It was not too busy when we visited this Sunday, just about 14 people there. It could use a new and bigger playground and some other improvements. I found it too crowded for me and my toddler to attempt to enjoy, with the 4th surge of COVID19 only just dissipating, because even though there wasn'ta big crowd, they were sharing the small area to play on or sit at and there's no place left to practice social distancing, unless of course you want to sit on the ground or go play disc golf instead. This park is not as attractive as others in the area/Mesquite. I forgot to take a picture, but I don't think I'll be returning to this park.
Norbuck Park is 100 + acre Park between Buckner Boulevard and Easton Road right at the intersection of North Buckner Boulevard, Northwest Highway and Audelia Road. And it's ride across Northwest Highway from Flag Pole Hill Park. The park has walking trails, baseball field, football and soccer fields, outdoor basketball court, playgrounds and picnic tables, tennis courts and both Grassi and tree-filled areas. Access to the park is easy and there is plenty of parking, water fountains and restrooms. It's a great place to spend a lazy afternoon walking the dog or pursuing a more athletic adventure.
Limited parking (can get very crowded on weekends). Some spots for picnic tables. Nearby walking trail that will take you around the lake. Nearest store for snacks/drinks is the 7/11 on Garland Rd on the south side of the lake (surrounding structures are all very nice and expensive private homes). One of the very few places in Dallas with regular police patrols (bicycle cops).
This never-ending maze of trails is perfect for anyone wanting to escape the Texas heat and go on a hike. There are a fair amount of hills, but all of the trail is well-marked. Norbuck Park doesn't have the same charm as walking around White Rock, so I definitely wouldn't recommend making this trip if that is what you are looking for. It can be very crowded during peak hours.
Very nice park with trails, a baseball field, and open field. Dogs are allowed to be off leash although the park is not gated. Many runners and cross country teams also train here and occasionally the park hosts races in the Fall. It's also easy to run across to White Rock Lake from here. Unfortunately, the park often gets overgrown and excessively muddy.
Good location right up against White Rock lake. Some landscape construction going on currently August 2019. Parking is decent considering the popularity of the White Rock lake area. Had a great time running in the Hot Trot race for the men in Blue and one of their fallen soilders.
We come here for walking along the water when it’s cool with cup coffee or tea! We also play tennis at the court across the way - it’s part of the park - it’s great location - could use some cleaning and the gates need to be replaced but overall a great park
If you have multiple small kids this park is small enough to keep an eye on them and lots of shade made it a better choice than many larger playgrounds. Then, there are trails to explore. Lots of adventures. Love this park
This has always been a great venue for sports like pickup softball and ultimate frisbee games, but also host to many running events as well. The lake being so close makes this a great spot to start your bike ride or jog.
Norbuck Park is beautiful. It's a tad difficult to access (e.g., you have to know which exits to take) and they don't really mow the grass frequently enough. But otherwise, it's a great park in a great location.
White Rock Lake Park's oft forgotten Park across the street tons of green space, ball fields, a tennis courts and small hiking trail in a tranquil generally undisturbed pocket of Dallas. Worth checking out.
It's a good small little park, with the morning shade it is nice. There is a wasp hive there though and my son got stung 3 times, so I would suggest waiting to play there till it's removed. June 2020
Wonderful place to visit! If you want to grill make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than you expect to start in order to pick your spot. Has nice playgrounds for kids
I cannot believe there are baseball fields at this place. The ground has lots of holes where anyone playing in the outfield can easily twist an ankle. Plenty of parking.
Very scenic primitive trail, lots of adventureful little off shoots of the well beaten paths. This time of the year is full of wildflowers with many more yet to bloom.
Great grounds, family friendly, walking trails, fishing. You couldn't ask for a more serene place to unwind your mind from a long day. Highly recommended.
Some decent trails here and a huge open space with baseball diamonds and a playground. The trails are behind the baseball fields up the hill.
Great little place for a short hike/run. Very clean, would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a good place in the city to exercise!
The park is in good condition. But when we got there. One of our field was not mark and it had some small lump of grass I side the field
Great place to let the kids run off some steam on a cool day. Unfortunately we were there on a hot day, but not the fault of the park.
The trails are good for walking and running. I'm not sure if they're good for bicycling.
Playground
There's a playground.
A lovely little park with some ball fields, playgrounds, and space to play ultimate frisbee or other similar sports.
This is a great little park, not far from White Rock Lake, views of the lake and downtown are nice.
Fun place for the kids to play. Beautiful view of Dallas doesn't hurt either... Picturesque!
Lovely park for a 5K race (Too Hot to Handle) with scenic views of White Rock Lake.
Like your in the country, plenty of parking. Please leash your pets! …
The trails on the south side of the park are fun for mountain biking.
Hike/mountain bike/equestrian trails in wooded area of the park.
My great grandchildren love this place.
Nice clean park with great veiws!
