"Worst experience,The hosts/ hostess were discriminating on giving WIFI access hence from downstairs towards upstairs no staff was flexible to give password but I could c hostess randomly holding different guests' phone giving them passwords yet when I asked they said it's only working downstairs to add to that my flight was delayed meaning boredom devoured , the team seemed to b disorganised too as when the gate was opened there was still disabled people not boarded hence one of them tried to ask the way in between people as she pushed the carrier"
"Small beautiful airport Small old airport with friendly staff and beautiful view around Unlike the busy shiny airports This one is calm , Retro and beautiful airport just like the ones you see in 80s Hollywood adventure movies Loved the sight of this airport Once you land it won’t take more than 15 mins to exit with your luggage, how convenient right ?! Plain green fields and the old buildings of the airport are a bliss to eyes taxi services available at the exit gate Few landscape drawings on the walls on the way to exit are beautiful Admire the beauty before exiting"
"The airport seemed local rather than an international one"
"You must proceed to your gate 1"
1. Accessibility: The airport is conveniently located, just about 10 kilometers from Mombasa’s city center. This proximity makes it easily accessible for travelers heading to popular coastal destinations. 2. Terminal and Facilities: Moi International Airport has a single passenger terminal that has undergone renovations in recent years to improve its facilities. However, it might not be as modern as some major international airports, but it offers essential amenities like duty-free shops, restaurants, and car rental services. 3. Check-In and Security: The airport typically experiences reasonable passenger traffic, so check-in and security processes are usually smooth and efficient. However, this can vary during peak travel seasons. 4. Runway and Air Traffic: The airport has a single runway, which can sometimes lead to flight delays during busy hours. Additionally, due to its proximity to Moi Air Base, military operations can sometimes affect civilian air traffic. 5. International Connectivity: Moi International Airport primarily serves domestic and regional flights. International connections are available, mainly to countries within Africa and the Middle East. For travelers heading to other continents, a connecting flight through Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is usually required. 6. Customer Service: The level of customer service can vary, but it generally meets the standards of a regional airport. Some passengers have reported positive experiences with airport staff, while others have had less satisfactory encounters. 7. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Efforts have been made to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the airport, but as with many facilities, it can vary over time.
Worst experience,The hosts/ hostess were discriminating on giving WIFI access hence from downstairs towards upstairs no staff was flexible to give password but I could c hostess randomly holding different guests' phone giving them passwords yet when I asked they said it's only working downstairs to add to that my flight was delayed meaning boredom devoured , the team seemed to b disorganised too as when the gate was opened there was still disabled people not boarded hence one of them tried to ask the way in between people as she pushed the carrier. The flight boarding que was trafficked hence the option was to go downstairs towards the back door. Key take away; treat all guests equal.

The airport seemed local rather than an international one. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices of water, soda, and chips. I don't understand why Africans willingly allow other people to take advantage of while a bottle of water costs 5 euros in European countries as a matter of fact almost in all terminals around the , it's only 65 cents here. This stark difference left me somewhat angry. Everything under $1 as if food is subsidized for these travelers
You must proceed to your gate 1.5-2 h before your flight even has boarding. And the highlight: there are NO TOILETS available NO FOOD, NO DRINKS. You need to pass the same annoying controls you already took to enter the boarding area and if you need to visit the toilet you have to leave the gate and redo the same control again to renter the gate. We’re really traveling a lot also in other less developed countries but never experienced a stupidity like this ♀️♀️
Linda and Lucy thank you so much for your Service and your help ,l have never got that type of service it was amazing continue doing great you guys will go far ,and thank you to the whole team that made sure l got my voucher meal that l lost ,thank you so much team ,❤️❤️❤️ from Mrs Banda lol l loved how l was called today Mrs Banda ❤️ made me feel special ,Kenya airways is the best
Traveled through this airport a few times in the past 4 years. You quickly go through security and all employees are laid back. Coolest thing is seeing the monkeys at the airport. If you have bought some of the huge seashells as souvenirs be prepared to haggle with the airport security. Also if you are flying Kenya airways go early and be prepared to be bumped to a different flight.
Good experience, security personnel were friendly and professional and alert. Super clean and tidy. Toilets were also clean, my only concern was the flushing units were not working well, and must be repaired. Moi Airport gets my vote .Kenya the bright hope of Africa. The Pride of Africa . Respect from a global traveller. Asante Sana.
Moi International airport handles tremendous traffic with more than eighteen airlines flying directly from and to Europe, and offering connections to over twenty cities in the region. Mombasa region has remained attractive to tourist and it has eventually required that the airport be developed to handle long haul international flights.
Lovely design but has to be the absolute dumbest use of the space... no sorry the SGR stations beat this for great design, dumb management.... here no entry points, no walkways and 20 people to do the job of one entry terminal , signage is an absolute joke sadly this is supposed to be an international airport... …
Local departure side lacks cooling system. AC in all international airports is the best when you travel globally. MIA should think of how your clients feel traveling through your jurisdictions. That is where Kenya lags behind in affecting the experiences of the tourist that visit this country.
A horrible experience - poor facilities, rude and hostile staff, poor seating for waiting. A few small shops that are all the exact same, selling the exact same stuff to each other - no real food services. I would not spend any more time here then is minimally required if I could help it.
really impressed with the airport well organized and clean. On domestic flight you get to use the bridge which you don’t get in JKIA for international flights. the prices at the cafes however is ridiculous if you are hungry just pay 1300 to get entry to the lounge otherwise come full.
The airport is nice and clean and quite secure, it’s easy to move around the airport and it has a convenience store at the waiting lounge. Crows are also common at the waiting lounge and they have a phone charging lobby. The place is quite … Zaidi
1. As you enter the airport area u get stopped by police. All they want is money "to buy soda". How embarrassing is it for the whole republic of Kenya?? Airports are like the gateways to a country. And corruption in Kenya already starts … Zaidi
Quaint little airport where I found most things to be rather efficient. Maintenance is a little neglected, facilities are generally operational. Don’t bother with the lounge..it’s not really different to waiting at the gate. If you do … Zaidi
This is the second biggest airport in Kenya. The airport is very not very big. Customer care is excellent! The airport is well labelled. There is free airport WiFi. The airport washrooms are extremely clean. There are restrooms for … Zaidi
Quite efficient check out service. I didn't like the experience with Jambojet though, they made us disembark on the tarmac and walk to the departure lounge, while it was raining. Good that they gave us an umbrella.
Awesome Experience, airport in a good and quite place.Accessible by both local and international flights.Major Airlines available. The Gate to Mombasa Holidaying.Karibu Kenya Hakuna Matata.Mombasa raha.
Staff is really friendly, even if the environmental conditions are poor: arrival building has no AC and tourists are massively sweeting while waiting for passport controll. Long queues for passport
One of the unique airport that I have seen. The airport still looks like it has not changed since 1980s. Although it’s not air conditioned and laid back, but it’s airy.
Not the best airport. We were flying to Nairobi and had to go through 2 security checks. After security there is a Cafe, Candy Shop and a gift/book shop.
Of course, my thin-soled sandals are so dangerous for the flight, that I have to take them off and walk barefoot on the dirty floor... Absurdly
A modest, small place. Stuffed, no air-conditioning, windmills that give so little not everywhere. Friendly service, willing to help.
My Experience at the Airport was great. Seamless Checkin and comfortable waiting bay. The staff is very helpful and hospitable.
By far the best information program on the internet ,I’m 85 years old and use it all the time it’s so accurate, love it ❤️ …
Our first visit was very pleasant. Very short walk from drop-off area, easy process all the way through to the gate. Well done!
Full of mosquitoes, please donate some mosquitoe killer machines and chemicals to this airport administration
The runway is well maintained. It is also a very clean airport. Very spacious and well maintained washrooms
Fine. Small. Staff are all very very friendly. 4 gates, 2 runways. No need to get here 2 hours in advance!
Relaxed and a more pleasant experience than Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. No problems experienced.
Got something stolen from my suitecase after check-in. Disappointing after a great vacation in Kenia.
Impressed by police reception, but disappointed by new parking fee payment system.its causing delays
No Wi-Fi, no toilets at the boarding gate, no place to charge your phone, no ac. Just awful!!
The environment is very clean. Very friendly staffs. I enjoyed everything with my family
Excellent place to board ur flight. Nice airport personnel and plenty of parking space.
