Dr. Baik was very articulate and did not push any extra services. He did not tell me about imaginary cavities I don't have nor did he dramatize the state of my teeth. I really appreciate that. I have been to practices where you would think they just discovered an oil field with all the holes they want to drill in your mouth. He charges a little more than the cheapest prices I've been quoted when shopping around, but he did the cleaning himself (rather than a hygenist) and by hand. Cleaning and cavity filling was painless, a testament to his skill. So, I am quite happy and am planning to return for my followups. I really value dentists that are skilled and don't want to push you into procedures you don't need, so if that is you as well I would very much recommend Dr. Baik. As an aside, it's Sept 2020 and they've moved from Yonge/Shep to Finch/Dufferin permanently so factor that in in case location is important to you.

I recently brought my teenager son to Dr John Baik to have 4 teeth extracted as part of his orthodonctic treatment. He was nervous because he never had a tooth extraction before. Dr. Baik was very gentle, professional and did a very good job: my son recovered very fast and was able to eat normally within days. I am always impressed with the gentleness and utmost care that Dr. Baik demonstrate whether it is tooth extraction (he removed my own wisdom teeths) or dental cleaning or a filling or even the way he inserts the needle to freeze my gums as I am very, very nervous of needles. I can't speak well enough of my dentist: he is NOT like those aggressive dentists who have put pressure on me to have treatments such as teeth whitening or having a dental crown right away.

I've been going to Dr. Baik for years now, after seeing a string of other dentists around town. The amazing difference with Dr. Baik is that he actually assesses and cleans your teeth himself, i.e. does not employ a hygienist to do so and then see you for 2 seconds before you go like most other dentists. As a result it is always a consistently thorough and gentle process. He takes his time and likes to chat too, which I love! His assistant Vanja is also wonderful, as friendly as she is professional. Couldn't recommend them more highly!

My client actually referred me to Dr. Baik and I thank him for that. When Dr. Baik consults with You there is a sense of high level professionalism (He has an engineering degree also) and his skills are immediately felt. My Two previous dentists were nice, but I could really tell the difference in the work. Had to go back 3 times for the same issue with the previous dentist. Ive had the same dentist for 30 years so I was very nervous about having to find a new one. I met Dr Baik this morning and the experience was fantastic. They tried to scam me. I was charged $900 for 2 tooth filings and he told me I needed another 10. I went to another dentist and they said I don't need other filings. And it should only cost $300 for the two fillings. He tried cleaning me out because my insurance would cover it
