Unacceptable customer service. We have been their customer for 10 years. Nobody acknowledged me right away upon entrance to their office, there were no customers in the lobby and the staff were just chatting at each other until that Angela called me from the right side but she had a terrible customer service behavior. She made me so upset on Fri 2/24/22 for my 11am appointment. We always have 2 insurance coverages and gave her both, the existing and the new one. She said in a straightforward monotone while looking at my new insurance card; “You have a new insurance, so you should have come earlier at least an hour before you’re scheduled appointment because we have to confirm your new insurance coverage”. Well manneredly I replied back; “I didn’t know, I thought I could just present it during my appointment”. Then she quickly said; “We’ve been trying to reach you but we were not able to get a hold of you”. I told her that I only received a text reminder which i replied-accept to confirm. Then I checked my phone to see if I have any missed calls earlier or the day before but didn’t see any. I asked her politely “what’s your tel. no?” She handed me their business card… glanced at it at the same time rescanning my missed calls….so then again, it was confirmed that I did not get any call or voicemail from them at all. I got back at her in a more deliberate tone; “Well certainly I did not get any call from your office (showing her my phone) so you’re lying to tell me that you were trying to reach me!!” Followed by; “and you’re not supposed to talk to your clients that way. We have been your customer for almost 10 yrs and we always have 2 insurance coverages since then.” I was already getting upset until she made a follow-up comment (adding more insult to injury), that even made me more agitated; “This insurance card does not seem to have a dental coverage.” Seriously ?? How could she be so sure when she has not even called them yet ?? So I answered back, this time in a bit tough voice but still discrete way; “Actually, I just called my new dental insurance rep yesterday and even told me that I don’t have to do any copay. Give me back my insurance cards and just cancel my appointment!!” She even had the guts to ask me if I want to reschedule…I said; “BIG NO and I will not do any appointments with you at all…because I am not coming back to this clinic..nor any member of my family!!! #Simplysharingthisto impart that this kind of unacceptable customer service behavior should never be tolerated! #wedefinitelyhavechoicesinlife and that should clearly and thoroughly be made to benefit us!! #weworkhardforeverysinglepenny in order to have insurance coverage…we should not allow them treat us without due respect that we as valued customers truly deserve!!

Initial visit was today. Should have had an exam, cleaning, floride application and care plan going forward. Dentist kept lecturing me until I asked her to stop and seemed frustrated (office called me earlier in the day offering an earlier appointment, but I couldn't attend any earlier than my scheduled 530pm app. My wife went earlier and said the dentist was trying leave earlier). Dentist was also rude and impatient with her dental assistant which made the room awkward. I really wanted to walk out. After my app my wife explained earlier in the day at her appointment the assistant believed she was soon to be fired. During exam dentist explained I have gum disease and need a deep cleaning, which I knew and why I was there. Dentist said due to late scheduled appointment there were no hygienist in. I paid to have my x-rays done, gums poked and told I needed care I already knew about. No cleaning or floride treatment was done. I wish they would have told me prior to my appointment as I was looking forward to the cleaning and floride treatment... They tried to set up my deep cleaning without running insurance (I have two dental insurances) and said they would run it on the day of my appointment. I did not feel comfortable scheduling an exam without knowing what was or wasn't covered. They refused to call insurance so I guess I'll do that myself. Office was nice and they did get me on their books in only a few days so that's a plus, even though I got nothing but poked and lectured.

I have terrible dental anxiety but needed to get an issue taken care of before it got worse. I walked into the office and the receptionist with jaw length blonde hair, checked me in and her calm demeanor and sweet smile, started me down a path of calm. I next met with the dental assistant, Abigail, and before I could even sit for x-rays, the tears started. I asked if i could set boundaries for this visit and she listened with so much compassion and understanding. She put it in my notes, took my X-rays, being so gentle and patient with me. Dr. Fuglaar came to the room, and I expressed my fears and she also listened and paid attention to what I was saying She gave me hand signals for when to stop, we could take a break, offered tissues and comfort. I had to make another visit and was blessed with Abigail as my assistant again and that girl is an absolute angel. Dr Fuglaar saw me at check in and expressed how proud she was of me for showing up. We did more X-rays, talked about my concerns and had some laughs. I am currently sitting in my exam room, waiting for my cleaning and I can only imagine that little gentle fairies will clean my teeth. I truly appreciate each person I have come in contact with at this office. Thank you for listening, thank you for understanding, thank you for caring, thank you for your compassion, thank you for being so patient with me.

I never leave negative reviews, but this experience has been bothering me for weeks. I went in for a routine check up and to get a cleaning. It had been 2 years since I’d been in due to a lot of different life events. However, I brush twice a day with an electric tooth brush and floss daily. My teeth can’t be THAT bad. After waiting 1.5 hours to be seen The Dentist shamed me for not being seen regularly and proceeded to do my exam where she basically said my gums were horrible and there’s no way I’m flossing like I claim I am. Even if my dental health was not good, there is a tactful way to talk to a patient, and she was just plain mean. She pressured me into signing up for a “deep cleaning” that was going to cost $500. I reluctantly signed up for the deep cleaning because I felt pressured by her, but the day before the appointment I called to see if I could just change it to a regular cleaning because I did not have the money for the deep clean. I was told I would have to come in for ANOTHER exam by the Dentist and that she would have to sign off on the regular cleaning before they would schedule it. What? They won’t just clean my teeth? Honestly, it all felt like a big money-making scheme. I’m going to have to find a new office.

I unfortunately hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think people and residents of our community need to hear about how my family has been treated. Unfortunately, my husband has had pain in his tooth and needed some empathy and professionalism. He’s too proud to reply and write reviews but that is okay. Unfortunately he needed help with a tooth that was irritating him for a long while but eventually started hurting him terribly. He has tried to explain the pain he was in to the staff and dentist but they didn’t take him seriously so at the end of all days with this place the dentist called my husband an a*hole. It’s hard to hear this because well he helps everyone and will bend backwards to do the right thing. I also have taken my son here and wanted to get him some dental work and he has special needs. I was told by a dentist there that she wasn’t equipped or prepared to do work on my son. He’s not a terrible kid. I just don’t think this is the kind of treatment that my family should have received and ought to let you all know please be aware of false professionalism to those who are considered “different”. And I’m not lying but I hope these professionals can learn from their mistakes.

I was very disappointed with my dentist and her lack of compassion. I have severe anxiety & am afraid of needles. I explained this to her before the procedure. after I got the shots, I started crying simply because of how scared I was going into the procedure and it was my bodies release. She proceeded to ask me why I’m crying and I responded. I have previous trauma with doctors. She then says to me, how do you have trauma? You’re only 20. This deeply upset me as she has no idea what I’ve been through. And I thought that was very unprofessional for her to ask. In the moment I felt as though I couldn’t say anything, as I was quite literally having a panic attack and could barely get words out. I hate that I got put in this position as I felt, I couldn’t say anything because of my age. She continue to make snarky comments throughout the procedure including to the dental assistant, Erik. Erik was very nice and understood my situation and she was nothing but rude to him. she made comments like now Erik what did we talk about in a condescending tone. doctors like this only make my anxiety worse for future appointments. I sincerely hope this gets looked into as I never want to see her again.

I am someone who HATES the dentist. I have had so many bad experiences. So many times they didn't listen, I wasn't numb or just made to feel bad. Because of this I have developed severe dental anxiety/fear. To the point that I let my dental health go for too long. Even just making the call to make the appointment had my heart racing and my palms sweating. Montecito Dental has completely changed my perspective. I had to have TWO root canals because of my fear. And when I tell you it was the best dental experience I've ever had I am not exaggerating. He was so great making sure I was totally numb and comfortable and didn't feel a thing! And then I had to have a very severe deep clean. But again I was taken care of the whole time. Constantly checking in to make sure I was okay. Making sure I was numb and comfortable. The staff here is a absolutely incredible. I have and will continue to recommend this dental office to everyone I know because pretty much everyone I know has had similar experiences as me. I have my next appointments booked 6 months in advanced and I am happy to say I'm on the way to better dental health because of the team here. Thank you all so much!

**New patients beware $59 is just to get you in the door*** I was basically scammed out of $59 this dental office promotes a cleaning x-rays and exam for new patients for $59.. But once you get there they take your $59 and spend 45 minutes doing x-rays another 30 minutes doing an exam to then tell you that you need a deep cleaning which will be $700 or more dollars if you don't have insurance. Since I just moved to the area and don't have dental insurance I was looking for just my regular cleaning that I have every 6 months and have been since I was a child. So needless to say I was surprised to hear that I have stages of gum disease and need a deep cleaning and I was refused the basic cleaning unless I pay the extra money for a deep cleaning . I paid my bill $59 up front and was denied any further service , Besides my time wasted exam and X-ray. They never tell you up front that the $59 is conditional based on what the dentist says the condition of your teeth are after they do the exam which is understandable but after reading other reviews I definitely believe that this is their scam to get over . So I paid $59 did not get my teeth clean very disappointing.

Dr Cyrus and his team are amazing. Ashley at the front desk, and Helen who is one of his assistants are truly great!! Ashely has been at this office quite some time now and had always displayed nothing but professionalism and amazing customer service. Most importantly, Dr Cyrus is an incredible orthodontist! He was my son's Ortho for the last portion of his braces and he was fantastic. My son recently lost his retainers. I went in that morning to hopefully make an appointment for him as soon as possible, Dr Cyrus came out and told me he would squeeze him in right then and there. Not only that, he rushed the making of the new retainers and got them to me same day. I truly can't speak highly enough of this Ortho. One thing I can say for sure, when you speak with him in person, you know for sure he is being genuine and 100% authentic. I definitely recommend visiting Dr Cyrus! You won't be let down!!!

I have been a client for over 12 + years and they have been through so many dental hygienists but I continued to stick with them even tho it was difficult getting an appointment on my days iff from work. Last visit the dentist had to do my cleaning because of no hygienists were available so ok ..then he said I needed a redo on my root canal and the lady pushed me to schedule an appointment before the end of the year so I did However I decided to cancel the day before after I received a text and call to cancel or confirm or id be charged 100$ So I called to to do so and was told they were going to charge me anyways. I explained to the office manager Liz that I had text and call saying I could do so. She didn't care ! I used to refer my clients there but never again. Horrible business! Who throws away loyal clients?? I guess they do . Good luck staying in business

I recently had the misfortune of having to replace one crown and have a new one put in. Dr. Garrett was tasked to replace both crowns. The first one was done about 3 weeks ago and went absolutely flawlessly. Dr Garret and her tech were extremely friendly and very professional throughout the procedure, which made the time go by fast. Her bedside manners are exceptional and some of the best that I have seen in a long time. Today, she had to place a crown in my mouth after I had a root canal done. Again, Dr. Garret entered the room with a smile on her face and immediately greeted me with a friendly hello. This procedure also went flawlessly and I couldn’t be happier with the results. No one likes going to the dentist, but Dr. Garrett makes the visit much easier to deal with and makes you feel at home. Thank you for the great work that you have done!

Just left here extremely upset. I have been waiting a little over 3 weeks for this appointment (Monday at 830am) for a cracked tooth. I show up early and the Dr. called off??? The day after the Super Bowl, and the Dr. calls off? Coincidence? Anyways, now i have to wait ANOTHER week with this cracked tooth. Cannot wait for the Dental office to open by the Smith's Marketplace to go there. ***Edit*** Just left now and enjoyed their service. Everyone is so friendly, and made me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed everyone from the front desk, to the Hygienist, the assistant, and the Doctor. I didn't get the Hygienest's name, but i really enjoyed her. Very gentle and did an amazing work on my cleaning. Hope to see her again in June! Thank you Montecito!

The first time I went even though I haven’t had cavities in five years since I had cut my teeth clean drink Covid they said I needed a deep cleaning and that was the only way they would see me which ended up costing me $500 out of my pocket And wanted to schedule me for another deep cleaning. Three months later that I did cancel came back to see them at six months and they refused to do a normal cleaning because they’re saying I had periodontal disease even though no cavities my teeth are in perfect shape, but they refused to give me a normal cleaning And that’s how they treat your school district supportive staff so if you’re a Clark County School District employee please think twice

Due to a few horrible past experiences with dentists dating back to childhood, for most of my life I have been one of those people who are afraid of the dentist and only go in "when something hurts". Being newer to living in Las Vegas I knew it was time to go in, and I had quite a bit of nervousness. Thankfully Dr Garrett and her team went out of their way to put me at ease. She patiently and kindly went over the work that I need to get done, and by the time my appointment was over I felt like we had known each other for years. I don't know if I will ever be one of those people who are excited to go to the dentist, but I feel a lot less trepidation for my next appointment!

Your cancellation policy sucks. I have seizures and can’t drive. I tried to call yesterday and leave a message. No machine picked up. I tried your website and it said I had to call you in the morning. I called today and you tell me you are charging me $25 for same day cancellation. Some empathy you guys have. I have been a client for 4 years. I will not be returning ever. Nice way to treat veterans by the way. **Update** Within a few minutes of my call to you, you came trying to get your late fee. Glad you treat people with empathy. Your entire establishment should go out of business.

This was my primary dental facility and no more after years coming. I should've looked a long time ago to move. I had my x-rays done to get deep cleaning and they had only quoted me for one side cleaning. As I had gotten off work early to come to my appointment they send me a text that my appointment was at 5pm instead of 4pm. I was already pretty upset. They changed it last min. You don't get greeted or acknowledge by the staff members behind the desk. They are pretty unprofessional and rude sometimes. I don't usually leave reviews , but this place needs some serious adjustments.

I have had several things done here, from cleaning to root canals and an implant. Everyone is so nice here. From the moment I walked in they all treated me as a friend. I absolutely love Dr. Darr, Christina and Nayely. Who knew going to the dentist could be a fun experience?! If you’re afraid of the dentist, like so many people, give them a try, the whole crew is very attentive, professional, and thorough. They understand your visit is stressful, and they help you relax. Definitely the best dental experience I’ve ever had in my life!

Professional and courteous staff made my trip to the dentist run smoother than it usually does. I was a bit of a mess when I came in, mostly frantic because I thought I was late, and I forgot to get my dental insurance info, but Ashley helped reassure me and walked me through the process...it really helped calm me down (I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple years, so I was dreading a need for a crown or something). After I got checked in it was smooth sailing from there. I’ll definitely be back...on time this time!

Yesterday was my first time going to the dentist in a long time and was very hesitant due to past experiences. Those apprehensions were put at ease upon arrival. The front desk staff was friendly and navigated my check in process with ease. The dental hygienist who took care of me (Kimberly Grover) was professional, friendly, and made the overall experience great. I cannot overstate how great she made the whole experience. I would most definitely recommend this dental office for all of your dental needs.

Firstly I’d like to say that Ashley and Jodi worked with me to get a reschedule for an appointment for myself at short notice, even though the office was busy, they really went above and beyond to reschedule me even knowing it was my own fault. I did have to switch from Dr. Galloway to Dr. Garret but was taken care of just as well. I usually hate going to the dentist but for the first time in a while my smart watch didn't inform me that I was having a heart attack.so that’s always a positive.

My visit to Montecito Town center dental was the best experience with any dental office I have ever had. I had X-rays and a cleaning done on my visit. My cleaning had been long over due. The staff was warm and welcoming from the start. From the time of my arrival the staff made me feel relaxed. The price of the procedures had been painless too. So hands down I wish I could go back and have had all my procedures done at Moneticto.

This is the best dentist we have ever been to. From the front desk check in to dental surgery it has been nothing but stellar. All that dental anxiety we usually experience wasn't an issue here. Watch Liz in the billing department. She billed my insurance and I paid my portion of what my insurance didn’t cover and then when I went in to get the rest of my treatment she turned me away even though everything was already billed and paid for. They should be turned in for fraud. Awful place to work. They treat their employees horrible and take advantage of them. Way underpaid for the work the dental assistants do.

Best in the West, he just called checking to see if I was okay. His assistant Ben away also good. Also Miss Kim was the Lady of the Day, Miss Kim was the one. The staff here is so wonderful! I came in with an absolute emergency, and not only did Angela call me when an appointment was canceled to get me in, but I was seen so quickly! Dr. Fuglar and MaKenna were so attentive and made me feel so comfortable the entire time. I’m so happy with my results and I have never been treated so well by dental staff like this before.

From the second I walked in and was greeted at the door, I knew this would be a great place. Front desk women are warm, welcoming and even crack a couple jokes. My hygienist Jared taught me more in this visit than I've learned in my life. Dr. Park was extremely professional, smart and and gentle for the procedure he did. The dentist can be scary. The staff here are amazing and make every visit comfortable and welcoming! My crown broke and they were able to see me right away and give me a new crown the same day. The office is clean and they sanitize everything in between customers. I highly recommend this place! Thank you so much for taking care of me so well.

Kimberly gave me a deep cleaning and she was excellent! She was very nice and did her best to minimize any pain and make me feel comfortable. It had been way too long since my teeth had a good cleaning last and really were not looking too great. Now they look so much better and I'm no longer embarrassed of my teeth. The staff are very friendly, always seem to remember me when I come in and the dental work (including an implant and crown) has been perfect. They have a pretty infrastructure. The dentist is good. Be aware that if you cancel because of an emergency, they will charge you $25. Even if you reschedule, and call ahead that you have an emergency... Probably need to look for another dentist that is a bit more understanding.
