I have tried to avoid going to Joey's for a long time because it's really not my type of restaurant HOWEVER, the other day I visited the one at yorkdale and I was happy I did. At first I wasn't too excited as I was sat near the bar area and I would have preferred somewhere else but my fault for not saying anything. . After taking a look at the menu I was happy to see a couple mocktails so extra points for that. I was shocked to sed the menu for a place like this was very small. The server said that because of covid the menu was shrunk and they havnt gotten back to the bigger menus... I get that for a mom and pops place but Joey's should be able to provide an extensive menu with more selection... We ordered the cod and crabcakes and mentioned we were going to split them between the two of us. What I experienced next has never happend to me in any restaurant ever.... THE SERVER GOT THE DISHES MADE ON 2 PLATES SO WE DIDNT HAVE TO CUT IT UP OURSELVES! Such a basic thing (sometimes a pain for the cooks) but she did it without even asking us. Such an amazing little detail and I have not stopped talking about it. I don't know the servers name but I was so impressed that I had even mentioned it to her when paying the bill. It blew my mind and left a great impression on me. I will be back to Joey's, just maybe when they get some more menu items .

My brothers and I came to this establishment today for lunch. We had the absolute WORST service. Our server was no where to be found. It took about 15 minutes to be greeted by her after we sat. We had to raise our hands as if we are in kindergarten just to get her attention. We asked her to change the channel to the football game and she acknowledged it but did not do it. The table beside us even asked us if we’ve seen our server. No table checks to see how our food is, or if we wanted to order anything else. We had to get up to place an order. She had no knowledge of the menu, and charged us for things like guacamole that we did not even ask for. She didn’t clear our table so the dishes were piled up. We waited a long time just to get the bill. We had to get up and ask the manager for the bill. She was no where to be found! On top of all of that, THERE WERE ONLY TWO TABLES. We just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. I highly do NOT recommend going to this Moxies. This experience was such a shame from a place like Moxies and we will never be going to Moxies ever again. What a joke. Train your staff properly, it’s the SERVICE industry.

I went here on December 29th, and was enjoying my time with my colleagues. Some people started shouting at an employee and my friends stepped in and asked them to stop, when I, a turban man, told everyone to calm down, the waiter, Steven, came and said that I yelled at him. The employee and two other people supported me in this. Steven and the waitress, both misbehaved with the entirety of my staff as we were enjoying our new year party. I was the only turban guy, and that’s why they picked me over the other group of drunk people and even my staff when I had the least of everyone there. Steven pushed me and didn’t allow me to go to the washroom, kicking me out, so we decided to leave and went to Montana. Food wasn’t bad though ngl. Tl:Dr We went to Montana, a much better restaurant right beside Moxies. I recommended everyone to go to Montana, as their food and service was better. I hope everyone boycotts this Moxies location, until they are able to properly train their staff in both unconscious and conscious bias.

Went for a birthday party, at around 7. Food was alright I didn't really like the beans the cook kind of too hard. Our server was okay and we enjoyed our night. Accessibility wise some areas are not accessible for people in wheelchairs because their steps but they can put you in the booth on the lower level but you can maybe not by servers walking around. Just a heads up for people to know there are gratuity added to your bill.

The place is a little inaccessible the inside yes the door has an automatic opening however some of the booths require to go up a step so some seating is limited to you and your wheelchair can be sticking out in the way so you may be hit by server by accident in the area I got what I was in. But that maybe not happen if they have special seating for people in a different area that I didn't see

First time coming to this location, went out with a friend and was greeted by a very nice server who constantly checked up on us. The food was really good. The calamari was nice and crunchy, and I love how there are shrimps in them. The batter was thin and sauces were both delicious. The nachos were my favourite, we added spicy beef but it wasn’t spicy at all, the bottom layer of the nachos had melted cheese all over so you won’t have much nachos that aren’t covered with anything. The watermelon sangria is part of their summer menu, it was absolutely refreshing, you taste the alcohol but it wasn’t too strong, you can definitely taste the watermelon so it was very easy to drink. My friend ordered a white peach bellini and she loved it, it was like a soft serve slushie, perfectly blended and also refreshing. All 4 items totalled to $100+ with gratuity so it’s on the more expensive side but I guess it was worth it since everything was delicious. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience visiting this moxies. Been to other Moxies locations tens of times and this one was also great. Service was amazing thanks to the wonderful staff from the front desk to the table. Food was great - we ordered the Nachos, caesar salad, and loaded burger. Food came out in a timely manner and tasted delightful. Would recommend this location to others and will be happy to come back. Useful tip: when ordering the Nachos, be sure to ask for extra Pico on top.

Lots of vegetarian options for those who are vegetarian. The Nachos are a great option alongside the lettuce wraps.

We ordered a regular ceasar salad to share-It had literally no dressing. Our mains were- shrimp tacos ( the guacamole was just mashed avocados- no flavour). Lime wedges were completely dry… no juice to squeeze out whatsoever. Blackened chicken- way too salty, since it’s seasoned chicken breast with bacon on top. Kids meal- salmon with rice and seasonal vegetables (child was hungry so ate it) Overall a below mediocre experience Spent $100 for a family of 3 with tip Way too much for the quality of food served To top it all, 2 out of the 3 of us got some serious runs when we got home. That says it all….

Arrived in the evening around dinner, we were seated fairly quickly. We were a party of 4 I feel as if we should of got a round table booth we were forced to squeeze into another booth. Our server seemed very new, we were waiting for her to ask if we’re celebrating anything, we later had to tell her we were celebrating a birthday. She seemed very friendly we were always waiting for refills, our food came hot and ready. We ordered the sushi cones, calamari and bruschetta as the appetizer and those who ordered meals got the fish tacos and chips and the ribs and potatoes. All four of us ordered Bellinis, and we’re carded which was crazy because all of us look way over the age limit but we took it as a compliment. Overall experience 10/10 Food 8/10 Service 6/10 Cleanliness 10/10

Server Kamal placed shrimp in front of me saying that it was calamari despite knowing of my severe anaphylaxis allergy. Moxie's needs to highlight shrimp on the menu instead of burying the lede. The cherry on top was cilantro garnish on the shrimp and calamari I ordered a tuna bowl $27 which had very little actual tuna. Took home the key lime pie. Very strange whipped cream filled with tiny pieces of pecans and mint. Despite sitting at a very drafty group table near the window we all went home stinking of kitchen grill cooking scent clinging to clothing and hair. Ventilation needs improvement. I don't recommend this place.

So I made a reservation on OpenTable with Moxie's the same day I wanted to go. When I got to Moxie's they said same day reservations aren't valid. So off the bat I was annoyed and frustrated, why would they let me make a reservation and give me a confirmation number if it wasn't valid? They ended up sitting us at the bar. I wanted a table but we had movies plans after so just accepted it. We had the calamari, the blackened chicken burger and the prawn tigletelli. The calamari was good. The chicken burger was good - juicy, flavourful, nice soft toasted bun and the fries were also quite good. The prawn tigletelli was okay. It really didn't have much flavour and wasn't worth the price. 2 stars for experience and 4 for food. 3 overall.

Not a bad place. It's the typical Moxie's experience. The food is good and predictable. The inside decor is very cool and stylish. I very much appreciated the younger crowd. A great place to go before (or after) a movie. The location seems to be brand new as it still smelled a bit like drywall. Anyways, we had several plates - the Beef Vindaloo is mediocre, don't bother because it is not typical Desi cuisine and doesn't come close to say a Nirvana. The sticky pudding dessert was really REALLY good - probably the best I've had. The smashed avocado salad/nachos was very strange. It tasted great but it comes with a person coming by who literally grinds the avocado into a puree - weird and strangely suggestive. Will come back.

I am fan of this Moxie location, experience is great on each visit. I loved their bar area but dining area is equally good and welcoming. Always good service and food tastes great. Half price wine Wednesday’s is my team’s favourite time to be here. In summers patio experience is great too! If you are here and vegetarian then try their Roasted Tomatoes & Whipped Feta and my all time favourite Vegan Tofu Lettuce Wraps. Guac dip and chips also tastes great. What a great first experience at this location. Our server was David, he was absolutely amazing. He asked our names and personally addressed us when he attended the table. We came to the area for Illumi, and this is where we chose for dinner, glad we did. In addition, we had some time to spare between our ticket time and dinner, and David assisted us in finding something to do before hand.

Service is better than the food. 5 star to their service. The environment and atmosphere are nice. Update: We'd like medium for both steak. However, one was overcooked, another one was undercooked. We asked to cook a little bit more time for the undercooked one, they were quick to offer a small appetizer while waiting the steak.

I don't remember the last time we were at a Moxie's restaurant but thankfully this recent visit was a positive experience. We were here to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Surprisingly the calamari, and the tuna poke bowl were delish! The nachos was plentiful, and my fave was the tuna sushi stack. We had the cheesecake for dessert, which was also really good. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely return to this location.

The food was ok but not the best. The place is very clean and nice decorated like any other moxies restaurant. If you are looking to get good steak moxies wouldn’t be the best place for it but any other food is good. We ordered some cocktails, they were amazing! There draft beer is great too. Overall, I would rate Moxies 4 stars! You can tell that they tried hard, their waitress doing great job. Also, if you end up going there make sure to try their appetizers! :)

Came here for dessert on a Friday night. Dessert was just okay. Drinks didn’t come. We had to flag down our hostess twice to be told that someone else took one of our drinks and they’re now working on it. The other drinks were unavailable because they ran out of a fruit purée they use in it. All in all, not a good experience. But I like the place so willing to give it a shot again.

Great leisurely lunch with friends. Everyone enjoyed their food. Only compliant is the smallish round booth for 4 people want great for shuffling in and out to the bathroom and such. But the food was great. And the atmosphere good. We weren't rushed despite being there for 3 hours which was nice.

Love coming to moxies & this location is spectacular. Clean, staff were friendly and the food was Bueno. Muahs. I had the mushroom steak sirloin (its my favourite) & my boyfriend had the Chipotle mango chicken. Soooo tasty. . To top it off, we had the white chocolate brownie afterwards, I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I'd eat that dessert anytime of the day.

Jess was such a great bartender. She was so sweet when taking my order. I didnt know what drink to get so i told her to surprise me. Not sure what drink she gave me but it was really good. Overall, great service and will be coming back again!

Came here during their Happy Hour and was super excited to try their cocktails! Got their Peach Bellini and it was delicious. Also got their Steak Frites and wanted it medium rare, but unfortunately, I don’t think the steak was rested enough as it was very chewy. Our server was nice as well, but was charged the full price instead of the happy hour prices…

The food is good but the service was quite slow to the point that our dessert arrived before our actual food almost 45 minutes later. It was a bit later around 9:45 - 10 pm but the restaurant was relatively not busy. The new white chocolate brownie is delicious and definitely worth ordering if you’re there. I would check wait times in advance as well.

I have been to this location twice during the pandemic and I felt safe, they sanitized and protocols were followed. The food was good, the second time around there wasn't a lot of pasta dishes to choose from, maybe just a seasonal change in menu. Overall great location and I will be going back.

Came out to celebrate July birthdays with my friends and to go to a concert. The staff served us quickly to help us get to the concert on time. I had the Loaded burger and LOVED it!! The salad, everything was tasty. They even gave us free birthday treats

Lovely round table for 8 in the corner by the window was perfect for our family mix of three generations. For those of us with adult tastes, the sticky toffee pudding was a delicious finishing touch.

We had a great experience dining outdoors at Moxies recently. It was still during COVID but we were very satisfied with their handling of everything making us feel safe. The food and revised menu were also excellent along with the service.

Location is a bit out of the way compared to the Square One Moxies yet it was a pleasant experience especially if you have a large group. Food quality is great and I even tried a bit of a friend's pasta since it was my favorite kind of

Had a late lunch on the patio at Moxies and it was a wonderful experience, the server was very attentive and rhe food very flavorful. Haven't been to this location before and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere, would definitely go back!

Great first experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating of my wife's food allergies. The live music on the patio was a pleasant surprise and not overbearing, I could still have a conversation with everyone around me.

Great service and great food. Our table enjoyed the blackened shrimp tacos, salmon, babyrack ribs, a woo woo tini, and a white chocolate brownie desert. All were fantastic.

Moxies. Always a great place to celebrate. Prices here are on the very high side. But when you have a big family celebration, this is a go-to place.
