The Altadore location has a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere! I often come here to do work over lunch and coffee. TBH, it feels like I'm on vacation with all the natural light and lush plants in the atrium. It's true! Come see for yourself - but be aware there is limited seating inside. Luckily they have a gorgeous little patio outside, canopied by trees to accommodate overflow for the warmer months. The coffee/drinks are consistent and delicious. I will say that Neighbour's food is their strong point! My favourites right now are, the Avo toast, Avo Sesame Bowl & Tandoori Chicken Salad. It's next level guys! My weakness though? The soft serve! I was addicted to their mango tajin...flavours change frequently though so try feature soft serve while you can! UHG.... I'm basically begging this place to take my money. LOL I have yet to be disappointed with my experience here.

Hands down THE BEST gluten-free baking in the city! They have got their recipes down to perfection. The texture, the flavour, the moisture levels - it is unmatched in the city and definitely worth the price. My GF favourites, in no particular order: 1. The Morning Glory Muffin 2. Banana Loaf 3. Pumpkin Loaf (seasonal - but a top fav!) 4. Pistachio Lemon Cookies

I frequent here often when I visit Calgary (2-3 times a trip) because the breakfast sandwich is to die for!!! Coffee is okay.. often sour but that seems to be the trend these days. However I find the customer service is hit or miss. This latest visit was the worst yet, I got a regular brewed coffee and when I went to put cream in a whole bunch of water from the carafe spilled into my coffee. When I asked the woman for a new one she started rolling her eyes at her colleague and her colleague did the same. It felt really awful after the amount of money I spend here. I took the lid off of the carafe and even more water poured out all over the cream station. It didn’t feel unreasonable to me that we asked for a new coffee! This place would be a ten out of ten if their customer service was more consistent.

Super sunny and cozy cafe, with a huge variety for the menu. It’s definitely priced quite well and their coffee is bold and strong. I wouldn’t recommend getting what I ordered this time around though. The ricotta toast felt quite unbalanced- way too much ricotta. But maybe that’s a personal preference? It looked pretty but I don’t think it came together as a dish. I also tried their yyc hot chocolate fest submission: campfire hot chocolate. Order without salt!!!!! It was way too overpowering and I got a mouthful of just salt. Definitely not a good experience. Also, the chocolate wasn’t well incorporated, had some chunks. Lastly, it seems like they added graham cracker crumbs, if you’re somebody who hates that ‘cookie fell in my drink and is now lumpy dough at the bottom of my cup’ vibe, you won’t like this. But I will say that they nailed the smoky component. Campfire memories unlocked.

I loveee neighbour <3! I like to bring friends here for hangs because the menu is diverse and the space is so light and lovely. It’s a great spot just to read or get work done, too. In the summer, their little patio is my fave, quietly tucked beside the building in this residential area away from the bustle of the beltline. Their tostadas are incredible (I think about them all the time) and the ricotta toast is *chefs kiss*. I’ve recently discovered their tandoori chicken salad sandwich and now I’m also obsessed with that. Choosing something from their menu is hard. Go with friends, order everything, be happy. Cheers.

I’m sorry to have to leave this 1 star review but please, check your order before you leave! This was a takeout order with a 15-20 min drive (each way). I ordered the avocado toast which is supposed to have an egg but it wasn’t added. I ordered 2 of the new cookie butter oat lattes. They had zero flavouring added, it was a basic oat latte. 2 other drinks and bowl were ordered and were fine. I called to let them know of the mistakes and got a token “sorry about that”. Now, they would have corrected the order if I drove back, but after paying $52 I didn’t want to waste the time or money to drive back. I really just want them to take more care in preparing their customers’ orders.

My family and I were on vacation in Calgary and we went to Neighbour Coffee almost every morning- the staff were all so friendly and accommodating (we had our 2 year old with us) and we loved the food. There were options for everyone, and the honey lattes were delicious. Thank you for making our mornings great while we were on vacation!

We were able to order sides for our 2 year old to eat (sliced avocado, fried egg, toast, etc.)

Lattes were delicious. Staff were friendly. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. Didn't love that they charge a whole $1 for milk alternatives (only oat and coconut milk are available, no almond or soy). I went with my laptop to do some work and there was only really 1 plug I could use but I didn't want to trip people with my cord so I just ran out my battery and then left. Otherwise, would definitely come back with friends for a coffee date (not to work) because the drinks really were delicious.

Woah, guys. So happy I discovered this place :) I had a mocha with a cookie and it was such good vibes honestly. All tasty stuff and can’t see why you wouldn’t come here unless you were blind and couldn’t see it LOL! I like that there’s people from outside or Calgary (maybe scotch?) who work there because you feel otherworldly. Cool! Anyway I think you should come here for the tasty bites and drinks and all time great vibes hehe

If I could give it more stars, I would! Amazing staff. Can't wait for the additional outdoor seating in the summer. The Breakfast Tostada is unbelievably good for the price. Also the best chai latte!! Favorite stop in the neighborhood.

Lovely atmosphere teamed up with lovely people. I wish I knew about this place a lot sooner as it is my new and current coffee and snack spot. While the food portions aren't made to fill a varatious eater, they are quite flavourful and make for a great snack or light meal. All of the employees are very sweet and even though masks cover their faces, they continue to smile with their eyes; creating a welcoming and happy atmosphere to endulge in a rich cup of brew.

This is a splendid spot! Plants and natural light dominate the cozy, relaxed cafe inside, and a small patio outside beside the solarium area, completes the space. Whether you want to work, talk, or contemplate the day, visit here, as a comfortable and tranquil ambiance awaits. The varied menu is delicious - I ordered a smoothie to go, and it was excellent. Service was quick, friendly and accurate.

This is by far my favourite cafe in calgary. The atmosphere in both mardaloop and inglewood are great. Small places. But it is THE BEST avocado toast I’ve ever had in my entire life and so far all the other food I’ve had is good. Service is good and quick. My favourite

Good place to stop for coffee if you’re in the area or at the nearby park. Limited seating but that’s never been an issue when I’ve gone there. Drinks were very tasty and the place had good aesthetics (great for photos). Only complaint would be that staff can come off a little rude but the last time I went it seemed to have gotten a lot better. Look forward to returning in the future! (Iced Americano was very refreshing on a 27 degree day).

  • Nadia Vink

Wow, wow wow!!! I love neighbour coffee, I not only love that ice chai latte, but I love the warm and welcoming staff that always greet you with a smile! The atmosphere is amazing, food is scrumptious, and the coffee is to die for! Walking into that coffee shop was the most notable day of my life.

I like the food at this place, however, I’ve been here on 3 separate occasions at 8:15. They open at 8 and sometimes barely have coffees rolling and don’t have their kitchen ready. Seems like they show up to their 8 shift at 8. If you’re open at 8 serving breakfast I would hope you would serve food, otherwise why even open? Very disappointed

I actually like the espresso based drinks and food here. However, the service is terrible and makes me dread going in. In addition the glacial pace at which the staff move to do or make anything, after of course a 10 minute conversation over the till with each other they act as though you coming in is a huge inconvenience. Happy to go to any of the competing spots in Marda.

Cute little coffee shop but seems understaffed and in the occasions i’ve been there no manager has ever been present to listen to customers. Staff are friendly and accommodating but seem unmanaged as it feels like i’m in a chicken coop full of headless chickens. Nice shop, needs some changes.

Came in for a coffee on my daily walk to therapy. Honestly, I feel like I got more in the last month than I have in the year with my therapist. The workers really listen when I talk about my ex and it makes me feel heard. Coming here is a real sense of community and I appreciate it. Thanks guys for the support. Best. Coffee. Shop. Ever.

The best coffee shop in Marda Loop! The Avo Toast is incredible and the coffee is some of the best around, rich, bold and strong. The south facing benches on the side are a perfect spot to catch some sun and sip your coffee. The decor inside is totally on trend, love the hexagon tiles combined with the wood. Staff are very friendly. Very impressed.

This is such a cute coffee shop! The inside is so sunny and cozy. My bf and I tried the Turkey Pesto and the Pear Brie sandwiches and omg they were SO GOOD. A little bit pricey given the portion, but definitely 10/5 for flavor. I would definitely come back.

Bad neighbor coffee. The girl was rude to me when made a simple inquiry about their product offering... She was very short tempered, and very curt... Just another millennial Tik tok-er who thinks the world owes her something. Must be new to the world of working for a living.
