If you're a new patient and you made an appointment via their online system, you definitely want to read this review because no one working there is gonna give you the courtesy to break the bad news to you: your appointment doesn't exist. Made an appointment in mid-January for the next available appointment that I could make, which was March 7. Long time, but okay, I get that we're living in a time of covid and things are complicated. On March 4, I thought it was odd that I hadn't heard from them (often doctors' offices remind patients of upcoming appointments) so I called them. I was told that the doctor with whom I'd made the appointment was not accepting new patients and that they were "having problems with the online system." So... my appointment that I'd been waiting 2 months for didn't even exist. And no one bothered to notify me. WOW. But surely someone there must have seen the appointment that I booked, right? No one called to say "hey, sorry, but this doctor isn't accepting new patients"? Or how about, I don't know, stop making the online system available? Sorry but that's a HUGE F-up.
I'm a patient of the Mount Sinai network and I have been so for five years or so. My PCP is great and other patients have taken notice. Often when I need to schedule a quick appointment he's usually unavailable. In these instances, I have explored other providers at Mount Sinai to provide me with services. Kaitlyn Billington, NP usually has availability and she has been my 2nd option. The first time I went to her, I'm not certain if she was inexperienced then but she gave me preliminary information that scared the heck out of me. It turned out to be incorrect. The second visit is one that I had with her recently and it was deeply disappointing. Prior to scheduling my appointment I entered the reason for my visit on mychart and called Mount Sinai to inform them as well. Turns out the reason that I came could not be tested. My issue is that if I inputted my information appropriately and it was on their chart why didn't they cancel the appointment? I wasted my precious time and copay. Never again will I go to her again and I'm considering other networks for a better patient experience.
Had an appointment with endocrinology here and got back irregular blood work. I was told the doctor would contact me. I send messages every couple of days and call the office trying to follow up. It’s now been two months and to this day I still cannot get in contact with the doctor, calling the office is absolutely no help either. Nobody answers messages and I keep being told over the phone she will get back to me on high priority.. nobody ever does. I just feel extremely helpless and confused, and it’s impossible to get an appointment with a new endocrinologist anytime soon. I’m not sure what to do but I find this absolutely ridiculous and have never had an experience like this before. Dr. Emily Nosova, do not recommend here.
Great doctors but awful, awful staff to deal with on the phone that makes life so difficult. I have 1 recurring prescription and each time I need it refilled and there is an issue, I call and can never get anyone to help connect me to my doctor to straighten out the issue. I've spent so much time on the phone with these people, as if I don't have my own job to do during the day rather than fighting with their customer service people on the phone. If you call too close to closing time, they also just won't pick up. Terrible service, but such a shame because the actual doctors are fantastic.
The doctors and most of the front desk are great. However something has to be done with the rude gentleman at the front desk in main lobby. I believe it’s the same combover guy people have been complaining about. He should seriously take some human relation classes to be allowed for such a job. He already initiates a bad experience before even seeing the doctors. Everyone is allowed a stressful day but this man is a frequent “hate my job” kind of mentality. He really gives the building a bad look.
I must echo another review here. If you make an appointment, it does not exist. You can call, make an appointment, but it does not exist. Calling to make an appointment, at the very least, is worthless, even if you make it weeks earlier and depend on that time being reserved for you. If you get there with an appointment, there is a good chance you will be sent away because they have no record of it. Deeply unpleasant experience, so wonderful that this is our healthcare system.
I had a quick and easy physical appointment today. From security, front desk, nurses and Dr. Everyone was lovely and helpful. I had filled out all the paperwork on their portal in advance and was able to zoom through the process. I typically don’t write reviews, but in light of the negative reviews, it seemed only fair to offer my perspective and share my positive experience.
Had an appointment on the second floor. The gentleman behind the counter with the comb over hair style is extremely rude. No customer services skills whatsoever and no sense of compassion for sick people. A patient who went to the front desk right after me asked the employee why he was giving him an attitude, so I know it's not just me. Also waiting over an hour to be seen.
Very impressive care and I prefer that you see a “group” as opposed to one doctor. That way many eyes are always on your care-not judt one person. Dr.Kasssenoff delivered me in February 2020 at Mt Sinai and managed what ended up being a complicated delivery very well. Top notch experienced doctors are in this practice.
Waited 90 minutes in waiting room, another 20 in office before seeing doctor. If he’s running behind schedule, call to let your patience know. Mount Sinai is a joke and only cares about padding its bottom line
