Wonderful shop hundreds and hundreds of ukiyo-e prints from different eras, sorted by themes. Old stuff, reproductions, even some modern ones with contemporary themes. I talked to the owner (from the youtube videos from years ago) and he informed me that the classes and workshops are no longer available -- I asked if they would return in the future and he seemed to think they would not. I purchased 3 ukiyo-e prints for under $100 US. One print was even marked down in price due to an alignment mark on the bottom of the image. The owner showed me a quick demo of the process that would have left that extra mark, a fun story to tell others in the future. ALSO, they can mail your prints home for you. I came all the way from OHIO USA and plan to visit this shop every time I am in tokyo.
David and his assistants are great teachers. It is well worth taking the 1 hour print part lesson. So much fun to learn! The gallery had a great selection of their own work and also other antique ukiyoe prints!
Went there after watching the Netflix documentary and loved it. Dave and his team did a great job at the printing party and I purchased several prints.
