"Been here a few times, overall not a bad place"
I had an absolutely horrible experience with the staff there, her name is Sanaa. Very rude!!! She made my kids cry. Horrible experience with her, just horrible. How can YMCA hire staff like that and put them to deal with customers?? Wow!! Very shocking experience. Been going there for years and this is the treatment we get?!!
I go here exclusively for Volleyball and honestly more often than not they just let people make their own teams, have them fight between themselves on who plays next, and if you dont know people there you may not even get into a team cuz its so full. Shame because the facilities and the staff are really great in general!
I love this place, its like my second home. The staff is so friendly and kind, I love interacting with them. The facility is well maintained, clean and well equipped. The trainers help you with personal goals, workouts and ensure you stay motivated. I definitely recommend/ prefer this gym over others.
They strictly enforce Covid-19 measures (a.k.a telling people to put on their masks and cleaning), which makes me feel much safer while I working out! Also, it's super inclusive and well maintained! The environment is so supportive of all people no matter their physical abilities or background.
Been here a few times, overall not a bad place. Good for a quick workout. Really, only rating this place is because some of the other negative reviews of this place irk me. Reviews aren't meant to fulfill personal vendettas, they're meant to give an objective analysis of the establishment.
Amazing place. I use it for the gym, soccer and swimming services and have never had an issue. They renovated into a much bigger and better gym and the overall monthly costs is the cheapest from what I could find around. Best part about membership at YMCA? NO CANCELLATION FEES OR HASSLES!
Thes days, I get to go to this Y twice a week, not the best Y in gta but ok to do a work out, the gym part is underequiped, meaning too many users for the equipments, not much of gym etiquette and it becomes frustrating, parking also could be an issue in busier time,
Attention, dear members and guests. There are many theft here. My lock was cut and I lost my 300 cash and iPhone. This is a ridiculous place. No one apologies for that but keep sending you promotion spam. Never ever leave any items in the locker room.
The gym is close by for me and is generally kept clean however, I observed one of their gym instructors has her chosen participants leading the class and show some participants preferential treatment. The staff for the most part are friendly.
You have to show your gym membership, government ID and proof of vaccination EVERY single time you step in this establishment at the front door... Keep in mind you're already a member and they don't have a system that tells them you've been
I go once a week for line dancing with my sister and made some great friends. This is all volunteer work by the dedicated instructor Thomas and helpers. The front desk is always willing to help and accomodate with your needs. There is a gym
This YMCA is conveniently located in the heart of Mississauga. It's a modern, multi-level facility with dozens of amenities and group classes for almost all of one's fitness needs. Many of the spaces have pleasant natural light flooding in.
I have been a member since 2000 and I wouldn't sign up at any other gym but the Y. The membership price is very reasonable and competitive with other gyms that do not offer nearly as many activities as the Y does. Parking lot can get super
The pool is disgusting. It constantly looks like someone went swimming with a box of tissues. The lifeguards are more interested with looking at their watches instead of doing their jobs. The let people stand in the middle of the lane swim
The worst place ever. My son was in soccer league unfortunately the staff is very bias and they deal with kids according to their personal interest. Donovan Brown and his team need to be educated in how to be honest and proffesional. I am
I've been a gym member since 2000. Overall, lots of classes, variety of machines, the track is facing many large windows, changeroom decently clean. Lots of thieves though! Almost every 4 months, posters on the walls of women's changeroom
Been coming here for some time. Hear some complaints but honestly this place has been the best thing for me. Facilities are well kept. The change rooms are properly maintained. And I meet some good people here. It depends on your attitude
Please be aware that the YMCA has decided to debit member's accounts arbitrarily for their membership. They are supposed to send out a notice via mail at least 2 months in advance that your membership is up for renewal and to come in and
I have been a member of this Y since 2005. It's a busy place with some parking challenges but the people there more than make up for this. I mostly use the pool, love the aquafit instructors and have made acquaintance with several people
Although I have been a member of YMCA Burnamthorpe road for a year, and was a big fan of the facility, as much that I even referred several family friends to YMCA who are regular members now based on my referral, but now I am considering
Great Place to workout and relax- they offer lots of group activity and child programs. Staff is certified and highly trained. There pools are good and also provide services to member plus (costly) like gym, sauna, steam, grooming, tea,
I love the Y, its so conveniently located in the heart of Mississauga and easy to walk to if you live in the area. It has very nice natural light, a modern building and nice staff. However, the gym section is a bit small and you have to
It is one of the biggest facility YMCA has in Mississauga. One of the good centers here with a lot of activities for all age groups. Swimming, gym, karate and a lot more. There ia no library inside though. Hige parking lot which is full
What a great kids swimming lessons program. The patience of these young instructors is something to be marveled. What an amazing experience, an immensely convenient location in the heart of Mississauga and some of the best employees I
This place is the worse place to come to for adults. The gym area is NEVER maintained. Weights are always all over the place which is a massive safety hazard and the stuff is always just sitting in their office. The track has multiple
Got most of my volunteer hours here. It was a fun community experience. I got to meet a lot of new people from diverse cultures with similar attitude for life. I went on a few fun adventures with them. The staff were always polite and
This is an excellent gym with smart management. I am happy that they are taking good precautions and making sure everyone is safe.Staff is dedicated and focused, in spite of the challenges they face by the same group of people who are
Spending almost 120$ per month, and that’s what happened in the member plus room… Random people can just sneaking into the member plus room and do whatever they would want to. It’s like a free open ATM for those people to grab and go.
I would give it a higher rating if it wasn't for the horrendous parking issue. I have to spend half an hour in line to enter the parking lot. That means to get to my kids half an hour swimming class I'm having to leave my house an hr
Sorry, how much do you want me to pay? @Freedom below, not sure how you ended up paying $45 a month - that I can actually live with... however the nice lady at the desk that I just spoke to, wanted me to pay $65 per month with a $90
Unprofessional, rude, not respectful receptionist Sana in the front desk ruine reputation of the YMCA Mississauga. Management should choose polite and friendly staff on this role. The swimming lessons are good, pool looks clean.
We are people who wake up so early and go to exercise before going to work. I get there at 5 am during the week for lap swimming. One time there was no heat water which made me leave YMCA because i can't use freezing cold water
Future members beware when canceling your membership. YMCA gyms will continue to charge your Credit Card and when you try to get your money back from the extra charges, you won’t get it back unless you have proof you canceled.
Very friendly and family oriented place. Brian is a very helpful person and he always tries to listen and take action when required. The place could use abit of clean up specially with the equipment as they seem a bit old.
Everything is nice at this location accept a female worker that works at the lady's VIP area. She's really rude especially for new members at the Vip , just the worst . Had very bad experience cause of her attitude
Facilities are great although if you are just looking to do work outs upstairs in the conditioning room, you could be overpaying for the memberships which also include access to swimming pools, gym courts, etc.
Huge Place with several floors...keeps you engaged in physical activities. I've learned how to swim here...the staff is very helpful and fun. Pool can be dirty and crowded at peak times.
Worst and most wasteful of money!! Never consider registering there! Unfortunately, no one respects you, the gym is always empty, and you are not permitted to play any sport other than
Great place to meet people and get in shape. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Membership is pretty inexpensive. So if you are searching for a gym to workout I suggest this one.
Swimming lanes are plain in sight and easy to read, sometimes followed with audio instruction, however it seems the staff doesn’t care to enforce it so it’s a free for all of ignorance
Worst and wast of money!! Dont ever think to register there! Service is too bad no one respect you at all, the gym are always empty and you aren’t allowed to play anything other than
The swimsuit dryers have been broken from this summer and steam room has been out of order for weeks. Nobody really cares about the maintenance.. just charge the membership fee right?
3 months of membership in... Great facilities (I only use the gym, the track and the pool - all of these had pretty much anything I needed), good environment. No complaints from me.
It's busy. Sauna, pool, basketball courts, well equipped weight room, lots of cardio machines, Indoor track and lots of classes. It's hard to beat the value in a YMCA membership.
worst gym ever! wish I can give no star, they ask you to put your mask on even when you are working out and this is not healthy at all, when i tell them that they said we dont
I have visited this place to enquire about the membership and the benefits. The staff did explained the details clearly and they clarified all the questions that we had.
Serves my purpose for weight training. Could upgrade to new machines, alternatives are available though. Women's change area is mostly untidy with water everywhere.
Here a story about what happened on November 23rd approx 7:30pm at the gym. I have been going to the Y for few weeks as a new member to play badminton. My
Warning about 325 Burnhamthorpe Rd west at Mississauga YMCA Gym. I strongly recommend no ones has to go to YMCA gym at 325 Burnhamthorpe Rd west
It’s an alright gym if you show up at anytime other than evenings. They should adjust their weekend schedule as 4pm is too early to close.
They have great equipment, the best staff and lots of amenities. It can get busy during peak hours but that's normal for any gym.
YMCA GTA (Mississauga) Employment Service very bad I have been connected to the YMCA for 6 months. I got good service at the
I want to share that Jacob the lifeguard is so incredibly kind and thoughtful of patrons. Very great experience overall!
I have been harassed by a staff female reception her name is Sanah at the Mississauga YMCA
Very friendly and very clean. Not super busy when I go in the morning.
Sana is annoying. Kept me waiting unnecessarily
Great community atmosphere and friendly staff.
Worst ymca I have seen in my life.
