A quite, soothing place to study for both University of Ottawa students and general public. There are 6 floors in total. 1st floor has service desk, a lounge, standing desks. 2nd floor doesn't have any study spaces but is connected to other building through a hallway. 3rd and 5th floor have numerous study carrels for studying personally. 4th abd 6th floor constitutes of study carrels as well as meeting rooms that can be reserved from uottawa library website. 6th floor has a graduate study room as well which is only accessible through access code provided to graduate students. All floors have numerous workstations and printers for browsing on the go or taking some printouts. Note that library closes for general public at 11 pm but is open till 2 am for the University of Ottawa students. Hope it helps.

good place to study in general. bring ear plugs just in case if you want absolute silence and are studying by yourself. Even on the 4th and 6th floors people will still chat with each other. It only ever really becomes an issue during exam prep time. In which case it is VERY annoying how much people talk to one another on the silent floors.

They need to clean the bathroom more often and I don't know if uOttawa over admitted people this year or what because the library never used to be this busy pre COVID-19. You can't even get a computer these days. They also need to bring back the 24/7 study room.

Great library when u come for a conference and you need to finish your paper. Kind of dirty too. They should add more cleaning stuff. I wasn’t impressed with technology nor the arrangement. I changed 3 outlets before charging my laptop

During my Undergrad I used this library countless amount of times. They have sooo many books for any kind of research you need to do. Avoid floor 5 if your looking for some serious studying.

It is a good, quiet place for studying. However, there are many chewing gums on the corners of studying tables. I hope someone can clean them completely.

You can book rooms in the library so its ideal for project discussion with your group. I have seen students spending their entire day in the library.

Nice library! Lots of places to study and each floor has a different noise level which is super nice!

Huge selection of books and lots of services, but the study rooms are just about full during the day.

5th floor is good for talking and 4 and 3 are best for silent independent studying

Bad hours, 24/7 study has little sunlight, and confusing layout.
