I am absolutely amazed by the wide variety of books and magazines that this store carries. The quality of costumer service amazes me as well as their friendliness and willingness to help out young readers, and old readers alike. I love that they take in from the piblic and give it back. Most of the time i would feel bothered by the fact that a store would only give me store credit for items I've bought in for them... But not here. I am a book lover and i feel like every time i come in this store i just in lost in genre after genre.... Whatever store credit i am given i am just in awe by the amount of books i can walk out with. Prices are amazing, selection is amazing, and i get a very calm relaxing vibe from being in the store... From time to time it can get busy, but that doesn't stop them from making aure customers are having a good experience. I will always go to nine lives before any other used book store... I feel like a dollar spent here is well spent. I also love giving to them because i know my books are in good hands.

Fell in love with this store the second I walked in. It's beautiful and has a real charm to it, the employee's take their time when helping customers. Suzanne was a delight and took her time with my sister and I going over everything we brought in to show her. She looked at everything and gave us a very generous offer. I was tired of dealing with half price books and their lowball offers. Then someone told me about this store. I'm overjoyed that I took a chance and came in today. This experience has made my week! I'll definitely be stopping by if I'm looking to get rid of some books, or if I'm hunting for a rare book. Thanks for taking care of us today! We'll be back soon.

Best Bookstore in town. Zan (or as my family calls her: Book Gma), the owner/operator of the shop, is beyond amazing. Bring up any book to the counter and she can talk to you about it no matter what it is. This store feels like you're on an adventure and tucked safe in bed simultaneously. Teacher's and homeschoolers get 10% off purchase price! Sundays are Comic Book day (10% off comics I believe). You can also trade in old books for store credit. Check out the clearance section (located at the bottom of almost every bookcase) all clearance items are $1 or less. Make sure you go all the way to the back of the store to find the "Cool Old Books" it's worth it, trust me.

I Love this store. Everyone is kind and very knowledgeable. Even though their selection has shrunk some from what they use to carry at their larger location. It's still my favorite place to spend an afternoon. There's plenty to see. Books, tape cassettes, CD's, DVD's, VHS, records, sticker's, some playing cards esp Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and a bit of Pokemon (Though do be kind about the quantity of cards you purchase because they do tend to get small children in who'd love to get into these playing cards too. Like you once did as a child. ^^ ) You can also find Cookbooks, Nature books, Vintage, Bible's, Magazines, etc. I love this place and will always come back. ^^ <3

If you want to get lost in a book store. This is it. They have so many things. Stickers, movies, Pokemon cards, records, magazines, stuffed animals, a bargain bin for kids that range from .50 cents to a $1, anime, vintage books, cds the list goes on. This is a great little shop and local business. You'll find things in here that make half price bookstore look like a corporate jerk. Support local business. Get lost in books. My kiddo loves it and she's 4. Go with 20 bucks and easily walk out with loads of things. My husband has to cut us off like we're at a bar. Poor guy forever holding our books.

I walked in and immediately knew I had made a good call. I left with a smile on my face and an armful of books. Stacks and stacks of cheap, quality used books. Everything is organized and I had no problems navigating the store. I found quite a few books I had been hoping to buy and a few new favorite as well. They also sell CDs, DVDs, betamax, VHS, and audiobooks. The selection is truly eclectic and I had a bunch of fun going through the entire store. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly as well. Overall I had a great experience and will recommend this particular gem to all my book-loving friends.

My first time there last week and what an amazing hidden gem I came across! Greeted by a few welcoming workers in the front and enjoyed their seemingly gleaming endless selection of great titles! I was actually shopping for my sister who was having a baby soon and the cashier, super nice dude I could tell genuinely wished her a safe delivery and even gave me a small gift for her. I cannot recommend this store enough! Every time I come in, I receive friendly and welcoming service from the staff. Everyone is polite and loves to talk books with you. It is like a treasure hunt every time we go here since their selection is always changing. I have found some very rare and hard to find books that the chains never have in stock. They are honest people really love what they do and go out of their way to make it a positive experience for you. They are one of the last independent bookstores anywhere in the area and I always try to support the whenever I can.

Told my wife they were taking in books so we went there to get store credit. Well we drove across town only to br told they weren't taking books what a waste of time. But thats not it they had a sign saying waite for entry well we sat there and watched 4 people leave and my wife and I went to the door and some Oldman said we are at full capacity. I knew they weren't so we left I've went there back when they were in the old building and was never treated like this maybe the old dude needs a different line of work just picking and choosing who can go in and who can't

5 star service. This bookstore truly went above and beyond for me. I purchased a book there. Later I realized that I had lost my wallet, called the store, but the person I talked to was unaware that someone turned it in. The amazing part is that an employee called my mother in Pennsylvania to tell her they had my wallet. I don't know how they located her, but am grateful and they deserve to be noted. I got it back with EVERYTHING still inside. Definitely never expected that kind of effort to help a stranger from a bookstore.

This place felt like home mixed with your favorite childhood library. The store has such a comfy vibe and the owner was the sweetest woman ever. She had a whole conversation with me about books and it was lovely and just want I needed that day. She knows her books and even helped me look for a book I was talking about. I ended up leaving some great books - including a signed book of one of my favorite titles - stickers, and a bookmark! Something for everyone here and I look forward to my next visit :) highly recommend!

I remember this store in its original location . Cats in the store and individuals had meetings there and the staff was friendly. In its new location , Its okay but a lil cramped. The staff is friendly depending on who's there. I've asked for assistance in finding books and videos after trying to locate the items myself and at times employees are helpful . There are other times where they just say its over there in that section and immediately ignore you. I dont let that distract me as I always enjoy shopping here.

Nine Lives has been a part of my life since day one. To this day, my family and I are regulars and we make it a point to stop by often. It’s a lovely place and you’ll be glad you stopped by. The staff, though small, has some of the biggest hearts. It’s got a very versatile selection of old, used, new and collectible books and comics, DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs, cassettes, stickers, pins, game cards, and so much more. I encourage everyone to stop bu this wonderful store and make a purchase or donate.

This is not your typical resale book store. From the outside I thought it was gonna be small but WOW it seems huge inside with rows & rows of books and a room I would have completely missed if I wasn't such an explorer. The gentleman working was very nice & very helpful. The books are reasonably priced. They also resale vinyl records, DVDs, and there is a great kids section. Old old old books to new books. I wish I would have had more time and lots more money.

Can I just say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORE!!!!!!!!!! I go by as often as I can to see if they have anything I can to my series collections, but I usually end up with at least a few of their clearance books as well (some for only a quarter!). Staff is super friendly. The place is a little organized, but overall it can seem like a mess if you're use to shopping at the big name book stores. Aside from that, this place is a total gem.

Great selection of books at great prices. Used of course but not in terrible condition. If a teacher or homeschool parent can get a discount. I haven't wanted to try yet but from what I understand you can trade in books for credit to buy books also so if you have any you don't want to keep anymore can trade in to get ones you want. Have gotten lots of books for my daughter here.

This store is really complete, they have not just books but music, and other stuffs as well. Also you can find a large section of books organized by themes and by first letters. I saw a good section of pretty old literature. You can find a zone of foreign language with to many option (not just religious one as usual) and apart they have a room for children and young readers.

Owner is very sweet and genuinely enjoys her job. She's right across the street from my home so I will be visiting more often. This shop not only offers books, they have stickers, collectors cards, CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes. They have a big children's section which is a must for me. First time in the new store and although it's small compared to the older bigger one everything is labeled, there's signs everywhere to find the genre your looking for. And they've still got all the books, dvds, audio tapes, hell even magic cards your looking for. And the staff is very nice and talkative. I love it....It's a great little store and its sooo close to me too.

I remember when Nine Lives used to have friendly cats roaming the store. They don't anymore but they are a snug little quiet spot you can go to find low priced books, movies and music. Awesome finds, one of a kind books, magazines, etc. Cozy atmosphere... A little antithesis to Barnes and Noble. It's got an 80's vibe to where you feel it's an old-school bookstore. There aren't stores like this anymore and I love it! I miss the cats that used to roam around in the old location. And let me mention how friendly the staff is. I can't wait to go back!

You can tell that the majority of these titles have been specifically selected because they're not just "used books" but hard to find books as well as a carefully curated selection of classics and "must haves" to complete a home library or just to expand your reading list. The prices were good and the lady working there was charming and helpful. A real little gem.

This place is great. They recently moved locations and maybe I'm biased because I live in the area, but I couldn't be happier. The store had a classic book that came in perfect condition, which you won't find at a half-price bookstore. The prices are fair and this place has tons of stickers, so if you're like me and like to decorate, this is the place for you!

This is my wife's favorite bookstore. The prices are awesome. And they have everything from books, comics, stickers, bookmarks, buttons, games, cassettes, dvds, kids section...the list goes on. Their bathroom isn't the greatest and needs work. But other then that there's nothing wrong with this place and I have to drag my wife out every time.

Found so many great dvds and blu ray movies for stay at home quarantine. Also found my fiancé his favorite novels at this small book shop. Must look at what they have. They also do take donations of books and movies music. Good way to recycle your good items for others to use. As you enter YODA greets you and then the sweetest lady ever.

Nine Lives Books store is a wonderful place that has the name Nine Lives because the owner would use much of the money from the used book sales to spay and neuter cats and save their lives. If you like a variety of books and comics for a reasonable price then this is your store. I've gone a few times and the people that work there have always been so nice and helpful. I just recently bought a book about 1000 recipes for chocolate. Whatever you're looking for this place has got to have it or they know where to get it.

Wonderful store, the woman was very helpful and I found some amazing prices for study guide books! I'm glad to spend an hour or 2 just browsing, it's bigger than I thought it was too. They also have a children's book section, board games, magazines, comics, DVDs, records etc... Highly recommend.

Great place for books definitely!!! But movies and vinyls are some what not that great I always end up returning them cuz there either scratched,broken but if u go on a lucky day you might a good vinyl for the low ...but if you like books and cheap books at that this is definitely your place

Cool little hole in the wall shop. The prices are a bit questionable on comics for being a second hand store. Every comics was priced at the MSRP price, but I only question it with dragons lair being right next door. Besides that the store owner was very kind and there cool little oddities.

Went there to browse their collection and found some books that I was looking for, really friendly staff, lost of movies even VHS if you are looking for them and great prices, I will say to visit it even you aren't looking for anything in particular you may find something good like I did.

BEST PLACE TO TRADE IN COMIC BOOKS . if you're looking to get top dollar for your books/comic books, this is the only place to go. I had around 35 single issue comic books and they offered me $25 cash or $70 credit. The comics were all $1

I have been a customer of 9 Lives Books for many years. I was delighted to learn about their new location. I found a lot of great books, and picked out 1 to purchase along with a sticker, two charms, and 2 bookmarks. I will be back.

So I like this store but it's so much smaller than the old one. I like some of the new additions they have like the sicker drawers they have but it's gone downhill since the time of the cats, I'll be sad if it goes forever one day.
