Very cute and affordable spot in Scarborough for both savoury and dessert! I am glad this place opened up because I was kind of getting tired of Dspot. This is located north of Markham Rd and Lawrence Ave E. There is free parking and the whole proximity feels very homely. The customer service is great, the space is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, and their washrooms are beautifully decorated- great place to take pictures! My bestie and I got: 1) Classic Poutine- 9/10 This dish consists of crispy fries with cheese curds and gravy. Very tasty and served hot. I loved the hot melted cheese and the gravy complimented the fries well! 2) Peri-peri Chicken and peri-peri Fries- 7/10 This dish consists of fried chicken breast coated with peri-peri sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, and garlic mayo. Potato fries coated with peri-peri spice. I am a huge fan of peri-peri but I was pretty disappointed with this dish. It tasted alright but I had higher expectations considering peri-peri being the main spice used. 3) Bueno Crepe- 10/10 This dish consists of Nutella drizzle, bueno, kinder chocolate, brownie bites, cookie crumbles, Belgian triple chocolate drizzle, whip cream, and a side of vanilla ice cream. I absolutely love this dish! The portion size is perfect for 1-2 people and the sweetness was just perfect (not too sweet to make to gag). I can’t wait to go back :)

I love the overall vibe of Milky Lane Cafe! The neon signs, the mural and the colourful seating all really come together in this trendy spot. We went an hour before closing and the cafe was still surprisingly busy but regardless of the number of people being served the food quality was top notch. We ordered two shakes, the Raffaello and the Ferraro Rocher. Both were true to the flavour of the chocolates and had their respective Raffaello or Ferrero truffle chocolate at the bottom of the shake. I personally liked the Ferrero more even though I had never tried a Raffaello milkshake and very excited to try it. The flavour for the Raffaello tasted slightly bland and watery, it would have tasted better lined with a chocolate sauce like the Ferrero. Otherwise both shakes were tasty and reasonably priced. I absolutely loved the Simp for Shrimp! I opted to have it on peri peri fries instead of colseslaw. The dish was crispy and simultaneously saucy with a tangy flavour to it. The shrimps’ quality and quantity were both amazing. Most places tend to skimp on the shrimp but the portion size was quite generous. This dish is a must try and will be a big hit with anybody who remotely likes shrimp. Also, the cashier was incredibly friendly and polite, she was all smiles despite her face mask. Our experience at Milky Lane was fantastic; we really enjoyed the food and the ambience and would love to visit again, hopefully for a dine-in experience.

This is my new favourite dessert place and the best part is that everything is halal. I first found this place on Instagram from a friend's story a few months ago and ever since it's been on my list of places I'd love to try. I finally managed to visit for the first time about 2 weeks ago when I was in Scarborough. Since we had a food tour that day, we only tried the Ferrero Rocher crepe which we both loved. The addition of the chopped walnuts makes the crepe the perfect sweetness. I went again a few days ago and got to try the following: • Chicken basket appetizer (loved how juicy and tender the chicken was!) • Something meaty pizza (the pizza had the right amount of toppings and everything tasted amazing - though I don't usually eat salami, every topping worked perfectly well on this pizza) • Bueno crepe - loved how generous they were on the topping and love the way they decorate it. We loved this crepe and if you're a chocolate lover, then this one is surely for you. • Ferrero milkshake - this was definitely one of the best milkshakes I've had so far! I strongly recommend this place and it's a great place to hangout with friends or family for a late night out or anything you're craving something sweet. One of my favourite things about this place is the wall art. Loved the touch of the CN tower, basketball and the neon signs.

This place replaced Fabian's Bakery & Café, a legendary spot, family-owned for well over 30 years and it's a shame to replace the best German Deserts, Comfort Food and Cafe in Toronto's history with an establishment who spent more time on a bowling alley interior aesthetic meets Marxist iconographic design than hiring polite and professional service industry staff. Visiting my old neighborhood, I walked into Milky Lane Cafe with an open mind and intrigue, however left with a heavy feeling that sunk my soul. It amazes me how low we have come in this city of ours, albeit this was proudly Scarborough, that identity completely nonexistent today. Markham & Painted Post was always known as a tight-knit community, level class and positive family values across the board, where being polite was not even a requirement, it was a standard. RIP Fabian's, an end of a Golden Age, here comes whatever the hell this is. To the owners, I really hope you do better, not just for your own success but for the neighborhood.

My family and I came here pretty early on in the day to celebrate Father’s Day (around 1pm) for brunch. I can say that the food was great but sadly can’t say the same about the service. when we arrived, the doors were locked (although the bistro had been open already), and we had to wait outside for 5 minutes until an employee came and opened it for us (not a big deal tbh). Upon opening the door, the employee did not greet us and simply turned their back to us and left. When we came in no one greeted us and instead we felt treated like a nuisance. A server just shrugged us aside and told us to sit down somewhere. Throughout our visit we had to call the server to our table multiple times to ask for plates, water and to remove finished plates (pictured above) etc. Aside from that, I’d recommend the “simp for shrimp” item on the menu which was probably the highlight of our meal. We liked the desserts better than the actual food so I’d say this is more so a spot for dessert.

This place is definitely my new go to spot. They were really busy for the grand opening but we still got our order ready in 25 mins. The Buffalo chicken burger is so delicious- the chicken patty is crispy from the outside and moist and flavoured from the inside. It comes with curly fries which were also a hit Simp for shrimp was sooo good def a staple if you can’t decide what to get- it had so many shrimps, they definitely don’t cheap out. Also ordered the chicken basket which was delicious and is a great shareable appetizer. We also got a delicious cookies and cream milkshake- All the food was so yummy, filling, and presented very well. Will definitely be coming here often P.S. Shoutout to whoever designed their interior space it’s such an urban Toronto vibe SO IG WORTHY

The restaurant is reviewed based on food quality and customer service. Honestly the food was amazing. We ordered pizza, Peri tenders & chocolate lava cake. Pizza was 10/10. Loved every bite. Amazing flavours and so cheezy. However, the customer service was too poor. Not complaining about the server. The girl was sweet & polite but she was all alone handling all customers which was clearly creating delays in orders and poor attentiveness towards guests. Before there was not much rush but later it started getting packed up. The management should put more server's to improve better customer satisfaction and to avoid delays. Food review -5/5 customer service 2/5. Would have given all 5 if customer service was upto the mark.

Not so much for the velvet cookie The portion of food is small yet the prices are average The staff very friendly and helpful though they could easily get overwhelmed and would need more experience in running busy kitchen. Visited this place for the first time just to check it out and I was very well pleased. The decor is cute, the staff were pleasant and the food was amazing. I ordered their simp with shrimp and it is definitely a 10/10. You have the option to have it with fries or coleslaw. I chose coleslaw and was very impressed. I also ordered hot chocolate, a simple drink but can easily be made badly. Again a score of 10/10. Perfect place for a meet and greet, late night outing with friends or significant other. Milky Lane is the best spot I've ever visited in Toronto, and it's a fantastic experience. The ambiance is both warm and inviting. Yesterday, I went to milky lane cafe late at night, and the customer service was excellent; the employees didn't seem as if they were shutting but instead welcomed me warmly, and the place was the cleanest I've seen in Toronto. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and offers excellent advice. Friendliness of the hosts, delectable food, lovely presentation, extensive menu, aesthetically pleasing ambiance, and a delectable dessert I strongly advise everyone! I'd like to return to this location regularly♥️

Located in a bit of a lowkey area but the food was so good and staff were so nice! Our server was hustling to help all the tables as it seems to be pretty popular but still had a such a sweet attitude towards everyone. Aesthetic is super retro and gives off old school diner vibes. The fries were so good and my boyfriend loved the chicken burger he got. We also got the chocolate lava cake for dessert and that was also sooooo yummy.

Personally I didn’t eat anything from here since I don’t like sugar or dairy, but I was with friends and they really enjoyed their desserts. But the reason for the 5 stars is because of the owner, our car got hit by an impaired driver in front of the cafe and the owner came out and sorted everything out for us, he got us the drivers info and gave us the video footage and went above and beyond to help us. Also it’s a dessert cafe, it’s impossible to make bad dessert, so you should try it if you’re ever in the area.

I love the ambiance of this place. It’s like a retro type vibe - great for taking pics. The food was good. I really enjoyed the meals, but I was saddened by the fact that I couldn’t opt for curly fries instead of regular fries. The chicken tenders were well seasoned and tasted real good. The shrimp tasted good as well, but the flavour was really in the sauce volcano on top. The Ferraro Rocher milkshake was probably the best milkshake I’ve ever had. Will definitely go back for milkshakes and check out more items on their dessert menu.

Interior was clean, comfortable and very aesthetically pleasing. Even the bathrooms were clean and well looked after. Staff was friendly and communicative. The food portions were large and sufficient. The Something Meaty pizza was delicious! The shareable chicken platter was a good choice to have as it was filling with peri peri fries & unique cream cheese/jalapeño poppers. There are a lot of options available for desserts as well. I highly recommend this place for a casual dinner/dessert with friends; they’re open late too. Will be returning!

I visited on friday evening , i ordered biscoff milkshake, peri-peri burger. Dessert was good but the tenders used in the burger was not a good idea as it's not comfortable to eat as well as there's only bread crust and little bit of chicken with no taste. The environment was not clean even letting the server know about the used tissue papers on the floor and some waste stuff, he told us he will clean but he didn't cleaned until I finished my food. Very poor customer service by the server.

The place is cute but there some families there with kids and the music was not appropriate for kids so Definitely not family friendly. Service is great...food wasn't all that ...the sweet chili chicken strips was too cold and the sauce was cold as well...did not enjoy that.. The burger was 6/10 ...the curly fries were good....and the Asian salad was too dry and 3/4 of it was fried noodles....not really a salad. Was expecting much better to be honest after reading all the reviews...the 3 stars are for their customer service mainly.

The place looks amazing both inside and out. I've tried the pizza and most burgers on the menu. The food is alright, nothing special. It's not the type of place that's remembered for the food - more so the atmosphere and the milkshakes (which are amazing). This place seems busy but seems family run - you can see kids running around. The customer service is not the best - you aren't greeted and the people at the front are talking to each other rather than looking at the customers trying to order.

Great food the peri-peri pizza was good perfectly, exemplary customer service from Fahad who consistently made sure we were served punctually and had everything we needed. Great ambience. One of the best local restaurants in Toronto !

I always had a solid experience here. Their desserts are awesome but their shrimp is my favourite. The burgers are pretty good too. Awesome service albeit a bit slow and awesome vibes. However, this is a first for me...their indian customers are very rude. I saw two of them filming the waitress and another two making jokes and snickering. It's people like that who ruin the vibe for others.

I heard a lot of positive reviews about this place so I checked it out with my wife. This cafe lives up to the expectations. Ordered: Shrimp Simp, Peri-peri wings, and the Chili Chicken Pizza. All three items were delicious and saucy. Pizza cheese was amazing and the pizza was full of toppings. The prices were very fair and you get a lot of food. I would definitely recommend this place!

Tried their Tres Leches Cake and it was amazing. Tried Biscoff as well as Rose and both were awesome. Love to visit them every week Staff is also really good. Loved their ambiance. It has a very nice vibe.

It’s a hidden gem! Almost like a D-Spot, this place has got an incredible selection of items! Although their milkshakes are definitely on the pricier side, the taste was well worth it, and the rest of their food seems well priced. They’ve got regular foods as well as deserts so there’s something for everyone. And a very Instagram-able decor.

Peri Peri Fries had a bit of chilli flakes on it or something, that was good. Caesar salad was what you'd expect. Milkshake was good too. I would most likely go again to try out their other items.

Omg the food here was sooo amazing! My friend and I tried their chicken basket, which was so filling for 2 people. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the fries were to die for. Also the peri peri chicken pizza was delicious! I cannot wait to go back!

I just had a visit to this amazing place. Excellent service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered 5 milkshake they were quite busy still they manage to make our order on time.

A nice cafe to hang out with your friends or family for a little sweet hack. Great place and good staff. I tried their biscoff cheese cake which was filling and amazing. Next time I will definitely try out their milkshakes

I called earlier to ask if pets were allowed and they said yes and right when I got there they said they don’t allow dogs. Made me take 25 minute drive for nothing bad communication and the person was not nice at all

This place is so vibrant and chick on top of that They have a very good customer service. Food didn’t take too long too come. I loved thr chicken basket. Pizza was my absolute fav thin crust spicy chicken and tasty.

Amazing food and hospitality. The food was delayed, however, we received a delicious dessert to hold us off until the pizza was ready. Can’t wait to come back and try everything else on this menu. Highly recommend!

classic chicken burger was really good, and staff was super nice. Also, everything was fresh. They even gave us two cookies on the house. Definitely worth the price and the food quality was awesome.

Red Velvet Cookie was amazing. My friends and I went. I liked it more than the chocolate chip cookie. Red Velvet cookie all the way and we will be back!

A really large menu here and the aesthetic is super fun! I think their desserts were what I’d go back for, but definitely a great spot for some comfort food.
