We are full time RV-ers and have traveled all over the country staying at more r.v. parks than we can count. So when I give a rating I truly try to be as forthcoming as possible. Our visit was for two days and To me this is a 3.75 star campsite. The pricing is on the higher end of fair, if you make reservations and stay three nights you get the fourth free all summer long which turns it into excellent pricing. It is very clean. The connections were modern and easy. The Wi-Fi was superb. Bathrooms were tidy and operational. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Last but not least the staff were attentive factual and polite hence the fourth star. They were direct and upfront regarding their refund policies so plan accordingly. Truth is all the above is what should be delivered by a professional business. And should be expected by it's clientele. Reasons why I don't rate a 5 star is as follows: 1. The park is in a more industrial area and although the park is very clean and very well maitained the surrounding neighborhood is not as pleasing to the eye. 2. The name Riverwalk gives the impression that it is in very close proximity to the the actual riverwalk. When I asked how far I was told 3-4 miles. It's definitely a car ride rather that a bike ride. And is about a 10 minutes away via auto. 3. Made the reservation on the road 2 hours prior to getting here. I asked for a shady spot and I think I was given the only space without a tree. There were plenty with shade available during our stay. I think the tradeoff was we were right next to the WiFi antennae! So that's give and take. Overall, if you are visiting San Antonio and looking for a space this isn't a bad spot, especially if you will be spending most of your time seeing the sights as it is accessible to the major roads.
Sad to say goodbye in a few days. Mission City RV Park was recommended to us by a friend. I was a bit hesitant to stay here only because of location but I am so glad we did. The location is actually perfect. It is very close to downtown and minutes to the AT&T Center, Willow Springs Golf Course, and Ft. Sam. There is a really nice and clean park nearby (perfect for picnics and for kids to play), and a paved trail that goes for miles (perfect for walkers, runners, and bikers alike). This place is super clean, quiet, and friendly. It has a great pool, very well maintained dog park, laundry facility, bathrooms, showers, and a pavilion, all kept in immaculate condition. There are picnic tables at every site and firepits available for use (just inform the office). There are very large chess and checker sets, and other games (made by Rubin on staff). Speaking of the the staff, this team, led by Fred are all amazingly helpful and friendly. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, respected, and a part of the community here. We are new full timers and this was our first stop for a few months. The staff keep this place CLEAN! I mean, they are out every day, inspecting, picking up any trash that might have blown in, etc. They are constantly painting, touching up, mowing, etc. It is run with pride and ownership, the way anything should be. It is contagious too, as we noticed most residents and short stays do an amazing job of keeping their areas and the park clean as well. We had zero safety or security issues, and absolutely appreciate everyone here. We made some new friends and will be back. We are sad to be leaving but the road is calling us. :) See you again, Mission City RV. Thanks Fred and crew! :) - Dave Staton

The park was clean and the pool was very nice, sites are roomy. Low rating due to several issues. Used the laundry room, on a 95 degree day there was no place to turn on lights or ceiling fans. Showers are big, not too clean. One shower has at the cord for a fan for the hallway going under the door and open outlets in the ceiling. Exhaust fan doesn't work (saw this in a previous review). Beware, this RV park is on a busy street and you hear all the big trucks thumping up and down the street all night. I realize they can't do anything about this but still a concern if you sleep lightly. My biggest reason for the bad review is this. I made my reservation about a 2 weeks before we traveled. When I show up there is a sign that says" Fourth night FREE, All Summer". I inquired about this and they said it only applies to RESERVATIONS made after July (can't remember day). I did receive a AAA discount but the 4th night free would have been a better discount. Not sure why the discount wouldn't apply when it was active during my stay. I gave them 2 stars just because the park is clean and spacious. Edited: Someone from the park contacted me about my concerns and offered to refund the difference between the discount I received and the one advertised. As promised, a check showed up within days. Happy about the response and apparent concern with my issues. Upgraded my review to reflect this, thank you for reaching out to me!
We absolutely loved our stay here and will be coming back next time we’re in San Antonio! Nothing but good vibes here. We came here last minute because previous accommodations had fallen through. The lovely staff were able to find us a spot despite the fact that we were staying during Rodeo month (their busiest time of year). We have a small rig, so we were happy to move around the park a little if it meant getting to stay here for the duration of our time in SA (about 2 weeks). The staff were so wonderful in helping us work that out, and I even enjoyed the process. The residents are fantastic too! We got to meet many long-term residents and enjoyed every interaction. They were so welcoming. ❤️ The grounds themselves are nice and clean, and the community is gated, which helped me feel very safe. Very clean onsite bathrooms, a heated pool, and well kept laundry facilities. (I was impressed you can pay with an app to use the laundry and didn’t have to bother with coins if you didn’t want to!) Very close to downtown and the Alamo, and right down the road from the AT&T Center (where the Rodeo is held, in addition to many other events throughout the year). You can easily get to anywhere in San Antonio from here. Full hookups at every site, and we got full bars of 5G+ on our AT&T phones. As I said, we’ll be back again and look forward to seeing the friends we made during our stay!
During our stay of what was supposed to be an entire week, we got booted because of the virus scare. Linda in the office informed us that of course we would be getting all of our money refunded to us. That was not the case at all. After calling for 3 days, still no refund. I spoke with a Debra who was completely rude and said we will not be getting a refund. I finally got in touch with a manager named Fred. He informed me that yes, we will get back 150 of the 250 we paid. Still no receipt or email confirmation at this point. Linda called back and informed me that she never would say that we would get a refund. She is just trying to salvage her job I am sure. She was so happy that they are refunding anything because in her words, they never ever ever refund money. We travel a lot and by far, the customer service was below par at best. They are untruthful and during a crisis they took advantage of people. We had no clue that they would literally close the entire town of San Antonio. The nerve of a business taking advantage of travelers during the worst crisis the nation has seen in a long time is disgraceful. It is now day 5 and still no money or receipt. I will be contacting the BBB and my bank to report them.

We stayed here for a month and we'll miss It! Clean bathrooms, nice pool. Doggy area a bit small, most people don't clean up after their dogs so you'll need to up so that your dog doesn't step in it. Staff are pleasant but one stands out Henry, he is friendly helpful and kind. We'll miss him driving by each morning with a smile and a friendly wave. Most people keep to themselves but we did meet some wonderful people that Live there due to working in the area or military. The bus stops right outside and for $2.75 you can get an all-day pass which is well worth to see the area. They have a community area for firepits and gatherings but nothing was planned during our stay. It seems the owner has put in and is still putting in a lot of work to make the park cleaner and more pleasant. It's gated and you need a code to enter. We felt very safe. It's a bit noisy due to the trucks next door but after the 1st night you hardly notice it and I'm a light sleeper. All in all, this is a wonderful park! If you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs up and check out our other reviews as we travel around our beautiful county!! Thank you
Great and friendly people. Kid friendly! They where always nice to my son and daughter when they went to get the mail. Gated community with bus stop at end of drive. Spacious lot size! I had my rv spot plus enough room for 3 cars to park. Back in and pull through lots!On-site laundry and shower facilities. The residents are wonderful people. The staff keep the park clean. The spacious bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned daily. The heated pool was a great relief during the winter time for me and my children. They have a pavilion for parties and several grills ,smokers, and and fire pits you can check out for free. I stayed her for almost a year for work and hated to leave. Thank you Fred and your staff for a wonderful stay. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect for exploring historic sites and biking on a nearby trail and park. Lots of convenient and tasty restaurants and cafes with good Tex-Mex and barbecue. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The facilities were clean. The laundry room was spotless and spacious with many machines. There were sanitizing cloths and bins for clean and used cloths that were well stocked. COVID guidelines were followed. The pool was nice and heated! The showers and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. They have many barbecue grills that are available to borrow you need one. It was our first longer-term experience with our little RV so we had a couple deliveries of medication and on-line orders and we were promptly notified by the office when they arrived. The park is gated and felt secure. I’d highly recommend it. If we end up in San Antonio in the future we’ll definitely stay here again. One more thing, they have a little dog park. We no longer have one but it’s pretty convenient.

This RV park is located in a very bad area. We were so disappointed when we drove up to the park. The lady that works there and showed us to our spot was obnoxious to say the least. We were very tired from traveling and she kept leaning into our truck to talk, which made our small dog bark. I finally had to tell her to stop talking so we could get out and set up. Very over crowded and the spots were so close together that even if we wanted to put our awning out we wouldnt of been able too. Luckily one of our neighbors was never there. The other neighbor had their kids toys all over and their cooler kept blowing in our spot. We could hear their kids running inside their trailer all the time (that's how close we were). On the other side of the fence that we were by, were loud trucks. It was obvious that many people lived at the park full time, year round. We left a week early because we couldnt stand it anymore ( we stayed 21 days as is). We would of left sooner but we already paid and there are no refunds. We would of given this a big fat "0" but that wasnt an option.
Made reservations and paid for a concrete pad pull through with full hook up five months before arrival. We I arrived they put me in a gravel back in and had to disconnect the towed vehicle in a no parking fire lane at their insistence. I was told that they reserve the right to move me when ever they choose and not honor my reservation. They did not care to acknowledge the fact that I specified where I wanted to park my coach and showed them the confirmation number. I pointed to empty concrete pad pull throughs but they insisted that I may not go there. They had my money at the time of reservation and would not consider a refund which I asked for. I asked why I was not notified of their decision not to honor the reservation so I could go elsewhere but was not provided with any response. There are many good RV camp grounds in the San Antonio area. This one has many long term residents and old RVs. Do NOT even think of coming here. They do not honor their words and you may end up on the street as they may decide not to let you in.
We loved our week at Mission City RV Park. The staff are wonderful and accomodating. They really strive to ensure that you are well cared for and happy during your stay. The park is located in an industrial area, mixed with a low income neighborhood, however it is quiet, safe and gated. I never had a moment's concern about safety. Minutes from downtown San Antonio, with everything this beautiful city has to offer. There is a bus stop outside the main entrance to the resort and the #24 bus gets you downtown in 18 minutes. We purchased our Via bus pass online and were able to ride for 7 days on the $6 senior pass. Our site provided some shade, was large and level and well spaced. There are ample washers and dryers in the laundry room, and the showers are cleaned daily and private. I highly recommend this lovely resort.

Secure, gated community. Well lit.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. The sites are fairly level and required minimal adjustments from our hydraulic levelers. Very dog friendly but no dedicated dog area. They are apparently working on various upgrades, so some sites are better than others when it comes to power and cable TV options. Also some sites are closer together in certain sections. The pool was closed for the season but it looked well maintained. The showers are in separated rooms with a sink and toilet. They supply them with quality toilet paper you'd use at home, which is a surprisingly nice touch. Wi-Fi is actually good enough for video streaming, sometimes. It usually gets too slow to do so in the evenings. The Wi-Fi works better on larger devices like laptops and tablets, but it was hard to keep a signal on our smartphones. We stayed here for two weeks and would definitely come back once all their upgrades are complete.
It is a nice park. Sadly far too many fulltimers with some rundown looking trailers. Washrooms and laundry are clean but only one set far from where we were parked. Same with the dumpster. We were led to our site which is nice. Our pullthru was long enough for our MH and trailer with room for our car as well. Level concrete pad and a picnic table. Good water pressure. Close to bike paths and the city bus which was great for going into the city for the Alamo etc. Staff was very knowledgeable. Park is gated as are most in the area. Pool water was clean but the bottom needs a serious vacuum. The pool is the only amenity. The park itself is quiet but sadly they are located next to a heavy equipment business. Not their fault but there is constant beeping from about 4 am till late in the evening even on weekends. Yes we were parked next to the yard. Would come back for a night or two but not longer.
I have been a monthly patron since June 2017. When I arrived I greatly enjoyed the green grass, but before rodeo season (February) the park was sold. The previous owner sold the lot as a 150 spaces, but it wasn’t truly. Over a couple of days a crew dumped recycled concrete in many of the areas with that green grass. This is not small gravel base, but large pieces of rock. During rodeo season the entire park was filled, with RVs of every size literally on top of each other. I was told this wouldn’t continue after rodeo season, but I have a class A, and a large 5er on each side at the time of writing this review...[We are sharing a six foot wide porch]. If you are considering this park, be forewarned. It is crowded, and there’s no discount for sharing “yard” space with your neighbors. Paying $638 a month for one amenity (pool), and having zero personal space, isn’t worth it any longer.
Great RV Park for exploring the San Antonio region. Fred the manager is a wealth of information on what you must see while in SA. The rest of the staff we interacted with are very friendly and willing to help in anyway they can. Laundry was inexpensive and clean, the clean heated pool was delightful to cool off on the few hot days we experienced late Dec. While it's an older park there have been significant improvements like concrete pads and Internet access at each site, as we were here for a month we purchased high speed from Spectrum for $55. Other parks in the area are more than double in cost, for best value we highly recommend Mission City. Easy bus access to downtown, but if you like walking park for free at Roosevelt Park 3 miles south of downtown, or to see downtown in the evening park for free at Market Place after 5pm on Tues. City operated so no risk of towing scams
This place took me off by surprise but in a good way. I was searching for places near San Antonio on google and this place popped up. We always stayed at koa when we’re in town but we decided we wanted to try a different camp site and chose this one and we’re so glad we did. We stayed at site 127a for 4 nights. The site was a pull through and was easy to pull through and park. When we were leaving we did have to back out of site due to the Position of the site. But we did back out with ease with our 34ft trailer. Will we return, absolutely!! we loved this park. It was nice , quiet and peaceful. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park too which was just a small walk from our campsite. Also if your a good Sam member they do accept that here. Thank you mission city for our wonderful stay. We will be sure to book here when we visit San Antonio next time.
The employees here are very nice. However, the dogs here are not well regulated. Setting up, my son stepped into a pile of dog poop right next to the water connection. Someone's dog pooped there everyday of our stay. The two dogs near our camper were let out to use the bathroom with no leash or clean up following. There was a doberman pinscher about three spots down tied to a leash outside who ran to the end of that (6ft or so) leash barking at me on the way to the bathroom. I had to warn my kids not to walk in the direction of that camper. The bathrooms were just ok. The water went off around noon on our last day and as of the next morning they were still trying to get water pressure to half of the park. It was an annoyance, but they did have a company there trying to fix the problem. We stayed at this facility for 5 nights.
We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a very enjoyable time. This is an older rv park under new management but they are doing upgrades to it on a daily basis. It is well maintained and in a perfect location. Right on the bus to go downtown so you don't have to fight for a parking space. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly with everything from tourist tips to places to go get groceries. They have a military discount but they have a deal on the weekly rate that was cheaper. Pool was open and well maintained. We actually saw them cleaning it each week. Bathrooms are older but well maintained and very clean. Only downside was the wifi would go out occasionally at night which we summed up as "lots of rvs so lots of people on it". If we find ourselves in the San Antonio area again we will definitely be staying here!
We stayed here for the fall season and am very happy with how well we were treated while there. Fred and the team made us feel very welcome and took care of any issues right away. The park has new owners and it is great to see the investments they are doing to the park. You can tell they are passionate about providing a great experience for customers. I had a contract working downtown and it was less than 10 minutes from the hospital. There is also a bus stop right in front of the park, so it was very easy to go downtown. The prices are very reasonable for how close you are to the Riverwalk. It is just a nice simple campground that was a very nice stop for the winter with potlucks to allow you to share stories and help you get to know your fellow campers. We will definitely be back when we are back in the area.
I entered a very clean office and was greeted by Melissa who had a very pleasant attitude. She was very helpful with all questions I had and she explained in detail information concerning the park. She was very prompt and quick with paperwork and nicely showed us to our site. The grounds were are very clean and very nice looking. We decided to stay an extra day and again Melissa made the transaction very easy even though it was after hours. We also love that there was much to see and do near by. Our entire stay was amazing. Thank you Melissa and Mission City RV Park. We will certainly recommend you to our friends. ❤️

Very pleased with this park. Easy to get around the roads and it is very well maintained. We used the heated pool yesterday until a lot of little kids and their parents came around 5 pm. Note to self: go earlier. We were in the overnight section for 2 nights...$63 per night with the Good Sam Discount. They said the wifi wasn’t very good, but we had no problems with it, it was great. Lots of over the air tv channels, good water pressure, well placed utilities. Concrete pads were very level and nice with the way they staggered the placement...making it seem very roomy. We had no shade in this section, but AC works well. The park is right behind the #24 bus that goes by every 18 minutes to take you to the Riverwalk area. We would definitely stay at this place again! Lots of big rigs and bus RV’s.
This has been our 14th year coming here. every February, for the San Antonio Livestock Show. The changes here have been remarkable ! Before the roads in here were gravel and lots of old trees that needed to be trimmed, no security and people could come and go as they pleased! Now alot of trees have been removed or trimmed to look nice and all the roads are paved and a large rod iron security fence and gate!! They also have free wifi throughout the RV park and a clean beautiful swimming pool. Wow when you come now it's clean and you feel safe!! Yes the price has gone up but for all the improvements it's worth it!! I've met most of the employees and they all have a smile on their face and always want to know if they can help you with something Recommend this place highly!
We were in San Antonio for medical care for 13 months. We lived at Mission City RV Park for 10 months and it was the nicest park with the nicest people! We had toured every RV park that allowed long term parking in the area including in Shertz and New Braunsfels. We did live in another San Antonio Park for 3 months before finding Mission City and it was nice also but the lots were too small. Mission City had what we needed, a laundry; what we wanted, a pool, nice size lots, nice people. The price was a bit higher than most but having a gated community that made us feel safe and at home was worth it and the manager, the great office personnel, the many wonderful maintenance personnel as well as the military families and other travelers were the best!
I called ahead and made reservations. After arriving and paying full price, the owner showed up. He told his employee that he does not allow school buses in his park. In spite of the fact that my bus is neat and clean, and the fact that the Rental Contract was complete, he demanded his employee to ”Get rid of me.” Then he left the premise and ran like a coward, forcing his employee to deliver the news and take the heat. I treated his employee with respect. That is more than the boss did. If I had broken the contract, I get charged for one night stay. If owner breaks contract, he has no penalty. It is not the best park around anyway. It left me in unfamiliar town, after dark, and with no reservations. Rating of ONE because there is no ZERO.
I have been at Riverwalk RV for 2 weeks and have been impressed with how clean this park is..No trash and people are always working, mowing and cleaning. The office staff have been nice and very helpful. After reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned but have been pleasantly surprised how much I like this park. The KOA is just down the street but their rates are higher and they do not give extended stay discount. The bus is right out front of the park and it will take you down town. The city of San Antonio gives great deals for Seniors..bus passes. The bathroom/showers are clean and secure. Pets are welcome and they have a large pet area. I wish the fence around the pet park was taller. I feel this is a great RV park.
We recently PCS'd to Fort Sam Houston and were not able to stay at the RV Park located on post and were told that we should have made a reservation a year ago. We called Riverwalk and Fred assisted us with getting a site immediately. We have been treated very well here and the folks that work here are extremely friendly, honest and fair! We were accidentally overcharged, and they discovered this and refunded us right away. Now, as to the conditions of the park - the sites are roomy with plenty of space. They have a beautiful pool, a very nice dog park and VERY clean restrooms with showers. We have met several campers here and every one of them has only positive things to say about this park. I would definitely stay here again.
I've been staying at the River Walk RV Park for a few months now and have nothing bad to say about it at all. They're constantly working hard to make the park better and better everyday with the latest being the new pool deck that just got completed a couple days ago. The bathroom facilities are cleaned multiple times a day and landscaping is always performed to keep the park looking great. The management has always been great since day one and very accommodating! The park is only a few miles from downtown San Antonio and only a couple miles from the AT&T Center with a bus stop at the main entrance to the park. I highly recommend visiting San Antonio and staying at the park for at least a week to take in all the sites!!!
Friendly and helpful staff. We loved staying here for a convention! If we are ever in the area again, we will be back to use the pool!

Excellent RV park. Lots of improvements being made including new large rig sites. Majority of the sites have new concrete slabs that you park your unit on. Water pressure was great, no issues with electric. Staff courteous and helpful. You can take the bus downtown to the Alamo and all the missions and the Riverwalk. The only reason I didn’t rate this place 5 stars is the showers could be better. Showers are combined with restrooms and construction workers also used this facility leaving dirt and mud on the floors and showers. I’d love to see a better shower facility for the guests. BUT WITH THAT SAID I’d still recommend this RV park. Which in time will become a resort!! Come give’em a try. You’ll enjoy.
When we arrived a day early, Management greeted us with a big smile, and accommodated us with no problems at all. When we had to stay later than originally planned...once again...the big smile, and accommodations were made. Didn't even have to change sites! The on site Management goes above and beyond to make one feel welcome. They have taken over an older park, and are literally transforming it. It is already sooo nice! Immaculate bathrooms and laundry area. Beautiful pool area. Nicely fenced in dog park. And they had planned activities over Halloween. We have plans to return the end of the year, and can't imagine what more they will have accomplished. It is now our "go to" RV park when in San Antonio!
We stayed here for quick access to the River Walk. This park is now called Alamo City RV Park. They have installed new concrete slabs, gravel, grass, new sites, and the bathrooms look remodeled! A little bit of space in between the sites and in early March this park was only 40 % full. Laundry room is big, bathroom showers are private, outdoor pool is heated, and they say your name when you check in! Love the customer obsession here and amenities. Close to a busy road but it didn’t bother us for the night. Also construction that had has reroute our trip but that is just part of life. Access to public bus stop that will take you to The river walk and Uber’s show up in less than 10 minutes. Love it!
I will start by saying that the staff was very nice on the phone and when we arrived. They are the only reason we are giving them two stars. We were sandwiched in so close to people (on both sides) that we could hear everything going on in the rig next door. Bad neighborhood. Not close to the River Walk or much of anything else. Over priced for the area and lack of space. Internet was not strong enough to get any work done. We stayed four nights, then needed to leave town two nights early. They would not refund our last two nights. Not worth the $43 a night. I certainly did not get what I paid for. If you stay here, ask for one of the lots up front by the office that has grass.
Mission City has the kindest, most helpful staff ever. The park was close to all the activities we wanted to be part of. The staff gave us a wealth of information for things to do in San Antonio. The park was very well kept. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This park is ok for a urban stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. The restroom is clean and grounds clean. The park is surrounded by industrial areas with heavy trucks operating right over the fences so it can be noisy. We found the positive outweighs the negatives as long as you understand this is a tight city industrial location. The good side is it's convenient for siteseeing San Antonio. The bus comes right to the entrace so no need to drive and hassle with downtown traffic or parking. I normally would give an RV park like this 3 stars, however the staff here in the office made our visit easy and a pleasure. So 4 stars it is.
I could not have been more pleased with my stay at this location. At first I was somewhat concerned because of its location in a relatively commercial area, but it proved to be incredibly quiet and extremely convenient for all of the areas I needed to access while visiting San Antonio. Every aspect of my stay was pleasant. I love the way the park is laid out. The staff in the office were very friendly and accommodating. Nice laundry facilities. I was very pleased. Definitely will stay again next time I'm in San Antonio.

Great location to downtown San Antonio Texas. I was able to fit our 40 foot fifth wheel with three slide outs no problem. They had full hook ups. There is a business right behind the campground that is kind of noisy but I’m from Detroit so it didn’t bother me. Staff was super friendly. Laundry room was fantastic. Showers were so nice. I love the way the owner has decorated the campground. I did not take any photos. It was cold, we were there for Thanksgiving so I did not swim in the pool. And if you don’t want to have to drive and park downtown and walk around, the bus stops right out front and takes you right to the Alamo.
What a Fantastic staff!! We were assigned to a back-in lot that did not have a cement patio. When I explained to Jeremy that my wife has an allergy to ants and insects he quickly went in action. Even though the park was full of campers in town for the rodeo Fred (the park manager) was able to shuffle reservations around so he could re-assign us to a lot with a cement patio. Jeremy was quick to escort/guide us to the new lot. What a blessing this staff has been to my family, recognizing our need and taking immediate action. Pending availability the River Walk RV Park will be the only park we will use when in San Antonio.
Fairly nice, quiet RV Park. Has full hook-ups, a salt water pool, bath house, and laundry. All sites seem big enough for all sizes of RV's. Our RV and tow dolly with the car attached, fit in our spot without a problem. It's about 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio by public bus, which stops in front of the park. It can get a little pricey to keep using the bus, if you stay several days.... so we unhitched after trying the bus for 2 days. Plus the bus stop areas in downtown San Antonio are a little confusing. The bus has to go through some pretty run down parts of town also. All in all, the RV park was fine.
The Mission City RV Park was very convenient to drive to and, best of all, the City bus stops right in front, making it easy to get to downtown San Antonio in less that a half hour. It is only $2.75 for a 24 hour day pass to ride the bus. Much easier and cheaper than trying to find parking downtown. The restrooms and showers were clean. We even squeezed in some laundry time. There were plenty of machines available. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when visiting San Antonio.

We enjoyed our stay at Mission City on our way back home to Kentucky from Big Bend National Park. We had truck issues that had to be taken care of at San Antonio Dodge and Fred at Misdion City was fantastic in getting us a camping spot that would allow us to stay extra nights if needed for truck repairs. Thankfully our truck was fixed in 2 hours and we were able leave on our time table. I would highly recommend Mission City for your camping needs while in San Antonio. The staff was always very helpful and professional. Plus bus stop on sight to take you to Riverwalk or anywhere else you need to go.
1st time visiting Mission City RV and very new to camping. The site was very well kept and orderly. They have a pool, laundry facilities, and showers that are well maintained. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. There is even a bus stop right at the site entrance that takes you directly to the riverwalk. Being gated makes the stay even more comfortable. The staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful. I honestly can say that anytime I'm going to San Antonio in the future, I will be staying at Mission RV. Hopefully I will be able to get my same spot! LOL

We stayed for a month. Got to know the staff, including Chance. Anything we needed was just a phone call away. I highly recommend Mission City RV Park for a stay in San Antonio, Texas. Now off to another adventure for us, but we will return to this RV park in the future.

Nice gated RV park with a bus stop right out front of the office. Go to any place you want, including the Alamo within a reasonable amount of time. Buses are secure too.

I have lived at the River Walk RV park for the past 9 months and I have nothing but good things to say! The staff are always accommodating and very pleasant to interact with on a daily basis. I have never once felt unsafe for my own safety or the safety of my possessions. The facilities are well-maintained and the pool feels great during the hot Texas summers. Lastly, the free wifi is AMAZING with good coverage throughout the park and fast speeds most days. Overall, I have loved living at the River Walk RV park and would highly recommend for both short and long-term stays!
Great location for visiting Downtown San Antonio, The Alamo & Riverwalk. Easy public transportation available right outside the gate if you want to save $$ on city parking. This is a clean, well maintained park with ample laundry facilities and clean private showers. Gated and secure with helpful staff. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean & inviting. The dog run was a good size for our pups as well. Nice shop with many necessities and to make it even sweeter they have quite a few flavors of Blue Bell Ice Cream! We stayed two nights to see the sights.
We recently stayed at Mission City and enjoyed our stay. It is central to everything in San Antonio and provides a good base for your visit. They have a good dog park which we made use of and I enjoyed their decorations around the park. It is well maintained but could use a slightly larger laundry room for its size. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked like a good set up. There was an ice storm north of us the day we were supposed to leave and we had no issue extending our stay. Thanks Mission City for everything!

Great experience! My wife and I stayed here one night to spend a day exploring San Antonio. Took full advantage of the laundry and dog park they have on site. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. Our jack broke the morning we were meant to leave and they were completely understanding in us taking a bit longer to roll out than planned. Everyone we had an interaction with during our stay was very nice and welcoming, we felt very comfortable and safe staying here. If we plan to visit San Antonio in the future we know where we are staying!
We give this park a 5 star. Spots are easy to maneuver. Decorated with cute fixtures everywhere!! They work hard to keep it clean and the painting of the picnic tables is awesome!!! People were very friendly in the office. Pool could be a little bigger but hey they have a pool! We only stayed here for 3 nights to see the Alamo and the Riverwalk and this was the perfect place. Bus picks you up right out front for $5.50 a couple for 24 hours. So convenient!! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks San Antonio for showing us a good time!!
This campground was a super find for us. Plain and simple - everything you need and nothing you don't. Completely secured campground, full hook up, level concrete site, 50amp service, better than average WiFi, excellent laundry facility, short walk to mass transit into great San Antonio. (We never used the showers or pool so - no comment.) We've paid a lot more at other places and got a lot less. Need recommendations? Ask Fred - he's the best! We stayed a week and we'll be back.

I found this place to be delightful. Grounds are well kept. People (including full-timers) are friendly. Loved our stay here. Restrooms/shower rooms were immaculate. Laundry facilities immaculate as well. The pool was excellent. It’s obvious that the owner’s here take great pride in maintaining their property . Kudos to you. I highly recommend this rv park. The campers are close together but it wasn’t an issue. This place is quiet and respectful. Decent price as well. Thank you for being so thoughtful during the month we stayed there.
The staff here make this place great. Grounds are average, but will be changing. They're going through a major renovation (we were told will take 3 years) after the owner purchased two adjacent RV parks and is undergoing the arduous task of running power lines under ground, etc, so there's a bit of construction going on. Nothing that interfered with our stay. (We were placed in the area with concrete pads, which were pretty flat.) Lots of friendly people, and we can't wait to return in a few years to see what they do to the place!
The staff here our some of the nicest and most helpful people we have meet along our journeys of the road. We had some solar issues in our schoolie. And they let us stay the night and recharge our system. They even sent out there matience person. He brought all his tools and was so helpful, refilled our water, did our laundry, took showers( which where very clean) they property is beautiful. Very well kept. And there pool was amazing. All this for $25. I’ll be back next time we’re traveling through. Thank you guys......
We stayed here for 4 days. My first impression wasn't to think it was a high-end resort. But after checking in, the staff made us feel at home. Friendly, went above and beyond. The resort itself is small but very clean. WiFi wasn't any good, but what park has good wifi? The area around the resort would be described as an industrial area. But once inside the gated entry, you had a feeling of being in your own little world. It's a 10-15 minute drive to Riverwalk /Alamo area. We would definitely stay here again!
Super nice staff also after hours. Two stars only because the restrooms smell really badly and there is mould in AC. Also, they charge extra for any person above 2, which makes the place the most expensive on our road trip from Miami to San Antonio. The pool is very tiny. Although the location is good the place is also very noisy at night.

Really nice park. Grounds are well kept and a lot of neat metal art through out the park. Host are very friendly and helpful. There is also a dog park within the facility. Secure gate that require a code to enter and multiple exits. Wifi was absolutely great with a strong signal. We were parked in the middle of the park. Other RV parks should take note, since most of them have week signals that nobody can use. The park is very close to the alamo and the river walk. I would definitely stay there again.
While listed as big rig friendly it's a super tight fit. Once the park finishes the placement of new sites along the wall it will be near to impossible to get a true big rig in one of their new spots. First time ever we received a call from the office asking when we will be leaving. The way the sites are laid out our neighbor couldn't leave until we moved. The positive was having the city bus stop within walking distance. Good park if your small. If your big, move on to a true big rig friendly park.
Look forward to staying at this park again this weekend. Missed last year but stayed the previous 3 years. Travel cross country each year from California to Ontario Canada in spring and back in the fall. Each fall we have stayed 4 to 6 weeks. Enjoy relaxing from our travels and the easy location for the many opportunities exploring San Antonio. The park is secure. Staff helpful and facilities great. This should be expected but isn't always the case at all parks as traveling one can only hope.
Made reservations 2 months in advance. Arrived at RV park and was assigned an site. While waiting for employee on golf cart to escort us to site we were informed that a motorhome before us would not fit in their assigned site so they were getting ours. We were squeezed into a tight spot in the back. Feel like we got treated like a stepchild. We did not get any money back. We paid $65 per night for a cramped site. My awning was 3 feet off neighbors rv. Will stay down road at KOA in future.
Spent three nights here with two friends on our trip to the Grand Canyon with several stops in route. Lovely, friendly park that was very well maintained. Fred and Shirley were extremely helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs.. They were also very informative about what to do and how to get there. Convenient location for exploring the Alamo and River Walk in beautiful San Antonio

We love this rv park. It is immaculate, wonderful staff and a special thank you to Chance in the office who walked our dog and let him out to go potty while we visited the Alamo and Riverwalk. A bus stops right in front of park and takes you downtown to the Alamo and Riverwalk. The showers are large and very clean. The laundry is also immaculate. This is a fully gated park with codes to enter all facilities.

If you're looking for a home base to park at and explore SA this one is it. The staff was always very pleasant and knowledgeable. They moved me up closer to the main building so we could be closer to the bath house which was clean and stocked. The pads are level concrete and well lit. Public transit stops right in front so it's very easy to get to the Riverwalk and back on the cheap. For the price, it can't be beat!

This RV park has been purchased by new owners and is wonderful! This is where we will stay now anytime we come to S.A. It is not, however, close to the River Walk. My husband and I enjoyed the pool. We usually stay at KOA, but can not ever get into the pool because of so many kiddos. I love children, but really enjoyed River Walk because of the adults staying there. KOA caters to families, which is great. Kudos to new owners of River Walk. Clean and wonderful updates.
My husband and I have stayed at this park several times. It is centrally located, peaceful, and well managed. We have high regard for the owners/manager and we have never had any safety/security concerns. The location is perfect as you have easy access to any freeway and are just a few miles away from the downtown San Antonio area. There is also a park with hiking trails along the Salado Creek nearby. I highly recommend River Walk RV Park in the heart of San Antonio!
We spent 4 nights here while exploring San Antonio. The park is clean and organized, and the front desk staff are SUPER helpful! They provide you with maps, guides, and tell you about how to get around. The bus stop is just in front of the park and easily takes you to the Alamo and other points of interest. We saw long-term residents and plenty of short-term ones. The laundry is convenient and clean. This is a really good location for staying in San Antonio.
Fred, Jennifer and Carla were the nicest people making us feel so welcome. We felt we were all best friends by time we left. The restrooms were very clean as well as the entire park. Popcorn and fruit was alway available in the office along with good conversation. Painted Lady Bugs were hidden throughout the park and they ask that we take one and send pictures of our travels with our new lady bug. We would definitely stay there anytime we visit San Antonio.
My wife and I spent the past two nights at Mission City RV in San Antonio. It ranks as one of the best RV parks we’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Everything is clean, clean, clean. Good bathrooms and nice hot showers, the grounds are kept nice and tidy. The staff was beyond helpful, finding ways to satisfy even unreasonable requests. Highly recommended.

Over priced, one of the workers, Fred I believe, is pushy about bus schedules. I came from a long drive and did not want to hear about the bus and when it arrived or where it arrived at the moment that I arrived. Additional charges seem unnecessary considering the rates given already. The bathrooms and showers were unclean. It seems very disorganized. Other employees were very nice, but I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience.
I have been here for 3 years and as a Army veteran tia staff and management go above and beyond to always make sure my stay was the best, and as a bonus centrally located with military discount. Place is extremely clean and organized, heated pool and facilities cleans as can be, they have periodic events to have the community pass the time, they are the true embodiment of Texas always welcoming alway genuine, will definitely miss this place
Such a great place and nice park! Awesome staff !!, pool and dog area, with parking areas, safe, with a cool community and right on the main bus route to take you 15 minutes to the super sites and places of San Antonio. This website is outdated-- The park has been way upgraded now. Bring your own wifi because the park wifi is awful !

This place was great. Very clean. Very quiet. The people here are the nicest people you've ever met. Close to everything. Alamo was a 7min trip with traffic. Pool was very clean and nice. One of the most level pads I've ever parked on. Try to get site 128. Pool is 50ft away kids loved it. I can't say enough good things about this place. We will stay here again and again.

Stayed 3 nights on our way through San Antonio. The Staff was very friendly and helpful telling us about the bus system right in front of the park to take to the river walk in San Antonio, told us you needed exact change and made change for us. I loved the laundry facility it was bright, clean and only cost $3.00 to wash and dry. The park was clean and lots were large. I would recommend this park. We parked in a Motorhome
My husband and I are here from Georgia. This is one of the nicest ever parks we have stayed at. The whole staff was wonderful ,the bathrooms and showers were always clean, the staff patrols the area all the time making sure you don’t need anything. If we ever come by this way again we will be staying here again. I would love to come back and check out all the other upgrades they are doing around the park.
Stayed in a pull through, for a few months. The staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. And there is a nice Pavillion where the staff organized a pot luck. Lots of fun. Enjoyed the pool, would go in the mornings for my excerise. It is kept very clean. The bus stop is right out front and took me straight to the Alamo and downtown. I enjoyed my stay and would go back. Jody
Will stay again! The management team was very nice and very accommodating. The grounds keepers were always out keeping the park nice and improving it all the time. Bathrooms and showers were always kept clean and stocked. Washer and dryer area has been repainted. They don't have cable yet, but they do have a good selection of dvds to watch from the office. P.S. Make sure and ask how Wilson is doing!! :D
You’re crazy not to stop here it’s just a few minutes from the Alamo in the Riverwalk but people are just so nice to live and stay at the park the staff are amazing helpful and funny. The pool is open late and wonderful you are saltwater really if you’re coming through the area you must stay in San Antonio and you must stay at Mission city RV resort! I’m coming back for a longer stay!!!!
One of the best RV parks that we have ever been to. It is a very clean well maintained Park. It also has a nice clean big laundry mat and pool. But it is the personnel that makes this park exceptional. Shout out to the charming lady that I made my reservation with and then to the wonderful man that when we checked in gave us so much information and help with our tourist stuff.
Overall, this is a very nice place to stay. The staff is very, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, the grounds are very clean, and it has a smaller size dog park that is nice. We did not use the bathroom or showers, however the laundromat was clean with a nice amount of washers and dryers. The only reason I did not give it five stars is I wish there was more grass.
We really enjoyed our stay, and the cleanliness of the amenities and friendliness of the staff exceeded our expectations! We would definitely stay here again! We used the pool, the showers and laundry room with no issue or hassle. The park was full when we were there, and at capacity it would be helpful to have a few more shower rooms or a full set of separate Restrooms.
Very nice RV park. The park was very well maintained and safe. The city bus stop is out front and very easy to access downtown, The Alamo and River Walk. We never disconnected the Jeep from the motorhome. I would highly recommend this park if you are planning a trip to San Antonio.

The Park was quiet and clean. They have a theme with metal art that lights up at night and was a nice vibe there. Amenities were great and the park was a safe place. Right next to the bus stop so I didn’t have to burn out my truck going into town to see the sights. I would stay here again.

Cute little RV park! The front desk was super knowledgeable and friendly. We felt very welcome. They even drove a little golf cart in front of us to get us to our spot. They had a heated pool and a dog park. Perfect to let my dogs run around and do their business off leash. Sights were close by. There was even a shuttle stop right out front to take you to the sights.
Great place to stay while touring San Antonio and surrounding area! Fred and the rest of the staff were amazing and very helpful. Having the bus stop right outside the front door was a great convenience. Highly recommend traveling to downtown this way as parking is expensive. Laundry facilities were clean and park is well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Passing thru San Antonio on the way to Port Mansfield. Selected Mission City due to proximity to roure and online review. Very nice property and the staff was excellent. We ended up staying an extra night. We give 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I have traveled a lot, and found mission city rv to be one of the cleanest and friendliest campgrounds anywhere! Corfisl and helpful employees are a priority to us. Our dog loved the little play area as well. Full ammenities, and close to a lot of must see landmarks in the city! If we are in San Antonio again, we will be back Lynn and Robyn Show low, az
This is a great RV Park. Very friendly staff. Very clean private shower/restroom combinations. Laundry facilities are great as well. Overall this is a really nice park. A bonus is the bus stop right outside the RV Park gate that takes you to the heart of the heritage area. One block from bus stop to the Alimo. Highly recommend this Park. We will definitely be back
We stayed here 3 nights January 7/09/2023.A beautiful RV Park. Great dog park, swimming pool. Beautiful tin decorations thru out the park. Friendly office workers. Large sites. Wished we had booked our 2 month stay in this park. Now we are in Mission TX. Still wish we were back in that park. Oh the city bus picks you up for the river walk right in front of park..
Pleasant atmosphere and great location. Good discounts with Good Sam and Military. The staff and management is very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Especially being a first time camper owner they really saved us when having trouble hooking up to our truck and loading things into the truck bed. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommend anyone to stay.
Stay at Mission City RV for almost a year and it was such a wonderful experience. It felt like a neighborhood which was so great cause we had 2 young kids. The pool is amazing and the fact that the laundry room took credit cards was so convenient! Loved this community and the workers are amazing with great customer service. Definitely would stay here again.
This RV park is a great choice when visiting San Antonio. Easy access to the Riverwalk and the Alamo as well as the down town area. This park is also run by the nicest most accommodating staff. They are family friendly and the grounds are clean, well lite and nicely laid out with plenty of space for big rigs. Highly recommend the park

Totally enjoying our stay here =). Were greeted yesterday with lots of friendly advice on how to enjoy the city, and how to get in and out on the bus. Bathrooms are the best I've ever seen in a park, they are 5 star all on their own! There is a nice laundry room with pleasant seating and reading options too. Haven't tried the pool, but would like to!
I just came from the Fort, Sam Houston RV park, and I will never be going back! Mission city RV park is a whisper away from absolute perfect! The staff is incredibly kind and generous. And they have a heated year-round pool which is extremely nice if you have children.

Perfect! Nice clean park with friendly helpful staff. There is a pool, dog park, laundry room (washers only 1.50) and there is a bus stop out front to take you to downtown San A. Alamo City took us in when KOA would not honor our reservations due to dog restrictions. We were the ones blessed as we found a great place to stay. Thank you Alamo City
Super friendly staff! Stayed here while in school at JBSA, very military friendly and super close to base. All of the amenities work and are clean, the staff maintains the park extremely well. Very quiet and clean, highly recommended for a weekend stay or long term. Also very dog friendly!

Very nice park...we stayed here 4 nights. Staff was very friendly. Bathrooms and showers very clean. Nice heated pool. We would definitely stay here again
Great RV Park, (First Impression) My wife and I are spending the winter and spring in San Antonio. We chose Alamo City RV Park due to recent reviews. The staff have been both friendly and helpful. The other residents are friendly as well. The park is very clean, and the heated pool inviting. I intend to update this review as time goes on.
Wow!!!! Love this Campground. The improvements made by the new owners are obvious and awesome. The sites are so level, do not worry about leveling, your rig will be. The bus stop just outside the entrance makes travel into San Antonio effortless. We hope to return to this area and will stay at this Campground. Kudos to the new owners.
