Melcom is a department store with multiple branches across Ghana. They carry a very broad range of goods both grocery, drinks, laundry, soaps, appliances, office, linens, bathrooms, kitchen, household items including furniture. Many items are not very high quality and may last for only a short while. An example: on this trip I bought a metal teapot, and filled it up with hot water and it started sprouting the water from the base. Other items are ok quality. The building that houses this Melcom, the K Appiah Complex, has substandard finishes. This is a three storey building , each floor connected by steps, no two the same height. Be careful. They offer a loyalty card 5% discount for purchases over a certain amount. It is a tedious check out process where first they scan all items and you pay for the purchase, and then another person manually checks the receipt item by item before your purchased are bagged. And finally there is a third check at the exit door. If you are doing a big shopping staff will assist you to carry your basket(s) which is very helpful. They will also help you to navigate the three step check out process and even load into your vehicle. Overall a good option for the variety and one-stop convenience.

Melcom is located at Adiebeba, Kumasi on the Ahodwo Roundabout- Melcom Road. Melcom deals in wholesaling and retailing of assorted goods such as groceries, home appliances, furniture, electronics and electrical appliances, stationery, confectionery, toiletries, home theater systems and interior decor, cutlery and cooking utensils, mattresses, sofas, reclining swivel and office chairs, bunk beds, baby foods, beverages and alcoholic drinks, as well as lots of fantastic products for home and office use. Melcom is the ideal place to shop and get exclusive Discounts, promotions and shopping gift vouchers.

Washroom had no working washing sink to use after going to the toilet in the men's room and my wife complained the ladies' toilet was not working either. This is an unacceptable situation for a large department store like Melcom. Also why is it always difficult to secure parking at Melcom stores? On second thoughts i should have rated it One star, instead of Three. On the plus side, am always pleasantly surprised by the extent of merchandise available at Melcom; you can literraly find anything you are looking for!

Fully stock with new and old things. Will managed display of unit products. Labeling of products and direction on point making it add to miss a product you are looking for. Open parking space but no trees for shade. Just need small painting to add some sparkling to the whole space. Last but not least they have enough people around to assist you when u need help

It's is a nice place :there are restaurants(both Chinese & local),Police station, car park,a Goil- fuel station, Gamal social centre,Ghana Telecom.Univ.have campus opposite ets. apart from the things they sell at Melcom Ahodwo- brch.Zenith Bank- is about 100 meters

Very well stocked shopping mall. I loved the staff, always wearing a smile and ready to offer a hand of help. Parking places were a challenge and I hope management will work on this. All in all a fantastic shopping centre in Kumasi, the city of my birth.

Not bad at All. Stuff are not expensive and also well arranged. The only bad side is you have to wait for all your purchase items to be checked one after the other before you leave the shop (just at the exit).

This Melcom store makes it easier to find everything you need and want. Also, new products are visibly displayed to pick your interest. I prefer to shop here than go to the two branches in downtown, Adum.

As I was selecting items no one was supporting online other senters and as I was paying myself and I was picking the items to the payment point and also picking it for the cashier to to key in .
