We came here for Valentine's Day. I haven't been to a Moxies in a very long time. Probably 6-7 years. I have to say we were very impressed. The food and service was great. Lots of parking available. We started with the Calamari and the Tuna Sushi Stack. We Enjoyed both these dishes. The Calamari was perfectly cooked and was served with 2 dipping sauces. A creamy garlic dip and a thai sweet sauce. The Tuna sushi stack was full different textures and flavours. The tuna sashimi was mixed with avocado and mango which really evaluated the dish with sweet and salty. You scoop the mix onto these shrimp chips and it was added crunch. We got the 2 can dine special and upgrade the steaks to the rib eyes. The steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare. They came over and did fresh cracked pepper. The peppercorn sauce was way to salty. I had to avoid this sauce as it was just too salty for me. The mashed potatoes were decent. I found them just a little bit over worked. The asparagus also was a tad over cooked. But aside from that still a very good meal. The dessert included was 3 desserts of their dessert menus. These were smaller portions but gave as variety and chance to try most of the desserts. I was excited for the white chocolate brownie cause I remember how good it was back in the day. But it was not as good as I remember it. I thought it would have been the best dessert on the plate but it was not. It was not as warm as I remember. The key lime pie was our favourite. The other was a sticky toffee pudding with a caramel sauce and scoop of ice cream. It was topped with toasted almonds and it was probably our second favourite. The kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and pasta. Their meals came with a volcano style scoop of ice cream which they loved. Kids love dry ice! Overall we had a great dinner experience at Moxies. The service was good and the food was great. There could be some improvements but I would say better than Earls! We would come back again forsure.

We came to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was really easy to make a reservation and add another person later because I was misinformed of how many people were coming. The front of house were super nice and our server was also amazing during our time there. I got the Beef Dip, without horseradish (personal preference). My boyfriend got the Bacon Cheeseburger and the other dishes ordered were the Chimichurri salad, Kid's Pasta, Loaded Cheeseburger and the Beyond Meat Burger. Everyone felt like the food wasn't very flavourful. The fries were seasoned well but our sandwiches and salad were kind of bland. Removing the horseradish from my meal might have been the reason why. The kid's pasta was a pretty large portion for children but they enjoyed it. We ended the night with the iconic White Chocolate Brownie and the Volcano Ice Cream (a bowl of ice cream with liquid nitrogen to mimic smoke from a volcano) They had a lot of fun with the theatrics of the ice cream and it tasted fresh and like "spicy" vanilla (in my boyfriend's words ) Overall the atmosphere, the amazing service and that heavenly White Chocolate Brownie made the dinner worth it.

Came in for an anniversary dinner last month on the 27th, was immediately greeted by one of your staff and she was extremely kind and polite. We then sat near the bar and had a look at the menu and had an idea of what we wanted to order and drink, so far so good. We informed the waitress who served us that night of my allergies and unfortunately, almost couldn’t eat anything on the menu. Although this was on our behalf of not calling ahead of time, the chef and waitress went beyond and above to ensure that there was something I could eat and made sure there was absolutely no cross contamination with any of my allergens in the kitchen. The bill was rather high, we also tipped a good amount but for the price we paid and amount of food we ordered and the drinks we got along with my allergies, unfortunately I can’t see myself coming back again. Spectacular service however, was very well accommodated and the environment was rather cozy and not too loud. Hence the 3 stars. Thank you to the staff members who served us that night, including the chef :)

We were so excited to dine, it was our first. We were welcome as we entered, made us so excited. We dine with the kids because of our anniv. Food were all perfect, very delicious. I love the kids ice cream with dry ice. Kids were so excited to have them. The service of the waitress assigned to our table was ok. Not great but ok. I say this bec I can see from her face she is not having a good day. If we have not asked for the kids drink and desert she would not even ask if to serve or not. My kids were having their meal and almost finished it without having their drinks on the table. She was fast in giving our bill and offered coffee but it was too long to wait that we left without having it. We also left our take away we didnt see any other menus about desert though, we were not offered too.

We stopped in for a late dinner on Sunday night with our young family. The restaurant was fairly busy, but the patio more so as it was a beautiful evening. Our server was amazing and seemed to be juggling lots of tables inside and out, which leads me to believe they may have been a little understaffed the evening we visited. Nonetheless, we were well taken care of and our kids absolutely loved their meals, as did my wife and I. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and were extremely flavourful. The kids enjoyed their dessert as did we. I just wish they hadn't run out of their watermelon sangria, but their Mojito hit the spot on the hot day. It would also be nice if they offered some veggies to go along with the kids meals.

This was my hubbies and my first time dinning here last night. We helped celebrate and treated our best friend's 1st Wedding Anniversary. The food was phenomenal and the service was spectacular. We ate in the lounge, which was very cozy and comfortable. Well definitely be eating here again on special occasions. We highly suggest this restaurant to anyone looking to eat yummy quality food. My hubby has the salmon and I had the mushroom sirloin.

We had reservations and when I booked the reservations I had specifically asked that I get a special treat for my mom and dad for each of their birthdays. A couple of days before we were to show up I get a confirmation text and in that text it asked if it was a special occasion and if there was anything special to be done. I said yes this was for my mom and dad's birthday and I would like a special treat it did not happen and I was extremely disappointed. The service itself was very very slow. Great experience for our party of 7. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who promptly seated us. Our server Lauren was great! Friendly, attentive, and made suggestions given it was our first time visiting. Food was delicious. We had the avocado dip for an appetizer, burgers, shrimp tacos, lettuce wraps, and blacked chicken. Drinks were fantastic too. Loved the margaritas and peach bellini. Would definitely eat there again.

Been a minute since I’ve dined in at Moxies Barlow! I was not disappointed all by the food or service that was presented to us today. For my appetizer I got the avocado dip, super delicious! A mix of taro and tortilla chips to pair with the flavourful dip. For my entree I got myself a mushroom sirloin steak, it was cooked perfectly medium rare and the mushroom sauce that came was super rich and had good depth of flavour. The sauce at some times would be a bit over salted. It would be good if they were to have the sauce separate so you can have a better sear and crust on the steak.

Wonderful service and perfect for a family catch up evening during Stampede. We had the tomato feta appetizer, which is probably our favorite thing on the menu. I had the avocado bacon Cobb salad which was very good. Hilary was our server and she was friendly and efficient. She made sure everything was right with our table. We appreciated that she was there if we needed anything but allowed us to visit with our family. Great night out for us!

This place is a 5-minute walking distance from the hotel I am staying, was very convenient for breakfast and dinner too. I ordered breakfast classic and it was 4.5 out of 5. And I ordered top sirloin steak in medium rare for dinner, it was 4 out of 5 coz I find the seasoning a bit much in salt. Both times I am here I have not greeted by someone. I have to wait to be seen and to be seated that why it is a 4 star. But I think they could be better.

My husband and I went here for dessert one evening. They were a little busy and got us seated quickly but then we had to wait an extra 5 minutes or so for the dessert menu. To apologize for the wait, the server offered to give us our dessert for free! We didn’t think the wait was a big deal, but our server wanted to be sure we got exceptional service. Then our free white chocolate brownie arrived quickly and tasted excellent! I would definitely go back to eat another one and pay full price for it!

This was the Moxies in Red Deer. The CFR ( Canadian Finals Rodeo ) was on and the staff looked Great! Our server had a fringed vest, skirt and cowboy boots on. She was an excellent server. ~3.5⭐️ Always a good place for ambience but overpriced unfocused cuisine dishes. Most dishes we ordered were good. Calamari portion is on the smaller side. Nachos were great but toppings and cheese inconsistently spread out around the ring of chips. Tuna poke bowl is huge and has a good balance of greens but the 2 egg halves were not from the same egg. Desserts were all awesome, but cheesecake is more salty than tangy, which didn’t pair well with the acidic fruit sauce on the bottom.

The kids menu is great. Lots of good options outside of chicken strips and a burger. My son had rhe salmon with rice which was an unexpected offering. My avacado and bacon salad was just okay. Ordered it with chicken but there was hardly any chicken. I likely wouldn't order it again. Service was a bit disappointing. Our waiter never came back and after waiting 20 minutes to get the bill I finally flagged somebody down and was able to pay.

Our server Afra was full of life and so beautifully hospitable! The female staff were absolutely refreshing and despite being visibly short staffed- absolutely slayed it and were on top of all their guests needs. The atmosphere was quite posh in the lounge and inspired relaxation and girls/ guys night! The lavender lemonade is out of this world!~

Great food! I ordered the sirloin steak and it was absolutely wonderful and was filled with flavors with a side of mashed potato's and the steak sauce. The sauce itself was also very flavorful but complimented the steak in a good way! The staff was also very helpful in finding something to order and helped find a drink. While the food was a bit pricy, It was definitely worth it place. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed outing with good food options!

Haven't been to a moxies in probably about 10 years, but after going last night I dont know why I've been denying myself. The nachos are 10/10. The lavender lemonade is 11/10. Just dined at moxies for the first time . My server don was knowledgeable and great with recommendations. I had the Cobb salad and it was flavourful and savoury. Our drinks were never empty, and everything came out in a timely fashion. Another server named grace was also quick to check on how we were enjoying our food . Was here for a business meeting that got canceled as I pulled into the parking lot. Decided to come in for lunch anyway and glad I did. Cheese burger and ceaser salad that I made short work of!! So good! Sat at the bar so a big shout out to Payton the bartender. We bonded over our shared love of procrastination!

The atmosphere at Moxies Barlow is like walking into a 1920's speak easy. Low lights, dark furniture and a set for adventure. It is really a neat combination. There are small nooks for seating outside the main room for banquets and meetings

Good spot for a late night bite. There wasn’t much else open at 11pm, so my expectations weren’t high, but I was pleasantly surprised. Super fresh and well made burger with very fresh ingredients. The fries were delicious and fresh too!
