Absolutely fabulous experience! Today was my first time there as Meryann was highly recommended to me by one of my friends/collegues. I had booked a pretty much full day there (mani, pedi, facial, bodywrap etc). I had been feeling truly out of touch with myself (regardless of all the beauty routines I do on a regular basis) and needed a right kind of pampering to feel myself reconnected with the inner me. Meryann truly met all the expectations and went beyond them. I think after so many years I truly finally found my kind of esthetician that I will be going back to. Also Meryann is such a kind and wonderful person. Her prices are fair and she takes the time to get to know you and genuinely cares about her clients and their needs. She provides exceptional service that is truly customized to what you are looking for. She definitely takes her time with her work, explaining everything she is doing, and making sure that her clients leave the place happy- which I did. The spa itself is absolutely cozy adorable and clean, plus it's a really convenient location. I am definitely will be a regular from now on! Thank you for your wonderful services. I truly felt reborn when I was leaving the spa.

The short version: After my first appointment I walked out knowing this will be my home for all my waxing needs. If I can give more than 5 ⭐️s I will. If you want to know about my experience read the long version below. I moved to Ottawa a few months back and I had to find a new spa for my waxing needs. After searching endlessly for a place I decided on Meryann Spa. I walked into my appointment and right away I noticed how lovely, clean and welcoming the place was. Even lovelier and more welcoming was Maryann, owner and aesthetician. I had the Brazilian wax and let me tell you, she will be the only one seeing my goodies for a long time to come. I left with an appointment for a mani and pedi for four days later and my next Brazilian appointment. I have commitment issues, but committing to Maryann was a done deal before the end of my treatment. The price is reasonable and matches what I’ve paid at Yves Rocher for the same treatment. The decor is warm, calm, clean and inviting. You do not have to worry about too many people at once as it’s by appointments only. If you have read this far know there is parking at the back of her business. Note: this is my first review for any business.

I came to Meryann's Spa to get a relaxing facial and gain knowledge on how my skin is doing. Although, I was applaud at the lack of effort during the service. The arm and feet massages were short, fast paced, and she hardly massaged my upper arm. The facial and scalp massage were well done but I felt as if though that was the only thing she focused on. There was no skin analysis and I was given no knowledge of what was being used on my face. I expected for a 90 minute CUSTOMIZED facial, that I would be given above and beyond yet I did not even get steam and extractions. I couldn't even tell if she exfoliated my face. It felt like she kept putting random things on and took them off fast, her pace felt rushed. Even after the service, still there was no communication on what she had used on me and what she recommends. As a first time client I was not even given a goodie bag of samples and a card of products used. I was really looking forward to this service for my early birthday present to myself and expected much more. I was relaxed yet disappointed.

I’ve been a longtime client of Meryann’s. I was so pleased to find out she was adding laser hair removal to her list of services. I’ve been getting electrolysis and laser for over 10 years to treat upper lip, armpits, bikini line and full leg. I still need to do some upkeep, for me it’s a lifelong commitment. I was very impressed with this new machine Meryann invested in. Thanks to the cooling wand I can barely feel a thing (of course, I suspect it also helps that I only need upkeep and my skin type -light skin, dark hair). It feels a bit like individual needles in each hair follicle when the wand goes over an area. But even in areas that had either been missed or are stubborn problem areas, I still feel very little. Above all, Meryann makes the experience feel spa-like, it’s easy for me to relax and even doze off.

I'm so happy I found Meryann to give me a facial before my wedding. Her signature facial is perfect for brides as it's a mix of massage and a soft exfoliation without extraction. I chose this service as I didn't want to risk any outbreak or redness, and I was very stressed with wedding planning so the massage mixed in was exactly what I needed. Afterwards I felt like I was floating home and I slept well for the first time in weeks. My skin was totally glowing and I didn't need to wear any make up for the days after the facial. On top of that, Meryann is super classy, professional and kind. Her whole salon is gorgeous with super high attention to detail - I haven't seen many salons as gorgeous as this. I booked in just for my wedding preparation - but I will be back as often as I can to try more services!

I have been seeing meryann for 3 years and more now and I am very happy to share my success story here. I used to suffer from acne and clogged pores and my skin was just oily. I have tried many different acne products and none of it works. I was finally tired and decided to try meryann spa. We did a few treatments of the dual exfoliation. I did not see the significant effect right away and I just keep seeing meryann once a month then that’s when I notice the difference. Each time i get the treatment I am getting less and less break out then my face starts to get less oily and the pores are more tighter. For everyone suffering acne issues you have to give meryann spa a try. Meryann will make sure the treatment is done right and that you will see the results. She will also take very good care of you!

Can’t say enough great things about this place. Meryann has been taking care of my skin for 3 years now and there’s no where else I’ll ever go. If you want to improve your skin, I promise this is the place for you! I have seen incredible results in my skin. I suffered from acne (mostly hormonal - cystic acne, clogged pores, etc) and I can definitely say that Meryann’s facial techniques has transformed my skin in a major way. I recommend going to see her for a facial every 3-4 weeks at the start, you will love what you see. Not only are the results amazing but the experience is unlike any other facial I’ve ever had. The setting is relaxing, warm, clean and comforting. Meryann is very professional, always punctual and truly the best esthetician I’ve ever met. Always a five star experience!

When you’re going to Meryann’s Spa believe and trust her hands and experience in making your skin glows. It’s my second time I do facial, and I like how she goes beyond that with me, we discuss food and lifestyle issues, she listens to me with a full focus, I feel relaxed while closing my eyes and feeling her massage and the aroma. Her spa is like a a magical forest where you find woody accessories and green plants. I consider the 1- hour in her spa a break from my concerns, stress, and life worries. She also gave me a lot of recommendations on food choices and products. I've only tried the facials at Spa Meryann and they are one of the best gifts you can give yourself! The facials are extremely relaxing, and dare I say, healing. It is a great opportunity to disconnect from the busy world and really pay attention to the needs of your skin and body. Meryann is an excellent aesthetician that gives her absolute best at each facial and the massages provided during the facials are godsend. After each session, not only does my skin feel great, but I feel like a lot of stress and weight has been lifted. It's definitely a wonderful opportunity to rejuvenate your mind and body, and I would highly recommend.

The facial I had was amazing quality with every element I was looking for! This was the most relaxing and beneficial facial service I've ever received. My skin is beautiful, clear, and soft. Not only did the facial help my skin and mood it also included scalp, shoulder, hand, and foot massage. Clearly very skilled and intuitive, Meryann touched on three of the four Siguan and Sham points of healing in Chinese medicine! The facility is beautiful and Meryann is so kind! Definitely the best place. I have never gone second time to any other facial places but Meryann’s kind soul and her style made me come again. It was my 3rd facial and i haven’t regretted any of my visits to her. I mean some of you might find it expensive but trust me guys this place is a worth visit. I have had problem skin for the past 5-6 years and have tried so many different products and honestly felt like clear skin was pretty unattainable for me. I had a facial with Meryann today. It was more than a facial, it was also a meditative experience which made me feel healthier and more energetic. So relaxing! Very clean place. I wasn't sure if I'd like Aveda products, but it turns out I enjoy them very much. She took special care and didn't irritate my sensitive and highly reactive skin. Now my skin feels amazing! The massage was the best; I haven't felt so relaxed in years! I will definitely visit again and highly recommend Meryann.

Everything about my experience was 10/10. Yesterday was my first visit with Meryann and I can’t wait to go back. The ambience of the spa is amazing and you can tell how much thought went into each aspect of the spa. The facial itself was so amazing. I got the Dual Exfoliation Facial (60 minutes) which includes like a face massage, and neck/head massage. It was so relaxing and so through. My skin is so radiant and hydrated now . I wish I had taken photos of of the spa.

Meryann is very experienced esthetician and really only one I trust to treat my sensitive skin. Her spa is so comfortable and cozy, and Meryann ensures every personalized experience is an enjoyable one. I always feel lighter walking out of the spa. And the facials are so divine. Such a treat. You can easily tell that Meryann loves what she does and goes all the way to make sure every treatment, every visit is delightful. And Meryann is an absolute sweetheart.

Lovely spa experience - a beautiful, cozy corner in the Byward Market. Space is beautifully decorated in calming colours. I had the dual exfoliation facial - the bed was heated and the scents of the Aveda products were incredible. Meryann is a dedicated skin care professional - my skin has never looked better - it tends to be sensitive and red but today is glowing, smooth with significantly reduced redness. Highly recommended very relaxing experience.

Meryann gave the most holistic facial I’ve received in a long time. She took the time to understand my skin. Typically other aestheticians spend more time on applying products than facial massage. It’s rare to get this level and length of facial and upper body massage - I loved it! The aromas, products, ambience and techniques are all impressive. I am so pleased with Meryann’s services. Awesome experience!! I had a facial the other day and believe you me, I started asking myself what I have been having all these other years. You really have to experience Meryann's facial, to know the difference between having a facial and having your face washed. Meryann is very thorough and kind. I got the Aveda Elemental Nature Facial and it included a massage of my arms, shoulders and hands, 2 masks, and exfoliation. She also uses essential oils I believe, which creates a really relaxing experience! The price is also more honest than the downtown spas. The location is great (near my house and it beats the hustle and bustle of downtown!) I highly recommend Meryann!

I tried Meryann’s spa for the first time today. I did the Self Renewal Face & Body Experience and it was such a relaxing treatment. Meryann really takes her time with every step of the treatment to make sure you feel comfortable. The spa is also such a calming and quiet space.
