Their baked products are amazing and out of this world 5 Stars actually. I am originally from the area but nowadays mostly live in Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal. But whenever I am in town Nonos is always my first stop & prices are very reasonable. Everything I buy there is heavenly. However I must give 1 star for the very poor customer service. Most of the staff especially the cashier in particular are always extremely moody & angry when I visit the shop. It gives off a very depressing & negative atmosphere. If the cashier is having a bad day or in a mood she should leave her problems at home & not take it out on customers that supports Nonos regularly. If this can addressed it will be a much more pleasurable experience. 20 October 2023 I was at Nonos again this weekend. The baked items and treats are always fantastic as usual But omw there is huge inprovement. The grumpy and mood cashier bthat was there previously was not there not sure if she was off But I must say the staff that I encountered are much much friendlier compared to my last experience. And that's the thing coming to Nonos should always be a joyful festive experience . HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!!

I haven't had much from this bakery, however I can rate on what I had. 1. Slap chips is nice but not consistent, I ordered 2 batches, one was nice and the other had that crispy brown look and taste. Nevertheless it was edible 2. Rolls are devine!!!! 3. Lamington cake, light and fluffy, not moist, edible 4. Red cake without cream, extremely dry! 5. Black forest cake, light & fluffy but not moist, edible There was 1 thing that stood out which wasn't pleasant was the fact that they don't have merchant services. I dont stay in the area so I had to go hunt an ATM Would I buy again from their store, yes I would. Would like to try the swissroll, that looked moist and apparently they well known for their chealse buns which I will try at my next visit.

I can't believe that this Bakery is still here.. My Dad brought us for fresh rolls for the past 4 decades. So while on holiday in Jhb I said to my Dad lets get Nonos rolls in Claremont Jhb.. Google Maps got us there n the rolls could easily have melted in my mouth. Twas just as fresh n delicious as I remembered it.. The only thing is when u in Jhb its always Be alert n always be suspicious of anyone walking toward ur car.. Don't be paranoid n scared.. Just be careful and streetwise. Drive there.. Park.. Get out quick .. Order.. Pay n leave.. With ur windows rolled up.. Lol. This is not to scare u not to go to this place.. But just a note on Jhb itself. Be careful all the time..

This is a unique bakery going for decades. However, here are a few suggestions. Please sell your rolls loose. One does not always want to buy six at a time. Perhaps just one or two to go with the chips. Also there's an old age home right behind nonos with very poor elderly folks. Consider donating one load of bread..once a week for these people. There's only 12 units, so only 12 loafs of bread. Will be an admirable action to help the poor in the area. Thanks for all the nice goodies.

When they say fresh cream, then it is fresh cream. My friend and i had to devour the cream donuts before we exited the parking. Greedy did not want to share. I think this bakery is in operation for more than 40years and I believe the Mom was a great supporter of the community and so are her kids and grandkids. What a legacy to leave behind. Awesome bakery (may not be in the best area, but they have been there for more than 30 years) - friendly staff, quality rolls, chelsea buns, marvelous pastries and lastly but not least at all - their prices are so good and affordable. Excample, 1.5 doz hot dog rolls, 6 round rolls, 2 chelsea buns, R59.00. Decide for yourself - I would recommend this Bakery to anyone.

This little diamond tucked away is amazing, their freshly baked good especially their bread rolls and hot dog rolls are to-die-for. I have actually walked from Florid to their store just for their bread rolls. They are mouth wateringly soft and tasty, honestly the BEST I have EVER had. I ALWAYS recommend them to family and friends.

Excellent service. The russian and chips are awesome and so are the bakery products. Fresh rolls every time that we were there. Even the biscuits and cakes are delicious. Don't waste time. Go and try this phenominal place, "NONOS Bakery & Take Away", out. You will keep on going back. Well I do although I travel 20km to get there.

This is genuinely your typical local bakery. I would say they have the beat rolls, they always soft and fresh, as people buy a lot of rolls there. Not big variety of other baked goods. Personally I'm not a fan of their food however their chips are amazing and filling. Definitely a thumbs up if you want chips with rolls.

I bought a chocolate Swiss roll yesterday and I was beyond disappointed when I got home. Usually the filling is creamy and delicious but yesterday It was flat and pure sugar it was just terrible. I hope this never happens again because I really love their food and cakes

Nothing amazing..They forever out of goodies late afternoon. Their rolls are nice and soft. Their other bakings are nice but almost always out of stock come 1pm 3pm. Services and space can be improved as they have been here for many years and are very popular.

I have had the jam doughnuts, snowballs, chips, russian and black forest cake so far. All to die for. Proper slap chips the old fashioned way, which is near impossible to find. I drive there specially from the other side of town for the chips.

There fish is good... Bit expensive compared to surrounding fish shops. The chip portions has decreased a great deal. Eg the R25 box they display may has half or thread quarter box filled... Box not filled Bread rolls always fresh always good

Honestly, sometimes there is a bit of a waiting period in the queue but its worth the wait. NoNos is a pioneer in freshness, they will leave you in disbelief with the freshest and tastiest rolls, compared to the likes of Spar and Shoprite.

Nonos has always been a bakery with fresh baked bread rolls and a veriaty of cakes. One thing that was not so cool you could not swipe your card but now they up with the times and we can swipe.

I had great service was short of a R2 and owner was kind enough to give me and not pay later. I just think they should use swipe facility for payment. Can be embarrassing to shuffle for cash.

I have no idea why we love the bread rolls here, which could really be about 80% air, but hey we just keep going back. If you want a bread roll with sustenance rather go to a bigger bakkery.
