Absolutely awestruck by the standard and talent at last night’s NHSPA 2023 school gala. From the professionalism and maturity of the students; through to the thrilling and moving musicianship in the Mozart number, the audience was captivated from beginning to end. Not to mention beguiling drama; breathtaking dance performances and a melange of modern stylistic elements in the visual art exhibits. The NHSPA kids may appear like any rowdy phalanx of pubescent energy in the playground (yes albeit slightly less conventional ). But throw them on the stage and watch the magic and maturity!!! unfold. If anything or anyone had to teach you about the art of teamwork surely it would be learned at this school. I moved my daughter here from a private school in Year 7 as a local student and have never looked back. The mentoring and leadership of Nilaufer Rajwar and the entire year 11 teaching staff is exactly what education should be about - lighting a fire not filling a bucket. Cannot thank you all enough for all you do for our kids and little wonder 58 students awarded exemplary performances in this year’s HSC. Congratulations. NHSPA. .

One of the best performing art schools in Sydney. It has the state of the art auditoriums, art rooms, to the sound proofing music rooms this school has it all. Located in the Innerwest location, the public transport makes it easier for out of the area students to travel and study. It’s probably less than 10 minutes away from the CBD but who’s counting the time when the travelling through King street.

Drama department is biased towards one group of students and doesn't give the time of day to anyone else. Don't go here unless your parents have convinced you that you are the center of the universe. If you don't have this mindset you won't be able to throw tantrums at the right times in year 7 meaning that once you get older everyone will want you to die.

WHY??? I am giving this a one star because I can give it 0. I didn't learn anything from this school. The school ( from my experience) has not dealt with bullying well at all. DON'T GO HERE if you cant motivate yourself to do the work!!!!!

Very disappointing school. My child used to attend as a drama student only to find that it was Department of Education Drama that you can do at any other public school. They do not deal with any problems whatsoever, would not recommend.

This school has been overshadowed by Bang chan which is a total shame as the the worlds next great Morris Dancer or Accordion player may come from here. Good school, kids love it.

this school has blessed stays because bangchan came here. if you havent then go listen to their newest album ‘MAXIDENT’ but u should already have listened to it
