I got the sweet n sour shrimp, honey garlic chicken balls, and the beef n mixed veggies. At first glance portions looked good ..but little deceiving as it appears they use excess breading to make the item seem larger ..which also throws off the meat to breading ratio. Items where noticably Inconsistently heated.. weather it be 2 different items of the same dish or in one bite, the meat for the beef n veg had a slimy texture.. I got a great portion of rice but again took a bite and part of it seemed like it was just taken out of the fridge. The flavour in all the dishes was pretty good. To be fair over all wasn't the best but I've had worse. I'm seeing similar reviews and complaints by others so it's obviously an issue. For me personally food temperature is a huge concern, I probably won't order it again. First and last. I would not recommend to a friend.

About 2 vears ago I had last ordered and was disappointed with the delivery which took close to 3 hours.....food was good. Two years later .... the food hinged on inedible. The breaded shrimp and squid were battered excessively .... 3/4 volume was batter. The chicken balls were good, the gingered beef disappointing and the chow mein flavorless, matching the chicken fried rice. No lemons included in shrimp and squid. Overall 3 thumbs down with only one person reviewing. But the delivery time had improved at 1.75 hours on a 3.5 km delivery. The delivery woman was extremely pleasant. Came to 80$ with two greasy egg-rolls. 2 YUKS

My family and I had dined-in with New China Kitchen last night and were thrilled by the service we received. Becky went above and beyond to ensure our time at the restaurant was pleasant and our needs met. Honestly, we’d never seen such an upbeat and friendly person, she was incredible - all while busily taking care of what appeared to be everything up front and the onslaught of online orders ringing in. Quite amazing. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the bill was lower than expected. Lots of value here. Would recommend!

Ordered the deluxe chicken fried rice and was disappointed as it didn't look fried, it looks like white rice thrown together with some soy sauce, there were clumps of white rice that had no soy sauce on it at all so it was thrown together without any effort to make it properly. The deep fried breaded ribs were meh, nothing special. We order takeout as I don't think we would eat in as the place looks dirty and unkept. The lady that served me was very pleasant and that's the reason why I gave two stars.

My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time and the customer service was really great! Our order was ready on time, everything was packaged very nicely and the food tasted amazing! We will definitely be ordering again and dining in!

First time ordering and probably the last. I specifically asked if the order comes with rice and the girl on the phone said yes and kept giggling, got the order and no rice. Honestly the only thing I liked was the broccoli in the chow mein. Ginger beef was not good at all, there was tiny pieces of beef with tons of batter. Better luck with finding a good chinese food place in St. Vital.

We had softball practice near by and thought to drop in for a meal before hand. It did not disappoint. Server was very attentive and a delight. Service was quick and the food was top notch delicious. I was very very impressed. Don't skip the complimentary consume. Parking on street only available during the week at 6. We parked in back and had no issue. Highly recommend.

Terrible wonton soup with no flavour. Might as well be hot water, do not get king pao chicken cuz its a watered down glazed dish, beef dish tasted exactly like bland watery Kung Pao chicken dish. Lifeless and never buying from here again.

I had to wait another 25 minutes from the expected pick-up time from the phone call.. The food just didn't have any flavor to it and the Kung Pao Beef wasn't spicy or barely had any beef vs. the vegetables in the dish. I'd like to try the buffet sometime for a different experience here.

I had my meal delivered. Temp wise it was so hot I had to let it cool down, I've never had food delivered that hot, it was great. The Shrimp Cantonese Chow mein was really good. I would have gave 5 stars but the egg roll wasn't very good. I'll definitely order from them again.

I tried their combination plate with sweet & sour chicken balls, shrimp, pork, egg roll, and rice. The combination came with huge portions which was nice. The food was good, but the rice could have used more flavor and less dry pork. The sweet and sour sauce was good as well (some places do it with too much vinegar).

Would have given several minus zero stars if it was available. Ended up with food poisoning from the undercooked pork ribs and shrimp. Do not recommend unless you enjoy being violently ill. Before the new owners took over the food was always excellent, ordered from them for years. Now… NEVER AGAIN

I was actually quite impressed and satisfied with quality and quantity of the food from New China Kitchen! The sweet and sour dish was tasty and didn’t taste like syrup! The other sour dish with bean sprouts and pickled veggies was so good, tasted so healthy! It’s a 5 star for me! ☺️

We used to love this place - the food was great, tasty and consistent. We ordered today and the food was disgusting - way too salty. Everyone that tried it, thought it was almost inedible. Another review mentioned that new owners took over, so that may explain it...
