Incredibly delicious, kind, and patient! The owner gets amazingly delicious fresh salmon straight off the boat and was not only kind enough to show me the beautiful fish that was thawing for the next day, she went above and beyond and gave us some smoked salmon to eat for later. The food was phenomenal, unbelievably good. It's a shame I never came here before, but I'm happy that after several years in the U District I finally decided to stop in. All staff were incredibly friendly, the price was a steal, the food was beyond delicious, the service was speedy, and honestly I don't think I could say a single thing they need to improve on at all! They even were incredibly patient with my 9 year old sister who my wife and I were watching for the night, and brought a smile to her face with their aquarium and friendliness. If I could rate 6 stars, I would. I recommend anyone looking for delicious fish, chicken, or beef burgers/sandwiches: visit this place ASAP! You won't regret it! To the owner(s): thank you so much - you were wonderful and I hope to see you again very soon. ♥️

The food and service were excellent. It was a great price for a large plate of food. The burger was so big I couldn't get a bite at first! Only downside was it's a fairly hot day and humid so the restaurant was a bit warm inside. Totally understandable. The kind woman who helped us also expertly and KINDLY helped a homeless gentleman who came in asking for some water. She expertly got a to-go cup and filled it for him and was polite about it, then got him headed back out the door with no fuss at all. Nice to see some humanity nowadays. I will gladly come back any time we are in the area!

We had to park on the street in paid parking because it was 3pm on a Thursday. We found a spot about 3 blocks away but ended up shopping our way back to the car so it was worth it in the end.
I’ve been going to Mr. Lu’s for years. I was just a wee lad of 17 years old when I moved to Ravenna and would frequent for any combination of menu item with a sweet potato fry. I’m now 27 and nothings changed. The food is quick, guaranteed delicious, and a down right bargain in this day and age. They will forever have my business and they should have yours as well.

Great food and a favorite stop for my girlfriend and I. Her favorite is the Salmon & Chips, and mine the Seafood Combo (It comes with salmon but I opt to just get it with prawns and oyster instead since they taste so good). Their chicken burgers are consistently great but I've had some greasy encounters when it came to their beef burgers (Nothing too bad, I would still order them). If there's one thing I heavily recommend it would be their milkshakes. The peanut butter milkshakes they serve taste like a reese's mixed with vanilla ice cream and it hits different on a hot day.
The staff here are really friendly. They were able to customize the sandwiches to our preferences. We ordered the grilled salmon and the blackened salmon sandwiches along with a side of fries. Both sandwiches were fantastic. The buns were toasted, the salmon was cooked just right, and the fries were fresh and crunchy. The sauce that comes with the blackened sandwich was also good. The whole meal was priced reasonably. I highly recommend coming here for the fish sandwiches.

Overall this place was ok. If I was a college student I'd give it 4 stars. We ordered (1) the Cajun burger, (2) the Hawaiian salmon burgers, and (3) onion rings. The customer service was great, but I'm rating based in the food. The onion rings we're fried to order and tasted amazing. 5/5 The Hawaiian salmon burger tasted bad. My fault for ordering pineapples with fish, but even the salmon tasted too fishy. 2/5 The Cajun burger was solid, nothing special. The burger was a bit drier than in n out burger in California. 3/5
These burgers are my favorite in Seattle. I love the variety and the different flavors they offer, from Hawaiian to Southwest to Canadian (get a plate of poutine for $6). The menu makes it impossible not to come back, since there are only so many burgers one can eat at once. At Mr Lu's, that number is definitely one. They don't mess around with the size of the burgers. Each one is a beautiful, delicious, saucy creation that leaves you feeling like you just ate a big juicy burger. I would also recommend the waffle fries.
The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was outrageously good. Wow! I will go back when I'm in the area again. I went with 3 other people and they said the same thing about their food. I had a burger. My friends had the salmon, and the other had a BBQ burger. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Thanks

The food here is actually so good. Tried fish and chips and the burgers. It's tucked away and small but so worth a visit. It is a little pricier but the quality of ingredients are great and size of food is pretty generous. The people there are also very nice and they sell Jarritos. If you looking to treat yourself come here for sure.

Highly recommend this hole in the wall restaurant. Food was outstanding, must try their famous burger, and super friendly staff. I kept coming back for the burger. Hands down one of the best burgers I had in the city. Prices are very reasonable too. It's a rare find.

We stopped by on our way to the farmers market and had a great meal. The burgers were delicious, and the fries and onion rings were hot and tasty. The menu was extensive and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend Mr Lu's for anyone looking for an authentic burger experience in the U-District!

Absolutely scrumptious! Their blackened salmon burger was the best I had ever eaten. The salmon was beautifully moist and seasoned perfectly. The fries were also the right amount of crispy on the outside and soft fluffy interior. I will certainly be back for more.

The fries are some of the most addictive ones I've had. The burgers are amazing too and the patties taste like real good meat, but the fries are definitely the ones that have me hooked. Honestly, if you're in the U District looking for a good burger, this place has the best burgers I've ever tried on the Ave. I would recommend. 100%.
Pleasant overall experience. Burger was juicy and cooked to order. Got the jalepeño burger which was a nice balance of heat and savory. The Phoenix fries were heavy and a lot of food but good. Nothing fancy, but if you're looking for a quick meal and a good mix of burgers, chicken, and seafood, this is a good spot.
Fantastic place to get a well-crafted, reasonably priced burger and more. The poutine was equally delicious, full of flavors and perfectly crisp. And all hand-delivered by Mr. Lu. Great experience!

Really fresh piping hot and tasty. We had Fish and Chips and catfish sandwich. It has thevasian diner vibe with the nondescript TV and Music. Best fried fish in our neighborhood.

We went there cause we thought it was going to be a great experience but we get dry hard buns for our burger, which was burnt fish n chips needs some work they tasted awful you think for the $56 it would of been worth the bite but I guess looks are really deceiving. Save your money and find a better place.
Crispy chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had, and the chocolate milk shake was amazing (even though they were out of the peanut butter and chocolate that I really wanted). Clean and friendly, and close to home. I'll definitely be back again to try more of their burgers, and maybe the seafood too.
AWESOME!!! I went and had a craving for sweet potato fries, and went ahead and had a blue babes burger with an Oreo shake as well. FAST, NICE and DE-LICIOUS. The restaurant was mostly empty at 7pm, so I dined inside. I’ll never go to jack in the box if I can help it, this spot is so cozy …
Amazing food honestly they should increase their prices because of how good their food is

'Poutin' (sic) does NOT have bacon nor onions and if it ever does, it is proper to to tell the customer..the ' gravy has little or no taste. I can't eat bacon for cultural and health reasons. I will say the place is clean and the workers r friendly.
Not only is the food great here, but the customer service is excellence. I once went in and requested to add avocado to my burger and the cashier explained they were out. I knew the burger would be delicious without from my previous visits.
Well.... Great atmosphere and music. Staff was nice. However, my blackened chicken sandwich had some major issues. It was an overly seasoned overly hot/spicy mess. Far too much sauce, under cooked onions, and I had to ask for a tomato and
Lots of great burger choices, and great deals on fish n chips, including delicious shrimp and oysters n chips. A Must-Try is the spicy blackened cajun salmon, it was shockingly good! Their house cajun sauce puts this over the top! Also
Excellent burgers - juicy meat, fresh veggies, nice bun. Both the blue cheese Especially good value in U district and made fresh to order. I’m less of a fry guy but the person I was with said they were really good and also made fresh.
Probably the best salmon burgers in Seattle and my one of the few 5 star ratings! Its not easy to find a good place for salmon varieties but I was lucky enough to have this place near to my bnb.
It's a busy diner atmosphere with good food. You should call ahead to have your name added to their wait list, especially on the weekend.

Beware that they share oil between fish and chicken. As someone with a severe fish allergy, this was very dangerous for me. It’s too bad because I used to LOVE their fried chicken sandwich.
The fries are VERY good and the burgers are big and nice

First impression, this is not a place I would have tried. Seems a little sketchy and you're never quite sure about a place that does burgers and seafood.
This place was filthy, dining table was greasy and sticky. There were quite a few flies when I was there. My food was too salty and didn’t taste good More
Got the Bacon cheeseburger, what they don't tell is... Pros: 2 different cheese Fresh lettuce Fresh tomato Fresh grilled onions Con: lots of grease.
Our first time and we were very pleased with our Seafood Combo. Perfect size and my husband is a big guy so portions are a must!. Thank you!. More
One of my favorite places to grab a quick and inexpensive burger in Udistrict. I find myself craving the Phoenix fries quite a bit. More
Ordered a bbq burger and french fries. Both are tasty and the fries are crispy. Giving 4 stars because i think the burger's overpriced..
Staff is friendly and a good variety of burger and seafood dishes. Fries were crispy and delicious. Took it to go.
Burger was good. Tasty and didn't fall apart too bad.
