If we could give less than one star, we would. KP the vehicle sales assistant appeared pained to sell the cars they did have in stock. On two seperate occasions, my husband and I inquired into the current wait times on brand new vehicles. We were both given different wait times, varying in months. We decided, despite the hoodwinking attempting to take place, to go in and take a look. The entire experience was negative. The feel of the showroom itself feels like a dodgy secondhand sales yard. While my husband parked our car, I walked in with our two small children. One of the sales reps, greeted me and asked how he could help. Seeing the new EV6, I responded, “I’d like to buy this car.” The sales rep scoffed and said, “I can’t sell it to you”. Great sales there, why not try? He then walked off without saying anything to get his associate, KP. KP walked over, shirt untucked, hand in pocket and on his phone. I initiated introductions and reiterated that I wanted to purchase the car. My husband arrived by this time. KP did not even address my husband, it took my husband prompting with “I didn’t catch your name,” for KP to introduce himself. My husband and I were ‘allowed’ to sit in the car, which, is a mid-range EV6, not top tier. My husband proceeded to ask questions, to which, KP noted “were not features available on this model”. Features such as having the entire mid console move backwards- which, we know it does. We had done our homework. We asked to take it for a test drive, which was laughed at, “this car isn’t leaving the showroom!” We then asked about battery warranty. KP smugly tapped the back window and stated, “7 years”. Again, incorrect, it is 8 years OR 160,000km (averaging 20,000km/year). I smiled and asked again, stating, “no I can read, I’m asking you what the BATTERY warranty is”. He then went out the back and googled it! After enough leading up the garden path, my husband asks, what are the differences in colour pricing. KP then sat at the showroom computer and just ran us through the colour options, not pricing. We then asked when they will be available for purchase, as he had stated 6 months to me on the phone, then 8 months to my husband. In the showroom, he stated 18 months. He then went on to say, “see that one over there (a cerato), I can maybe get it in 3 months”. We then said, “okay let’s talk price”. He responded, “oh the best I can do is $82,000.” I said, “come on, let’s do this properly. What’s the best price and what will you throw in? Floor mats? Tinting? And what bow can you put on it? I want pink” He then blamed ‘the boss’ saying, “he doesn’t like to budge on price, it is $82,000. We only do the standard red bow, it’s too hard to do another colour. Are you putting down a deposit? I only have 8 left I can sell”. Mind you he couldn’t guarantee they’d be on the shipment which was due at the end of the month. We walked out and straight into Paradise Mazda. I have a car within a week, top of the line, with extras and a fantastic price. Plus, a pink bow- it wasn’t too hard for them. I’ve since called Kia in Nuriootpa and spoke with Brett there who said, “on a Sorento there *might* be a 6-8month wait but EV6 are dependent on the stock they receive from Kia in Korea and we could be waiting up to 6 years”. That’s 6 YEARS for a car coming in at almost $100k, and who is to say the technology won’t be superseded by then? Avoid, save your money and get a better deal at other competitors. I cannot recommend Paradise Mazda enough and Kia Newspot need to retrain, remodel and review their “customer service”.

Very poor customer service! I've called several times with no response, left voice messages with no calls back. Recently I've organised for the handle to be replaced in my Grant Carnival, I've been told to wait 6-8 week I waited 10-12 weeks with no communication. Since no one was answering the calls and never called me back after leaving several voice messages I rocked up at the Service Department to find out what is happening and I found out that the job was never logged in the system!!!! Once finally the job was logged - it took them another 6-8 weeks to organise new handle. When it arrived I took a day off from work to bring the car in the morning. When I picked up last thing in the afternoon - I've been told that the handle wasn't broken but the rope was. What a joke!! All this wait for nothing!! On the invoice it said that the rope was replaced and everything works but when I tried to open the door it still didn't work. I went wack to the office and asked to fix it again but was advised by the office guy that there is nothing he can do and he asked to come the next day to sort it out. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!! Had to drive 2 cars with my wife, leave the kids with baby sitter just to find out that nothing has been done!! CRAZY!!! Very poor service, extremely disappointed, don't recommend it to anyone!!

We came down and asked for a test drive with Mr. Khan Cotton - who we found is quite the smooth talker and expert of using rhetorical questions to answer customer enquiries (and quick on correcting himself). I’ll give you a few examples: Customer: What’s your best price? Mr Khan Cotton: What does the number on the window read? Customer: Can we test drive it? Mr Khan Cotton: You ready to spent $xxxxx? Customer: Why can’t we test drive it? Mr Khan Cotton: Do you have $xxxxx to spend? Customer: We didn’t drive down here only to get a quote from you which we already did. So can we test drive or not? Mr Khan Cotton: Listen, my boss is VERY hard on the price and if I let you test drive and you liked it and asked me for a lower price, I could do NOTHING about it! Mr Khan Cotton: And it’s a brand NEW car! Customer: It says xxxxxkm mate. Mr Khan: I never said it was a new car. Yeah Mr Khan Cotton thank you SO much for your precious time and you could have done the damage without having to badmouth your dead-firm-on-price boss. He could be a nicer chap that you are, or is he? Very subpar customer service. NOT WORTH IT.

I have used the service department to get my car serviced on a few occasions. It has been a 5 star experience every visit. The level of service does not deviate and has remained consistent throughout. A close friend of mine who has used them to have his Kia Cerato serviced also confirms having been given a top notch customer service experience. In my case, I opt to wait whilst my car is being looked after. There is a very nice wait area with comfortable seating and a coffee/hot chocolate machine. The daily newspaper and a few magazines are made available for the customer to while away their time. There is even some colouring material available for any kids accompanying their parents. Darren (as well as his colleagues) with his pleasant and courteous manner is a standout performer in the Service department. The comments left behind by other satisfied customers confirms my experience. Keep up the good work guys

Newspot used car I would not recommend anyone to do business with them I bought a 2012 i30 I wanted to get I on finance the finance they offered was not responsible as well as they took over $2000 in fees and charges. I tried to source it from other lenders they were hesitant to finance a 2012 model. I did pay a deposit and signed a contract on condition on FINANCE approval although since was not able source finance so was willing to cancel the contract and asked for refund which the company didn't want to do. Eventually ended up paying upfront the full cost after several calls with the sales person. Also felt the price are way higher than the market standards which does not feel value for money. Very unsupportive and unreasonable terms Would not want anyone to be in the similar trauma and experience I went through.

I bought a Kia, and thought I was getting a great car with a great company to undertake my servicing. After the service was booked, I got my car back and then drove some friends around. We quickly realised the back passenger seat's seat belt had not been re-installed correctly by another company who did hail damage repairs. I asked KIA to check over a few things after the repairs and the incorrect seat belt was not mentioned. I checked the service report and on the report the seat belt checks was ticked. Obviously they did not check the seat belts, so i wonder what else they did not check thoroughly. I have also rang the service department 3 times to book in my car for an airbag re-call issue and left voice messages. I have gone straight to voicemail each time and no return phone call. Very disappointing.

  • Belinda Marks

If i could give ZERO stars I would. I never even got the chance to book my car in because I have never had to tell ANYONE on the phone that they were being rude before. He responded rudely again that he wasn't because he hadn't raised his voice once. I told him I felt that he was and could I please speak to someone else (since i wasn't getting anywhere with him). He then hung up on me! I then rang the Mile End South Dealership and was greeted by 2 different lovely staff members and I will be telling them just how lovely they are when I take my car in. Was also going to be looking for an upgrade while I waited but will be doing that elsewhere now!

  • Naveed Akhtar

My experience is quite bad at this KIA branch. Two times dropped my car and spend money on old car but still old car not fixed and secondly if you inform them nothing is working, they book you for next time. They dont take your feedback positive. Admn staff is not cooperative and no action on any feedback. I think now a days due to overselling, their customer service level is not at satisfactory level. The customer service of their department says " our work is not guaranteed, so you might need to come back many times to fix the same problem and pay it multiple times." What a lame service.

  • Nicki Johnson

I believe there was an ownership change a few months ago and it seems to have all gone to $hit since then. They never answer the phone, they don’t have parts that they said they ordered in, they have mis diagnosed 2 things on my Kia, they never have the time to call you and tell you when the car is ready. Mechanical service is terrible and customer service is also. I feel sorry for the office staff. Hayley and Skye have been nice to deal with in a terrible situation where they have no support and are left to deal with unhappy customers. Will not be going there again

  • Shailey Coleman

This business is run so poorly, the customer service , what customer service? They tell you the wrong information about fixing your car, they never return your phone calls and they lose all your information. If I ran my business like that I would be ashamed that people are getting treated like that. The manager has no apology so clearly shouldn't be running a business and the office staff are not on their game at all, stuffing up absolutely everything. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone, glad to see the back of them.

  • Katie Woollard

I just went to Paradise Motors where my friend picked up a new car. She had a bow.. was given flowers and made to feel like she got her first ever brand new car. When I went to kia my car was sitting there.. I was waiting for the "car delivery". Where I was showed the features and then literally drove off. This was my first ever new car and it felt like I was picking up a bag of groceries. Didnt realise how exciting it could have been until I came to Paradise Motors. Disappointed to say the least.

  • Dani Walker

Terrible service. No one wants to help you if there isn't a sale in for them. If you're already dealing with one person, no one else in the business will help you and they will continue to palm you off to the person you are dealing with. When you call, they are very rude on the phone before you've even stated your business. Would highly recommend dealing with another dealership if you can. The only reason we went with this dealership was because they happened to have the car we wanted in stock.

  • Adam Griffith

Great to see that Newspot identified the issues they had in regards to customer service and their teams extreme lack of interest in being even minutely helpful. I went back in for a service and was pleased to discover a whole new team - all EXTREMELY helpful and willing to help in any way they could. I was very impressed to see that this issue was addressed. Well done Newspot Kia, most large groups would ignore such issues. The new staff are amazing! Thank you all for your help!

  • John Croucher

Fantastic range of vehicles here to compare against. Wasn't pushed or anything, just got to speak with a guy. We were invited to sit in the car and offered a drive which we declined at that stage. Will take them up on it next week. They also passed on current pricing and have me a brochure. We will be back. Well we came back and ordered our new Seltos and were lucky that they had exactly what we ordered already on order with KIA. So we have now picked it up and are in love.

  • Geoffrey Newnham

Wanted to book a test drive for a new car which I've ordered via novated lease. They didn't want a bar of me and dismissed me curtly because "I should find out which dealership is ordering it, bye bye". Awkward, the RFT is out for my $75k acquisition and I could've pointed them to it so they got the sale. Now I'm explicitly telling my novate company that Newspot Kia IS NOT to be given the tender. I'd rather pay a higher price than fund this level of unprofessionalism.

  • Stacey B

I recently purchased a new Cerato from Newspot. I could not be happier with the great customer service I received from both Martin and Chris. They made my experience in trying to choose between models easier, as I was looking for a slightly larger vehicle than my previous one and couldn't choose between a Rio or Cerato. I never felt pressured through any stage of the sale which was also fantastic. I highly recommend Newspot if you're looking to purchase a new car.

  • Tiffany Knight

Went in to look at and test drive the Kia Sportage on Monday 4th of September. I was approached by a sales person who was disinterested and gave the impression he didn't want to be there. He seemed more interested in getting me out of the office and not wanting to sell me a car. Very poor sales approach. I did not feel comfortable at all. I'm looking at making a purchase ASAP. I will take my money to a different dealership who will respect me.

  • Cameron Zeccola

Shout out to Tommy Nyugen, who sold me my very first brand new car! Excellent service, professional and knowledgeable about any car I had questions about. I needed my car once finalised in a day's notice and he made it happen! He always went above and beyond (bought me an iPhone charger for the car) and never rushed any step of the process. Thanks so much Tommy and Kia who made this experience so memorable. #weflyasone

  • samslooks

We went in today to try and look at buying a car. We waited more than half an hour for a representative to speak to us. When someone finally spoke to us, we got to test drive a Kia Seltos. The car was okay, but nothing special. The test drive was accommodated by one of the reps, but we were only able to drive for around 10 minutes, which is not nearly enough to get a feel for the car. Safe to say I won’t be returning.

  • Harry Peterson

We came looking for a new car and found a few we were interested in, after looking at other dealerships. This place made us feel welcome. No pressure from the dealer and his his knowledge of the vehicles was great. Adam answered all our queries. We settled with the Kia Rio. All the extras and the value for money was hard to resist and drove away with a full tank and 12 months registration as part of the deal.

  • Coye

Service on this place is not costumer oriented, the girls on the front service desk are always disrespectful and even u are paying for a service they are always rude, seems like they work with the moon faces, is always like I are asking for a favour instead of paying. They should be trained how to respect the customers, don’t buy cars here unless u are happy to be mistreated but the service people

  • Yve

DO NOT GET WORK DONE ON YOUR KIA HERE. We took our Kia to Newspot in 2021. Car was still under warranty. Needed windscreen fluid container repaired/renewed. Ran dry the following week. They ordered a new display screen (the one for reverse camera/stereo etc). Its now 2023, and after several calls, we never got called back and are still waiting. So taking our complaint to Kia Australia. Terrible.

  • Tony Forte

I purchased a Kia Cerato Sport. This car is amazing value, build quality, features, and drive. All the staff at Newsport Kia were simply professional, helpful, and faultless with service and help and attention to detail. Special thanks to Michael Gupelle, and Paul Kavenaugh. Michael went out of his way and provided premium customer service. Thanks to I dealt with at Newspot Kia. Tony Forte.

  • Stella De Zen-Cook

Purchased cerato sport plus last week...so happy with my new car....the staff were so helpful, friendly and made us feel welcomed, Tommy Nguyen, with his smile and humour, was so helpful and very confident and certainly knew his product. Thanx so much Tommy and the rest of the staff (including the port supporters lol), would highly recommend them. Great staff, great service, well done all.

  • Mypanda A Bear

Wandered in to have a look at the SOrento range unsure of what model I want without seeing them up close and was treated like an inconvenience for asking a few questions about the differences in models. Salesman wasn’t even remotely interested in helping me nor showing me any cars, couldn’t answer the second question I asked, he was abrupt rude and dismissive. I’ll be looking elsewhere.

  • Hemir8969

As rideshare operator leasing a new kia was told when I picked it up it needs a check at 3000klms to ensure all is well at any Kia dealership. Walked in to make an appointment and well the people at the service desk where so disinterested as well as rude it's the worst comstomer service I have ever encountered in Adedelaide. Really good service.........NOT

  • Guy MALPASS

Walked in to New Spot Kia on a Monday to grab a brochure and walked away 40 mins later having ordered a brand new MY17 Cerato. No pressure, just good advise, great deals, plenty of discounts and options. Picked up my car the following Saturday ready to go, thank you Tommy, Alycia and Andre for a great experience and great service, I love my car!!! :)

  • Ann Warrior

So happy with the service from NewSpot Motors. Our sales person Tommy was especially very helpful and assisted us in getting the best deal possible for our new car. He explained all the features of the car and phoned us the next day with a courtesy call to see if we needed further assistance. Thanku New Spot and especially Tommy

  • Lexie

The worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced. I drove all the way from city to here but was told I have to agree on the price and promise I will buy the car before I am allowed to do test drive because the boss man doesn’t care if I want to buy it and he will just drive it himself. How ridiculous the service is!

  • devlyn burgess

Tried to book mums car in for service. Beware you need VIN as well as rego number just to book car in for a service. Lady said it wasn’t her problem I didn’t have it available. I went elsewhere and only needed rego number. Won’t be going back to new spot as this is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with them.

  • Tress 989

Tried to get our new Carnival booked in for it's initial service. Took three phone calls and even did an online request. Several days later finally received an email, but had already booked in with Stillwell Kia. Hoping this review is a prompt for management to investigate as this is no way to run a business.

  • Jason Oregan

My partner picked her kia up after service drove home with a well under inflated tyre front driver's side as the warning light was on. Could of come off the bead as she was on a 80 km road on way home service report stated car was road tested on invoice YES RIGHT Very disappointed indeed to say the least.

  • Katie Worrall

Calls to service department constantly go to answering machine and no one returns calls. Always having to chase. Charged $40 for loan car and service does not include a complimentary wash. Contacted 2 other Kia dealerships; only $20 for loan car and service includes a complimentary wash inside and out...

  • John Wells

I have a 2016 Kia Sportage and have been waiting for warranty repair parts for 6 months. 7 year warranty is great but fails if parts are unavailable. I followed this up 2 months ago and have heard nothing since. Kia Australia get your act together. Update: 10 months on the warranty items have been fixed.

  • MUHAMMED AKKOYUN

I was disappointed with the car service I received. I have been waiting for more than three months for my car to be fixed, but I have not received any updates or communication from them. I expected better customer service and quality work from them. I hope they can improve their service in the future.

  • Matt G

I have been calling and calling for months now and i have left several messages to get my car Serviced and the phone is NEVER answered... it always goes to answering machine and nobody calls me back... Initially i was happy with Newspot when i had my cars first service but now it am just angry.

  • Mannie Kaur

We cannot thanks KP enough. He has been so wonderful throughout our journey from testing to getting our car in hands! He has been a excellent representative. He kept us updated and made sure the moment was special for us as it was our first big car! Cannot recommend him enough! Thank you KP ♥️

  • John Hopf

Car not cleaned when serviced. For the price, kinda expected a clean inside/outside/both. Booked online for a service a monthe in advance, no response one way or the other. Called to confirm the week before and no booking made. The earliest available was a month later. Yeah nah.

  • Rupesh Goel

They have advertised a Kia Sorento GT-Line for sale but when contacted I was told that it was a demo car:( Though disappointing, their GM took the pains by ringing up and made it a point to explain the situation - probably it was a wrong day and time for me:) All good, thanks.

  • Jasmin Lee

Absolute horrible experience and customer service. Dealt with a man called Adam and he was arrogant and not helpful what so ever. Promising things that were never a thing in the first place and when trying to call him to ask details about the car he would reject my calls.

  • Tanya Benade

Got my new Kia Cerato sport yesterday. Tommy was amazing and went over and beyond to make sure I was happy and understood every aspect of the car and its features. I would highly recommend Kia Newspot and especially the awesome salesman Tommy when making a purchase.

  • Steven Penley

Dont give you much time to think. Sadly live up to the normal car sales approach. Want to note your contact details asap and really dont like you to explore different options. Standard car sales pressure to get you focused on one car type and persuade you to decide.

  • Pamela Liakos

Just purchased my brand new Kia Cerato. Khan at Newspot was amazing. Rang about a cerato, held the car for me to come and test drive... a week later I'm driving home with my new car. Lovely people and would recommend buying from them. Show room beautiful and clean.

  • Sue Hall

The Service department always lives up to the name, SERVICE! Always eager to help, and always friendly. This time we were also assisted by Rudi in new cars. We really appreciated his manners and his non pushy approach. We definitely recommend Newspot.

  • Michael Alder

Very friendly service, not your usual pushy sales based focus! Tommy was extremely resourceful and took ownership & followed up even the smallest of issues for my wife and I when purchasing our first bramd new car! Thanks guys... we appreciate it!

  • Beth Saunderson

They never return calls finally went in to book a service for my kia made a booking, spoke to the young lady at the desk and said we had called a few times and could never get through she said they got rid of the “deadwood” doesn’t seem

  • Kowshik P

Getting an appointment for car service was a challenge, as a first time customer the staff were extremely helpful, neatly maintained waiting rooms and professional! However I felt that the replacement of a spare part labor was charged

  • Lisa Mersh

I am extremely happy with the sevice I recieved from Tommy and all the guys at New Spot Motors Salisbury. I would highly recommend anyone looking at buying a new or used car to go and see the friendly staff at New Spot Motors.

  • Kylee Gosnold

0 Stars - Never respond to any emails or phone calls! Been waiting months for a call back. So many complaints and bad reviews for the same issue...you would think that it might prompt the owner(s) to rectify the issue! …

  • Steve Haskell

Purchased a new Kia Sportage in March. Was expecting a 12 month wait and got the call saying car was ready, a nice Christmas present. Simon was my contact from purchasing right through to pick up. He was great to deal with!

  • Tomislav Kuzmanovski

Thank you Newspot Kia, especially Phil Kavanagh for looking after us and giving us a great deal on a new Cerato. The best experience we ever had at a car dealership. Excellent customer service! Highly recommend them!

  • Barbara Provis

Initially dealt with Matt, he was good, still learning and a bit nervous bur he got the job done. Did eventually buy a used car after much tooing and froing. Hope all is well with our purchase. Time will tell.

  • Cheryl Rodda

Excellent customer service from Adrian in the Service Department - went above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle was repaired and returned to me as fast as possible - Thanks Adrian and the Kia Service Team

  • Catsbiscuit 1

The salesman kept walking off as if he had got better things to do when we were trying to ask questions....their loss just bought a new Ford Escape our first choice had been a Sportage ...shame …

  • Judith green

Had my car fixed due to a recall wasn't told personally my car was ready done by text when they knew I was in the waiting area. When I got in my car to leave it absolutely smelt of body odour. Foul.

I had a very good new car purchase experience with Newspot Kia. The sales person (Tommy) was helpful and knowledgeable and was able to secure a vehicle to my exact specification. Good job!

  • John Fitzgerald

We are looking at cars as thinking of upgrading. The salesperson was very friendly, answered all our questions, and was not too pushy. I will certainly consider Newspot when ready to buy.

  • Aimee Alsbury

Went here at 3pm and everyone was packing up despite closing at 5. We were told the car we were looking at in the showroom was sold and not to touch it but offered no extra assistance.

  • Shubhang Joshi

The sales person by name KP, was an utter disappointment. He didn’t have the basic sense of greeting & also talking in a inferior way. went forward and booked a raw 4 the same day.

  • Matt Soininen

Loved getting our new car. Khan was able to get us what we wanted without a long wait. He was able to show us the features of the car. Very happy with the whole process.

  • Lee Judd

Several phone calls, messages left, no one has ever got back to us, disgusting customer service, intended to upgrade to another Kia but not now. Totally useless.

  • Skyview Conveyancing

The service centre was quick and efficient and left my car in pristine condition. I highly recommend the service centre and sales team for all your car needs.

  • Darren James

Would never deal with this lot of incompetents again. Every word they speak is not true - anything for a deal. One star but only because I have to Never again

Long story short, the service department is over priced, terrible customer service and unreliable.
