BEST movie rental place ever! Super-friendly, super-helpful, super-responsive. The owners know everything worth knowing about movies and TV or streaming series; they can provide expert guidance and suggestions. They have an unbelievably rich collection of classics and all-time great films, and they can find and procure almost anything. They are also an important landmark of the community, dedicated to the vanishing model of the independent small business. For me—a movie and video buff—Movies ‘n Stuff is the most unique and treasured establishment in Ottawa and all Eastern Ontario/West Quebec, and I feel incredibly lucky they’re in my neighbourhood.

Way back in the early 80's when video stores first came out, it was a marvelous thing. The staff were movie buffs and picking a winner was fairly simple. Movies 'n Stuff is a throwback to those days. It's an awesome neighborhood movie store. The staff are friendly and attentive and recommendations are always spot on. It's so nice to visit a store where they remember your name and know what your preferences are. It's local, it's convenient, what's NOT to like??

Wonderful wee shop! Peter and the staff are beyond helpful and friendly. An outstanding personal experience you don’t find anymore, reminds us of our childhood at the local vhs shop. A great sense of community and family when you leave this place. Phenomenal selection of anything DVD, with cool gifts and handmade jewellery. We absolutely love the experience of visiting this shop.....even when it’s time to pay our late fees! Hahaha.

We love everything about this place. The friendliest, most helpful staff you will ever meet. They have great prices, the employees are very knowledgeable about movies both current and classic, and take the time to help you find whatever you're looking for. It's all I can do to not go there every day, spin around and around laughing with my arms outstretched surrounded by the greatest moments in cinema. Perhaps I've said too much.

Woa..what amazing Service! Stopped in w/ a movie emergency. Two movies I ordered on Amazon were not being delivered on time. I needed them for a Autism social group. Movies and Stuff had what I needed!! Im skipping amazon in the future and going straight to Movies n stuff from now on!! Nice store, great selection and fantastic service!!!!

One of the only places in Ottawa to rent DVDS, and has a great selection of New Titles, as well as all kinds of new and old Video Games. A friendly and helpful staff and a well run business. is always present and pleasant. I am never disappointed when I go there and can always find some entertainment to please.

One of the last great video rental places. Not only can you get the movies you want, but it's a great place to run into other people to chat about the films and get a tip about a film you might like that you never knew about. Keep going for the films, and keep one of the last vestiges of community alive, too!

I dealt with a very friendly cool employee by the name of "Chris" who found me a movie I was looking for for a long time!! Not only was Chris extremely pleasant & efficient he also ordered the film for me! Excellent service and great local shop! This is how you win new clients like myself! 5 stars!

An absolute gem of a store, with the friendliest staff you ever did meet. Peter's knowledge and clear love of movies allows a much more personal curation that streaming platforms cannot offer. You will always leave with a smile on your face & once you start renting, you won't be able to stop ! :)

Movies N stuff is the best local movie and game rental store. I grew up in the neighbourhood and I’ve been going there for over 20 years. The owner and staff are always super nice, and they have an amazing collection, from new releases to hidden gems. Keep local businesses alive!!!!

Very nice store. I visited this store this February. I got Kiki's Delivery Service (2003 DVD), so thanks to the store owner I finally get to keep it because I love the movie. I need to rent more DVD's someday. Is this store still open for business? I hope so! :)

I went searching for a secondhand movie store, and I was amazed to find this little movie rental place. Excellent selection, personable staff member, and a bluray blowout sale that increased my collection. They don't do movie store like this anymore.

The simple fact that this business is still alive in this day and age makes it worth 5 stars. I've been there in the past but haven't been in a looong time. But it's still standing. It's either solid management of customer fidelity. +5

A classic movie rental location. I remember going here 20 years ago and the fact they are still around is amazing. This place is will always be part of me and my family. Always had great experience.

Small place, looks unimpressive, but go in and you'll find a wonderful store. Don't judge it by its looks! The store has a huge selection, great staff, and some awesome used media deals.

Excellent Movie shop. Lots of options. Peter is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have found here joy from movies I would have never heard of in almighty Netflix, etc.
