This was the worst experience I have ever had, and I have moved a lot for work. The movers broke 3 mirrors and a picture frame, and when I finally spoke with a “manager”, he blamed me. He claimed that the movers were “professional” and that I must have packed them broken. I broke them and then packed them! He also literally yelled at me on the phone! My work colleagues heard him across the room. The movers also overcharged me by rounding up the time by 45 minutes, claiming they “missed breaks”, that they didn’t even mention they needed. For the last half hour of the time they were actually moving, I found them sitting in the truck. Once they saw me, they both jumped up and picked up a box. My brother and I counted 5 things they moved in the 30 min before they finished, and added another 45 minutes to it. I sent 5 emails that were ignored, and made 6 phone calls before someone finally called me back. The “Customer Service Manager” named Warren, is still yet to actually email me back. He said it would take 10-14 business days, and it’s been 5+ weeks. Not once did anyone even apologize for the experience. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They will drive extremely slow to waste time, unpack slowly, break your things, ignore your calls and emails unless you want to book something and they want more of your money. They will also blame YOU for any issues and don’t even think about getting an apology. UPDATE - No one has contacted me as it says here.

We'd hired Metropolitan Movers for a local move within Mississauga. The overall experience was great! Starting from the booking process, competitive rates, follow-up call from their office just before the day of the move - very happy. Artem and Nik arrived on time on the day of the move and were extremely polite and considerate of our requirements. They did the best possible given the circumstantial limitations which included limited time with the elevators and other such logistical challenges. Despite having to rush through the moving process, there was no damage to any furniture or the facility. They rose to the occasion and even put off their lunch break until the end of the day after everything had been completed, despite having had such a long day. We truly appreciate and applaud their professionalism. Kudos to Artem and Nik!! We wish you guys the very best in all your future endeavours. All in all - we will recommend Metropolitan Movers to our friends!

I have heard a lot of stories and reviews with other movers that they stop in the middle of delivery and ask for more money or they charge for the hourly rate when they start from their office and take a lot of routes to reach the destination to increase the number of hours. I haven’t booked Metropolitan movers by myself but my cousin did. He got suggestion from Facebook group and he booked. On the day of moving, they came late. (The reason they got delayed because they were coming from different moving location). It’s understandable. They helped us with disassembling the beds and they did really great job. They took 15 mins break after loaded the stuff into the Van which is completely understandable. They unloaded the stuff completely in 1-2 hours. No complaints at all. They charged the amount from when they reached our cousins apartment to unloading the last box. I will for sure try these movers next time and I would recommend for sure. Thanks

I hired these guys for a 1 bedroom move. 3 hours to get out of my apartment that already had all the boxes packed. the only thing they needed to move was the furniture. Then one of the movers also decided to be careless with my furniture. scrapes on the couch, boxes dropped, and my lamp was mercilessly dragged on the concrete with no remorse as i was right behind the guy. i told the company right away and filed a claim and have not heard back. i also was charged for 5.5 hours as they delayed and took their sweet time. Please see the photos attached. I do not recommend these guys. i was waiting for them to respond to me as my move was on the 1st. it is now the 15th.

The movers were okay seem like they were taking their slow time at one point and just chatting I had to tell them we are on the clock more then once but it’s way to many hiding prices in with the moving when I called before even booking them I kept asking if there were any hiding fees in the price I got and the answer was NO come to find out it was all a lie feel I was over charged and the boss wouldn’t answer his phone after trying to call him 10 times but he could message one of the movers phone and tell them a price seem very fishy to me any how I just paid the lovers to get them out my house but never again will I move with this company the worst one yet!!!

I dont recommend this company. I booked them when moving to my new condo. First they arrived an hour late on a Sunday morning. They took four hours just to disassemble ikea sofa and bed and move it to my new condo 10 minutea drive away and reassemble it. When setting up the bed in the new condo they damaged part of baseboard as piece of wooden frame fell on it. They didnt inform us that this had happened and luckily I saw the damage and pointed it out. Once they left, after several emails and calls on some compensation they were very unresponsive and didn't end up providing any compensation. It's disappointing for such lack of customer service.

AMAZING SERVICE!! We were left hanging by a moving company we hired less than 12 hours before we had to move. Ilya and his team made arrangements for us on a Sunday night during his personal time to have his team to us the following morning. What a team! They work like machines! They even ask if they can take a 5 minute break. They were beyond professional. Not a single scratch on both the home we moved out of and moved into. Was a long day (we had a ton of stuff) and the teams attitude never changed. We would highly recommend Metro Movers. You’d be making a mistake checking out any other company!

I do not recommend booking this company, particularly if you are a woman living alone.This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. My furniture was damaged because it was not packed safely into the truck, the movers made inappropriate comments about my body and appearance, the staff threatened to charge my credit card more money after the manager let them know I was unhappy with the service. I sent an email with photographs to the company to apply for the liability insurance to replace my damaged furniture and still have not heard back from them. When I call I am just left on hold.

Total no shows for our move on saturday. You keep calling and they string you along "on our way". We sat there for four hours waiting eventually had rent our own truck to do it ourselves. TOTAL SCAM. No agreement was made. Just deception by stringing us along all day. After waiting for four hours driver called and said he will now start to make his way over I explicitly told him DO NOT COME. If there are charges we will take you to court

Booked by telephone. Received an email confirmation. I contacted one week in advance to confirm my move. On moving day, movers arrived 6 1/2 hours late. They were due at my home at 9:00 am and arrived at 3:30 p.m. when I needed to hand my keys to the new owner by 5:00 p.m. Not enough word space here to describe the stress I endured that day. Highly undependable. Use at your own risk.

I am very happy we used Metropolitan Movers, the services was outstanding. They arrived on-time, were very professional and most importantly they had patiences since we had a lot of stuff. To accommodate our needs they even brought additional track (2 in total) and let us use their storage unit with packing bins. Definitely would recommend them.

They damaged our furniture and floors during the move. Told us they would compensate us for it when they sent their representative. After a month after many follow ups they never compensated us and tried to bully us into taking a $50 compensation take it or leave it. Highly un-recommended based on service and quality of move.

This is the second time I have used this company and both times they did a stellar job. They turned up on time, worked hard to load and unload quickly, and finished up with 30 minutes of their estimated time. Both moves were in the winter so they did all this in less than perfect conditions, as well.

We had two men do our office move. They worked very efficiently and stayed until it was done (and it was into the wee hours of the morning). I would recommend this company although the movers packed our files and they were not packed in alphabetical order which made refiling them more work for us.

We were very pleased with the services. The team was very patient and hard working. A big thank you to Parminder and his team. And to Daniel who was very understanding and adjusted as per our busy schedules. Would recommended these movers to everyone.
