My boyfriend and I came here to try this place out for the 1st time on 1/29 1st thing wrong I noticed no greetings and we sat down everyone was literally staring not sure if it was because my bf is black and I'm Mexican. Well we sat down we were already at 5 mins waiting for a menu. I see a couple walk in later after us and I noticed they brought them the menus and chips and salsa right away we continued to wait still nothing I ended up asking the lady at the cash register if anyone was gonna come to us. She said yes In a little bit About 15-18 mins later a young man finally comes to our table with his notepad and asks us " what can I get for you guys" I stated we haven't even got the menus. After ordering they bring us first the beans and rice 5 mins later the parrillada for 2 people and then about another couple mins later the tortillas,.. service here was terrible. Just straight racism. Never coming back here again!!! The only good thing was the tortillas everything else was so bland and dry!! Bad service nasty food!

I googled a Mexican place near by, and decide to try it out. As soon we walk in there wasn’t that welcoming feeling, waiters didn’t salute. Chips where great, spicy hot sauce. We had torta asada there big and ok. My kid had hamburger, she’s picky, luckily she liked it, and said it was juicy. My disappointment was my dish Chile relleno, didn’t had any cheese filling inside, rice and beans were cold. Sadly for us luckily for waiters they charged their tip percentage, which was more than what our plates cost. Point here is that it’s more expensive than Applebees and/or Olive Garden. In my point of view Olive Garden is better in taste and money worth. Now waiter did a good job.

Disgusting!!!!! Sent my co workers to eat here after enjoying the food here for years but haven’t been in a while and they all walked out! The caldo was a bowl of grease and the shrimp could not even be peeled they were so over cooked. My boss ordered the fajitas and they tasted NOTHING like fajitas and was SOAKED AND SOGGY dripping in grease. There’s not enough words in the dictionary to express how disgusting the food was. Horrible and the staff did nothing to make your the bad experience right. I’m personally going to cook a meal for my co workers to make this wrong right this restaurant did. Sad to have to warn the public and hate to see this be public but it needs to be addressed. Good luck to the next person that goes because it is a waste of time and money. Sorry guys for your bad experience.

Came here with my coworker for lunch and we enjoyed the authenticity of the food. I can say that the service wasn’t as good as it could be because our waiter was primarily speaking with my coworker (who knows Spanish) so he did everything when it came to the ordering, asking for refills, etc. I ordered the carne asada (beef) quesadillas and they come filled with meat, grilled onions, and cheese. On the side you’ll get pico and sour cream. They have 2 sauces to top your food with as well. I also ordered a small guacamole. I can say the food was very delicious and filling. The sauces were spicy but not to the point you couldn’t enjoy your meal. I do plan to come back to try their taco and/or nachos but I hope the customer service is better.

Tucked away off MLK and Polk, this Mi Sazon is a delightfully and colorfully decorated restaurant with friendly staff and good food. My mother ordered Caldo de Res (beef soup) and it was by far the BEST caldo de res I'd ever had. Flavorful, clean, with good chunks of meat and fresh colorful veggies. I even ordered some to go home with me (and ordered extra broth) because it was excellent. The broth is perfect. I had the parrillada (mixed grill) and everything was seasoned well - even the weanies! The shrimp was the standout, followed by the chicken. The beef was dry in some bites, but I've come to think that is just the nature of beef fajitas. I would recommend the soup. Will return and try something else - perhaps a torta!

Stop in at this local mom and pop restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Have seen this spot for many years driving down I-35 finally decided to stop. I was not disappointed. This spot was so beautifully decorated inside. I didn't get pictures of my food ‍♀️‍♀️! The environment was so homey and comfy I was so blown away! The food was delicious as well. Very well seasoned. I love me some Mexican food. This is definitely in my top 5 best Mexican food spots! I will be BACCCKKKK!!

Decided to try this surprisingly awesome spot right in my neighborhood after catching a glimpse of it's bright and colorful building... right in the middle of drab rundown apartment buildings. The art on the outside is so cool and beautiful. Your senses are immediately activated with so much color and smells of deliciousness right inside the door. Couldn't believe how absolutely spotless the entire place was. Great food and even Happy Hour! Frozen margaritas were a bit too sweet though. Will get it on the rocks next time. Will definitely return. Excited to have this is our neighborhood! Try it out!

I can't find enough good things to say about the food and the place. Waitress was very nice and friendly. The service was excellent!! Hot sauce and chips, enchiladas, quesidilla, all awesome! Even the rice and beans are delicious! My husband and I ate for under 20$ and I even had a beer. It was refreshing to see the manager jump in and help bus tables. If I had to suggest an improvement on anything it would be that they offer real Texas sweet tea. But we're willing to overlook that because everything else was great. The sour cream and Pico was great, too! Well be returning!

I ordered a sweet tea and my waiter brought me unsweet and failed to inform me that they didn't carry sweet tea. If I had been informed id have ordered something else to drink. I ordered my nachos without onions and received a plate with onions. I asked for something different and he brought me a different plate with onions in my beans. Either he didn't care about my order or he was new. I don't write reviews but I decided to waste a piece of my day to help someone not have the horrible experience I did. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Amazing little mom and pop restaurant. The food was delicious, very authentic. The restaurant it’s self was very nice by having a nice collection of art and hispanic decor. Lastly the staff was very helpful and kind. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for some good food.

This is the place I crave burritos from... Forget Chipotle! They also have some of the best enchiladas out there! This is my favorite spot to have lunch with my friends! After living elsewhere for the last five years I was able to visit while I'm in town. Still my favorite burrito! So glad to see the beautiful improvements to the building! I have always loved their food and today I took some family to try it out for their first time and I cannot stress enough how inappropriate the waiter was being with the waitresses infront of the register where we were eating at. It was super uncomfortable that the food wasn’t even as appetizing management really needs to talk to their waiters and waitresses touching eachother inappropriately infront of their customers.

I’ve been here multiple times. I recommend the Torta Cubana or the Gordita plate. The chicharron is good here, but I always get the fajita. If you get the fajita platter the meat will be more on the well-done side, so I only get the fajita when I order gorditas or tacos. The flavor/food quality for the price point is great. you will get authentic flavor at a good price.

Food was gross! Don’t recommend. The waitress was rude and unfriendly. My food was brought last and much later than everyone else’s food. Everyone was eating while I just sat there and waited. I had ordered tacos with breakfast potatoes and beans and somehow even though I had ordered before everyone else my order still came out when everyone was almost done eating. Such a bad experience! To top it off the egg was gross. Never going there again!

I wouldn't go crazy with this restaurants menu. Not much to see here. I've ordered pork guiso (it was good), chicken mole (overpriced small chicken quarter leg with very little meat on the bone smothered in sauce. This is never good.), fried tilapia with rice and beans (pretty good for it's price). I will probably return for the fried fish but not much else.

We were looking for a local restaurant that offered a homemade Barbacoa and we found it. This place has an amazing fresh made barbacoa that is both delicious and affordable. The service is great and quick, you must be patient since they are pretty busy at times. You can order a tasty michelada while you wait. Parking is very limited and people just park anywhere causing some stress driving in and driving out.

True authentic tasting Mexican food. Best homemade fresh off-the-grill tortillas I've tasted in years. My dinner mate had the carne asada which was mouth watering delicious. I had the chicken flautas which were tasty and robust in texture and flavor. Our dinner portions were generous and left us both taking home leftovers. It took a little while for our food to arrive, but it definitely was worth the wait !

If you have a craving for Mexican food they have it all here! Everything we tried was delicious. I personally had the fish tacos and they were fantastic. I will definitely be back. This is amongst my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Dallas.

They don’t know how to get the orders right. We order a burger for my son and we told them NO MAYONNAISE and they did put a lot of it, then I let them know and in stead of giving us a new one they just tried to hide it with adding an extra slice of cheese. That’s really poor service you can’t be like that. Never coming back to this place!!!!!

Mmm menudo was not to good not to much flavor and chewy than normal. Rest was okay nothing that I can say I’m coming back but the decorations. Restaurant is really small but it’s renovated and full of artistic work of Frida which was nice. Es un si Pero no gracias.

I had forgotten how good this place was. Had breakfast this morning and it was delicious. Everything we ordered was perfect. I took half of my food home cause they serve a generous amount. I even took some menudo to-go for my husband and he loved it.

I ordered a caldo de Rea and it’s THE BEST I’ve had in awhile. Party of 5, all of us absolutely enjoyed every bite. Hand made corn tortillas, and clean facilities. Love the music playing, the food and ambiance in general.
