We visit Coney Island Aquarium often and is very happy to see that its reopening as covid infection rates continues to go down in New York City. The kids enjoy the aquatic shows, and are fascinated with the exhibits. Lots of walking so dress comfortable. Parking is not cheap but there is a parking lot on site. Its very difficult to find parking on the streets but not impossible. The train station is nearby, so if you can take the train, please do it and save your self some money and headache. Coney Island Aquarium is educational for children as well for adults.
I used to work here as a docent as part of my science studies in 8th grade. At the education hall I was able to work one on one with 4th grade students, sharing my knowledge of marine biology with them thru hands on lessons. I worked the touch tank, as well, and was able to share this experience with the kids, too. They learned a lot as did I. It really is a great way for young kids to get inspired and interested in school and the sciences.
Really great place for the kids. It is small so you can see everything in a few hours. The shark exhibit is great! The best place to eat is at the roof top bar.
You can spend quality time with friends and family. Is a little bit small but they are under construction of new attractions. They hope to open by 2020.
Nice experience at the aquarium today. Definitely made improvements since before Sandy. Wish it were a bit bigger.
