"I almost never give a single star review ever"
"I was excited to try this place out! I’m always on the look out for some great cocktails, but unfortunately I didn’t find any here"
"I really love that this establishment is supporting the local industry, by only using New Mexican made spirits in their cocktails"
"Barkeep makes a fantastic Old Fashioned! Even in these pandemic times, there's something nice about having a cocktail on the patio of 505 Central in the heart of downtown at sunset to cap off yet another in a long line of truly weird days"
"Not much to say other than even when there were only three patrons at the bar, none of the bar tenders acknowledged me at all"
I almost never give a single star review ever. I especially never complain about service because I know that working in the service industry is hard work and there's too many irritable people who don't give folks the benefit of the doubt. However, today I stopped by Moonwalk to grab a drink, I sat at the bar and the entire time I was there not a single bartender asked me what I wanted to drink, didn't hand me a menu, didn't even acknowledge my presence with a head nod a hand wave, nothing. I sat there for thirty minutes and saw plenty of other people get served even folks who had arrived well after I did. I walked away from the bar and I will never go back to this place. If someone walks into your establishment and takes a seat at the bar, even if it's very busy, the least you can do is say "sorry it's a bit busy it might take longer than usual," or you can say "I'll be right with you, here's a menu you can browse until I can get back to you."
I was excited to try this place out! I’m always on the look out for some great cocktails, but unfortunately I didn’t find any here. I was with a large group of people and none of us were impressed with our drinks. We had a spicy jalapeño margarita and another mixed drink the bartender recommended but they tasted watered down. The spicy jalapeño margarita had very little flavor and the pink drink had a light subtle flavor. Some other friends had other types of margaritas (can’t remember which types) but they all had similar comments. The three stars are for the bartenders. I will say that the bartenders were super friendly and funny which was really nice! I wouldn’t be opposed to going back and trying out different drinks. Maybe my first time there was just a one-off experience. Someone else left a review that they made a good Old Fashioned so I may have to get that next time!
I really love that this establishment is supporting the local industry, by only using New Mexican made spirits in their cocktails. That being said, I feel like Moonwalk has the potential to step up their game a little bit to really make these locally made spirits shine. As you can see, my old fashioned was pretty visually unexciting. It did however, taste great. In the age of people tagging your establishment on the gram and snap and what not, visually appealing is critical from a marketing standpoint. They also had available, a variety of local beers and ciders on to choose from as well. Also, the service was rather slow. The two employees working the bar on a Saturday night were working very hard, thank you for that! Perhaps an extra and or two could be helpful.
Barkeep makes a fantastic Old Fashioned! Even in these pandemic times, there's something nice about having a cocktail on the patio of 505 Central in the heart of downtown at sunset to cap off yet another in a long line of truly weird days. Pair with a cup of Clam Chowder from Pier None for a more tony, east coast / Locke-Ober's (RIP) of Boston - type feel!
Not much to say other than even when there were only three patrons at the bar, none of the bar tenders acknowledged me at all. Finally come over I ask for a menu, to only be told we don't have one what do you want? Drink sucked (got a mule), service sucked. To top it off this has happened twice. So definitely not going to be going there again.
Awesome new bar inside the 505 Food Hall! They have a great selection of local beers, wines, and liquors for making your favorite cocktails. Definitely grab a drink here while exploring the many delicious food options in the food hall.
The moon is the cutest thing here, the bartenders are nice and the drinks are amazing. They usually have live music too.

Hidden in the back of 505 Food Hall, everything they serve is local (including a few beers on tap of their own). Excellent people working behind the bar. I highly recommend stopping by.
I love this place--great selection of local beers, wines, and spirits. Fantastic happy hour and super friendly bartenders. Not to mention, the cocktails are delicious.
I had a really good margarita, made with agave instead of tequila. Very friendly bartender named Mattie gave me as a tourist some valuable information about the town.
Very confused by the one star reviews. I go to Moonwalk a LOT. Every single bartender is polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Especially Josh. Josh is the best.
They really don't know how to handle a busy night (artwalk). Waited over 20 min at the bar and us and everyone else were ignored.

The bartenders here are so freaking nice and helpful. Really made this bar a great place to visit!
Great service. Good beer. Own and local guest beers. Cocktails. Bar seating. Nicely decorated.
When you pay the payment defaults to 20%, 30%, or 40% tip. What a joke.
Friendly bartenders, good tap beer selection and a great happy hour.
