I witnessed a cat hit by a car in front of Fire Station 20 this morning. I stopped inside to ask one of the Fireman to see if they could move the cat out of the road because cars were swerving to not hit the cat again. I am disappointed by the "lecture" I received that "cars don't stop for them". Basically, his response was "no, sorry". I hope out of kindness, he had a change of heart. Its probably not their legal responsibility, but it should be a civil responsibility.

Our Boy Scout troop visited this station today. The gentlemen there were extremely nice. They took time with the boys to explain the trucks and their cool features. They helped teach the boys about safety around fires and at home. Thank you men of fire station 20 for your time today!

Visiting Nashville from Southwest KS where I am a volunteer FF and they where incredibly nice and welcoming when I dropped by.
