Went with a friend for a treatment. The staff member asked me to remove a piece of jewellery, which I handed to her. Afterwards, I didn't see it anywhere and asked at the front desk where it was. The person then went off for a while, came back and said it was thrown in the bin. When my friend and I made it clear that this wasn't acceptable, they then went off and came back saying the other staff were 'digging through the bin' for my jewellery. I was shocked by this. My friend and I were annoyed and unimpressed. Eventually, after a long wait and a complete mishandling of the situation, I got my property back. My friend and I were by now unable to fulfil our plans for the evening. The night was ruined. The person on the desk said that the manager would sort out a redo to make up for the experience if we emailed. A week later, someone called me and didn't really have anything to say. When I asked about the other treatment that was promised, they acted completely confused. When I mentioned that it was unacceptable to just throw someone's jewellery away, she said that these things just happen sometimes. The customer service was so bad I couldn't believe it was real. She said that the very most she could do, despite the offer from the other staff member, was to offer me and my friend a 20 euro voucher to split between us. She was completely rude and unhelpful. Avoid this place if you don't want your property thrown in the bin, a ruined night and an awful experience.

Didn’t get full time I paid for. My “hand and arm massage” consisted of my right arm and left hand with a total of not even 3/4 minutes between them. The whole treatment was extremely rushed and lazily done. The back massage was excellent though. We were given 35 minutes if even out of what was supposed to be 60 minutes. The back treatment was described as a hot oil massage, it was not a hot oil massage. Today was a Christmas present from myself an 18 year old part time worker and had to travel well over an hour for such a let down. The woman at the desk told us that we didn’t get enough time because we were late, after checking she seen we were not late and changed the excuse to us not having a form filled out. I was emailed one form which was filled out, we had to fill out another one when we got there but was left waiting for 5-10 minutes after the fact for someone to come collect the form then. over all todays experience was a big let down. I was led to believe I was buying a high end gift for my mothers Christmas present. For the price I paid I was certainly ripped off. Quite clear we were the last clients of the day and your staff just wanted to go home. Very very disappointed.

Paid $120 each for my husband and I to get a deep tissue massage. Was told by the receptionist that it was 60 minutes and we got there on time. We were brought back at 5:05 and I used the bathroom. By the time the massage began it was 5:10. The women finished at 5:48 and when I got dressed by 5:50 i went out to the receptionist and asked why it wasn’t 60 minutes and she had said it was a mistake, it was supposed to be 50. At this point I’m thinking “ok I understand the mistake, but we started at 5:10 and it is 5:50” (that is 40 minutes to me?) then she asked if we were getting a refreshment? I guess that counts as the extra 10 minutes? So I paid $240 for a super rushed massage where they only did a rub down (not a deep tissue) and a cookie with water. My masseuse also kept taking breaks and taking forever to get the “towels” to wipe the oil off of my back. I have never had a masseuse take so many excessive towel finding breaks. Very disappointed because we were looking forward to this as an ending to our vacation. At this point I’d like my money back because it was horrible and that timeline should be disclosed when booking.

NOT a genuine spa. I had booked on the Merrion Hotel website & was obviously diverted to this "spa". On arrival I knew we weren't in the correct place. However, we let it go but then we were both put into a couples room which had 2 treatment beds, fine as I was with my sister. It was not a nice room; a converted office in a basement building. My therapist (very nice) was not very hygenic & wore his outside runner (which stank of wet runner) during my treatment & I felt he was falling asleep during my "treatment" as he kept stopping. I got oil "rubbed" on my back & then wiped off again. Was told to turn over for the facial, which was not a facial. My eye makeup was still on & barely removed any dirt from my face. A mask was applied & then a very basic head rub. As nice as my therapist was; he was not properly trained. Not a very hygenic space & felt dirty leaving & had a shower & face scrub on returning home. So lesson learned, read EXACTLY what you are purchasing before you buy.

Booked the pamper package and went with my friend yesterday. Google map brought us down a lane beside a pub to the wrong location so we were a couple minutes late. We were told on arrival that the minutes would be deducted from our treatment which was (50 minutes long) fair enough, understood. The massage we both received was OK, our masseuse were friendly and professional and I really enjoyed my facial. The downfall was that we felt very rushed and under pressure. We could hear the phone constantly ringing and people talking and laughing so the experience was not relaxing at all. I was really looking forward to unwinding after a long day in work but this was not the case. I am not the type of person to give bad feedback but I do think it is essential to give feedback good or bad when necessary. I hope you can look into my experience and I wish this venture all the best but unfortunately I will not be coming back in a rush. Shame...

A friend took me here as a gift a few weeks ago. It was a very mediocre experience. The pictures on social media were deceptive, it’s basically a dingy basement and the entrance hall is where you ‘relax’ with a view of the busy street outside. Overpriced for the massage which was not relaxing because you could hear customers outside in the relaxation area aka front hall. They also advertise falsely on groupon (you buy a 90 min package but it’s actually only a 60 minute package?!?!) and they don’t seem to care about this at all, groupon are a ‘third party’ the receptionist kept parroting, as if merrion day spa held no responsibility for the false advertising of their salon. They don’t have the room or facilities here to offer anything other than bog standard massages and hence all this pretence about relaxation area is a joke, unless you find the sound of traffic relaxing

Incredible SPA! Great place to relax and feel renovated! The staff is really nice and helpful, you feel relaxed from the moment you get in. My favorite treatment was the Coconut melt pamper package, really nice and long back massage, with an arm and hand massage (or head massage), aromatherapy and the best facial I ever got. I bought 2 different pampering packages from Merrion SPA and both were amazing! Tonia was amazing when I needed help booking my appointment, she answered to all my e-mails so fast and really made the difference on my experience with the SPA. My treatment with Katie was relaxing and the drink after the treatment is a nice extra touch! I can`t recommend enough the Merrion Day SPA, I also recommend anyone to try their packages, specially the Coconut melt one :)

Easy to find, but come in advance to find parking as it took a while for us to find one on the street. Very peaceful and considerate regarding your wishes and requests that you want to come out of your experience. Did everything to its final details and provided an excellent deep massage. Very detailed orientated massage on the face and head where I would say could have been a bit more tried “deeper” massage technique. That’s just my personal preference! Still, a solid 9.5 / 10 massage experience with my partner together!! The only downside to my time was that someone came in the main lobby / front desk and were quite vocal and loud. That definitely sidetrack my mind to the noise and from my feeling and experience. Refreshing drinks afterwards was a nice touch!!

Merrion Day Spa is not the place to go when you are looking for high quality unfortunately. I don’t typically leave poor reviews but I made an expensive booking on the back of these highly rated reviews and would’ve appreciated a review based on the quality. Booked a massage and facial for my best friend and I and it was not worth the amount paid. Our make up was still in tact after our “facials” and the massage was awkward and nosy. We looked up the products used and a large bottle of cleanser was 6€ so if you’re looking for quality, I’d strongly advise you to look else where. The nicest part of this place is the lovely team of people so you’ll be greeted warmly.

My partner and I had a brilliant pamper treatment with the girls in the spa! The massage was divine, and really put my muscles at ease. You could tell that the girls really knew what they were doing! The facials were nice and relaxing but there was a lack of facial consultation for me with my therapist. My partner’s therapist was a lot more communicative. My partner’s therapist also offered her an essential oil for the massage whereas I wasn’t which felt a little bit strange and left out considering I was right there and my therapist didn’t offer the same! However, this does not take away from the beautiful treatment we had! I would really recommend! Thanks girls!

Unfortunately, I did not realise this was not part of the Merrion Hotel, entirely my fault when booking, but would like to flag to other consumers who may find the name misleading, considering they are nearly identical names and in such close proximity to each other. As for the treatment, I had the full body massage, it was mediocre compared to other full body massages I have had. Additionally I had the treatment room with entry directly to reception, you can easily hear noise from the reception from other clients/ general movement from this room. Overall, poor value for money at 110 euro per massage.

Worst massage that I’ve ever experienced in my life. I was in for a full body massage. My lower back and shoulders were not touched. Only half of one of my legs was massaged. I am fully train in massage and I can confirm that I receive a massage with zero technique, fluency. The basic techniques were not used. I paid €110 for this massage and when I approached the situation with the spa they offered me 10% off my next massage. They also offered an add on facial if I spent a €100 more! Very bad business expecting me to come back and spend another €100. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Started off with an excellent relaxing back massage, followed by what I can only describe as a heavenly experience of a facial. I would never have booked a facial if it wasn't part of the package gifted to my partner and I last Christmas. Well, I'm sold!! I don't know exactly what she did, as my eyes were closed the whole time, but there were 2 treatments and cleaning, then a face mask, during which time I received an amazing head massage. Then finished off with more eye treatments and a lip treatment. Don't ask me what she did, but my face is glowing. I'll be back

It was very relaxing from the moment we got to the reception. Everything was so relaxing and the oil was perfect. I’ve never done a back massage before and my therapist was very understanding, doing it very lightly at the beginning and always asking me if the pressure was ok. My boyfriend though thought if he asked for a medium pressure it would be ok, but it was slightly painful, although he said it was pretty enjoyable. In general, we loved it. Thank you so much for everything, specially for the tea.

As previous comments stated the massage I received was not a professional trained masseuse. Back massage was rushed and shorter than what we paid for (90min session). My feet was left uncovered after had to ask to cover it as she was careless about my relaxation. Not once she was coughing next to my head not sanitizing her hands afterwards. Terrible facial “technique”, didn’t know it can be painful..Terrible experience overall, was not at all relaxed just wanted to get out of the place.

My partner booked us the coconut melt pamper package and we chose the options which consisted of a back massage with warm oil, a head massage and a facial. The experience was incredible from start to finish and both of the girls there were very professional, and welcoming. The facial was beautiful and I have very sensitive skin so the products used were very gentle. I would highly recommend this spa, it is a hidden gem in Dublin and I will definitely return in the future.

My fiancé got me the 90 minute Coconut Melt Pamper package as an anniversary present which includes a back massage with hot coconut-infused oil, then a facial massage and mask, and finally a choice of a head massage or hand/arm massage, for which I took the head massage. My therapist was excellent and friendly. I wish to thank the team for their warm welcome and for this amazing experience! I have already recommended you to my friends and family for future appointments!!

I have a long experience in taking massage and facials all over the world. Nara is one of the best I have experienced so far. Her technique , pressure and professionalism was perfect. The place , the room was very clean and tidy and pleasant and customer attention was great as well. The only constructive criticism is that the premise should be more spacious and bright with windows as it is a bit claustrophobic this is why I don't give the 5 stars. Thank you so much

I just got home after a 90 mins treatment with the best therapist ever: Angelus (I hope I wrote his name right). He was kind, respectful, helpful and his hands are just perfect! From the moment you step in the front door and you're greeted by that beautiful smile from the lovely receptionist you know you're going to be well taken care of here. My therapist, Luna is a highly experienced masseuse. How she managed to get those deep seated knots out of my shoulders is nothing short of a miracle. Treat yourself to that chocolate facial. OMG as good as the real thing except none of the calories. Bliss!

We were visiting our daughter who is attending college at UCD and decided to grab a massage after a heavy day of sight seeing. This has to be the best spa experience we have had in a long time. From the moment we checked in to the quiet time after the massage, every interaction was flawless. The massage therapist found points I had no idea needed to be addressed. Cannot wait to return and do it all over again.

Had a fabulous back massage, head massage and facial from Gabrielle. He expertly worked on a few problem areas in my back and I felt great relief after. Chocolate facial was gorgeous. Relaxed afterwards with a camomile tea. If there was any criticism, I found the lighting in the treatment room a little harsh. But this is a minor issue easily fixed. I would happily return for another massage from Gabrielle.

The whole experience was great, from start to finish. My therapist Naoim (not sure about spelling) was great, very kind, the pressure in the massage, the movements and transition from one thing to other was great and very well done. The spa is very relaxing and as soon as you walk in you relax, at the end I had a hot chocolate to finish the experience. Highly recommended, Naoim was great. I will be back

Gorgeous place and staff were lovely! Message was nice a bit rough but overall nice room was very cold and we could hear the cars outside were thinking a window was open and loads of chatter outside the door so not ideal for a relaxing spa day. Also got a facial and the chemicals in it burned my face on my cheeks and I’m only back to myself now unfortunately and I went a month ago on the 9th of Feb 22.

Had a wonderful experience at Merrion Day spa. From the moment I arrived into the tranquil reception area, I felt this was going to be a real positive experience. The coconut pamper package was so amazing. The therapist Irmak started with the best back massage, totally relaxing and then a facial that madey skin so smooth and glowy. Finally a head massage. I will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Massage was fine but wasn’t the duration it was supposed to be. Was supposed to be 30 minutes but only lasted 20 minutes, very disappointed as I was treating my daughter. My masseuse also yawned the whole way through. When we left we mentioned this to the receptionist but she didn’t even look at us or apologize for this or acknowledge that wasn’t right. Not impressed with my visit, won’t be back

Treated my mother to a 90min massage here and can't rate the place higher. The lady on the desk lynne was so so helpful and accommodating and made us feel very welcome and looked after. Satisfied with the coconut melt package - massage and facial… the therapist was good;felt very relaxed after the session. They have great customer service too. The receptionist was lovely and she was very quick to confirm the booking when i was reserving it and when i requested for the receipt. I’ve had good massages in the past but Luna’s was one of the best I’ve had. She has a great technique and is fully aware of sustaining the right pressure through out the massage. I went for the Coconut Melt Treatment here and I could not recommend it more. It wasn't my first treatment and will absolutely not be my last. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home. The spa is so easy to get to and is always spotless. The treatment left me relaxed and rejuvenated. It is well worth it.

The only fault would be they should look at soundproofing the rooms as you hear everything. Or carpet the hallway. Staff very friendly. I would go back.

The whole experience was just gorgeous. The greeting on arrival, the ambience, lighting and lovely smells. The massage was fabulous. The only thing I’d mention is that the fan heater in the room was very loud, perhaps a Dimplex radiator would be better. Also, the mood music from outside couldn’t really be heard in the room.

Excellent back and arm massage and fabulous facial. The facial really brightened up my face and reduced any puffiness. The overall experience was great. The treatments were delivered extremely well in a relaxed atmosphere and my only gripe would be the squeaky, rickety bed, which definitely needs an upgrade.
