We had such a horrible and racist experience with my Asian origin friends. They went to the restaurant before we arrived with my husband and they faced horribly cocky, grumpy and disrespectful attitude from this elderly waiter. The waiter even violently crapped my friend's back bag cause "it was in the wrong place", and placed it in the chair next to her. Instead of asking her to move the bag, the waiter decided to do it himself, which for me is very rude. They were struggling even to order drinks (to have a toast when we would arrive within less than 10 minutes) cause "this is not place for drinking" and the waiter kept on misunderstanding them. They tried to explain they are expecting 2 more people to arrive just in few minutes, and would like to have a classes of sparkling ready when we come. Miraculously the waiter's attitude changed immediately when we arrived with my husband, and we started to have fantastic service. The same troubling attitude kept following when the food was brought by this other elderly waiter with big mustaches, and my friend didn't notice to pick up her napkin from the table, so that waiter could put the plate on it. He snapped very rudely in Italian, and kept continuing in Italia, even tho my friend doesn't understand and she froze, cause the waiter was being very snappy and rude (I would have froze too, he was very scary). He kept on having this horrible attitude till my husband noted him (in Italian) that he should speak English if he wants to be understood, and the waiter responded very rudely. The gran finale was when we went together inside the restaurant (we sat outdoors in the patio) to pay and my husband told how the attitude and customer service towards us and our friends was disrespectful. There were the two elderly waiters and a hostess who all started defending and yelling. The lady kept on saying my husband should talk to her and not to the waiters, even tho she had the same rude, cocky attitude as the waiters had. They had a argument for approximately 30sec or so, and when we left from the door the napkin-scene waiter called my husband stupid/idiot in Italian (Stronza). Overall VERY racist attitude towards my friends, I hope no one will face that kind of attitude, but I'm afraid they learned nothing from the feedback. Food: My friend ordered shrimps, which were not cleaned and had the rectum still attached. They were whole shrimps, but the shell from the tail was removed, so they could have cleaned them. My food was supposed to be Ceasar salad, but it was plane salad, parmigiano and plane mayonese with grilled, partly burned chicken and same bread that was served as a starter (as crutongs). But apparently the risotto frutti di mare was good. Will never ever walk even near by that place again.

The worst service I've ever experienced (and I never leave reviews if the place wasn't good). The staff literally treated us like a walking ATM - as soon as we were done with the meal (which was very average) they want us out of the seats as soon as possible - and they let us know that by "accidentally" kicking our chairs and elbowing us when they walked past. You'd think it was an accident, it it wasn't repeated again and again with no appologies offered even when confronted about it. Don't know about you, but I don't like to feel like a walking tourist money bag - the staff made no eye (or human) connection with you while taking the order, which was almost immediately forgotten; the waiter seemed to be angry that I didn't know they don't add wheat flour into one of the dishes ( I have an allergy so I asked); and the whole physical harassment thing upon leaving was a bit extreme. It was too clear that the place doesn't care about the welcoming environment or attentive service or you coming back - they would have another unsuspecting "tourist" (one of us was actually Italian and appalled by what was going on) the next day to take the money off of. Don't spend your money here - take it somewhere where the food is actually nice and worth the money you pay, or at least where they have the staff that are willing to take your money AND be nice. Esperienza pessima per il servizio e la maleducazione da parte del proprietario e della signora alla cassa. In un tavolo da 7 con la maggior parte del gruppo stranieri, nonostante il cibo fosse abbastanza buono, hanno pensato bene di non permetterci di pagare in conti separati. Tutto rispetto per i ristoratori che quando devono dividere un conto per 7 potrebbe essere un problema, e sono la prima a trovare generalmente una soluzione. Ma come al solito le cose dette con maleducazione, arroganza e strafottenza di fronte ad un gruppo di turisti cercando di imporre le proprie idee è triste e mi fa vergognare di averli portati in un ristorante del genere. Prima si sono giustificati che non potevano fare i conti separati perché avevano avuto problemi con la finanza che alcuni conti non quadravano. Poi che erano impossibilitati da qualche altra forza maggiore per poi concludere la serata, dopo varie insistenze e urla con il pagamento diviso in 7 , insulti da parte del proprietario in strada urlandomi dalla porta e la cassiera scocciata e arrogante durante i pagamenti. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO e sono stata fin troppo educata nella mia recensione.

Il cameriere mezzo pelato e mezzo con capelli bianchi che cerca di portare dentro il ristorante la gente che cammina per strada, è un povero menomato mentale. Non capisce l’educazione di base, sorrisi di circostanza e falsi solo per imbarcare dentro il ristorante gente. Prima trova la sedia per mia moglie e il seggiolino per la bimba di due anni, poi quando mia moglie si alza per inseguire la bimba gliela toglie senza neanche chiedere il permesso per fare accomodare altre due clienti. Queste, dopo aver capito la situazione, chiedono di essere spostate su un altro tavolo e il menomato mentale NON LA RIMETTE NEANCHE A POSTO nè si sogna di chiedere minimamente scusa. NON CAPISCE. Da licenziarlo in tronco, chiuderlo a chiave casa e buttare via la chiave. Questo è un ristorante in cui i clienti sono carne da macello, da buttare dentro, servire, pagare e via subito, sotto un altro. Titolare e moglie attenti solo a fare girare ad un ritmo impossibile clienti e camerieri per incassare il più possibile. Cibo sotto la media e prezzi alti. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO. Non ci torno più.

Pranzo per due persone. Ordiniamo due piatti: tagliatelle alla bolognese, rimandate indietro per la presenza di un fagiolo (visibile in foto); spada alla livornese, mandato indietro perché crudo. La cameriera si scusa e mi chiede se voglio altro in sostituzione: chiedo un salmone al vapore con verdure, che non mangio perché crudo (nella foto). La stessa cameriera si scusa molto e dice che il pranzo sarà offerto. A fine pranzo andiamo alla cassa per pagare vino e acqua, secondo noi è giusto così, ma il proprietario, dopo aver visto che avevamo rimandato indietro i vari piatti, sbatte con forza il cassetto della cassa, alza violentemente il ripiano di legno separatorio della cassa stessa e scende verso di noi, mandandoci via intimando di non tornare mai più, offendendoci e urlando male parole, con i vari clienti testimoni dell’accaduto. La stessa cameriera si scusa per la maleducazione del Proprietario. Racconto fatti obiettivi, non parafrasandoli nè esagerandoli. Non ho mai visto un proprietario offendere gratuitamente i propri clienti, urlando contro di essi senza motivo. Inoltre i bagni sono molto sporchi.

Really good food. My first meal in Milan and I'd asked the hotel where to go, he said to walk to the Brera district and I'd find something good. Looking at a few menus, I wandered around the streets. A couple of waiters called "Konichiwa!" at me (not Japanese but appreciate the effort). Finally I rounded a corner and there was a couple eating what I was looking for, Osso Buco with risotto, it looked so good. The greeter came over as I was looking for it on the menu and then guided me to a table. I ordered that and a beer and sat back to wait. Once it did arrive, it looked fantastic, not a small portion and the amount of meat was impressive (a large bone in the middle, but just meant marrow!). Eaten with gusto and washed down with a cold Peroni. The total came to €30 including €2 service (I think, I left a few Euro extra on top as they had been good to me). Then off to end the evening, swatting at the mosquitoes. Why did no one mention the mosquitoes before I headed to Milan?

We were there in January 2023. We just wanted to drink someting, I ordered one beer, my girlfriend ordered glass of wine. When waiter came to our table to ask for order, we said that we dont want to eat anything. he step out and went to the manager, they were generaly really suprised that we wont to eat anything, and they suggested between themselves we should leave the restaurant immediately. They didnt said to Us that we should leave this place, but when we saw that situation, we just have finished our drinks, and we left. We will never come back to this place again and also we would never recommend it to anyone. By the way, when i saw pictures of pizza served in this restaurant, i was really happy that i didnt ordered anything. Its shame this situation had a place in such a beautiful location, and we were treated like this.

A disaster in an over rated place. After a fine walk through Milan's Bohemian market, my wife and I decided to stop by at this place for some refreshments. Their name had "Cafe" in it so what is wrong in having a cappuccino and tea with some dessert. The grim look on the saddest waiter in Milan should have given us some clue as to why we should NOT have ventured here. The guy took our order and then realized that we were not planning to have dinner. Well why would we - it was 4:00 PM in the afternoon. The rudest retard took back our menu cards and denied us the service unless we order something to eat. So much for Milano hospitality. There are much better and hospitable restaurants throughout the city. If you are in this specif area, please avoid this place. I am pretty sure that food is as bad as their service.

The atmosphere looked nice but it was a big mistake to come here. The waiter was unfriendly and smashed the drinks without any smile on the table. The white bread was old and hard. The food came by far to fast with the result the steak was completely raw. We gave it back and a few minutes later it came back very chewy because was too much fried. The side dishes were of not good taste. The 2nd dish with prawns we also had to return. Morover price was with 25€ too much and too small. The pizza was eatable, but far away from a good Italian pizza. When we informed the boss about the inferior quality he shouted loud and insulted us. I never experienced such a shabby behavior with a customer. Unbelievable!! It is the worst experience I ever made in a restaurant.

We were walking home after a long day and just wanted to stop in somewhere for a decent meal. As soon as we looked at the place the host was ready to sit us... Which tells me it seemed like a tourist trap, but we were tired so we didn't care. There was nothing memorable about the meal. I only got 3 ravioli ... and for the price... it was disappointing. As far as pricing goes, they are priced like they are in the duomo area, which they aren't. So if you are wanting to spend 50+ euro you may as well go to the city center so you have a view. Pros: waitstaff was nice, quick service, good house wine Cons: price vs taste/portion, food wasn't very tasty overall 5/10, and you can get pressured to eat here

Trovato per caso, l’unico con del posto, forse avremmo dovuto chiederci perché. Cibo niente di che, 3/5. Servizio scadente, un cameriere dai capelli bianchi molto scortese, addirittura levato il piatto prima di terminare!! Scandaloso, ma ora il pezzo forte, sentito benissimo dire “dagli una naturale e una frizzante a sti pezzenti”, lascio a voi le conclusioni, 1/5. Location, esterno molto carino, interni anche, MA, il bagno per dio, forse è così dagli anni 70 e viene visto come reperto archeologico, mah. E comunque l’asciugatore per mani non dovrebbe stare sopra la spina della corrente, NON È A NORMA! Consigliato in caso di estrema necessità.

One of the best in Brera district. Two times in two days and never disappointed - even when I was forgotten for the main course;) the staff turned such a mistake into a brilliant spectacular play of jokes and laughs so you cannot get angry with that. Ragazzi manage to handle even full house at 3 pm on Sunday. Bravi! As for the food it’s pretty well cooked - simple but tasty. Calamari aglio e olio are soft and lightly spicy. Pasta gamberi e zucchini is al dente and a bit sweet. Pizza diabola is what it should be in classic way. Selection of wine can even please a pro - btw prices are not that low, but there’s a few titles commonly used so you won’t get thirsty;)

Went to Milan on a short break. Nice city but the food was terrible!! I had everything from cold pastas, and overcooked pizzas cooked in dirty pizza ovens to cold coffee. I was about to give up on getting a good meal in Milan until I stumbled upon this gem... Café art!! Quite little place on a side street where a host managed to convince me to have a meal and I'm so glad he did! I had slow roasted lamb Henry with risotto milanaise... Lamb cooked to perfection risotto was al dente seasoned perfectly it's a great place, looks a bit outdated but it's worth a visit. Shout out to the chef for making such a simple meal so great!

Tourist trap!! We came here for lunch. There was complete chaos among the staff. We waited a long time for sub-standard food. Mixed vegetables that resembled a bagged salad mix that can be bought in a supermarket, with a roast turkey that resembled cold cuts, with a salted gravy on top. Value for money is very far apart. The toilet in the ladies' room was impossible to flush. There was no toilet paper and the toilet was dirty. My worst Italian restaurant experience. They are a DISGRACE to Italian gastronomy.

Pessimo!!!! Questo ristorante in realtà non merita di essere chiamato tale. Finiti qui per caso, passeggiando una sera, bella la zona e anche l'arredamento del locale, sembrava accogliente. Chi gestisce questo locale dovrebbe rivedere la cucina, piatti brutti e per niente buoni. Cucina italiana qui non esiste, ma nemmeno quella etnica... per la fame abbiamo mangiata qualcosa, ma un piatto peggio dell'altro... vitello tonnato, risotto e misto di formaggi. Dovrebbe partecipare a cucine da incubo.

80 euro 4 pizze,il cameriere appena abbiamo finito la pizza ci ha chiesto se desideravamo altro con il tono di chi dice " abbiamo altri clienti, potreste andare via? " con due clienti dietro di lui che aspettavano il nostro tavolo. Ristorante inagibile con passeggino e bagni sporchi (abbiamo dovuto cambiare nostra figlia di un anno in braccio visto che non c'è nemmeno un piano per appoggiarsi). Personale non sempre capace ( la barista non era capace nemmeno di fare la birra alla spina, caffè acquoso e al posto di uno spritz ha servito una sprite) Se lo vedete....andate oltre!

I dont understand the negative reviews?? Ive had my fair share of tourist traps and horrible restaurants in Italy, but WOW this place was amazing...the pasta with cream, shrimps, zucchini was to die for...the cream sauce was so thick and rich and filled with the taste and smell of fresh shrimps, which were so fresh and crunchy and delicious...gorgonzola gnocchi with walnuts equally delicious...service was excellent, they are well dressed and very polite, well done to Mustafa he was very good, prices more than fair for this area, highly recommended !

In pieno centro a Milano, a pochi passi dall'Accademia di belle arti di Brera. L'ambiente è abbastanza turistico. Ha un buon numero di tavoli fuori, da sfruttare nella bella stagione. Il personale cordiale e disponibile. Menù vario. Ho assaggiato un'ottima cotoletta alla milanese. Presente anche una buona selezione di vini. Il prezzo in media con la zona e la tipologia di ristorante. L'ideale per un pranzo appena usciti dalla Pinacoteca di Brera.

Take this review to heart, our experience was bad. The service was there but no smile or friendlyness. The food was cheap but tasted bad - oily pizza (was "ok") but the risotto was OLD, multiple days old and colored deep yellow. The drinks in this place are priced higher compared to other places with higher ratings. After our meal the waiter did offer us the meal for free due to something with the risotto - yet we cannot rate this higher then 2 stars. After this we avoided restaurants with <4 star ratings. I've seen many bad reviews of this place, but I can't really understand why. The service was quick and the waiters contrary to other reviews were nice. The wine was good and the waiter brought it out in some ice, the pasta was very good, better than the pizza, although that was still pretty nice. For some reason the pasta was more expensive and the wine was kind of costly. However, overall, this was a good experience.

Something was seriously off the rails here. Waiters running around ignoring patrons, two managers who were arguing, table next to us order before we did and didnt get their meal till after we finished. They had to ask for it several times and remind the staff each time what they ordered. Biggest disappointment was the risotto alla milanese. Half cooked, chalky and inedible. Left 3/4 on the plate but they didn't once ask if the meal was ok. 1 star for the wine, 1 star for the gnocchi. Avoid this place.

The worst experience I had in whole Italy!!! We were waiting more than 45 minutes for 4 dishes of pasta! When we asked the waiter (short, old man) why it takes so long he started explaining how this is normal and if we want gluten free pasta we will wait. After we wanted to speak with the manager he started screaming in front of all other guests of the restaurant how he has clients every day and he doesnt care that we are not happy with their service!!! Awful place!

Not a fan at all, a real tourist trap. Service left much to be desired. Pizzas themselves were greasy and reminded me more of the American style pizza we have in the UK. The guy sitting next to me on the cramped tables had an awfully smelly seafood pasta - seemed like the fish had gone off a while back. Manager was content to smoke on the steps facing out towards the diners. Once we had finished we couldnt wait to pay and leave. Avoid, we should have known better!

We had a very nice experience. Enjoyed the food, great pizza and pasta, the serving was very prompt and the staff very helpful and attentive. After a few failed experiences in Milan, this one saved the trip…The place is very nice inside and they also have a terrace but we preferred inside. Prices are ok and we also wondered why some reviws were so unpleasant.

Came here after spending afternoon in Brera area. Despite the huge amount of customer due to Milan design week, the waiter got our order really fast and the drink and food were served nicely. TOURIST TRAP, CANT RECOMMEND!!!! I would give 0 stars if possible. We were also lured in by the man standing in front of the restaurant. We had to ask twice if we could order, it took 1 hour until we could. They served the drinks after 10min or something, The we waited fot another hour and never got our order. totally unacceptable. I wish I had read the reviews before going there, wasted 2 hours there for nothing.!!!

Posto abbastanza carino, personale gentile ed accogliente. Ho ordinato una pizza Margherita (al prezzo di 7€) ma mi è arrivata una pizza simile a quelle surgelate ( lo si nota dallo spessore, distribuzione di sugo e mozzarella e, soprattutto, dal sapore) quindi essa o era davvero surgelata oppure è stata fatta in un determinato modo da assomigliare moltissimo. In entrambi i casi non l'ho trovata buona, anzi.

One of the worst restaurant I have ever eaten. Every food in the super market is better than this one! When I returned food, waiter was very unfriendly and did not apologize. It was even worse, he called the boss who also shouted at us. All guests saw it and could not understand that a boss is destryoing his own reputation. But since it is nicely located, a lot of tourist stop by in this tourist trap.

We went to this restaurant on our first day in Milan, unfortunately the waitress from the first contact was disrespectful. The rest of the dinner was also unsuccessful. The dishes were not tasty. as it was our first dinner in the heart of Milan, we were counting on a place that would remain in our memory for a long time. We will definitely remember it in a wrong way. I do not recommend this place.

Food was really delicious, we had raviolli with burrata and risotto with mushrooms. Therefore for food I am giving 5 stars. Unfortunately for the toilet I have to give 0 stars, because there was no toilet seat! Really not acceptable. Overall I am giving 5 stars, cause I hope no toilet seat is just temporary problem and it will be fixed soon, and food was like I mentioned really tasty.

Over all a really good experience, food was great, service was quick, price had a good cost-quality ratio. We saw the food when we were walking in direction of the pinacotheca, it looked nice and we were surprise of the bad review whiwh we discovered after our meal.

Il signore che si occupava della cassa sembrava molto irritato perché abbiamo pagato alla romana con la carta di credito (non ho mai visto una reazione del genere in un ristorante o bar). Ha scosso la testa per tutta la durata dei pagamenti, poteva risparmiarselo. Impara il rispetto e ad essere educato con i clienti, hai 65 anni, te lo devo dire io che ne ho 40 in meno?

This restaurant was amazing. Not sure why it has only 3 stars. We had top notch service, great food and great atmosphere. When we walked in only 3 tables were full when we left every table was full. Get the Seafood Soup....you don't need anything else!!

Found on the off chance after a long day! Lovely servers, very friendly and inviting! Would definately reccommend their Seafood Linguine it was beautiful! Average price for soft drinks in Europe, but meals were well priced for what they were offering and all cocktails were €8. Cannot wait to visit Milan again as I would go back here for dinner!

The salman was not fresh and I could not eat, the boss yelled at me and followed me untill I pay and was very angry and upset when I refused to eat old and uncooked fish. He was extemely rude. I never recommend this restaurant. Despite that the bill was very high.

Cozy. I had the Carbonara which was good, although I think it was made with heavy cream. Still good nonetheless. Only thing I have to criticize is the fact that the waiter took my plate and the bread away while I was still eating it. However, they were super nice, and we got fast service.

Place looked cute but food is not great. Came out cold, unseasoned and had to wait a long time for food to come out or even get a drink. Not worth the price at all. Saw a few people actually leave without getting their food which should have been a sign. Would not recommend this place.

Delicious lunch with a cool dust spray from a ventilator and a dry rosé. The lady of the house even helped me find an elegant dress at Babele nearby. We'll revisit and definitely recommend this.

Fabolous food and very polite and profesional staff. The place is comfortable, super clean, glasses are polished. Toilet is clean. Prices are good,for 15 euros you can get pizza and drink or pasta or whatever. Pizza and sea food pasta are absolutely amazing! My big big recommendation!

There are not that many vegan options. I eat pizza ortolana, that is pizza with eggplant, zucchini and pepper, and I asked without mozzarella. The rest of the food (not vegan) was good.

Sloppy pizza, bathroom with no seat and cracked pan. Not exactly what I was expecting when the price of everything was so expensive. Looking back now that I've visited more places in Milan, I can see that the price is about average, but the restrooms leave something to be desired.

Da evitare assolutamente! Pranzo di passaggio peggiore in assoluto. Pizza surgelata cotta pochissimo e costata di manzo da menu 16 euro pagata 20...e per lo più disgustosa senza un minimo di sapore! Classico ristorante per turisti che purtroppo vi si imbattono!!!!!

Posto molto carino, cibo e prezzi nella media di Milano. Abbiamo ordinato una cotoletta alla Milanese (buona, il piatto era abbondante) e delle costolette di agnello che invece non ci sono piaciute. Il menù è vario, ci sono antipasti, primi, secondi, pizze e dolci.

Gentilezza del personale per prima cosa. Mia nipote avrebbe voluto un tortino al cioccolato, non disponibile, così una dipendente le ha offerto dei bob bon al cioccolato buonissimi. Non consiglierei per la pizza, ma i risotti e le linguine e i formaggi buonissimi.

NO PER ITALIANI. Carbonara con la panna, pizza surgelata. Gusto orribile, consistenza gommosa, sugo scarso. INSOMMA UN INSULTO ALLA CUCINA ITALIANA. Da evitare assolutamente anche perché una pizza margherita e acqua 12€. Forse meglio andare dai kebabbari.

Ravioli - not very tasty, and it’s only three of them. Home wine and aperol spritz - quite well. Staff - nice and quick. Price for ravioli is too much high.

All in all super disappointing and just another spot to serve tourists cheap food with higher prices. The noodles were overcooked and the sauces flavourless. Besides the waitress did already take the cheese and bread even though we were still eating.

Vi do una stella perché 0 non se ne possono dare. Prossima volta che mi portate la carne cruda vi accoltello e vi servo ai tavoli ma cotti a puntino cuirnuti. Patate crude nemmeno fossero dell 2010 in discoteca. Patatineeeeeeeeeeeee

Buono! Consiglio fortemente gli spaghetti alle vongole e i calamari aglio olio e peperoncino. Affettati non male e entrecote ai ferri pressoché ottimo. Prezzi inferiori rispetto ai ristoranti limitrofi e qualità buona. Da andarci!

Careful. No locals here. Quite aggressive way of getting tourists fall for the trap. Typical place that offers everything but all at below average quality. Go where locals go. Definitely not here. Pizza total disappointment.

Fantastic food, good prices, friendly staff. It's also in a really nice part of Milan, near both the Duomo and the Castle. Well worth the extra walk from the more touristic restaurants in the streets alongside the Duomo.

Nice place in Brera. Excellent service! I fully recommend!

Really average the restaurant eith small portions. For instance three ravioli cost 15 euros, the waiters don't even know english and there's no WiFi. In general its too expensive for what it has to offer

One of the waiter in this restaurant is reallz rude towards tourists. We came as a group and he gave us an attitude just bcs we made him wait a little bit before the order. I DONT reccommend this place .

Delicious Panciotti Melanzane and Soada Livornese. Bread is not free. Bathroom was not working and dirty.

Mediocre food. Funghi pizza made with canned mushrooms. Salad had a hair, waiter dealt with it appropriately and removed it from the bill. House wine decent. Otherwise do not enter.

The guy that is supposed to drag customers is friendly. The waiter has no motivation at all. He barely speaks. The food is bad, portions small, and overpriced as hell.

Very good sea bass in salt crust, the rest could be better. Think about quality, not quantity. For example, serve your customers good local bread in a clean basket...

The Brera area is cosy with great ambiance. Service and food at the New Art Ristorante was excellent.

Well decorated restaurant with good food and nice service. The seafood pasta was very delicious and the Messi Cana pizza was good as well. Would recommend!

Loved the pasta at this place, especially the tagliatelle tartufo and the eggplant ravioli. The desserts were great as well. This place is really yummy!

Salads were good but a bit dry and atmosphere was nice. Waiters speak English and quite polite. Don’t wander of paying the service, it’s Italy.

Traditional Italian fine dining but with a casual atmosphere. The attentiveness of Abdul and his peers was perfect. Now on to the Tiramisu.....

I had the antricote and it was full of gristles and it also didn't taste very good. I also had a salad and the leaves were very bitter.
