We are proud parents of our 2 elementary level children. Our older child has been going to this school for 4th year and younger one for the 3rd year. We all love the school. The Montessori Academy of Brentwood is one of the very few Montessori schools in nations which has grades up to 8th. It is an amazing school. The education is very good. Children learn everything hands on!! isn't it so amazing to learn maths hands on,like (a+b)2 and solve it on a board and understand what truly it means. I wish I had education of this kind as a child.!!!!! The primary, elementary programs and teachers are just fabulous. The team of teachers are very dedicated. we respect them from the bottom of our hearts. Very knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. The growth that I have seen in our children is just incredible. The extracurricular activities are amazing too. Sports, music, ballet, chess, social events, field trips, picnics, !!!!! and on and on. Anytime you walk into any of the class rooms, there is absolutely no chaos. Children are busy and involved in their work!! Its a real moment to cherish seeing the children in the classroom. Every child learns at his/her own pace. If the kid is gifted, they can keep growing further, and for a slow learning kid, the teachers will never let them fall through the crack. The teacher to student ratio is excellent, so each child gets attention. There are 2 Montessori trained teachers in each class room for the same number of children that you see at other public/private schools!!!! isn't that amazing. Diversity of children is very good.. I very strongly feel that all children should experience this kind of educational program where everything is learned so much practically. I would say the energy of every child utilized very positively. The outcome is just marvelous .The founders of Google went to Montessori Schools!! To be in short, we are staying in this city mainly for the school. As a healthcare professional I very well understand how well the curriculum is designed based on how the brain develops and functions., its just amazing. I feel most of the people are not aware of such an excellent school. All in all, one of the best schools I have seen.
Recently I have had opportunities to share my children's early educational experience with multiple families. Each family was in search of something different and better for their children's educational journey. It was an absolute pleasure to share the experience of my own children at the Montessori Academy. We were part of the MA community for 9 years. In that time, my children gained a sense of independence and developed a desire and love for learning. The freedom to gravitate toward those things which sparked their interest, balanced with the challenge to explore those things which were unknown are what made this experience both unique and successful - all in a caring, loving environment. My children emerged as independent, confident thinkers who were able to transition into a traditional classroom setting and remain top academic performers. The Montessori Academy also understands the importance of creative expression and development through art and music. They are integral pieces to the child's overall experience as a student on this campus. The educators do an amazing job helping the child ignite their spark and ensure they have access to all the tools necessary to keep the flame burning brightly so they can reach their fullest potential.
My wife and I toured this school and absolutely loved the approach. When it came down to numbers and cost the information printed conflicted with what the staff had conveyed as the reasoning why people who start late are charged a higher rate. I wouldn't have minded if it were more transparent as to why the cost was higher. In speaking with the head master he explained that although it might not be intuitive why the numbers didn't look the same, but that it was. In that same conversation he also mentioned that if I were having budgetary issues now that he didn't really care to deal with my budgetary issues in the future and that they don't negotiate tuition. To be clear, I wasn't trying to negotiate tuition, I was trying to pay the monthly rate that everyone who started on time was paying. Another red flag we noticed prior to the tour was that the board was made up of mainly family (a big conflict of interest). I'm sure that the teachers are fabulous and most of the staff were great with our experience, however, the office manger seemed put out that I would ask her to tell me exactly how much we would pay. And the headmaster may have taken his title too seriously.
I am a parent of two children that attend this school, and I could not recommend it enough. I will admit that I am someone who was completely new to the idea of Montessori when I came here. But now that I’ve been able to see my kids start to go through it, I could not imagine a better environment for them. I have also been following a lot of recent studies pertaining to pre-k programs as that is the age of my youngest. It’s been awesome to see that what these studies have been talking about is that approaches like Montessori have lead to much more successful futures. It’s just so well rounded and I feel like my kids are becoming better human beings. I mean my 2yr old clears his own plate at dinner now, so I’m sold. And just on a general note, it’s a beautiful environment, the play areas and accessible outside space is tremendous. The teachers are wonderful, and extremely experienced. And communication has been top notch across the board, especially in light of all that has been going on the last few years. At the end of the day my kids are super happy and are learning a lot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I did not have a good experience on this branch, the manager asked to have an interview with my child which was fine with me. They wanted my kid to go to a class without me being around him and stay there with no crying for half an hour. My little one never had an experience to be somewhere alone . We went to the interview and he did not pass the test. She gave us 2 months time to improve this issue. we did, and the result was the same after two months. They concluded that my son has socializing problem, and asked us to work on improving it more. For this reason I took my son, to other places that children were around, such as playing grounds and another daycare, where I realized that my son has little problem, if any, socializing with other kids. Therefore we decided to enroll him in the other daycare. Talking to other moms who had their children on other Montessori branches, I noticed that the interview was quite untypical and merely a decision of the board.
First, I have found Montessori Academy to be a great learning environment for my children. My kids love school, they love to learn, they feel responsible for their school work and are proud of their accomplishments. Second, I have found the teachers to be top notch. We have had the pleasure of working with a number of different teachers in the nearly 5 years that we have been here. All of them are professional, caring educators. Finally, I have found the administration to be very accessible and always working to improve the school as a whole. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for more than a traditional education.
I can't express how grateful I am for the 11 years my daughter spent at Montessori Academy. Her wonderful, nurturing teachers helped her grow into the confident, motivated, independent young woman she is today. Now that she has graduated from MA and is in high school, we see the numerous benefits of her Montessori education transferred to this new environment, where she continues to thrive. As a teacher at MA, I see every day the countless benefits of Montessori education for my students. As a mom, I can say from my heart that Montessori Academy was a great gift for my daughter. I can't recommend the school highly enough!
PARENTS BEWARE - I found out first hand that although the school is nice and has a good reputation they are teach very hate centered stuff in the high school. Specifically Critical Race Theory. It has been proven that it is a dangerous doctrine and you should demand the administration stop this at once or pull your kids from the school. In America we do not stand for telling our kids that they are less than so we can make others feel more than. The idea of bring all down does not lift some up. Marxism is very dangerous and that is the foundation of these theories. Stand up for truth America before it is too late!
The growth and development of both my children during their time at Montessori Academy has been incredible. They are studying years above their grade level and are actually EXCITED about the information they are learning. They look forward to school each morning just as much as I do because I know they are in a nurturing, academically advanced, fun and rewarding environment. And in addition to the wonderful things my children learn on a daily basis, Montessori has truly taught me how to be a better parent myself by incorporating the philosophies into our daily life at home.
We have had both our children there for 7 years and I can't say enough about the methodology, the staff, the amazing teachers, and the community. In thinking about what the future needs are for children in the coming decades, my wife and I decided that a different educational approach was necessary. Creativity and executive skills will be paramount and Montessori Academy has a strong focus on both. The part I am most grateful for is the fact that my children love going to this school every morning and they love learning. Thank you MA.
If anyone is looking for an amazing school for their kids, I would first tell them to take a tour of Montessori and visit a classroom, etc. To see the Montessori approach in action is what sold us. Second, I would tell them to talk to other parents and teachers to hear about their experiences. I've only heard awesome things from other parents and the kids all really enjoy it.
Speaking as a teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience, I could not ask for a better education for my child. The curriculum is psychologically sound, the facilities and materials are both beautiful and inspiring, and (most importantly) the teachers are nurturing, they challenge their students to grow, and they are completely committed to the Montessori method.
I would say that the academy's atmosphere is exceptional, the diversity is unique, and the class sizes are perfect. The education my child has received has been everything we expected and more. I would also say that Montessori Academy is managed and operated in a parent and child friendly manner.
Amazing teachers who are well trained in the Montessori method and are great in handling kids. My son attends primary program and he loves his time at MA. Best part is teachers take individual customized approach to handle a kid. As a parent I can definitely trust that my kid is in safe hands!
Montessori Academy has been a great fit for our family. We have three kids, one in toddler, one in primary, and one in lower Elementary. The teachers are available, classroom visits are always welcome and the growth and development of of the children is very important to the teachers.
Words can not express how my two children have thrived at Montessori Academy. They love going to school and are SO independent, given their age. The teachers and staff are exceptional and personally invested in the student's growth. I love this place! Kenny Stephens

My family has had a great experience at Montessori. It is a wonderful educational environment. The school is a bit conservative compared to some other local schools but I wouldn't change my son's experience.
My family and I truly love Montessori Academy method's of teaching. The school teachers are amazing. Any child could really benefit from this kind of learning. I highly recommend Montessori Academy.
