Have you ever had that restaurant near you that you consider the crowning jewel of your neigborhood, a hidden gem? For me, that’s Michael & Sons. This place has been here since before I existed, and it still for me is some of the best pizza in Fresh Meadows, maybe even in all of Queens. Even though they don’t deliver to my location, I have no problems going and picking it up. It is the best pizza! We absolutely love it. Plain, Buffalo, sausage and peppers, meatball and onion…. All delicious with the perfect amount of toppings and always cooked to perfection. Love it!!!!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I quite like this place...TV is on but at a very low volume, set to NY1 and not Faux News; cozy but with plenty of light thanks to large "retail-store" windows; decent prices for fairly good food (nothing special but definitely a respectable effort); plus, the smiley "Greek/Italian-looking" coed is very friendly and cheerful, rounding out the dining experience!

First time visiting here and must say the pizza is much better than the pasta options I ordered. Loved the pizza and pinwheel. Pasta was average, but not bad. The price is not to be beat, and portion sizes are plentiful. I found my new favorite place.

Native New Yorker here, born and raised. This place is a solid pizza place. Good price on Tuesdays for a pie. Crust is on the chewy side. Pretty consistent bakes but sometimes slightly undercooked, which is better than burnt. I can alway reheat slices at home in the toaster oven to the appropriate doneness anyway. I haven't tried the hot dishes or rolls but they seem to be made freshly, because I see the staff cooking them when I swing by for pick up at lunchtime.

Best pizza in the area. We've been coming here for years since my children attend the nearby schools in the area. They are family and kid friendly and always have a good attitude when I am there. My kids love their pizza as it is the main pizza place for all the surrounding schools in the area. Their everyday specials are great and it helps with the ongoing inflation everywhere.

The staff here were top-notch. Everyone from the hostess to the waitstaff were friendly, personable, and eager to help. They took their time to explain various menu options and gave excellent recommendations throughout the evening. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better experience here. Order foods for an outdoor party and they were so accommodating. Call me to make sure we didn’t forget after we were late picking up. Also brought the pizzas to car for us. The pizzas were delicious and the garlic knots are the best ones I’ve ever had. They are huge and soft ! Salads are decent portion. We ordered the everyday family specials and had so much leftovers for guests to take home. Definitely going back !

I have been getting pizza pies every Tuesday for almost every week. (Because of their 11 dollar pies on Tuesdays) Usually its just that but sometimes I get the garlic knots or the Greek salad which are very good especially the Garlic knots which are to die for! Best pizza spot in the area it’s tried and true they have been serving up fresh hot delicious pizza for over 30 years they have the best garlic knots hands down they literally don’t exist at any other pizzeria everyone that works there is friendly. I make it a point to try pizza everywhere I go And none have even come close to the taste and satisfaction you get when you bite into a slice from mike and sons

I ordered a large cheese pizza three times from this place and all 3 times it was consistently excellent. They go light on the sauce and the sauce is not acidic like all the other pizza places so my acid reflux doesnt act up. The dough is perfect! My favorite pizza place hands down. I live in Whitestone and travel all the way here to pick up my pizza, it's that good!

First of all, this pizza is extremely mediocre, but that’s not the reason why I’m giving them such a bad review. One day, I was ordering a salad, the only palatable thing in the place. I asked for them to not dress the croutons of my salad because I don’t like wet croutons, however the workers didn’t acknowledge my request. The cashier cursed at me! Never going back!

Their pies are very good considering the area it is located. Got their meat lovers pie and I must say it was really good. Unlike some places that over load their pie with all the meats, thiers are a lot less, really on the lighter side. But all in all still a very good pizza.

I have been going to Michaels and Sons since it was actually owned by Michael 30 years ago. One of the most kindest people I have ever met. When I was a kid I used to stop by for a slide a few times a week. I miss that. I am now 45 and live out is state, but find myself returning every time I am in the area. Their recipes have remained the same.

Love this place! Family friendly, simple yet delicious. Super clean restaurant with no frills or and nothing fancy. Just straight up good pizza . This is my son's favorite pizza so we order often and pick on occasion but usually get it delivered. Delivery times are usually about 15 to 20 minutes but I guess it depends on where you live.

Amazing pies. The best around the area! Their food is also out of this world. Always fast service and friendly staff. Well done!!!

Always enjoy their food, until tonight. Walked in to pick up my order around 5:50pm. Everyone had their masks off. The guy in the back working the dough and preparing foods. The guy pulling peoples pizza out the oven; and the two girls running the register trying to tell me I am seeing things. Y’all lost this customer and his family.

Small hidden spot I tried simply for convenience as I recently moved to the area, and boy did I luck out. This place is the real deal. Quality food...pizza is delicious. its been my pizza place for past 15 years ever since i moved from Bay Ridge Brooklyn(known for a lot of Italian restaurants). quality of the food and price is very good. I usually order from them about 4 times a month or more. also they do have super fast delivery and very friendly delivery people.

So Happy I found Michael & Son's on Google. Baked Ziti is delicious. Not dry like most restaurants. Good portions. Friendly customer service! Will definitely be back!! This how restaurants should be, quality food and service. They even gave me garlic buttered Italian bread.

There is always trash talk amongst friends. On a recommendation from one of mine. "Oh my pizza spot is better than yours in Hollis." Well let me tell you Michael and Sons wins. I'll admit, tonight was my 1st time and I'm hooked. Wings and pizza hands down best around. Quality you can taste !!!!!

Found this place on accident and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the regular slice here and the prices are great too sicilian slice was a little too much bread and not as much sauce but the spinach pinwheel was good as well all in all a good pizza place will definitely be back

Pizza was great, especially their Margherita and Cheese pizza. Prices were good too, just not as yood as the prices in manhattan where you can get a slice and a soda for 2 dollars. Mushrooms sucked though. If you're looking to get some mushrooms on a slice, don't get it from here.

It's been 2 years since I moved to bayside. I asked them to deliver but it was too far. Drove down to them instead. Food never disappoints and it's a very warm family friendly experience every time. Definitely worth the time delivering me and my son to them tonight.

The pies are light with a crisp crust. The sauce is seasoned right and not overly topped with cheese. The limited dish orders I've had are good. The $10 pie special on Tuesdays can't be beat. A couple times my order sat on the ledge while I waited - pay attention!

Great family deal around $21 for a large pie, salad or ziti and garlic knots. Additional $3 for each topping. The garlic knots were a little bland but the pizza and ziti was delicious!

Ordered 2 mushroom and sausage slices so they put the toppings over an existing cheese slice. Though the toppings were good quality, they were completely separated from the cheese and the cheese itself was pretty dry because it was being reheated again.

This is my family's go-to pizzeria for deliveries. We initially chose it out of convenience since it's closeby, but we stuck with it because the pizza is always amazing. Their Sicilian slices are very good, very thick and fluffy. I recommend to anyone!
