I had an unexpected but lovely stay at the MyCrib Hostel in Midtown Houston last night. My 6:45pm bus to Austin was cancelled at short notice. I was considering taking a 2:00am replacement bus that the bus company offered, but was delighted with my choice to go for a good night's sleep in the very comfortable MyCrib Hostel itself. The hostel is only open a few weeks, and is conveniently located close to the Greyhound and Flixbus bus stations/stops, and also has convenient local public transport links to Downtown and elsewhere in Houston. It's in Midtown, a quieter residential neighbourhood close to the community college, with nice restaurants and bars. It's not too far from the Museum District and the leafy Hermann Park either - these are very easy to get to by tram, for $1.25. I was warmly greeted by Harold, the hostel's owner. We had a good chat and he showed me around the homely but high-tech property. There's a smart fridge - very cool - and free tea/coffee/breakfasts for guests. The room I stayed in had 3 bunk beds, but all of these were double beds in size. There was also a spacious bathroom with a good shower. I'd certainly recommend this place if you're looking for clean and comfortable accommodation close to Downtown Houston. The price was great value too, and the host was friendly and welcoming.

I had experience a great stay at MyCrib Houston! It is highly recommended! The place was very cozy. From spacious lounge area, big comfortable bed, soft pillows and fresh linens, you wouldn’t feel away from your home! Coffee & tea were also available and free whenever you look for a hot drink.Clean kitchen and dinners are available if you feel like cooking for you and your friends.

This is great place especially if you have event to attend at the Toyota Center. The area is walkable to Toyota Center and other museums.

Un endroit moderne à l’équipement incroyable et propre, géré par un couple adorable qui n’aspire qu’à accueillir du mieux qu’ils peuvent leur invités ! J’ai cru à une arnaque au début vu le prix et le manque de commentaires, mais c’est juste qu’ils ont ouverts il y a moins d’un mois, du coup je leur souhaite de la visibilité et qu’ils puissent continuer comme ça !

Hostel is located in a very new and beautiful townhouse in a residential area in an up an coming part of town. Exceptionally clean and nicely equipped. I enjoyed my approx 40 min walk to the museum district but local transport is probably available. I walked to down town also--an easy and enjoyable walk. I met fellow travelers at the hostel, it is a very homey place, but if you want your own space that is also easy to have.

Szanowni Państwo, Jestem naprawę pod wielkim wrażeniem po przybyciu do Hostelu MyCriby w Houston. Wszystkie pokoje, łazienki, kuchnia są po gruntownym remoncie. Wszystko jest bardzo czyste, pachnące. Kuchnia jest wyposarzona we wszystkie urządzenia potrzebne do gotowania. Właściciele Hostelu są bardzo mili pomocni we wszystkim. Właściciel sam zaproponował że zawiezie mne swoim samochodem na zakupy do sklepu. Bardzo ważne jest też że Hostel znajduje się w bezpiecznej okolicy, jest blisko do centrum, dworca autobusowego.

Highly recommend this place. I stayed for 3 nights. Cathy the host was great! She communicated clearly and checked in to make sure everything was ok. Check in was smooth. The hostel was clean and very welcoming. It’s a 15 minute walk from the Greyhound station. The double bed was comfy and it felt very safe with a lock required to enter the room as well as good size locker. If I was coming back to Houston, it would be the first place I look up. Thank you

I had a lovely stay at this hostel! The rooms and common areas were very clean, the beds are large and comfortable, and the owners are open, warm and kind people. Whenever I had a question, they would immediately reply or come to the rescue. The hostel is situated in a nice and calm neighbourhood with street-art to explore around every corner and some really nice beergardens, where you can enjoy some drinks, live music or a local crafts market in a cozy atmosphere.

I was delighted during my stay in MYCRIB hostel. How the place is spacious and warm. The cleanliness was incomparable to many places I have stayed at. The owners Harold and Cathy were so welcoming and they extremely friendly. You would enjoy some freebies there as well.

Fabulous house, room and bathroom were clean. My co-workers and I rented the Luxury Quadruple Room to crash in after our Work Christmas gathering. Location is super convenient, we only had to take a 5 minute Uber ride to Midtown. Cathy was quick to respond to any questions and made us feel right at home! We will definitely stay again if in the area.

I love this Hostel.the bed sheets annd the towels are super cozy. The surroundings are clean, and it gives a very serene homey feel. They provided some free snacks, coffee/tea. Very hospitable. 10/10.
