Hands down the best pet store for all of your needs! My black lab wasn't eating her kibble (as lab owners know, VERY unusual to not want to eat food!) and we found out that she also had pancreatitis. After switching from food to food, my friend recommended Moonlight Dog Cafe and it is true what others say, the customer service here just blew me away! Eb is extremely knowledgeable and patient on teaching you the basics of switching to a raw food, and the results i've seen are just spectacular. My dog is VERY excited to eat food, her fur is shinier, and she is itching less! The absolute best thing is that since I do not live downtown, Eb will make a trip out to our place once a month with a months worth of food to deliver. All the staff are nice and friendly. New location is bigger and I love the fact that they have more selections to choose from . Nice quality treats , gears and foods . Pretty much they have everything. If you want nice toys , harness , treats and this is the place to go . You will find a free street parking spot within a couple of blocks. About 4years ago, My dog had some allergic reactions to kibbles. It wasn’t seriously bad but obviously something was not right. At that time i was interested in raw food but I didn’t know what to do. A through-pets acquaintance recommended me this store so I decided to make a visit. Abe was so supportive . He even calculated the amount how much raw food I should feed to my baby. Thanks to him , the transition from kibbles to raw food was smooth . My dog’s allergic reactions disappeared and she is healthy now. They also have nice points system and that’s the good thing too . 20 dollars off using the points makes me feel like winning a lottery. I highly recommend this store !

Amazing! This is the greatest pet store I've ever visited, and with nine pets of four different species, I've been to a few. The selection, quality, and variety made me feel like a kid in a candy store. The raw products sold are organized with helpful visual guides displaying all the vital information of each brand, rather than reading it off each frozen package. I was able to figure out the best brand for my sensitive fuzzies. The staff are so friendly and helpful. When I had a question about a product they weren't certain of, they were immediately on the phone with the supplier to find out. To top off a great shopping experience, I was greeted by the fluffiest, friendliest kitty I've ever seen. I'm incredibly happy with my visit and my pets are possibly even happier with the result. I can't wait to be in Vancouver again to shop here again.

Just had the BEST experience at the Moonlight Dog Cafe! We are visiting from out of town, and our dog is not feeling well, and not eating properly. The owner, and nutrition specialist, came out to spend over 15 minutes with us - and offer most appreciated free advice, a few free sample treats, lots of free pets and free attention to our beloved Golden Doodle! My dog started having seizures and before giving him medication, I wanted to try something more natural. I went online and I saw that CBD oil can help with pet anxiety and seizures. I try to call around and most major pet stores do not sell CBD oil as you need a license to do so. I called moonlight natural pet store and they sold it! I was excited because I didn't want to order it from online, I wanted it as soon as possible. So I drove in, the service was wonderful. The lady asked a lot of question about my dogs as I don't know anything about CBD oil. I've been using my dog on it, hopefully it will work but it's great that the store had that option available without having us order it online and wait. I've been shopping with Moonlight Natural Pet store for past 6 months and they are by far one of the best pet store in Vancouver. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful without being judgmental and pushy. I have a 17 year old dog who is very selective what he will and can eat due to health issues. Moonlight has been so helpful helping me find the right food for him, answering all my questions and even gave me samples for my dog to try before committing to a full sized bag. I have nothing but positive things to say about Moonlight. I have so much gratitude to everyone on their team for always caring so much for helping me find what I need for my pets. Ordered dog food and a supplement online at 11 pm, well after they were closed. Free delivery and they did exactly what they said they would. Got it here the next day, called when it was on the way and when they got here. I'm adding to this. We were in here for the first time a couple of years ago, then went many months taking deliveries but never showing up in person. When I popped my head back in - without my dog - the owner somehow remembered who I was and my dog's name. I couldn't recommend them enough and the only reason we don't buy everything here is purely logistical - every experience is absolutely top notch, caring and genuine. Thank you.

TL;DR: Fantastic service. Staff went above and beyond. Great selection of pet food, toys, accessories.Competitive price. We went at weekend to the store to check out one of the backpack for our puppy. The staff was informational and helpful on the selection. When our puppy wasn't really used to the backpack the staff even tried bringing some treats to help as well. Their products are very competitive price wise comparing to other stores around Vancouver. The place has a lot of selections in terms of pet supplies and a cozy seating area. Definitely would recommend visiting!

A local gem, I’ve been going to Moonlight for about 7 years. They are a cut above the big chain stores. The owners Eb & Jo are super knowledgeable — they helped me to discover foods that work for my explosive ⚠️ terrierist when everything else didn’t work. We’ve been loyal fans ever since. As well as nutritious pet food & treats, they have the BEST selection of dog gear in the GVRD, which includes local brands as well as premium (e.g. Hurtta). They’re one of few shops that will deliver to the North Shore regularly, and the delivery communication is great.

I would like to thank the gentleman that was helping me here today. It was the best customer service I have ever received! I came in today asking for wet food for my 4y old cat who just had a congestive heart failure. The gentleman working today went absolutely above and beyond looking up the best food choices for my cat. He also was extremely sympathetic and left me feeling a a lot better about the entire situation. I will be forever grateful and will shop here again. I highly recommend this store! I came across Moonlight Pet online while looking for some very specific dog supplements. They have a great selection of products that I have difficulty finding in Ontario. I placed an order online and my order arrived within a very reasonable timeframe. I had emailed about tracking with Canada Post and received a very pleasant and prompt reply with all the information I needed. Their flat rate shipping is great and I would not hesitate to recommend them for their great service and selection of products. I will be ordering products from them again.

Staff is great and helpful, selection is really good. I really love this store, however the prices for raw pet food are incredibly high compared to other stores! I'm not talking compared to large chains either, other small local pet stores in the area have much lower prices. I was quite shocked. Like $15-20 more for the same exact product. I try to support local business as much as possible, but their price differences are outrageous so I will have to shop elsewhere. There's no reason to inflate prices that high, very greedy. Shame on you.

Above and beyond customer service. They always impress me. We had to stop going to Korna because of they always told us the food we ordered would come in. We would continually check and they assured us. Four times in a row, they lied to us. So when we discovered Moonlight Dog Cafe carried the same food and had such great service, we have never gone back since. They always have an extra box of food for us ready. We never have to place an order! They also sell the food we get (K-9 Choice Raw) in single serving bricks. Such a brilliant idea!

One of the best pet supply stores in town with fantastic selection of raw food for dogs and cats. They focus on curating quality products with natural, local and wholesome ingredients so lot of the brands that cannot be found in big chains likes Pets Mart can all be seen here. All staffs are very knowledgeable and they provide a very attentive and personable service. They also do free delivery(over $50 of purchase, if I remember correctly) every Tuesdays and Thursdays which can be a true life saver. Really can't recommend enough.

This is our go-to pet store! We have been loyal customers for a few years now since the store first opened. It's great seeing the business succeed and they absolutely deserve it as is reflected by all of the positive reviews to-date. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and would not hesitate to listen to your questions/concerns about your dog and make recommendations. They also have a lounge area to sit and relax while your dog gets a bit of playtime.

I order things from here almost every month and they always ship the same day as the order which is awesome because then it only takes a day or two to arrive (cant expect anything better than that) !! So far my orders are always complete and never damaged! The only thing I'd change is adding free shipping to orders over a minimum cost like 100$ for example. The prices for raw food are actually much lower than any other store in the city (believe me I’ve shopped around) and the selection is huge. By ordering bulk through Moon Dog I cut my dogs monthly food bill down by over 40%. By far my favourite pet store in Vancouver, there’s nothing else like it in the city. If I could give it 6 stars I would.

We placed an order online for a coat we couldn't find in our dog's size anywhere in the East Coast. It arrived extremely quickly, within days, even though it was coming from the other side of Canada. He needs a coat on once the Fall hits so on rainy days we always had to cut walks short enough that his coats didn't soak through enough to make him get cold. He doesn't like the hood, but this was a great purchase and arrives so quick.

I really love this place. Darren and his staff are super helpful. I went there to try on rain coats for my Vizsla her size was sold out but they were able to order her size and it arrived in a few days. Also they have the BEST dog treats my dog won't even look at treats from any other store. Highly recommend taking your dog here. They even have a scale to weigh your dog so you know what clothing size to try on.

I was really hesitant to start feeding my dog raw but after lots of research and some samples, I was able to find something that my dog liked (and within my budget)! 4 years later, we continue to support Eb & Jo and they've grown to be friends of ours! Excellent per store, if your dog suffers allergies, there are plenty of single protein options in all types of dog foods to stir your needs. The largest selection of Stella and Chewy that I've seen and cheaper than downtown pet stores for certain items. Also, the staff is fantastic!
