastic place to visit if you want a bird’s eye view of the city of Melbourne. Went with school students on an excursion in 2012, it used to be called Eureka Skydeck. It costs nearly $30.00 for an adult but there are children and concession prices available. The school students were very impressed by the building and architecture and found the views breathtaking. I also enjoyed the views from all different angles. I took several photos but could only find one that I had saved on my devices, so maybe another time on a clear day I will go and take more stunning aerial photos of Melbourne. On a clear day, it is worthwhile to go for a visit, you will be impressed. You can also enjoy dining at Eureka 89 if you have time, bear in mind this is a 5 course menu so the price may be a bit steep, but worth it. The place is accessible by transport. I went there again recently and really enjoyed the sunset taking many photos and some videos.

This place is a great way to start your Melbourne adventure. We went here just expecting a view of the city. Instead we got an experience and grand idea of the layout of Melbourne. We purchased the ultimate package which included a very cool 4D VR that put you in the lifestyle of Melbourne. On the 88th floor you can walk around and really view the city and it surroundings. They have little view finders around the edges of key locations so you can see where they are. Enjoy a meal while you wait for “the Edge” where they extend a glass room out of the building. You can really see how high up you are in this room. If your travelling to Melbourne for the first time this would be a recommendation to get your bearings.

It was absolutely an amazing experience visiting Melbourne Skydeck. All the experiences are worth trying including plank experience, VR experience and Edge Experience. The best one is absolutely the Edge experience which I would rate the first and VR being the second best. The best part of the Edge experience is that you can have a picture as a memory with you whether in e-form or digitally printed for which you have to pay a little extra. Tip: For the Edge experience picture, it’s better to get that in day light rather than night time. The staff is great as well and deserve massive respect for being helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend buying tickets in advance as that’s convenient as well as cheaper.

Melbourne skydeck is a nice place to visit.. 88 floor building.. better to choose week day 4.30-6 pm to see day n night view.. ofcourse no time restrictions to stay in top. Few seats are there n floor also we can sit.. best thing is small telescopes are kept n named for what we are viewing.. Snacks n drinks avl. Toilets also avl which is good.. to avoid the que take online tickets n offers are there for online. You can see balcony with natural air in one particular spot.. otherwise its fully closed with glass. Edge view is there at separate cost which is not necessary.. ground level paid VR games related to sky deck is there for more fun.. overall a good place to visit n take photos

On the day we went, it was slightly cloudy. So the staffs were very nice to let us come again at a later timing (because i already book my tickets for the 12pm slot). Worth the wait for the rain to subside, the view was phenomenal up there. It was beautiful, they had an outdoor viewing spot, breathtaking and the wind is really strong. They have bars up there, you can get fixed with a drink, and if you're not into that you can have an ice-cream. Or just enjoy the view. The space at the viewing gallery is quite tight, so it can get quite stuff depending on the crowd. But a good 20-30 mins up there should satisfy this aerial view of the beautiful Melbourne city

Awesome view of the Melbourne City, but a very small area to walk around with limited food and souvenir options up top. Tends to get pretty crowded, even on a weekday. Some telescopes(?) and nifty scopes that point out landmarks and tourist attractions. Good for tourists visiting Melbourne for the first time. Not sure if there is a point in getting the annual membership though. There’s a mailbox for you to post your postcards (with stamps for sale) if you want! That was pretty cool. Overall, an acceptable price to exchange for a spectacular view.

If you're in Melbourne, it's a great way to start your Melbourne tour with. You can see the beautiful skyline from this viewing deck which looks so mesmerizing in the Golden hour and sunset. I visited around 4.30pm and got to see an amazing golden hour and sunset at evening 5.15. It costs $30.00 and I felt it's quite worthy. It is on 88th floor, so being a Claustrophobic I found the elevator superb smooth. It's a must visit place. Visiting this place in sunny place is recommendable, if sunset is your choice.

The view up top is simply amazing and breathtaking both during the day and at night. It is not something that you can see unless you ride a helicopter. However, the charm of this place only lasts for a few moments. You will easily get bored of the place and there is not much activity to do after. Good thing, the National Gallery of Victoria is nearby so you can move there as your next destination. Overall, this place is nice for a first time visit. After your first time, you will not be enamored by this place as the first time you saw it. Also, prepare money for this place is not free.

Went there recently with my partner and did the VR experience and SkyDeck with a complimentary cocktail. Was really amazing and would highly recommend for anyone in Melbourne to do. I've lived here my whole life and never done it, but it was really awesome to see Melbourne from such a different perspective. The VR experience gave me a bit of motion sickness as they have these chairs you sit in that move around along with the experience, but other than that the VR was really cool and well done.

A must-visit in Melbourne, this place offers a breathtaking view of the entire city from 88 floors above ground. It's an unparalleled experience, especially for someone like me who had never been that high in a building before. The elevator ride, though a bit intimidating for someone unfamiliar with such heights, adds an adventurous touch. The Sky Deck features a bar where you can enjoy the view along with some snacks—a perfect combination to complement the awe-inspiring surroundings.

Sky deck had amazing views everywhere you looked. In the day you can see every skyscraper and everything Melbourne has to offer. At night, the city lights up and it becomes a magical masterpiece. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Before heading up, you also have the option for the VR room which we do definitely recommend. It’s approximately 11 minutes and it showcases everything Melbourne has to offer in a full 360 VR experience. Highly recommend for those visiting Melbourne!

Simply wonderful. You need to book the ticket in advance to avoid the wait. Online tickets are available and in concession price. Lifts are super fast may take a minute to reach the top. On the top deck there are toilets and coffee shops. You can seat on the floors or in the chairs. Big glasses will enable you to see the city clearly. Photographs are really amazing and memorable. To me, best time to go is 30 - 45 min before sunset thus can enjoy all three moments of light.

Beautiful views of Melbourne, we bought the tickets online for $28 which is cheaper than buying at the spot. We got the basic visit only but they have different plans that include virtual reality, drinks, the edge (which is a piece of the building that moves in and out and let's you look down through a see through floor with a whole sensory experience. Found the views were well worth it, the place was not full so you could calmly have great views and have a nice time.

While we had a hard time finding this spot once we did we weren’t disappointed. We love being able to see the city from above and we added the Edge experience. It was great but we didn’t like that they try to make it scary by creating a loud soundtrack if banging and lights. We were enjoying it until they did that. Please stop. We didn’t do it to be scared. We did it to get a full experience and that make it feel less than it would have.

Worth visiting at least once as a tourist attraction giving excellent views of Melbourne and surroundings. It is pricey but is easy to get to either by car (paid parking onsite) or a short walk from Flinders St station. I didn’t do any of the added extras like VR or the edge experience as it also adds further costs but did enjoy the views and extremely fast elevator ride. Tickets bought online are cheaper and you have 6mths to use..

Not a complaint but You can find cheaper tickets online for some reason. This is one of the must-go list in Melbourne. From up on the Skydeck, you can clearly see all the landmarks in Melbourne. You simply cannot miss this during your trip. The picture will not lie. One advice though, visit during the near sunset hour would be perfect. You can have a pine in the bar until the sunset, would definitely loved the picture and memories!

Had an awesome evening here at sunset time on a Saturday night. Spectacular views of the sun going down over the cityscape. Getting the tickets with everything included feels very worthwhile as the edge and the VR experiences add to the whole evening. The VR plank is a bit average. But the VR experience in the pod chairs blew me away. It feels like you are really there and gives me shivers for what the future holds.

It's my first time to visit Skydeck with my whole family and we really enjoy the experience. From reception to the activities, the staffs are friendly and accommodating. Edge is nerve-racking especially if you're afraid of heights. Also, thanks to Alex the lady who assisted me in VR Plank. At first I'm hesitant to try it but she made sure that it will be alright which made my experience more memorable.

Absolutely amazing experience. Celebrated my birthday here, with a 7 course and wine pairing included aswell. Service was really good aswell, we had the same waitress the whole night which made it feel more personal, and she was absolutely lovely, funny and very knowledgeable. The views are breathtaking, with clouds passing by our window every so often. It's pricey, but worth doing at least once.

There is a fantastic view from top, sunny day may cause reflections from the glass to have a good view. So next time I would prefer a cloudy day. One must have an experience of the moving out deck, great experience of the extended deck is the scary view, sound effects and lighting, they give us 3 photos from the deck. But the charge is extra, not included in skydeck price

Amazing place to visit with friends or family. This is the highest observation deck in the northern hemisphere which is around 300 metres high. You can go up to 88th floor by high speed lift. Sunset experience is just great if you visit in the evening. “Edge” facility is also available here for daring visitors who want to stand in the glass cube 300 meters high above the ground level as this glass cube comes out of the Sky-deck.

Did the Max VR Experience - The VR Theatre and views were great, but the VR plank was a bit disappointing. There were technical issues which were kindly resolved by the staff, but the quality of the VR was sub par especially in comparison to the VR Theatre. The Melbourne landscape was poorly rendered, which took away some of the thrill.

It was a nice experience, you could see the whole city from top, and have the chance to pay more to experience the edge, which basically a box of glass that moves away from the building and they will take a picture for you with the view. Went on a weekend but wasn’t crowded. Maybe i was lucky. But definitely something to experience in Melbourne. Ps. What made it special, was being taken there for my birthday

The views are spectacular and the experience itself of just going up to see the view is exciting. It's definitely worth it if you are visiting. I swung by here right after hopping off the Yarra River cruise. In the late afternoon, I gazed down at Melbourne city and hung around to catch the sunset. The sky went through a whole color show! Oh, and you've got to check out the VR Theater. You can soar over Melbourne and hit up all the hot tourist spots in just 20 minutes. It's a real blast!

I'd recommend getting a package. As a couple, we got two cocktails, the VR theatre experience (really good if you're a tourist), and the general administration for $94. Considering the GA is usually $26, and the theatre is around that too, and a cocktail is $24~ , you save around $50~. Very happy, nice view

Fantastic place to get the whole picture of this wonderful city. I love the architecture of this city. The old chapels, train station, and some of the older government buildings, are some of the nicest I have ever seen.

Beautiful deck to oversee Melbourne. Variety of choices at the bar and unlimited time to spend through the day from the ticket!

Loved this. Gives you a totally different perspective on Melbourne. Easily one of the best things to do in the city.

Nice experience to view the beautiful Melbourne City from the top i.e. 88th Floor. Dont recommend 'The Edge' as it's like a cage unlike a glass chamber popping out of the building in Ledge Chicago.

  • Lu Liu

On the 88th floor, with a 360 degree view of Melbourne's charming scenery, it is worth recommending.

Stunning views and sites, could see the MCG grand final screen from the deck, magnificent views, didn’t like the 3/4 Tier pricing structure

Fantastic place to see sun set, you must take the evening time you can see the day view and night view and a wonderful sun set view

  • A Mc

The view is fantastic. Don't think doing the Edge is essential but the VR plank is fun.
